I have been hearing a lot of dissatisfaction and dissapointment of book 2 MC's pathway, the red priest. Here is my thoughts, hypoteses, and speculations on them.
°This pathway focus on direct damage, in other words, them using their fire powers is more than enough for most of the time as it is more powerful/stable than the extraordinary items of the same class. Unlike in the Fool path where the only 'pure attack' they had is air bullet, which is easily overpowered by anything (the reason why Klein uses death knell in the first place). If you don't have the brain, most ability in Fool pathway is underwhelming, easily countered. So they have to be creative about it and makes sure they follows a strict requirement to be sure of victory (look at Rosago, a sequence 5 who is counterkilled by a beyonder 3 sequence lower than him lol). While other like Red Priest pathway has more freedom on battle advantage, especially the unexpected ones. It's like complaining how knight who just slashes their sword is weaker than a mage who uses all of this astonishing magic where in actuality, they had the same potentcy.
So here's my thought on future development: the Southern Continent. Red Priest promotion is to "stirs up a war that sweeps an entire continent and gain victory". We know the Southern Continent right now is just a bunch of colonies. Now, how about Lumian's war is to free the Southern Continent from colonazition, in other words, a revolutionary war? You damn sure Klein will supports the hell out of it.
But what about his allies anchors?
This is where I think Klein status as an above sequence will be used. So we all agree that the only god he absolutely supports is Evernight goddess right?
What is Southern Continent most common beliefs? Death.
Who hold sit on the death path right now? That's right, it's our Night Goddess.
We know that to not distrub the anchor, Evernight decides to conceal the news that the War God has fall, that the Twilight Giant path had been occupied by her. Why can't she do the same with death?
Heck, I can even imagine both her and Klein will work together to have the previous death descendent, most probably our dear teacher Azik Eggers, to be some sort of figure head on the newly independent Bayam state. More reason for Klein to supports this plan asides from his weakened moral compass.

** - Most Tarot Club is being tasked with something related with Red Priest pathway and Southern Continent (Rose School of Thought).**

I know a lot of you loves Medici. Me to actually, LOVE this fucking man. He didn't experienced all of that shits for a village boy to grab the place he'd been eyeing since forever. But let's all try to slowly accept his fate just incase, like what the CN readers do 🙏
(BTW, I'm not denying either if Medici became Calamity. After all, I don't know what was Adam cooking with making Anderson pregnant with a high sequence Red Priest characteristic. It could be for Medici advantage for all I know, he is his most loyal subordinate after all. Yes I know Adam indirectly betrayed him with helping Alista Tudor, but for a fully divine being, I dont think it's strange for wanting to kill a person today and then wanting to ressurect him tomorrow (my previous theory for it being it's for Medici ressurection, with physical body and what not).
BUT, it could also for Lumian now that I had read book 2 further. I have a feeling Cordu abnormallity also has a hands in Adam, with all of those sus coincidences and suspected Sun Church take over by Ancient Sun God (now Adam). And we do have that sentences "when Lumian first 'praise the sun' in the dream world, he felt a warm current gazing through the wall" (so it's either Eternal Blazing Sun or you know, Adam. I personally think that is Adam because how strange it is for sun believer to call the sun god "father" even though Eternal Blazing Sun didn't have that in his honorable name. And you know who did? Ancient Sun God).
Anyway for this theory, I think Adam is testing/reach some sort a cooporation with COI (maybe there is a friendly outer god?). Not probable because it looks like COI is pure evil? Well this is the guy that planned True Creator son to descent in a town full of people, as long as the cause is greater for the majority, this guy will sacrifice anything.
coughcough This is mostly just me as an Ancient Sun God/Adam/True Creator apologist, you can skip it if you like.
While it is not out of the question that Adam do all of this because of his plan (to do anything bad to COI) I just want to say, is True Creator bad? I don't really think so. 'He' just unwillingly crazy, 'His' previous self is a man who single handedly free humans from the slavery of mythical creatures, and also makes today's power system clearer to others, hence decrease beyonders death rate to a considerable level. We can see how Ancient Sun God is an awesome guy not only for the result of 'his' ability, but also 'his' morality. Look at silver city teaching (acting method as a common knowledge), look at the second blasphemy slate. 'He' doesn't want to hide critical information to 'his' people. 'He' should also not be as inhuman/cold as we though 'he' would. I mean look at True Creator, 'his' remaining humanity, and the organization 'he' build. 'His' core idea is to disclose the extraordinary to the common people so they can have measure to protect themself (Aurora Order and Iron and Blood Cross Order, which Anderson had previously joined to btw). 'His' reason is good, though 'his' cause is bad.
Also, Ancient Sun God/True Creator likes beautiful people and it's canon lol (look at the countdown trivia for hanged man, and the fact that Hanged Man pathway beyonders was consisted of pretty man and women 😂)

°All the Red Priest's beyonders we have met are either weak, injured, dumb, or a mix of the two. We also didn't know their (at least the talented ones in this pathway) thought process in confrontation, what they see in their eyes. 3. But the book title is "Circle of Inevitability" !
It's quite obvious that the book plot will lead to Lumian having 2 kind of powers, the "common" Pathway, in this case Red Priest, and the outer god pathway, which will probaly be some sort of "blessing". And I honestly don't think Lumian will main that outer gods sequence. Asides from idk, morality? These outer gods sequences seems dependant on the god themself. After all we got them from praying. Like in what the newest chapter said, it's up to the gods whether to give you or take them, in other words, we don't have any initiation on it. Will a protagonist have such restricting power? Yeah right. Also, book title = MC will be that god is a very shacky thing to base on.More evidences on why I think my speculations was the most probable
** - Cuttlefish want's to write the worldbuilding: geography, politics, etc that he couldn't have in book 1. I ain’t a Boruto reader but it is impossible to not get bombarded by what is going on in the newest chapters.
With the ridiculous new abilities spouting out from every corner I question how the future person with meta knowledge will think. Be it a SI, OC or time travel character.
Before Boruto started every one had one goal: To either stop Black Zetsu from freeing Kaguya or take the power to stop her.
Now those who were reborn will go mental when thinking about Ishiki and Kawaki with all the bullshit overpowered abilities being produced left and right.
The options I can see is that
1: You just don’t acknowledge the existence of Boruto and either classify Kaguya as a god without any relatives and leave it be.
2: Your story starts during second or third shinobi war or even before so your Mc doesn’t live until that time. Either combine it with #1 or tells the future to others so it’s not their problem.
3: You fight fire with fire. Your Mc gains that infamous golden finger. Be it some ridiculous cheat, gamer powers or some overpowered CYOA powers that makes you god with the additional harem sub rating.
What to you guys think?

Campaign: We have recently done a soft reboot of the champaign with only one of the original characters remaining. The campaign continues in Numeria as the group sets up a base of operations around a ley line hub and a mysterious techno-arcane artifact. The champaign is a sandbox. It is premarely about realising your godlike potential, deciding whether you want to embody the fallen deity or become your own God and seeing how your ascension will affect the world around you.
Party: Current party consists of an unchained monk/mystic, ranged-focused Occultist and a pheonix bloodline sorcerer.
Cost: $15/player per session via PayPal.
Player slots: 1 of 4.
System: Pathfinder 1e. We use Path of War and a number of houserules. You will start at 11th level with 3 mythic tiers.
Schedule: Weekly Sundays, 6:30 pm GMT/2:30 pm EST, 4 hour sessions.
GM: I have 10 years of TTRPG experience as a GM. I prefer sandbox campaigns that focus on roleplaying, acting, and character development. The fat man was a good guy. He was respectful to his wife, loved his children and honored his father. Santa Monica, we want some Thor DLC to explore his story further! |

Sure, he holds things back, but it seems highly unlikely and out of character for him to outright lie to Atreus about it. I think about the series so far and everything that has happened, and I think Kratos is telling the truth. He was born a god, but he didn't realize it until after he left Greece. First of all, Gaia is the narrator, you shouldn't take everything she says at face value, she had her own agenda and it was in her best interest to lie, especially to Kratos. Kratos was born a god but no one, except Gaia and Athena, knew it at first. Gaia found out through her observation skills, and Athena found out later, around the time she and Ares were sent to find Deimos, Ares found out while Kratos was serving in the Spartan army. From what happened with Atreus, we know that rejection or ignorance of divinity can manifest itself in physical ailments and even death. Kratos' apparent mortality is thus the result of ignorance of his true nature, his divine power only manifesting itself when he is enraged. This is why the gods who use him work so hard to make him reject his humanity. Ares achieved this by getting Kratos to murder his family. Athena tried to convince him to get rid of his past completely. In Ghost of Sparta, we see Athena supposedly making Kratos a god, her hands shining and putting them on his head. I say "supposedly" because Kratos slaps her hands and walks away, the show she was putting on is not over, but Kratos has become the God of War. The Titans and the gods lied to Kratos, making him believe that he was a mortal raised by them, so that they could manipulate and control him. The borrowed powers (Poseidon's rage, Zeus' lightning, etc.) are the only powers lost by the Olympian blade, his own powers always remained. Gaia did not heal Kratos when Zeus stabbed him, she did not have the power. Kratos healed himself, Gaia just provoked him to be angry enough to activate her power. This healing is the only power other than his physical abilities that we see him using without an artifact. If Kratos looks older and weaker, it is because he still rejects his divine nature, not because of age. When he was constantly angry and seeking revenge, his power flowed freely. Once the revenge was over, he stopped embracing his divinity, because he always believed that in order to be a god, you had to reject your humanity. This is what everyone in his life has taught him, and what he himself observes in the gods. I think one of the reasons he was so shaken by this final sanctuary is that it was seriously the first time he had considered being a god and embracing his humanity at the same time. He has his own powers and abilities that we haven't seen him use, simply because it never occurred to him to try to use his OWN powers, instead of trying to call upon the powers of the gods and titans as he did before. Look at Atreus and the gods in the Nordic countries. Atreus is far more powerful than some of the gods encountered there, strength and durability, healing, shape-shifting, talking to animals, and who knows what else. These are Olympian powers, passed on by Kratos. Kratos is and always has been a god, limited by his own beliefs, caused by manipulation and a lack of understanding. |

Currently all ruling class of big civilizations knows the threat of Chaos and is in state of war with them. With Great Rift Chaos changed the galaxy forever. They are possibly the greatest threat to the galaxy at the moment.
But that wasn't the case before birth of Slaanesh.
Chaos existed sure but they were not the big player. Many people in this forum attribute that to power of Eldar Gods who were suppressing the Chaos. It makes sense of course.
But the thing is Slaanesh had been gestating for a long time. Eldar had fallen to the depravity for many centuries if not millennias. They had stopped worshiping their Gods long before Slaanesh was born. So Eldar Gods must have been severely weakened in say Age of Strife. So there was nobody really suppressing them unless Emperor was upto something that we don't know.
So my theory goes like this:
Each Chaos God is born with some tragedy. Slaanesh was born out of fall of Eldar race. Slaanesh however was born a major Chaos God. He was not some minor entity that became big. He was big boy from the very start. I think that is because Eldar souls were just that nourishing. Eldar was extremely big and powerful psychic race after all.
I believe other Chaos Gods on the hand were born out of fall of some comparatively smaller civilizations. They were minor chaos Gods. Not to the level of behemoths they are currently. There are many minor chaos gods born and die in warp everyday. These three just had bit of advantage over others so they survived but they were not too strong initially.
So they hid in the background and started the game great that slowly increased their power. More people they manage to corrupt, more influence they get and thus stronger they become.
I think by the time of Age of Strife, they had become strong enough to affect the galaxy but not strong enough to directly take it head on as they currently do now. I think they knew Slaanesh was going to be born soon. His gestation caused lot of warp storms which of course helped those 3 in spreading their influence and thus getting stronger. I believe the reason they never tried to stop birth of Slaanesh is because they knew it was advantageous to them. They must have sensed that his birth will open Eye of Terror which is the biggest direct source of warp in the galaxy. It directly injects warp in real world. That allowed Chaos Gods to gain power like they never could before.
so tl:dr : 1) Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle started as minor Gods unlike Slaanesh who started as big Chaos God from the birth itself. This explains why they weren't actively attacking big civilizations before like they currently do. 2) They become moderately stronger due to misery of Age of Strife that Slaanesh's gestation caused. 3) They never tried to preemptively strike at sleeping Slaanesh because his birth was more profitable to them as it opened Eye of Terror thus answering the question why Chaos God freely allowed competition to be born when it is not in their nature as they hate each other so much.

For decades, the kingdoms of Narvalesh and Gwyndeth have been at odds, using proxies in their wars to wipe one another out. Narvalesh worships Law, and the men of Gwyndet praise the gods of Chaos, leading to many holy wars, which eventually crippled both nations. For now.
The margravate of Bronzestone has recently had an idea to break the stalemate over the borderlands known as the Dagger Vale. Employing adventurers to advance the cause of the kingdom and finally beat back the kingdom of Gwyndeth. However, earl Glandyth of Kraev, a cruel champion of Chaos, has also had the same idea... Two adventuring parties, two nations, one goal: Victory.
Players Wanted: 2 for the Law Party (18+ and must know the basics of 5th edition D&D, 6 spots filled already, lost some players due to conflicting styles)
Time & Day: 9 pm GMT+3 (1 pm CST), Wednesdays (alternating biweekly between groups)
Theme; Exploration & wilderness adventuring, dungeon crawling, intrigue, sword & sorcery

Platforms: Discord and Roll20
The players are divided into two groups, and each group plays biweekly, alternating between the group playing for Bronzestone and the group playing for Kraev. Note that this is NOT A WEST MARCHES game, this is very much a story driven sandbox game, and in no way functions like a West Marches.
There is some saucy content (NSFW) possibilities, but any raunchy stuff is to be faded to black or performed in the dedicated NSFW channels. This is purely optional, by the way, I just wanna make that clear.
The house rules and homebrew is available on the Discord server, where you shall be invited upon approval. For the time being, here are the most immediate rules:

- No Artificers or anything uber magical, like soul knives, this is a sword and sorcery campaign, I want to maintain integrity. Additionally no arcane archers, rune knights, psi warriors, soul knives, gloomstalkers, nothing like that
- No unlisted races (unless you make a reeeeaaaally convincing case)
- No guns, or gunpowder, or wacky inventions
