I’ll start off by saying my long time girlfriend is a Spanish citizen. I’ve visited her a few times, and she’s came to see me.
For a long time, since I’m older, we assumed we’d make a life in America due to my career being more developed. However, I live in the “Bible Belt” or the Midwest, and it’s becoming harder and harder as a queer woman to live here everyday. Not to mention all the trans laws being passed.
I have a BA in business and work in IT sales, but know that’s going to be nearly impossible for me to use abroad. So, I recently started taking a course on coding (LaunchCode) for Web Dev. Essentially, I’ll learn front and back end development .
The program has an apprenticeship here in the USA, but I’m curious to know if this will really help me make the move to the EU. My goal is to finish this course by March 2024, and be out of here before the next elections…
I know her and I could marry, or get the partner visa, but my real goal is to be marketable and employable.

This is in Florida. I’m buying a used car from private party and I need to go to the bank to pay off their loan. But it takes a few business days to get the title and it’s a 1.75 hr drive to where they live. so I’m trying to use POA (power of attorney) to let me sign for her to transfer the title at a dmv in my hometown.
I don’t think they can get the title ahead of time because I haven’t looked at the car yet/agreed to buy it (even though I probably will)
My question is, will power of attorney work in this case e.g. her giving me power of attorney to later on sign for her to transfer the title over to me at the dmv?
If not, she offered to drive the title over to me later, which I assume would be alright as long as I have the bill of sale and her info…I’d assume she can’t just take the title and take my money (in theory)?

A couple of months ago I was looking for a new job, so I applied for a bunch of different things on indeed that seemed like a good option. I also had sales experience from my previous job, so a couple of jobs I applied to were sales related. I get called back from this company which was basically a marketing agency, and the woman on the phone sets up an interview time for me.
Fast forward to my interview, it was located in this nice office space downtown, and the inside had a really nice industrial feel to it, and very businesslike. There was a table there with 5-6 associates who had already been hired and we’re waiting for their orientation. I got the chance to meet them while I was waiting for my interview, and got to know a bit about their background and what they were like. Everybody was new to sales, but they all seemed so excited to be there in this office in their business-casual outfits. I kind of felt bad for them afterwards.
Anyways I go in the office for my interview, and the lady probably asked me like 1 question, then went on this big spiel about how much you can earn at the company, how easy it is to move up, and how they train you for management and lead your own team. She even told me that we could win an incentive trip down south and acted like it was a big deal. In my head I was thinking like okay this is a presentation for an MLM because it was really ticking all the boxes, and the product I was selling wasn’t really clear tbh. They would just keep saying we work with big brand retailers to sell their product. Once she mentioned that there would be door2door sales trying to sell Rogers packages I knew I wasn’t taking this job anyways. But of course she did offer me the job later that day, so I asked if she would sent me the contract for me to review it and she said she would send the acceptance letter, kinda dodgy, but I never heard from that company again.
Fast forward a couple months, and my boyfriend is also looking for a job. He had an interview with a marketing agency, that listed their salary on indeed from $40,000 - $70,000/year. When he went in the interview he said that the guy basically gave him a presentation and he just listened nodding his head because the interviewer didn’t ask him any questions about himself. It was door2door sales and he was really trying to hype that up, and said that some people make $1000/per day selling $200 packages. He also kept using language like “if you’re new to sales” which my bf explicitly said he isn’t. There was also a big emphasis on the fact that you can move up in the company really fast.
Also, both jobs were 100% commission based. The only difference with my company was that they start you off on an hourly rate until you’re making more money in commission. Then no more hourly rate.

So,
My brother is in a situation where he worked for a company. On the phone he was told he'd be employed
When he got there, they said it was self employed
He was required to work the hours they set, and had no option to set his own hours. He also wasn't paid for any of those hours due to making no sales, because they see it as "self employed" even though he was at the mercy of that company
I intend to go to small claims, for stolen wages regardless but I was wondering if there's anything else we can do?
Would it also matter if he's mentally and physically disabled? Ie: surely it's a lot more damning if a company is exploiting someone like that? I'd love to know what options are available, given they provided zero wages and then they accused him of stealing a shirt that he handed inu
They gave him no contract, and no terms. The only proof he has that he's worked there is the email saying that they're going to the police for this non existent shirt that he already handed in. It apparently belonged to a client but he wasn't exactly free to choose what that client is.
He did quit within the first week fwiw. He was made to go through their training, and he was made to then go on a door to door sales. Surely a self employed person wouldn't require training?

I've heard the single player part is a joke so the main reason I'd wanna get this is cause it sounds fun to make a short 5'7 dude fast af with steals and 3 shooting with the builder without having to use the dumbass pie charts like in 22 (first one I got and I wish I wouldn't have) and play online. Is that 1. Possible to get vc in online games like how 22 was? And 2. Even worth really getting? Or should I just wait to see if 24 or the next ones are any good?

Many online retailers allow you to gain a refund by submitting proof the faulty merchandise was destroyed -- lots of eBay merchants, for example, will allow you to slash up an item you are dissatisfied with and send a picture, usually if the cost of return shipping, the potential for a negative rating, or the value of the item (especially if broken) is worth less than their next sale.
Why doesn't Walmart let you go "these shoes are janky, the heel fell off" and let you get a refund by providing proof? It could be done with a smaller team than the cashiers dedicated to the service desk, and the hassle would discount their costs with returned items by making the return process slightly more difficult, with no method of traumatizing the workers by screaming in their faces because you're a little bitch boy with a broken toy. It totally eliminates their disposal cost and pushes them closer to zero waste on paper. Additionally, they could ensure no items are refunded without a valid purchase, which is already on camera for manual review. It eliminates employee collusion with refund theft, and prevents out-of-policy returns altogether.

I'm looking for good sources for both materials and information and opinions for my project, especially things that will save me from the larger errors.
The basic system idea is solar with enough batteries to smooth things out for daytime use, with fail over back to mains when voltage/output drops, and then a final failover to generator when the hurricane hits. Not sure how to integrate solar and generator during longer term power outages. I am not going off grid and don't mind that solar drops back to mains later in the day.
I can yard mount or roof mount the panels, although roof mount is potentially risky in a hurricane, and risky relative to the insurance company. Yard mount is risky if something hits the panels. I looked into some hurricane results, and the array in Puerto Rico survived because it was flat mounted on a flat roof - a different scenario.
I want to do this right, and I'm not trying to do it on a dollar and a prayer, although I do want to control the costs where reasonable, and to get whatever tax advantages are available.
