I’m 16 weeks pregnant, but because I didn’t have health insurance, no one in my city would see me until I had insurance. So I finally was able to get insurance and called all the local obgyns back to schedule an appt and was told that because I was past 12 weeks, no one would take me as a patient. One woman even flat out said “I hate to tell you, but if we won’t take you, no one else around here is going to either. I’m sorry. 🤷🏻‍♀️”

Okay I’m looking for recs for something kind of specific that I can find on Kindle Unlimited: Small town, with a grumpy, broody and overprotective MMC who basically worships the FMC and is fully in love with her. Where he kind of forces his way into his life by insisting they go out and that he protects her but he still insists on being gentlemanly (opening doors, taking her on dates, etc.) and he wants to give her the world but won’t take shit from her when it comes to keeping her safe. And ideally there is some kind of danger that exists, it’s not just him being OTT. Oh and also he’s super filthy and obsessed with fucking her.
I recently read Recipe for Love by Ann Malcom which inspired this - though I KNOW I’ve read this exact kind of thing before, I just can’t really remember any specific titles. In that one the FMC is sunshine and kind of lets herself be swept away by the MMC, but that’s not necessarily a requirement. If you are into the video game scene, you'll likely have been inundated recently with people talking about latest game in the long-running Legend of Zelda franchise, Tears of the Kingdom, which came out earlier this month. It has become a commercial and critical hit, so much so that it is their fastest selling game ever. The Zelda series is over 35 years old now, with the most recent Switch titles being its most successful entries. Because of this, there are many players who are only vaguely aware of what came before. How do all the other titles fit together? What is the canonical history of the kingdom of Hyrule? Why are there all these nerds who grumble to themselves about "timelines" and "Historia"? Let's go back and walk through the games as they released, looking at how each entry adds new lore to the series and what it does, or doesn't do, to place itself amongst the history of its peers. I do spoil some of the endings and events for the older games, and I do mention some plot points that in Tears of the Kingdom. Everything I mention there happens within the first few hours, and I try to give warning that it's coming, but if you want to know nothing about the game at all, you've been warned.
As you'll soon see, the timeline of the games is anything but cut and dry. I'm going to try and discuss some of the issues of putting them in a neat order, but there have been lots of theories over the years that get into the minutia of different things. For those curious, this is a good list of some of the now defunct ideas. I would also like to apologize ahead of time for the large amount of abbreviations used in this article.

8-bit Wonder

In the beginning, things were pretty straight-forward. The first few games in the series were released in a time before elaborate plotlines were typical or even possible.
In 1986, Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda (LoZ) for the NES. You play as Link, a vaguely elf-like collection of pixels as he travels the land of Hyrule to save its princess, Zelda, from the evil pig-like creature known as Ganon (or in this game, "Gannon"). With limited dialogue available, most of the plot is given to the player via the included instruction manual and through a paragraph that displays if you wait on the title screen for long enough. The dynamic between these three characters will form the foundation for plots being used to this day. The game also introduces other series namestays, such as Death Mountain, some of the recurring bosses, and most notably, the concept of the Triforce, two triangle-shaped magical relics sought after by the characters. Only the Triforce of Power and Wisdom are described in this game, and Wisdom has been broken into several pieces for the player to reassemble. The game was a success and our series has a solid foundation to proceed.
In 1987, Nintendo released a sequel, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (AoL) also for the NES. This title is a direct sequel to the first game, picking up with Link as he again travels Hyrule to awaken the comatose Princess Zelda. Except... it's not the same Zelda as the first game. This is apparently the very first Zelda, who was put into a magical slumber in an age long past, and has been stored in a back room until someone will come around and wake her up. This game introduces the third piece of the Triforce, that of Courage, and features actual townspeople you can talk to as you try and stop Ganon's followers from reviving him. While the addition of a second Zelda is a bit odd, these two games fit together well enough, although if you were hoping that long lost Zelda would be mentioned later on, you might not want to hold your breath.
In 1991, A Link to the Past (ALttP) was released for the Super Nintendo. With greater processing power came greater graphical fidelity (quote Uncle Ben, year unknown), and with it a greater possibility for story telling. Link, now equipped with pink hair, must rescue the seven Maidens, descendants of a group of sages who sealed Ganon away in an "Imprisoning War" to an alternate Sacred Realm to stop him from obtaining the Triforce. Princess Zelda is one of these maidens, and Link must travel back and forth between the normal Light World and Ganon's now corrupted Dark World to stop him. More long-running elements are introduced, most notably Link's Master Sword, a magically empowered blade that has the power to defeat evil. You may notice that this game presents a number of contradictions to the NES games. For one, this game seems to completely contradict the events of the first game with Link, Zelda, and Ganon having completely different backstories. This game sets the precedent that there are multiple Ganons, Links, and Zeldas throughout history, with the latter two rising up to stop Ganon whenever the need arises. The Link we played as in the NES games is not the Link in ALttP, and in fact this game is set far before that game, with Ganon being defeated by the end of the game and the Triforce still unbroken and together. Fine, okay, that's potentially a bit confusing, but with only three games, it's not too much to keep track of.
Not wanting to be left out, the Game Boy got its own Zelda game in 1993, Link's Awakening (LA), which was re-released in color in 1998 and fully remade for the Switch in 2019. This game is the first to not take place in Hyrule, instead Link is traveling by ship and is caught in a storm, waking up on Koholint Island. Given that it doesn't take place in Hyrule, some of the typical elements are missing. The Triforce does not appear, Zelda is only briefly alluded to, and Ganon only appears as a form taken by the final boss. This does imply that this Link is familiar with Ganon, and while the game itself is vague on which Link this is, it's generally assumed that this is the same Link from ALttP, travelling after saving Hyrule. For the sake of brevity, we'll skip the discussions about this title, as there's much more to get to.
For those keeping track, the chronology of the games, as far as we understand it, looks like the following, with the left hand side being the earliest entry.

ALttP/LA - LoZ/AoL 

Things start getting complicated.

While the first four games follow each other well enough, the intra-game connections aren't super important, and so far not too hard to follow. This will begin to change with 1998's Ocarina of Time (OoT) for the Nintendo 64. OoT does a lot to further the lore of the series, giving a backstory to the Triforce, establishing Ganon's human form as Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo people, who are also established in this game. Familiar Hyrule races such as the Gorons, Kokiri, and Zora (this type, not the enemies from ALttP). The Triforce returns, but each of the three pieces is given to a different character; Courage to Link, Wisdom to Zelda, and Power to Ganondorf. This game also seems to represent the Imprisoning War described in ALttP with Ganon being sealed by Zelda and six sages into the Sacred Realm, to end his reign of terror. There are some differences however. The sages are a diverse collection of characters, not a group of bearded old white guys as previously depicted, and Ganon is sealed away as Ganondorf and not as his pig-like form. These are minor discrepancies however, and for the most part OoT seems to set itself as the earliest yet game in the series (the towns in Zelda II also share their names with the sages, a cute homage that in-universe reinforces the idea that they were named after famous heroes).
There are two features of Ocarina of Time that makes its entry into the series more complex than the games that came before. Firstly, the game features time travel, which naturally introduces another layer of complexity. You play as Link as a child at the start of the game, but at roughly 1/3rd the way through the game, Link is placed into magical stasis for seven years, awakening as an adult into a ruined future. While you can return to the child period in the game, the main plot has Link attempting to defeat the evil powers in the future. It begs the question to what is the actual canon ending to the game. You defeat Ganondorf in the future and seal him away, with the end credits showing the characters you've met celebrating his defeat. However, the adult Princess Zelda sends Link back to the past to "relive his childhood", with the final shot showing the child Link and Zelda. It's left ambiguous which time period continues forward, or if child Link was able to avert the future after all. The other important thing to know about OoT is that it was incredibly popular. The game was the best selling Zelda game for nearly two decades after its release, and is often cited as one of, if not the best game ever made. This popularity will lead Nintendo to incorporate more direct references and allusions to this game in future entries, which I'm sure won't complicate things for us.
The year 2000 gave us the direct sequel to OoT, Majora's Mask (MM), also for the N64. The "Child Timeline" as it is now called is confirmed to continue, with the entirety of the game focusing on the child form of Link as he travels to the parallel world of Termina. Like Link's Awakening before it, MM doesn't impact the timeline too heavily due to being set in Termina, but it does confirm that Link remained as a child rather than return to his slumber following OoT. It might be fair to assume that Link did something about Ganondorf before leaving for Termina, but that isn't explicitly shown.
In 2001, a pair of games were released for the Game Boy Color, Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages (OoS and OoA respectively, sometimes collectively called OoX). These games are notable for being developed by Capcom, not Nintendo, and they form a pair; when you finish one of the games you receive a password that transfers some of your items to the other game. Upon finishing both, a special epilogue is unlocked completing the story. Both of these games take place outside of Hyrule, with Seasons taking place in the land of Holodrum and Ages in Labrynna. The evil forces in these games are vaguely working together to revive Ganon, who is stated to have been defeated by Link previously. The developers decided that was enough backstory and thus didn't bother to specify which Link this actually was. The game is very similar to Link's Awakening in gameplay and style, but the events are also vague enough to be placed after the original game, Majora's Mask, some previously unseen Link, or maybe completely non-canon entirely given the involvement of Capcom. It's now generally accepted that this is the same Link as ALttP, with the events of Link's Awakening following these games, but for many years their placement in the timeline was up in the air.
Accepting the Oracle games as following ALttP, our timeline up to this point looks like this:

OoT/MM - ALttP/OoX/LA - LoZ/AoL 

We now enter the Very Messy Time.

We are now eight games and 15 years into the series, and while things haven't been super clear up until now, it arguably hasn't really mattered. The games don't really reference each other, and some haven't had much of a plot at all. With ever increasing technological advances, however, this is likely to change, and no game throws a bigger wrench into the whole chronology business like The Wind Waker (WW). Released in 2002 for the GameCube, Wind Waker takes place on the Great Ocean, a large body of water with some sparse islands occupying the landscape. It's revealed throughout the game that this is Hyrule, which was flooded by the Goddesses at the request of its King to stop the freed Ganondorf, since no Link was around to stop him. The islands seen in the game are the tallest peaks of the kingdom beneath. This poses quite a dilemma as, I'm not sure if you've noticed, Hyrule is typically not under miles of water, and continues to be this way at the end of the game. The game makes explicit references to Ocarina, such as the sages being depicted in stained glass windows and Link being told his green tunic represents the clothing a previous hero wore. Even more confusingly is that this is stated to be the same Ganondorf from OoT, not a reincarnation, freed from his prison. Given that ALttP also featured the freeing of the imprisoned Ganon from OoT, this game seems to completely fly in the face of the games that came before it, and if Nintendo had an answer, they were being tight lipped about it. Much of the debate regarding the "timelines" begins here, as the advent of the internet lead to lots of online debate about how WW fits into the overall story of Hyrule. Nintendo seemed to finally be more focused on referencing the events of previous games, but managed to only confuse the matter even further. We'll get to some of the theories in a moment.
The next three Zelda games would be once again developed by Capcom, following their relative success with the Oracle games. The first would be a port of ALttP to the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo wanted to market the wired intra-connectively of the GBA, and so a special multiplayer-only campaign was added to this release, titled Four Swords (FS). This game features a new villain, the wind mage Vaati, who is defeated by Link with the help of the newly established Four Sword, a magical sword which gives Link the ability to split himself into up to four copies. This sword exists mainly as an excuse to have several Links available for this multiplayer game, and the game itself gives very little context as to where it might fit into the timeline, if at all. Note, if you want to play this game for yourself, Nintendo hasn't made it easy for you. A special single player version, titled Four Swords: Anniversary was available for free for six months in 2011-2012 for the DSi and 3DS, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series, and also to try and help flagging sales of both systems. It was then removed for download until 2014, where it was again made available for four whole days before again being delisted. The game has never been made officially available by Nintendo since then.
In 2004 a follow up to Four Swords was released for the GameCube, titled Four Sword Adventures (FSA). Again developed by Capcom, and again an excuse to show off the connectivity features of the GameCube and GBA, with Vaati escaping her imprisonment, requiring Link to take up the Four Sword again. Given the similarity between the games, it is assumed that FSA is a direct sequel to FS, featuring the same Link and Zelda. Ganondorf is also revealed to be behind Vaati's actions, but this one is pretty clearly a new reincarnation than before. The game's overworld also has similarities to that of ALttP, implying that the titles take place close together. Ganon is sealed away at the end of the game, into the Four Sword rather than the Sacred Realm, but some theorized that this could be the same Ganon as ALttP with a slightly altered backstory to accommodate for WW, and the two games were often placed either preceding ALttP or left out of the timeline altogether.
The final Capcom developed game would be 2004's The Minish Cap (MC) for the GBA. The game establishes the origins of Vaati and sets itself as the first game in the Four Sword trilogy. The game also establishes the origins of the Four Sword, created throughout the game from the Picori Blade, a legendary sword used by, you guessed it, a hero from an age long past. We'll put that aside for now, as while MC establishes itself as occurring far before FA, it's unclear how far in the past it is. I mentioned that Nintendo often referenced OoT in later games, and this game is no exception. Several townsfolk have the same name and appearance as NPCs in Ocarina and Majora's Mask despite being clearly separate characters. This is never explained and you either need to attribute it to the reincarnation effect prevalent in the series, or just to Capcom/Nintendo wanting to have familiar faces in their game.
While Capcom was busy adding their own confusing take on the timeline, Nintendo was hard at work doing the same thing. In 2006, Twilight Princess (TP) was released for the GameCube and Wii, featuring a very much not underwater Hyrule. The Hyrule here seems to resemble that of Ocarina, but with some of the landmarks slightly shifted (there's a whole line of reasoning trying to identify the games' orders based on the actual landmarks of Hyrule, but it's even hard to resolve than the plots). Link and Zelda are new characters, but Ganondorf is implied to be the same from Ocarina, again. Through flashbacks we see Ganondorf on trial for unspecified crimes, but after he receives the Triforce of Power through vague means, he attempts to escape captivity before being sealed in the Twilight Realm, another new parallel world to Hyrule which seems distinct to the Sacred Realm. He eventually escapes and is defeated by Link, Zelda, and new character Midna, the titular Twilight Princess. Given that this game also makes some direct references to OoT, this seems to directly contradict WW, but all might not be lost. It was left vague as to which timeline was the canon ending to OoT, and the combination of WW and TP lead to the fan theory that both are actually canon and the timeline splits following Ocarina. In the "Adult Timeline", where Link and Zelda seal Ganondorf away, he eventually escapes and Hyrule is flooded to stop him, eventually leading to his defeat in WW. In the other "Child Timeline", Link returns as a child with the knowledge of the future and manages to have Ganondorf arrested, where he is sealed into the Twilight Realm following an attempted escape. TP continues from here, and given Hyrule's much less wet state, most of the other games do as well. This raises the question about where those games fit in, but we'll get to that in a second.
Let me mention two more games before we look at the bigger picture. Two sequels to Wind Waker were released on the DS in 2007 and 2009, Phantom Hourglass (PH) and Spirit Tracks (ST). PH is a direct sequel to WW featuring the same Link as he fights the new villain Bellum, while ST takes places roughly 100 years after WW on New Hyrule, founded by the Princess Zelda of that time (any actual lineage between the two generations is annoyingly vague). It does feature a new Link and Zelda, but it's pretty explicitly a direct sequel to WW and ST and isn't too hard to resolve into the timeline.
Alright, let's go over what we have now, and try and put everything together. The facts we have are:

• AoL is a direct sequel to LoZ. There is a new Link/Ganon/Zelda and the Triforce is not only separated but broken. Ganon ends the game dead, and there's another Zelda lying around, don't worry about it.
• OoS, OoA, and LA are (to some debate) sequels to ALttP. There is a new Link and Zelda, but Ganon begins the game sealed in the Dark World, and ends the game dead. The Triforce is completely intact.
• MM is a direct sequel to OoT. There is a new Link/Zelda/Ganondorf and the game likely splits into two parallel timelines, one where Ganon is sealed in the Sacred Realm (Adult Timeline) and one where Link returns and lives as a child (leading into MM). In the Adult Timeline, the Triforce is split into its three components, in the Child Timeline it is assumed to be intact, as it is at the start of the game.
• PH and ST are sequels to WW. There is a new Link and Zelda, but a previous Ganondorf, directly stated to be the one from OoT. He was unsealed at some point in the past and ends the game dead/turned into a statue. The Triforce is completely intact, but Hyrule is under an ocean.
• MC, FS, and FSA are indirect sequels consistent with each other. There is at least two new Links/Zeldas (MC is definitely distinct from the other) and a new Ganondorf. He ends the game sealed in the Four Sword, the state of the Triforce is unknown.
• TP has no direct sequels. There is a new Link and Zelda, but Ganondorf begins the game sealed in the Twilight Realm and ends the game dead. The Triforce is split into its three components.

There were multiple theories at this time, with some arguing the 2D games were their own continuity separate from the 3D games, or that there were even more timelines than just two after Ocarina, but one of the more previlent timeline orderings (and the one I favored) went as follows:
OoT is the first game in the series, and following its events, the timeline splits in two, the Adult Timeline following the world ruined by seven years of Ganon's rule, the other Child Timeline where his reign was avoided.

Adult Timeline: MC? - OoT - TP - MC? - FS/FSA - ALttP/OoX/LA - LoZ/AoL Child Timeline: MC? - OoT/MM - WW/PH/ST 

The placement of The Minish Cap is unknown. We know it takes place prior to Four Swords, but whether it was before or after the timeline split isn't clear. The Ganon in ALttP, who was originally meant to be the one in OoT is now a completely different Ganon, who may or may not be the one in FSA. For this reason, and many others, this remained one of the most popular ordering, but still heavily in debate.

Finally, some answers

The year is 2011 and Nintendo is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Zelda series. The main attraction is the release of Skyward Sword (SS) for the Wii, which will usher in a brief but earnest period of actually caring about the timeline. SS explicitly sets itself as the first game in the entire timeline, depicting the creation of the Master Sword and the cause for the perpetual reincarnation of Link, Zelda, and Ganon. The game takes place not on Hyrule, but on a series of floating islands above it called Skyloft. Skyloft was lifted into the sky by the newly established Goddess Hylia, to protect it and the Triforce from the forces of evil below, and sealed away their leader, Demise. Hylia herself decided to become the mortal Zelda. This new Link is forced to take up the Goddess Sword (which becomes the Master Sword) to save Zelda and defeat the freed Demise who, upon his defeat, decrees that he shall be reborn time and again to defeat the reincarnations of the hero and the Hylia and take over the world. It is the soul of Demise that is reborn as Ganon and has continued to plague Hyrule from then on. Like this concept or not, the game pretty explicitly places itself as the foundation of the series, and as the earliest entry in the timeline.
In addition to releasing Skyward Sword, Nintendo released a companion book called Hyrule Historia. Historia is mainly an artbook featuring concept art and documents from the 25 year history of the series. However, its main attraction for many people was the inclusion of an official, definitive ordering of the games from Nintendo themselves. So, how we do? Does our timeline(s) agree with Nintendo themselves? Well, while the general order was correct, Nintendo threw a curveball into everything by announcing that following Ocarina of Time the timeline split into three parts, not two. One following the Adult ruined world, one following the Child un-impacted world, and another... where Link died. That's right, despite not being seen, a canonical ending to OoT is that Link died trying to defeat Ganondorf in the future and he was able obtain the combined Triforce. Nintendo explains that despite this, the sages were able to seal him away in the Sacred Realm anyway, but with the completed Triforce. For intents and purposes this is rather similar to the Adult timeline, but allows for the distinction between Ganondorf needing the Triforce in WW and having it in ALttP; not to mention that they both need to co-exist. Fans argued that a timeline based on the bad ending didn't seem terribly canonical, and also opened up a can of worms for every other game having its own canon Bad End. Other more minor discrepancies from our theory are present, most notably that Four Swords Adventure is not a direct sequel to Four Swords but instead takes place long after, following TP. MC and FS are instead placed before OoT in the unified timeline. Personally this is the one I have the most trouble with as there is nothing really linking FSA to that timeline at all. In any case, here is the timeline as presented:

 (Child Timeline) - MM - TP - FSA / SS - MC - FS - OoT - (Adult Timeline) - WW - PH - ST \ (Fallen Timeline) - ALttP - OoS/OoA - LA - LoZ - AoL 

There you have it, Nintendo's official explanation for how three games can each be a follow-up to Ocarina of Time. The Fallen Timeline inclusion lead to many a nerd grumbling on the internet, but this is the official order of events from Nintendo themselves, and they seem pretty dedicated to the idea of keeping the timeline neat going forward.
... Or do they. In 2013 A Link Between Worlds (ALBW) was released for the 3DS. The game was designed as an indirect sequel to ALttP with the overworld heavily inspired by that game. Despite the similarity, this is said to be a new Link and Zelda as they stop the evil Yuga from another parallel version of Hyrule, Lorule (how clever). Their eventual goal is to, you guessed it, free an imprisoned Ganon. This begs all sorts of questions. If this is a follow-up to ALttP, why is there an imprisoned Ganon? Why is the Triforce split again? The explanation is that another Ganon was born between ALttP and ALBW and sealed away with the Triforce of Power, eventually leading to the events of this game. Even more confusingly, Nintendo released the Legend of Zelda: Encyclopedia in 2017 where they placed ALBW into the timeline. It fittingly goes between ALttP and LoZ, but at the same time decides that the Oracle games no longer feature ALttP's Link, but the one from ALBW. This could be taken with a grain of salt though, as the book has some errors, and in other places even says it's the same Link as ALttP, directly contradicting itself. I'm personally prefer to ignore it.
Nintendo also released Tri Force Heroes in 2015 for the 3DS. It's in the same style as ALBW and probably a direct sequel, but it's really goofy and there's barely a plot.

Back to the Future

This finally brings us to the present day. In 2017, Breath of the Wild (BotW) was released for the Wii U and Switch. Despite spending a lot of effort cleaning up the timeline in their last 3D game, this title goes out of its way to completely ignore the question altogether. When asked about its placement, the canonical reply is that it takes place far in the future from the other games, in some vague era where the timelines either have converged or it's far enough to not really matter. In any case, don't worry about it. 10,000 years prior to the events of the game (ugh), great machines were built to assist with the defeat of Calamity Ganon. With the help of the Link and Zelda of their time, they succeed, with the Divine Beasts being left to decay over the millennia. 100 years prior to the game, it was predicted Calamity Ganon would return, so a new Zelda and Link (the ones in the game) begin to prepare for that day. When it eventually does arrive, it goes very poorly, with Link being placed into a century-long stasis to recover from his wounds and Zelda alone holding the seal containing Ganon. Link eventually wakes up just in time for the game to begin, and you defeat the Calamity. The inclusion of the Calamity being at least 10,000 years old puts this game insanely far into the future, and throws the whole timeline a bit out of wack. There are some other oddities too, such as the Temple of Time as it appears in OoT being present, and the Rito being established in WW as the successor race to the Zora, yet both co-exist here.
I'll spend a little bit of time talking about the newest game, Tears of the Kingdom. I won't discuss anything you won't see in the first few hours, but if you want to be completely spared from spoilers, skip the next paragraph.
2023 saw Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) for Switch, a direct follow-up to BotW. At the start of the game, Zelda and Link discover the still-alive mummified body of Ganondorf, sealed away in an era long past and the cause of the Calamity. He is freed and Zelda is inadvertently sent back in time to meet with the very first king of Hyrule, which would place her between Skyward Sword and Minish Cap. Through flashbacks you see their attempts to stop Ganondorf before eventually just sealing him away. This would imply that there has been a sealed Ganondorf throughout most of Hyrule's history, even during periods where other Ganondorfs reigned. I won't say too much else for fear of spoilers, but I assume Link is able to defeat this Ganondorf once and for all (I actually don't know, I haven't finished the game yet).

Conclusion

To sum up, the Zelda series has gone through periods of relative attentiveness to the connections between games to directly ignoring they exist. While all this timeline theorizing took place, there was a camp that believed that the Legend of Zelda was just that, a legend, and that each game took place completely separately, except for any explicit direct sequels. This seems to be how Nintendo views the series. The plot inside of each game is focused on, but how it features together as a whole doesn't really matter to them, and even when they tried to more actively focus on it, they quickly gave up due to the pre-existing state it was in. We'll see if future titles will try and reconcile themselves better with the older games, or if this latest trend of just ignoring the timeline will be the norm going forwards.

I've always been strange. Not in a criminal way or a majorly mentally ill way just... strange. I've never been able to put a name to it. Autistic, social anxiety, bpd, developmentally delayed, adhd. Nothing has ever fit quite what goes on with me. I use tv references to explain things because I can't express myself properly.
Example: so to explain what I'm like I'd reference that scene from FRIENDS where everyone was trying to explain to Chandler why they thought he was gay at first. They said "I don't know what it is that made me think you were gay. You just have a quality."
Thats kinda what people say about me. They say they don't know really what it is it's just a quality that makes me strange. And it's not prejudice or narrow-mindedness from petty people because I've had small children tell me something is off about me.
I'm blunt and straight forward. I say what I mean and I mean what I say but I'm not mean. I'm actually very nice I think. I'm helpful and I do nice things for people. But it never seems to work out. I'm honest and I do not lie unless it's to save someone's feelings.
I just can't seem to have anything go right. Not in school, or now in my career, or home life. It just all seems to be just left of center. I try to join communities like autism or adhd thinking maybe that's it maybe I'm neurdivergent. But then they don't seem to like me.
I went through a phase where I thought hey maybe I'm gay. I'm attracted to women alot so maybe that's it. Maybe I'm suppressing who I really am and if I came clean everything would get better. Nope. The gay community kicked me out and I had the same issues with women that I had with men.
I finally married a man who is so divergent himself and so crippled that he doesn't care how I act as long as I keep him from being homeless.
Hell I can't even get people I hire to stick around. I fell at a restaurant and hired a lawyer. He told me if I wasn't willing to go to a chiropractor the whole time I'm suing the restaurant that he won't persue the case. So I told him I won't lie about having more injuries than I actually have. So he quit.
It's like I'm in deaths waiting room. Just sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting to be called. Like nothing ever goes right. Life is a rat race and I don't think I'm even in race. I'm not depressed just mildly confused and perplexed by the way life has unfolded.
Even horrible criminals can keep friends. So what is it about me that makes me so strange?

Here are the results of yesterday's matches. Bumblebee defeated Jailbirds, Faunus Pride defeated Fireball, Land of Lesbos defeated Bee's Schnees, and Remnant Orgy With Just Neo defeated Remnant Orgy Without Jaune. None of these matches were super close, with Faunus Pride vs. Fireball being the closest with a gap larger than the largest gap of Part 1 of the Round of 32. Turnout was slightly lower than the rest of the tournament for some reason, though. Still, Bumblebee managing to hold Jailbirds to just six votes is quite impressive. It's not like it was up against some random crack ship, either. It utterly dominated a ship that was, in the previous tournament, one of the top fifteen seeds. Opponents are logically only going to get tougher with each passing round, but the canonized bees are looking incredibly strong right now. Land of Lesbos and Remnant Orgy With Just Neo didn't hold their opponent to single digits like Bumblebee did, but they still didn't have much trouble with Bee's Schnees and Remnant Orgy Without Jaune. Congratulations to all the winning ships!
Here is the bracket, and now for today's matches:
Match 1: Alcoholics Anonymous (Willow x Qrow) vs. Atlas Dropouts (Ilia x Winter)
We start with a battle of mother and daughter, as 3rd-seeded Alcoholics Anonymous takes on 35th-seeded Atlas Dropouts. Alcoholics Anonymous had no trouble getting its revenge on the ship that beat it in the previous tournament, Martial Arcs, in the first round. However, Fair Game, Jailbirds, and Fireball all failing to advance to the Sweet Sixteen, maybe the drunkle's semblance is starting to activate. Of course, those ships were all lower-seeded than their opponents, while Alcoholics Anonymous has a sizable seed advantage over Atlas Dropouts. What's for certain is that one Schnee woman is going to lose her only remaining representation today. Will Winter lose her chance at happiness with Ilia, or will Qrow end up being a bad luck charm for Willow?
Match 2: Rosebird (Summer x Raven) vs. Entire Team (Taiyang x Summer x Raven x Qrow)
Hey now, this match is all-STRQ. So let's get our game on, go play. 14th-seeded Rosebird will be taking on 46th-seeded Entire Team. Like the Nuts & Dolts vs. Frosen Steel matchup that started the round, this could be a "poly ship vs. one of its components match". However, somebody once told me that Entire Team is just the three Tai ships like the meme it references, so Rosebird wouldn't count as part of it. Of course, others would say that people who believe that ain't the sharpest tools in the shed, and that Entire Team functions like the other teamwide OT4s, with all the intra-STRQ ships (excluding possibly Raven x Qrow) being part of it. Well, we'll never know if we don't go. So, let's get the show on, get paid (note: I don't actually get paid for this).
Match 3: Renora (Nora x Ren) vs. Pollination (Ruby x Weiss x Blake x Yang)
Now, we have a historic rivalry match, as 6th-seeded Renora takes on 27th-seeded Pollination. These two ships have met up in tournaments three times before (I forgot about how they faced off in the 4if tournament that PetersNachbar ran) with Pollination holding a 2-1 lead. Most notable was their first matchup in Ship Wars 3, where Pollination did what was at the time considered impossible and gave a non-Big-Four ship a win against one of the Big Four (Though Freezerburn would follow that up shortly by beating Arkos and White Rose). Renora would get its revenge in 4if by scoring a win there, though Pollination would come right back and beat Renora again in Ship Wars 5. Now, they're facing off once again. Will Renora tie up this rivalry, or will Pollination extend its lead by making Renora the first of the Big Four to ever fall in the second round?
Match 4: Monochrome (Weiss x Blake) vs. Greek Fire (Yang x Pyrrha)
We close out the second round with a matchup between 11th-seeded Monochrome and 43rd-seeded Greek Fire. Before Bumblebee's utter dismantling of Jailbirds, Monochrome held its opponent to the fewest votes of any ship in the tournament, as only eight people voted for Silent Types against it (proving that there wasn't much of a "silent majority" there, amirite? OK, that one was terrible. I'm sorry. Not apologizing for all the All Star puns in Rosebird vs. Entire Team, though). Perhaps Monochrome being the highest-seeded Weiss ship wasn't a fluke after all. Its opponent, Greek Fire, scored an upset against Lancaster to make it this far. In this age of canon bees, which ship will suffer the most: the Blake ship without Yang, or the Yang ship without Blake? We'll just have to find out.

As part of my project (available at BestOfDivI), I've added (read: made up) a few extra tidbits for history's sake. For example, it's been a decade since Michigan State crashed the national title game before losing to Duke. I bring this up because in the nine seasons between then and this one, only UCLA (six times), Kentucky (five times), North Carolina (four times), Kansas (twice), and Duke (once) have been in the NIBL National Championship game.
This season doesn't seem to be trending any differently. On to non-conference play!
MATCHDAY 7
The Super Five re-asserted their dominance over the rest of the NIBL. Wilt Chamberlain not only scored 21 points but held Red Kerr scoreless as Kansas knocked off Illinois. In an outside vs inside battle, outside won as Grant Hill and JJ Redick helped Duke pull one out against Houston. Michael Jordan may have taken the UCLA loss personally as he went off for 38 in North Carolina's rout of Arizona State.
Kansas was one of three remaining unbeatens. In the other meetings, Chris Webber scored 31 as Michigan routed Louisville. In the main event, with all the big men playing evenly with each other, it was Reggie Miller who was the difference as UCLA took out Kentucky to stake a claim at the #1 spot. (In the other Top 25 matchup, Kevin Durant put up 25 as Texas beat Minnesota.)
MATCHDAY 8
Anyone hoping for a disturbance in the usual order was in for a rude awakening this day. UCLA became the only unbeaten remaining -- building off of their 37-0 season last year -- by getting both Joel Embiid and Wilt Chamberlain in foul trouble as UCLA knocked off Kansas. There was a chance for a second... hypothetically, but the That Was Out Of Bounds Revenge Tour continued as North Carolina routed Michigan with all 15 players getting in. A rivalry game saw a showcase for Dave Bing, who proved to be the difference as Syracuse upended Connecticut. What seemed like the NIBL's most glamorous chess match was won by Mike Krzyzewski over Bobby Knight as Grant Hill running the point was the secret to Duke's rout of Indiana. (For those asking, the other Five Star team licked their wounds and recovered as Kentucky destroyed Florida State.)
Things were much closer outside of this bubble. Junior Bridgeman's buzzer beater proved the difference in overtime as Louisville took out Maryland. Jason Richardson and Aaron Gordon traded baskets, but Magic Johnson found the answers as Michigan State held off Arizona. A defensive swarm put Kevin Durant off his game as Adrian Dantley took over, leading Notre Dame to a laugher over Texas. A Rose Bowl broke out on the hardwood, and as has been the case several times, Southern Cal held off Ohio State. And for those hoping for a mid-major resurgence, that looks unlikely as Georgetown took out UNLV and showed the dominance of the Power Six conferences.
MATCHDAY 9
The big story, again, was the dominance of the top 3 teams in the poll. The presumptive new #1 showed off their depth when Kiki Vandeweghe of all people led the scoring and UCLA shut down Michigan State. The Michael Jordan Took That Loss Personally Tour raged on as MJ's triple-double fueled North Carolina's rout of Alabama. In what was supposed to be a rivalry game, one team shut down the other without much trouble as Kentucky put up 100 on Louisville. And while it wasn't a Top 25 game yet -- the two teams are ranked now -- a huge reality check hammered down as Duke took care of Iowa easily.
Elsewhere, the Top 25 matchups were a lot calmer. The Orange continued their display of dominance as Syracuse defeated Illinois to raise the question of whether someone could compete with the Tobacco Road crew. "We Want Kansas" rang through the home crowd while Michigan dropped the hammer on Notre Dame to move to 8-1 on the season. Kansas' "Big 3" of Paul Pierce, Wilt Chamberlain, and Joel Embiid each had 16 as the Jayhawks took out Southern Cal. Isiah Thomas' 19-5-11 game was enough as Indiana recovered to defeat Arizona State. And in a huge surprise, the Forty Minutes of Hell was too much for Elvin Hayes and Damon Jones as Arkansas upset Houston, knocking the Cougars out of the Top 25.
LOOKING AHEAD
With the NIBL Media Poll soon to debut alongside the on-running NIBL Coaches' Poll, the differences between the two will be interesting to see. But before that, we have one more week to get through. UCLA has three games to prove they are going for another perfect season. North Carolina and Kentucky drew each other, while Michigan wants to crack into the blue-blood zone against Duke at home. On top of that, two newly-ranked teams will be tested early, as Iowa faces Arkansas while Florida takes on California.

Once, Mullah Nasruddin found himself in the midst of a lively debate about infallibility in the Baha'i Faith. People were discussing the concept of acquired infallibility, and Nasruddin couldn't help but notice the confusion in their words. He decided to share a story to shed some light on the matter.
Gathered around, the eager listeners awaited Nasruddin's insightful tale. With a playful twinkle in his eye, Nasruddin began:
"Once, there was a King who proclaimed himself to be infallible. He declared that he had acquired infallibility from God and had the Divine right to rule, much to the amazement of his subjects. Curiosity piqued, a brave young man approached the King and asked, 'Oh, great and infallible ruler, how can one acquire infallibility?'”
"The King pondered for a moment, then responded, 'My dear subject, acquiring infallibility is like acquiring a ray of sunlight. You see, the Sun is the source of all light, and illuminates the world. Similarly, the infallibility bestowed upon me is like a ray of sunlight. It shines upon my decisions and protects them from error.'”
"The young man scratched his head, perplexed. 'But, O great Monarch, can anyone else acquire this infallibility as well?'”
"The King continued, with a sparkle in his eyes. 'Indeed, my young friend. If you follow my laws and uphold my authority, you too shall be blessed with acquired infallibility. Just as the Sun shines upon all my subjects, my infallibility can be shared with those who follow me without questioning my decisions.’”
"Nasruddin paused for effect, looking at his audience with a knowing smile. 'Now, my brothers and sisters, what do you make of this tale?'”
"The listeners exchanged glances, some chuckling at the absurdity of it all. One person finally spoke up, saying, 'Mullah Nasruddin, this story illustrates the fallacy of acquired infallibility. Infallibility is an absolute attribute that cannot be obtained or conferred upon by anyone.'”
"Nasruddin nodded approvingly. 'Precisely! Just as you have astutely realized, Infallibility cannot be divided or diluted. It is a Divine attribute that can only belong to God and His Manifestations. All other claimants to “acquired” infallibility are lying through their teeth.’”

Hello. I’m going to start off by saying I’m 15F almost 16 and Max (fake name) is 16M. For context I have been dating Max on and off for two years now. He has been my world and I thought I wanted to be with him forever. I love him but not as much as I used to. Max and I talked and liked each other for the first time in September. I remember I thought he was weird but I really liked him and created a huge image of him in my head stemming lust and a lot of me wanting to be with him forever. I understand my youth can cause this to seem really small and irrelevant but in my eyes it hurts bad. Through the first two months, Max had hurt me a lot. He was not very nice to me and would be verbally short and dry and tell me I was too paranoid all the time. I didn’t care. For some reason I was determined to make it work with him and waiting for a while. The first time we officially started dating in December 2021, It was only for 11 days. I loved him a lot though because we had talked so often on and off before. I felt really attached to him even though he treated me like shit and hadn’t even talked to me that often during the relationship. Eventually, on January 1st, he left me. What I didn’t know back then was he was asking for other girl’s snapchats while we were dating. He shattered me really bad. I was torn. He continued leading me on after that and just asked for a break. But of course while I was at school he said he wanted a permanent break up. I felt completely devastated. I don’t even know why. Eventually though in March, he came back and I was ecstatic and I was so excited at the chance he’d maybe be back with me. But no. It all was torn down again when he told me there was another girl and he was going to stay with her. At that point I still didn’t know that he had asked other girls for there media and was being dishonest. I continued to move on and it got better but eventually we began to rekindle our relationship in July 2022. I figured this time would be different but he treated me even worse. He called me annoying and that he’d leave me for being so paranoid about other girls but looking back now, i had every reason to be. We had been arguing often and I was shattered because I was such a pushover wanting this to work with him. Because I had such little trust towards him and I was only 15, (I was 14 when this story began) I had my friend test him by adding him on snapchat and trying to get him on a date. She had started flirting and sent a picture of her face to him and almost immediately he said “Damn.” My friend then proceeded to ask him if he was single or talking to anyone and he said no entirely. When i confronted him about this he said it was not a big deal but it broke me to pieces. I tried talking to him about this later on but he said “Clearly I’m not doing anything wrong because you’re still here.” Eventually I just left the issue and got over it and stayed with him. But literally a week later he texts me and tells me about another girl (we’ll call her Katie) and how they’ve dated before and how she texted him telling him she missed him, and that he missed her too. This actually broke me so bad. I wanted to die. Eventually he left me for her but I don’t wanna get into that depth because it still hurts me now. After a few months to myself and trying to heal I had hardly made any progress. I saw him at a football game for my high school and I ended up standing next to him. He talked to me a lot and eventually we just kind of started dating again. I know. Stupid of me. After a while, we went to homecoming together and he asked me over snapchat which was so lame i was so bummed. But when we got to homecoming he literally ditched me and didn’t stand by me one time during the whole event. i started crying and this is when my guy friend (we’ll call him Lucas) hugged me and tried to make me feel better. I was uncomfortable though so I walked away towards my friend Ava. When Max found this out he accused me of cheating and grinding on Lucas which was not even 1% true. But me being my stupid self and wanting him and I to last I said sorry and that it never happened and begging for him to stay and to forgive me for so long. Finally he stayed (unfortunately) and we began to grow from there. What I did not know was him and Katie were still friends (against her will) and he had been begging to meet up with her and to take her to a football game and that I didn’t need to know. Thank god Katie is a good person and said no. He told her he missed her and he needed to see her. I didn’t even find this out from him which makes this story even worse. I had added Katie on snapchat to get the full story that Max had kept declining happened and leaving on details on but she gave me the entire side . Basically at the end of the night before finding that out Max had texted me and told me that he was going to leave me for her. I found out it was a joke and he made me feel like shit for not trusting him and for not thinking the joke was funny. I started getting over it and telling him I was leaving his ass because I couldn’t handle the drama. He began to beg me to stay and me being the idiot in love I am , I stayed. He kept picking small fights and saying I was jealous and had major trust issues and saying he was gonna leave me but never ended up doing it. I got tired and just always apologized for shit I never even did. He started getting better about it and I was really happy about that but I found out he was calling me ugly behind my back to his weird loser friends that nobody even likes. He told them I was ugly with ginger hair (natural ginger hair) but I was slightly JUST SLIGHTLY better because my hair was darker. I wanted to kill myself. I was so sad again. I confronted him about it and denied it until I lied to him and said I had video proof because I was tired of him lying. After that he fessed up and I was feeling so betrayed. The one boy I loved more than anything called me ugly because of my biggest insecurity behind my back? But if you’re asking yourself, no I didn’t leave him after that either. After him flirting with two more girls I asked him not to talk to I had left him publicly. Another thing I should mention is his weird love for his cousin Ellie. He had sent me pictures of him and Ellie snuggling, ditched me to go to her soccer game, scared off boys who had crushes on her and just relentlessly teased her and was overall seemingly obsessive over her. Me writing all of this down to share to you is putting me in perspective of how much i really hate Max right now. He has now been better. He isn’t mean to me at all anymore , he hasn’t cheated on me in a while , he hasn’t really done much anymore. I’m just so worn down by all of the past things he’s done to me and i’m not sure what to do. I know the right thing in your pov would be for me to leave him, but it isn’t that easy for me. I’ve loved this boy for so long and it’s so difficult to just leave. i have noticed some negative behavior on my half and me being not the nicest towards him, but i think it’s because of the past damage he’d done to me. idk. should i leave?

What are some reasons top actors turn down offers from CAA or WME? As the top two agencies, why would an actor at the peak of their career go with another agency?
I know most actors would love to be represented by them but I have heard and seen actors who have won Oscars decline offers from CAA and WME and will sign with UTA or another lower agency.

Synopsis of my story (sorry for the length): On Saturday, 5/20 in Brunswick County, North Carolina, I had one drink (Vodka Cranberry) and a large glass of water with a meal in downtown Wilmington, NC. I did not drive until 12:45am on 5/21 (almost four hours later). That night, the Brunswick Country Sheriff’s office and Shallotte PD were running a "Booze it or Loze It" DWI checkpoint. I was subjected to this DWI checkpoint. A young Shallotte PD officer asked me if I had had anything to drink during the night. Unfortunately, I thought being friendly and honest with the officer would go a long way. BIG MISTAKE! He pulled me out of the vehicle. A Lt. from the Brunswick Country Sheriff’s office then jumped in my vehicle and pulled it up farther up the freeway. He locked it, then came back and handed the keys to the officer.
The Shallotte PD officer asked if I would perform FSTs. I told him that because of multiple sports injuries and surgeries to my legs, I would have to politely decline. The Sheriff's LT heard this and became angry. He went back up to my locked vehicle and began looking through the windows with a flashlight for evidence. The Shallotte PD officer asked if I would blow into a portable breathalyzer, which I gladly accepted. I blew a .01% BAC, the lowest detectable limit of BAC. At the same time, the Sheriff's LT saw a "Yeti" aluminum cup, with a lid on it and a straw in it, in my center console. It contained water. But, the Lt loudly exclaimed, "We have an open container of alcohol!". Apparently, he has some sort of x-ray alcohol vision to look through a locked car's window, through an aluminum cup, and see alcohol. He commanded the officer, “If he won’t perform FSTs- arrest him!” (evidence on body cam)
My arrest included violations of my civil and/or constitutional rights:

1. I was never properly Mirandized after being arrested
2. I repeatedly asked to speak with an attorney. I was repeatedly denied this request

I know you all will say to "lawyer up" and get an attorney, but I refuse to pay $5k- $15k for this, at least yet. All that has to be proven in court is a "Reasonable doubt", of which there is plenty.
There are procedural things I want to do first, such as view the body evidence for myself (and take copious notes). Can anyone recommend a good paralegal in Brunswick County, North Carolina who understands this system and can help me get access to the evidence that I need?

Hey there ReddX gang, it looks like I finally got a bit of time to write, so let’s not delay any longer and get into another story about Chris.
Who is Chris? Chris is a very fat and sweaty man surrounded by an impenetrable aura of poopycum stinkystank. He is a grotesque goblin content to dwell in his own personal dark triad of meth, anime, and lot lizards. Chris and I both used to work for a trucking company – a major one – and him and I would take turns driving our big rig down the road. Things were usually okay when Chris was driving, but when Chris’s shift would come to an end, or worse yet, when we would pull over for the night, Chris would find himself free to do Chris things. You know the things. Then, despite my best efforts to make him bathe and behave, it was all in vain, and we would descend just a little bit further into madness. Thankfully, I no longer have to ride with Chris.
Last installment we were introduced to Christina. Do you not know who Christina is? Well, maybe you should go and look up that last post, or better yet, go and listen to the narration of it as done by our good pal ReddX. Christina really was the feminine counterpart to the poopycum man. Well, after some sly maneuvering, I managed to escape the clutches of this wily bovine.
Now, I woke up the following morning to find both truck doors still locked and I thanked myself that my comfortable sanctuary had not been breached in the night by the poopycum people. I looked at my clock and realized that we were getting a bit late in the morning and that we needed to get on the road. Begrudgingly, I got out of bed, put on my shoes, and went out into the travel plaza to locate the gruesome twosome. I didn’t have to go far. I found Chris and his sister outside of the convenience store, wolfing down microwaved carbs, grease, and high fructose corn syrup like they a couple pigs in a trough. I came up, Chris dismissively remarking hey, and Christina replying with a sultry “good morning honker donkers” which I ignored. I turned to Chris, pretending his sister didn’t exist, and said, “we gotta get on the road, dude. Are you ready?” He shoved half a hot dog down into his mouth as if to deep throat the thing and said, “yeah, let’s go. Come on Christina.”
We all got back to the truck and I jumped in the passenger seat first that morning, taking us out of our parking space and further down the road. I figured I’d get my drive time out of the way first so that I could make my money without having to fight with Chris, and alternatively, if Christina drove the afternoon, I could spend it in relative peace without fear of molestation. Of course, that first shift was hell. Christina was still in heat – swampy, musky heat – and kept trying to coo her way into giving me road head. Thankfully, Chris was still the same scum that he was from yesterday and made things too awkward even for the beast beside me for her to make her moves. Every time she got a little too close to me, I’d find some way to rouse Chris’s attention and he would fluster her with his incestuous masturbatory desires.
When my shift finally came to an end, I got up and headed to the back to relax in my bunk while Chris and Christina fought over the driver’s seat. Chris shouted, “dude! I haven’t drove at all this whole trip! I need to make money so I can get some new figures for my army. Get up Christina,” to which Christina replied, “shove it. Just ask dad for some money. I wanna drive the truck.” Well, Chris wasn’t having it. I guess dad had been cutting him off as of late and gave the landwhale a hard shove, sending her careening into the side of the truck, causing the whole rig to rock back and forth. She came back and lunged at Chris and they started throwing blows at each other. I didn’t intervene, of course. I sincerely doubted either of them had the required upper body strength to actually injure the other. No, I let them get tired. Christina gave up first and said, “fine! Drive the damn truck! I’ll just go hang out with honker donkers.” At this, my ears perked up, I got up from my bunk, and plopped down in the passenger seat – a place only big enough for one person mind you – and Christina cast me a sour look. She knew I didn’t want to be anywhere near her, but that didn’t seem to stop her from still trying to put on the moves. With a dejected sigh, she waddled towards the back, and I screamed, “you better not lay down on my bunk,” and she said, “fuck you, I’m not going to lay in your bed.” Chris did his pre-drive checklist before casting a glance over to me, mumbling, “women, am I right or what, bro,” before putting his phone on the dongle and pressing play. We pulled onto the road to the throaty cries of “nani? Baka!”
As we drove, I did my best to ignore the people about me, grateful that I was safe with Chris driving the truck. I descended into my book as best I could while the poopycum man took us down the road. I was doing a good job pretending I wasn’t there, of course, but it certainly didn’t last forever. Somewhere around the hour mark, however, a symphony of squeaking bedsprings arrested my attention. Chris even looked away from his podcast for a minute and locked eyes with me, and we exchanged a what the fuck moment. Cautiously, I looked over my shoulder towards the back of the cab.
The ham planet had made herself comfortable in my bed, alright. Too comfortable. Her languid, throaty breaths punctuated the awkward scene before me. Her swollen red ass was firmly planted on my bed and she sat there, one hand lifting up her sagging belly, the other fondling her yawning crevasse. She smiled coyly as she saw that I had turned around and motioned for me to approach, but I did not dare to do so. I recoiled in absolute disgust, letting out a “what the Hell are you doing?” Chris swerved a bit at my outburst but managed to stay on the road. My disgust only elevated exponentially when I saw that the hand that touched her rancid cooch held something in it. “What the fuck is that?”
She smiled wryly as she held up a dirty old sock, and I practically gagged. She replied, “Even if you don’t come here inside me, I’ve got your come inside me.” I dry-heaved for a moment as Chris said, “what the Hell is going on back there?” Pale as a ghost, I mumbled, “dude, she’s masturbating with an old sock.” Chris swerved again. “Oh fuck. Christina, where did you get that sock?”
Things got real quiet real fast. Christina mumbled, “I got it off of honker donker’s laundry hamper. I can tell he must have been thinking about me when he used it.” I shuddered. I don’t beat off into socks in the back of the truck cab, and even if I had done it, I certainly hadn’t done it today. Whatever hypothetical cum sock she had found would have been long dried up from the night before if I had made one. No, somebody else’s cum was on that sock. She smiled wryly as she lifted it up and played with a sticky strand of goo that adhered to the fabric before pulling her fingers down to her snatch and I gagged.
“Christina,” I said slowly, “that isn’t my sock.” She retorted, “don’t lie, it was on your hamper,” and I practically yelled at Chris “why are you throwing your cum socks in my laundry basket, bro?” Chris said, “I didn’t throw a cum sock in your laundry basket honker donkers, for fuck’s sake. What the Hell is Christina doing back there?” I described the scene to Chris, telling him, “well, she must have found a cumsock of yours from today and she’s rubbing it into her ax wound.” Christina paused for a minute, a strand of that goopy jizz hanging from her lips to the sock and I practically threw up. I rolled down the window and heaved for a minute as the gravity of the situation was dawning on me. Christina had grabbed one of Chris’s cumsocks, thinking that somehow it was mine and still had a trace of viable seed on it, and began rubbing it into her vagoo.
Christina cooed, “what’s wrong, honker donkers? I’m sure you taste even better when you’re fresh,” and I practically shouted, “That’s Chris’s sock!” Things got real quiet as the gravitas of the situation kicked in for both Chris and Christina. Christina instantly flew into a rage, throwing down the cumsock and waddling up behind the driver’s seat and began to beat Chris on the back of the head. The truck swerved left and right, and I started yelling, “Chris! Brakes!” I pressed the hazards and grabbed the wheel while he tried to shield his head and slowly decelerate us to a stop while Christina screeched about how Chris had just raped her. The whole deceleration, Chris was pummeled by his sister’s hamfists, until we finally made it to the shoulder of the road with the hazards on. The whole time, Christina, half-naked and shrieking, accused Chris of having tricked her into inseminating herself with his poopysplooge.
Chris got up from where he sat and started to throw blows against his sister, the useless and ineffectual impacts of each combatant wailing upon each other’s heads with little to no actually damage inflicted. I figured they would tire themselves out eventually, and when things finally did settle down, Christina collapsed into a sobbing, half-naked mess, still clutching the gnarly sock that contained her brother’s fetid ejaculate. She lifted up a corner of it and used to wipe a tear that trickled down her cheek. Across from her, Chris stared ahead for a thousand miles, comatose and catatonic.
I didn’t break the silence. I just listened to the wails in meditative silence. Finally a choked sob came from Christina. “You’re… you’re just messing with me, right?” I came back hard and unapologetic. “At what time between then and now did you think I went into the back and rubbed one out? In the two minutes you guys were fighting over the driver’s seat, did you think I whipped it out and spanked it? I’m not gross like either of you two.” The wails intensified. Chris continued to gaze into the abyss, wondering just what in the Hell had led to this culmination of events. When things started to calm down, Christina whined and sniveled and said, “well, what happens now?”
I remarked that she should probably go head to a hospital and get checked for STDs. I mentioned Chris’s long history of having unprotected sex with truck stop tutes, which he fervently denied in the moment, calling me a liar, but I persisted and said that that was the best course of action for her. She should probably go get checked out. She curled into a ball in the back while Chris looked at me with a scowl and said, “dude, I can’t believe you’re telling lies about me like that. Why would I ever sleep with a prostitute bro? I’m an alpha pussy magnet.” I said, “whatever, fat boy, get back in the driver’s seat and get your sister to the hospital so they can take a look at her.”
Begrudgingly, he got up from where he sat and got to the driver’s seat, starting the truck up again and taking us off the shoulder in a tense and awkward silence. Not even the cries of “nani? Baka!” serenaded us as we went down the road, the gravitas of such a situation apparent to even one poopycum man who was otherwise oblivious about everything. We rode for about an hour before we finally came off the interstate on the of Amarillo, and Chris drove us into a hospital. Christina got up from the back and sullenly walked towards the hospital entrance while Chris and I sat there in quiet.
We exchanged a look between each other, a silent, “so what do we do now,” before Chris mumbled, “I guess I’ll call in to dispatch and let them know what’s going on.” I replied that that would be the best, and so Chris picked up the radio receiver and Chris told dispatch, verbatim, “hey, uh, dispatch, this is Chris, and we’ve had to stop at a hospital. I guess my sister found one of my cum socks and used it to masturbate and now she needs to get checked out because she’s worried about STDs or something.” The line crackled in awkward silence. I tried not to cackle with laughter. He could have stopped at “I had to drop my sister off at the hospital” and that was that. Well, it took about a minute to get a response. I’m sure dispatch was wondering just what the Hell Chris was even talking about, and trying to come to terms with that awkward sentence he had given them. Eventually, dispatch got back to us. They wanted to know how long we would be. Chris said there was no current ETA at the moment.
Eventually, we were told to sit tight, and Chris and I sat back in the truck, letting the hours whittle away while we waited for Christina to get checked out. He was a man of few words then, just repeating to himself, “I can’t believe this happened,” and “god, my sister is such a stupid slut.” I couldn’t disagree on either of those points, of course, and so I held my tongue too. We must have sat in that lot for several hours, before Chris shot upright and yelled, “it’s not fair!”
I didn’t reply. Something was bothering the big guy, obviously, and I wasn’t about to invite it out of him because I didn’t give a damn. He launched into a rant about how he never wanted to take his stupid sister out on the road anyway because women don’t know how to drive trucks and she was a disgusting beast who shouldn’t have masturbated with his laundry and now he was gonna be late for the drop off which was eating into his time for roaming the lots looking for drugs and lizards. All these things were true, but like I said, the last thing I wanted to do was encourage him. When finally he tuckered himself out with all his whining and complaining, he collapsed into the driver’s seat once again in sullen silence. I have anticipated for him to start up, again. Quietly, he mumbled, “so, do you think she’s gonna keep it?”
I was mortified at the thought. Another hour passed in awkward silence before we could see Christina come barreling down the parking lot towards the truck. When she hoisted herself into the cab, the truck lurched under her weight and she came in, sullen faced and more disturbed than ever. I didn’t ask her what happened, but Chris was eager to know. The short summary is that the hospital gave her something called prep, which is basically a medicine to guard against HIV infection, and a morning after pill for her to take on her own time. When Chris heard the mention of the morning after pill, he started up, “so you’re just gonna kill our baby like that?” Christina loudly voiced what everyone was thinking. “What the fuck is wrong with you, Chris? Ugh, god forbid if anything even took root, of course I’m going to kill it.”
This precipitated a long argument as Chris pulled us out of the lot, shouting over his shoulder that his sister was a disgusting infanticidal sow and that it was morally repugnant for her to terminate the life of a small child, even, yes, if it was forged in the poopycum passion of a serial molester’s mistake. I let this get more and more heated, of course. I wanted it to end, don’t get me wrong, but at this point, I was banking on them becoming so antagonistic to each other that either Chris or Christina quiet and I could continue the night in relative peace. The good lord must have been listening to my prayer that evening, because eventually Christina shouted, “screw you! I’m calling daddy!” and she whipped out her phone to call her father.
She ranted into the mouthpiece that Chris was a disgusting subhuman troglodyte (accurate) and that he was also a gross pervert (also a fact) and that she didn’t think she could hack the trucking lifestyle if she had to copilot with Chris. Her father, doting on daddy’s girl, I can only assume, responded something, and she continued, “fine, I’ll be there in an hour.” She turned to Chris in a huff and told him to take her to the airport. My reprieve had come. Chris didn’t do that, though. He pulled over the truck, told her to go screw herself with a used splooge sock, and that she could walk home. Christina did get out of the truck, presumably to call a cab.
I never did encounter Christina again, but according to Chris’s reckoning, their dad placed her in another truck to learn under someone else, and my heart went out for that poor soul who inevitably was sexually assaulted by her discolored nipnops and yeasty odor. Thankfully, no poopycum child was ever forged by Christina’s spoiled eggs and Chris’s stagnant seed, either, because that, my friends, would have truly been an abomination against all that is holy. I don’t know if Christina got the clap or the herp or any of that, but my best is safely on, yes, it happened.
After she left, Chris and I were surprisingly sympatico for the next two days. I almost felt a debt to the poopycum man for saving me from his sister’s sexual wiles by way of his own disgusting degenerate nature, but I never expressed it. The last thing I wanted him to think was that I was approving of him jacking off in the truck again and giving him carte blanche to do so. We never spoke of her again, though from time to time, when I would walk through the yard office back in California, I would catch the odd wafting fragrance of curdling yeast and wondered if Christina actually did manage to get herself into a company truck. I would not be surprised.
And that, my friends, concludes today’s installment, but don’t you guys a worry, because even though the real world is calling my name, I’ll be back in the not too distant future with yet another story about everyone’s favorite opprobrious little cumstain, Chris.

Even though family is upper middle class i never wanted a single thing from my family, ever. I never wanted clothes, a phone or anything at all. My dad renews the car every year even when the car works fine, he buys computers and tablets every once in a while and loves bragging about it to everyone he knows. In middle school i won a scholarship in an exam and i was guaranteed to get paid some money every month until the last month of high school. I wanted to save it for my college. My dad made an alt bank account to save it for me. And i trusted him with it and never brought it up.
Since there is only 1 year for that scholarship to end now, i wanted to learn how much is saved in that account and i asked my dad about it. He looked at me, then laughed and said “nothing”. I thought it was a joke at first but it turns out he is serious and he spent all the money. I was confused and angry and asked him what he did with my money. He went crazy after me saying “my” money. Because apparently it was not my money but it was his and my mothers. I asked him how could a scholarship i earned with passing an exam could be his and he thinks it’s actually him who earned that exam because of all the hard-work he did on me so he is the reason i won and therefore it’s his.
Then he kept talking for hours about how i am so ungrateful. He gives me food, he gives me a bed he buys me books (he bought me 3 books on average this year and i borrowed or took the second-hands to complete almost all of them) and i should be happy that he gives me the privilege of eating and doesn’t let me starve.
And then he said that he will not to see me again when i get out of his home because he hates me, he can’t even stand looking at my face and he is disgusted by me.
I don’t know what to say or do. I am ashamed that i have to spend the money of people who hate me. I wish i wasn’t dependent on them. I don’t want to eat anything they bought but i kind of have to.

When I was in undergraduate (for a degree with coursework way easier than most departments and easy grading -Sociology) I was working full-time going to school for 6 years and I never came across 1 student that actually liked school and was excited to learn through assignments. I partially understand - you need a degree to get a job so you just trudge through, but at the same time we are PAYING MONEY to be here and to take these classes and YOU CHOSE your path so you seriously aren’t going to admit to liking 1 single class or assignment? Flash forward to grad school I’m like YESS I’m finally going to be with classmates that enjoy school like me!! It makes me so mad that people are wasting spots and filling jobs they don’t want when there are a lot of people that actually are excited to work and go to school.
