Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

[01] When does the server reset?
For global, dailies reset at 19:00 UTC and weeklies reset on Sunday.
[02] Should I re-roll this account?
This will depend on your priorities with PvE, PvP, or both, but you can generally see the “ideal” units as Iori, Hibiki, and Tsubaki for most content, while Shun and Haruna are great for PvP.
[03] Who should I spend my elephs on? Who should I mystic unlock?
At the start, prioritize spending your blank elephs on getting Serina to 2-star for the increased healing stat, Tsubaki to 3-star for the extra tankiness when she is reloading. It is generally advised not to spend your elephs on increasing characters to 4-star and 5-star ratings, since there is only a stat increase and the amount of elephs needed is quite high.
[04] What do my support students’ stats do?
Aside from increasing the stats of their own skills, support students will provide additional stat boosts to your striker team. The specific increase(s) can be viewed by clicking on “Support” on the right side of the team formation screen.
[05] What should I buy in the shop?

• Credit Shop - Buy out the bottom row of materials, then the first two tiers of enhancement stones as needed. Feel free to buy the higher tiers of enhancement stones if you feel that you have an excess of credits, which is very common.
• Eligma - This will depend on you, can reference question [03].
• Total Assault (raid) - Prioritize Maki’s elephs (until you unlock her) and save the rest of your currency for future updates that will add more low-rarity students to the shop, meaning you can unlock mystic for them without spending your eligma. You can also purchase the skill discs/blu-rays depending on your needs.
• Tactical Challenge (PvP) - Buy out the energy drinks as needed (warning: they are instantly consumed, they won’t be moved to your inventory). Many suggest to save these for events in order to buy drinks, refresh the shop, and repeat.

[06] What does the “leader” position do?
This is purely cosmetic, as it changes which student’s chibi shows up on the map.
[07] What benefits are there to joining a club?

• 10 AP are given daily and deposited automatically on teacher's mailbox, upon checking in.
• A maximum of two assistant can be set for Total Assault and Joint Firing Drill respectively.

1. Students assigned to assist with TA cannot also be selected to assist with JFD.
2. 20 credits are rewarded every minute by setting assistants.
3. The specific unit that is borrowed can be only used once a day.
4. There's a fee of 40,000 credits, when borrowing a assistant student.
5. The donor receives 50,000 credits instead; even though the fee is 40,000 credits.
6. The fee can only be received 20 times a day.

• It can be unlocked after clearing Mission 3 Act 4

[08] How does the pity system work?
You need to pull, at a minimum, 200 times in order to get 200 recruitment points that are redeemed for the character you want. The recruitment point system does not carry over from banner to banner, it is only shared between banners that are concurrently running.
[09] Why can’t I find my friend’s club?
While the servers’ updates are separated from JP and global, the global servers are separated further into smaller divisions. You need to be on the same server as your friend, which you can check from the home screen: top-right menu button > account > version info. The server must be the same.
[10] When is X banner coming? Should I save for X student?
We never know for sure, due to the fact that global servers are on an accelerated schedule compared to JP. Please refer to this guide for some more info.
[11] Should I use Pyroxenes to refill my AP?
If you want to prioritize progression, the first three daily refills are decently valuable, this is because the Pyroxene cost of refilling will increase for every three refills. If you are focused on character collection or future banners, you should be saving your Pyroxenes.
[12] Why can’t I buy X student’s eleph in the shop?
You can only buy elephs of students you own.
[13] What should I craft?
At the start, prioritize crafting cafe furniture until your comfort is maxed out, then students’ gifts, then whichever upgrade materials you need. The crafting system is the only way to get furniture and gifts at the moment.
[14] What is the “Anniversary” in account settings?
This is your birthday, used for characters to wish you happy birthday.
[15] When will the beginner guide missions for Nonomi end?
This is a permanent addition, so feel free to take your time with the tasks.
[16] What is the best place to farm EXP?
You can run any map to farm EXP, as the EXP gain is equal to the amount of AP spent (i.e. 10 AP spent = 10 EXP gained). You should be looking at the stages that drop the equipment upgrade materials that you need.
[17] What is the “Secret Tech Sheet” in the Total Assault shop?
This is used to upgrade a student’s (non-EX) skill to level 10.
[18] Is it worth doing a raid if I can’t pass X difficulty level?
It is always more efficient to clear the highest difficulty you can finish instead of failing/forfeiting a higher difficulty.
[19] Can I claim the Limited Students through exchanging Expert Permits? How often does the Expert Permit shop resets?
You cannot get the limited students via this method. You will still need to pull for them. There's no specific mentioned but it's expected to be monthly.

So USPS lost my passport. Officially. I reached out to my congressman who opened a case with USPS. My passport was supposed to arrive on 4/7 at the Philadelphia Passport Agency from Sacramento USPS. My passport never departed and Sacramento cannot find it.
I worked with two congress offices in trying to get an appointment with the SF Passport Agency and the only available appointment is 6/5 which means I would have to push my flight out a day or two.
Unfortunately when I tried changing my flight the change in price is $1300. I honestly don't have that money to drop and would already be taking a loss by missing two days of my trip (we had itineraries already scheduled).
I asked the congress office if there are any availabilities at LA or San Diego passport agencies this week because I would rather drive/fly down there than pay $1300 for my flight change but I haven't heard back from the congress office yet.
I'm honestly so distraught and have no idea what to do at this point besides just taking the 6/5 appointment...but then I'd be out $1300. I feel like this is just a punch in the gut because USPS were the ones who lost my passport when I expedited it and paid over $200 just for them to lose it. So ironic because this trip to Europe was to celebrate my mom's retirement after working at USPS for over 30 years...
Does anyone have any insight or tips on what I could do to get an appointment this week and not have to change my flight? I know it's a longshot...

Hi everyone - I lost my passport somewhere in Reykjavik on Sunday. We are driving around the island and I didn’t realize I lost it until I got to Hofn, where I am currently. I’m scheduled to be back in Reykjavík on Saturday but it says the US embassy is closed. Does anybody know if they will be able to help me out on a Saturday? Is it worth contacting g reykjavik police to see if someone turned it in?
Otherwise, I will have to get back to Reykjavík asap? Is there public transport from myvatn or Aujeryik (I don’t think I spelled that right) to Reykjavík?

I think by now we all now what the 14 day mark means. The passport status of my bf’s passport has been “Not Available” for almost 3 weeks now.
It was in process 3/21 Became “Not available” a few weeks after. We called 4/19 to expedite, filled out the form, but his cc was never charged. We passed the 27 day mark for the expedition request. So we called again today. They told us they can’t provide a status update and all they can do is provide another expedition request.
I was planning on contacting the Senator of California (bc we already reached out to the congressman, and they said to wait til the 14th day). After I contact the senator, and if there really is no solution, there will be no other option than the scheduling at a passport agency within 14 days of travel.
With that said, has anyone ever experienced this? I’ve been seeing posts all over reddit that people can’t even get an appointment. Any success stories? Failure stories? On the same boat?

Second passport for my 13 yo, travel date July 6. Expedited app and shipping from the start (I knew I waited way too long so upgraded everything I could) and included the travel date.
Documentation provided was a xerox copy of her birth certificate and her old passport book as main proof of identity. Submitted our application in person at our local library - they did the photo on site.

My son was born in March and we needed a passport for him for travel on June 1, for an event that is out of my control. This has been a stressful experience so here’s our timeline so far. We applied with everything as expedited as possible, including shipping both ways. Expedited processing times were 7-9 weeks.
April 7 - appointment at post office to apply. This was the earliest appointment available after we received his ss card/birth certificate needed to apply.
April 10 - passport agency received application and deposited check. Status changed to in process.
May 19 - called agency at 14 days out (4 hours on hold) and asked them to expedite it. She sent an email asking the agency to process it by June 1 travel date.
May 27 - status changed to approved with expected arrival “on or around 5/31”. That’s the day before our flight leaves. I’m worried the holiday weekend may delay the shipment.
May 30 - no passport yet but will update as we get to our travel date.
We will need to leave for our flight around 1pm on 6/1 so there is a potential that we will be fine if it arrives a day late.
In hindsight, I wasn’t aware of contacting congress person to request expedited passport. If I had known this was an option, would have definitely tried that.
Update:
May 30 - status changed to shipped and we received a tracking number. The passport portal says we’ll receive it 6/2 but the usps tracking site says 6/1 by 6pm.

Hi,
I recently completed biometrics at VFS but my application has been refused as I need to provide more information.
It seems the only recourse is to re-apply.
Does anyone know if I can simply reapply and they will use/reference the previously provided biometrics? It would be hugely inconvenient to have to schedule that again (3 month wait time).
Further I assume I will need to mail my passport directly to Uk immigration when I receive it back or would it go to VFS again? The re-application process is unclear.

Sorry for the clickbaity title, let me start by saying I’m not seeking legal advice or repercussion just need to let this out.
Let me start by saying, after a package was stolen off my porch I became very particular about keeping track of my mail. I have an account with usps that sends pictures of all my incoming mail before it is out for delivery. I am signed up for updates through text and email.I have a mailbox that closes and locks after my mail is delivered. I have a ring doorbell camera that records my mailbox In plain view, you get the picture.
Here’s where things get weird. I applied for an expedited passport. Spent hundreds of dollars. And was told to expect first my passport and then a few weeks later my birth certificate,which they took for the process.
The proper amount of wait time goes by, passport never arrives. 3 months later I call the passport office and after 4 hours on hold they tell me it was delivered by USPS over a month ago.
I immediately know that is not true, because of everything I listed above. Did not get any notifications, did not get any updates, not even a tracking number. I received mail the day they claim to have delivered it and my mailbox was locked when I got home.
So either some invisible person came and stole it, left all my other mail, then relocked it, or they lied to me.
This would be a manageable thing to just file a complaint and move on with, except for the fact that it started happening more and more.
Whole packages, the birth certificate I was supposed to receive, paychecks and letters from family, all mysteriously missing without ever being delivered, yet the mail carrier is reporting them as delivered to the post office.
I went in to complain and they blew me off like I am some kind of Karen who is trying to blame them for my mistake.
I told the manager I had proof, and that I have no choice but to take legal action and she laughed.
I’ve tried talking to family and friends and I get “ are you sure it wasn’t just stolen? Or “it’s not that big of a deal man”
I don’t get how I’m just supposed to accept that my extremely personal info is lost and I’m the one that has to jump through all the hoops and spend hours on hold, and be blamed for their mistakes. It’s just so disheartening.

I'm getting sworn in as US citizen tomorrow (May 31) and have a booked travel on July 1st. That gives me about 4 weeks to get my new US passport.

• On this website (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast.html) it says if my travel is within 9 weeks, I should call for an in-person appointment at passport agency within 14 calendar days
• On this website (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/contact-us/passports.html), it says only contact that number if my travel is within 14 calendar days

So what would people recommend I do:

I previously made the sneaker event day by day organizer as the "you can do 3 rounds of tasks without purchasing passes" and then I proceeded to ignore the organizer for myself after the first few days because I was willing to toss some money into raid passes to get things done quickly. (I will rebuild it for the next event)
As of today I have a few hours to wait until I am done with my 15th task set (all but 1 of the mushrooms near me were normal or special and since Tears of the Kingdom is destroying my sleep schedule, I didn't walk to my normal more populated area with more mushrooms) and at this point though I probably won't rush to complete the 16th step for multiple reasons, namely my set is complete.
Last week I ended up purchasing 2 Pikmin because I was getting impatient with 2 gaps, so I bought the Red and the White Pikmin to finish the collections. Ironically I didn't need to in the end but that's how they get you - with the FOMO, and having ... money you will pay... but I'm keeping the lights on in the office.
In the end though I hatched (including the purchases) 3 Red, 11 Yellow, 4 Blue, 5 Purple, 4 White, 7 Pink, and 2 Rock, so the randomness of the pulls are something I am very aware of. I also have an unhatched golden seedling currently and then the 1 I will get for finishing task 15, bringing me to 36 hatched + 2 unhatched. Out of the 36, 14 of them were rewards for finishing rounds, and then with the 2 I purchased, meaning I ended up with 20 random spins with Pikmin seedlings as rewards, out of some large number of spins.
I do really like the new event format but I agree a bit with the folks complaining that the way the first round starts with very short tasks is frustrating if you want to focus on movement - this isn't PokeMon Go after all, you should be able to just set it and forget it. I also have some more concerns about the next event since I have 0 hydrangeas - so I may feel the pressure to buy those and the new flowers, but I feel positive. I am also interested in the level 50 premium event pass and how that will work.
Anyway, let me know your numbers of Pikmin, thoughts on the event, and remember - stay hydrated and stretch
