2023.05.30 19:37 JonathanECG An experiment for 1 week cycles for a little under a month
As the title says, over May I did an experiment with Keto. I've done keto before over the years for months at a time, but I feel like my biggest hangup was trying to schedule it around holidays, birthdays, and trips I knew I wanted to eat a lot of different things. And maybe I got too scared by the "don't get knocked out of ketosis" and fell out of it. But recently, hearing more about using keto cycles to break plateaus, I was interested in trying it out as way to make my schedule more flexible. As an extreme stress test, I did keto for a month where I was on keto during the week and off keto during the weekend, combined with intermittent fasting to promote jump starting ketosis (my hunch anyway).
Eating schedule
Mon: 3pm-6pm Tues: 12pm-6pm Wed: 12pm-6pm Thur: 12pm-6pm Fri: 12pm-3pm Sat: Off Keto from 12pm after Sun: Off Keto until 6pm
The idea being during keto I would only eat in the early afternoon, and I would space my windows further away from my off keto windows
What I Ate
While on keto, I normally just ate my tried and true: keto breakfast for lunch. 3 slices of thick bacon, and 2 sausages + 2 eggs fried in the leftover bacon grease. With some fresh spinach picked from the garden. I generally kept my carb count very low (<10g) so I could splurge a bit more with more carby hot sauces or seasoning without having to think about it too much.
I would also alternate between having a bowl of Magic Spoon cereal (allulose) and Catalina Crunch cereal/granola (stevia/monkfruit extract)
For snacks I had cured meats, string cheese, and raspberries
I also would flavor water with vitamin Mio and a dash of potassium salt for electrolytes.
Off keto, all bets were off. One weekend was full of pizza and beer for our board game night.

All measurements were taken in the morning after showering at roughly the same time.

Results
For me, at least, I was happy to learn that even with an extreme cycle I was still able to put down 1-2 pounds a week. However, not seen by the data, my stomach would have a hell of a time adjusting each week and made my bathroom visits less than ideal. I think a two week cycle is probably a great compromise in my case to allow me to still be flexible with how I plan when to go on keto.
Hope this information helps someone out there!

2023.05.30 19:27 BadApprehensive5559 Translation of a French/English interview between Rise (BDS player) and LifeIsCool (French caster) talking about BDS, Moist, Oxygen, EU/NA offers, Spring Open, other regions, etc.
Surprising interview because Rise came to the stream of LIC to talk in Frenglish about the Spring Split and its debuts with the French team.
đ Rise came just after the Spring Open and before the Spring Cup.
This translation is long and separated into 5 parts:
- Part 1: Reasons for leaving Oxygen (Leaving Moist, NA/EU offers, problems with Oxygen)
- Part 2: Rise to BDS (Tryouts, Integration, Extra, Coaching staff, Riseâs role, Coms, Bootcamps)
- Part 3: Gamers 8 and Spring Open (GWB, Expectations, Spring Open, Pressure)
- Part 4: NA, EU, minor regions (EU level > NA level, NA Spring Open chokes, SSG, NA/EU top 5, SAM, Furia, MENA, OCE)
- Part 5: Other information (Banter on RL, last message for French viewers).
Link to the interview:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1824772972 (starts near: 38.30)
I would advise you to read Part 1 to understand why he chose to leave Oxygen for BDS + Part 4 to have his opinion about other regions.
This translation was possible thanks to
u/Kigotsujin that helped me to transcript this interview.
â Part 1: Reasons for leaving Oxygen (41:20)
- Choice of leaving Moist (48.35): After the Fall Split Joyo and Rise wanted to replace AztraL to improve their synergy. Heâs a good player, but he struggles mentally due to how he started his career. It was not AztraLâs fault, but they had other plans. Even if the initial plan was to stay with Joyo, all EU top players were already in a team. They could have picked 3rd players like Rezears, but gambling on a young player was too risky. Thatâs why he had to choose between staying in a "bad" environment or moving. And in the end, Rise chose to leave.
- Offers from NA/EU teams (49.40): Rise received so many offers from NA teams including V1, Furia, and SSG. Regarding EU teams, Joyo and Rise received an offer for Oxygen. Joyo didnât want to join them while Rise kept that offer if something goes wrong with NA teams. Indeed, Rise wanted to go to V1, but their deal collapsed at the last minute. As he didnât try with other teams, Oxygen was his last chance on the last day. He still has a lot of respect for Oxygen players but he never felt comfortable and It was not the right team for Rise. He admitted that this roster move was a mistake but he had one last trade window before Worlds. He doesnât want to be considered as a player always leaving his teams. He wanted to leave Oxygen for good reasons and will try his best to win Worlds with BDS.
- Lack of desire to win with Oxygen (1.05.20): He was friends with Oxygen and Moist players but Moist knew when they had to take the competition seriously. For example, in London, there were so many things that distracted Moist players from RL. Here, Vatira told them that they had to grind for the Major and stop playing other games. Another example was that Vatira brought his girlfriend so Rise and Joyo asked him to grind RL. Once again, when they were asked, Moist players knew that training for RL was important, and nobody got upset or annoyed. That was the main difference between Oxygen and Moist: Moist knew that they had to refocus to win, while Oxygen was lacking those calls to train again.
- Trusting problems with Oxygen (1.13.40): He always trusted his team and thought that they could beat everyone. However, thatâs something that he never felt with Oxygen. For example, when Moist lost against V1 in London, they had to go through a long loser run. After winning against Optic, Rise said that even if they lost early, he knew that they could beat everyone in this loser bracket. However, with Oxygen, he didnât have the same feeling because even if they would have defeated Vitality, he felt like they would still lose against Team Liquid. So Rise didnât have the same trust in Oxygen and Moist.
- Reasons for leaving Oxygen (41:27): He thinks that his ambitions were different from the roster. Indeed, they kept having the same issues throughout the Winter split and they didnât improve. He realized that when he talked to Alpha54 after losing against Vitality during the Major. In fact, Vitality focused on one of Oxygenâs issues and they won. Rise was annoyed because they didnât work on anything + the coms were pretty bad + they kept playing the same way without improving. Still, he added that it was not his tm8sâ fault, Rise just had another point of view.
- Oxygenâs problem (43.32): The situation was more complicated because they had different ambitions + they kept having the same problems. He even thinks that these issues could have been easily resolved, but the team didnât want to question themselves because they just wanted to play matches.
- Leaving Oxygen (EU top 3) for BDS (EU top 9)(44:29): It was not that coin flip as people could think because theyâre strong players. MonkeyMoon is the best player in the World, and Seikoo was the last season's MVP. In addition, yes theyâre strong, but they want to win like Rise more than anything. For example, they always boot camp for regionals. Of course, people asked him: "Why would you leave a team that's going to Worlds ?". And Rise answered that he doesnât want to qualify for Worlds, he wants to win, and thatâs his ambition.
- Peopleâs opinion on Rise joining BDS (48:20): As expected, people said that he was dumb for leaving his team after each split but Rise always had reasons for each roster move.
â Part 2: Rise to BDS (46:03)
- BDS problem before Rise (1:17:42): After his arrival, he noticed what was the problem with the old roster. Indeed, before the GWB, they were beating everyone in scrims like the "old BDS". He still talks a lot to Vatira, and before each minor, they called together. Vatira told him that before each split, BDS would come back because they were destroying KC in scrims. Thatâs why Rise and Vatira were confident that BDS would bounce back. But during the actual tournaments, BDS looked scared to play, and thatâs what happened again during the GWB. They were winning scrims but didnât win any 3s matches. The problem was not pressure, in fact, the real problem was that Seikoo and Monkey Moon had too much respect for other teams so they ended up being scared of playing. For Rise, Itâs the worst mindset when youâre going into a series because youâll lose your confidence. You have to think that youâre better than your opponents, and thatâs what Rise told them to regain confidence.
- Tryouts with BDS (46:03): He tried out with several teams but he saw potential with BDS. They wanted to constantly play their best, and individually, each player is strong. For him, BDS can qualify for Worlds and perform.
- Integration to BDS (47:07): Itâs hard because theyâre French and he canât understand everything as they speak pretty fast. But still, they integrated Rise and didnât leave him alone so they are doing a good job.
- Replacing Extra (52.01): Extra is a nice guy + a good player. He always comes to BDS boot camps [heâs the BDS assistant coach]. Everyone knows that Extra wasnât the problem and the team only needed a change. He also added that heâs not better than any BDS player and could have replaced anyone on the roster. Their issue was more that, after winning Worlds, their ambition faded away, so they needed a change to bring a new mentality.
- Differences between Rise and Extraâs play style (54:31): Rise is much more aggressive and creative compared to Extra which has a disciplined play style. In addition, BDS was quite defensive before and they were struggling against some teams. So Rise brought a bit more mechanics allowing to create chances.
- BDS coaching staff (Mew and Extra) (1.32.26): Both of them complete each other very well. On one hand, Mew doesnât know much about RL (gameplay, mechanics) but heâs good for mental stuff. On the other hand, Extra can advise on gameplay problems. And there are not that many differences with his previous coaches except that theyâre more "strict".
- Riseâs role in BDS (56:05): His playstyle is similar to Itachiâs because he controls the midfield. In general, he takes boosts, controls the mid, and does the bumps for his team.
- French or English coms? (1:01:45): He asked Mew when he joined BDS in which language they will have to speak for coms. And surprisingly, Seikoo prefers English coms while Monkey Moon doesnât care. Therefore, in everyday life, they can speak French and English, but for coms, they only speak in English.
- Bootcamps (1:02:40): Rise lives in Portugal and every 2 weeks, he goes to Geneva for 8 days of boot camp. Heâs never been to a team that boot camp that much. Usually, you just play the regional at home, and you boot camp only for Majors. Rise likes boot camps because heâs with his team and his tm8s can become his friends. For him, the most important thing is to have mutual respect between tm8s to have the same goal.
[French teams tend to boot camp for every minor now, curious to see if it will change for other teams too]

2023.05.30 19:23 LooseLipsSinkShips21 Drag Race - REVERSED: Season 2: Episode 3 - Country Queens
2023.05.30 19:17 TeaAced [Online][5e][EST/PST][LGBTQ+] Two experienced players looking for a campaign!
We recently left a long term campaign and we were hoping to join a new campaign. We have two characters we both would love to play who are a set of royal siblings but we are also okay with playing new characters to fit your world.
A little about me, OP, I have been playing D&D for two years and half of the time I know what I am doing. I enjoy storybased stories instead of episodic stories so if you give me a goal to follow or an end point to meet I will do my damnedest to get there! I love playing casters but I can play other classes too, just never paladin. I am not sure why I have a grudge against Paladins but I do. Maybe a paladin killed me in a past life /j /lh.
Now a little about my friend, She goes by Lana. We have known each other for about 6 months and we both met through the campaign we just left. She's been playing D&D for about 4 years and also enjoys spellcasters but in the duo we made that we hope to play is going to be playing a melee character. She enjoys playing bards but she isnt the type to seduce the dragon.
Now onto our actual characters we want to play. We want to play a set of royal siblings where the older sibling is not of royal descent but was married into the royal family by her mother marrying into the royal family. At the time this character, Ayda, is 3. A year later a younger sister, Zentha, comes along and is of blood to the royal family, being a sorcerer as the royal blood line had this magic. As they grow older Ayda is trained to become a guard to protect her younger sister Zentha from harm. Zentha studied to become a future reigning monarch no matter how bored of it she was and didn't want to be doing it. She tended to be more rebelious and sneak out, Ayda being required to retrieve her before she got into any trouble, got caught, or got hurt. When the sisters were young they were close but as they grew older Ayda grew resentful of Zentha. We can change anything about their backstory to make it fit better into the world they will be in but we would still prefer the basic concepts to be the same.
Again we are fully okay with also creating new characters but we would love to play with these characters too. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a wonderful day!

2023.05.30 19:17 ZamDriver_ Guidance on consumer debt? Cross posted
Iâll get straight to the point. I am a 27F and Iâm in what feels like a shit load of debt and looking for some outside perspectives on the most logical next move. I am engaged getting married this fall and will include relevant spouse financial info. Excuse format as I am on mobile.
Income: $82,500 10% to 401k 2% stock After benefits and the above, take home is $1800 biweekly
Second job @ $17/hr 6-8 hours a week now increase to 20 hours a week during peak season in winter
Spouse makes $50k annual at full time job and $10-15k at second job. No debts aside from a recent 36 month personal loan of $25k at 8%. $800 monthly payment. Take home is $1400 biweekly from full time job, other job is seasonal with no income in summer months
Credit cards: $20k Cap One - ~$650 min payment - 29.99 % APR ($20k limit)
$12k Wells Fargo - ~$300 min payment - 15% APR ($15k limit)
$1800 Discover - $40 min payment - 0% APR until December 2023 ($2k limit)
Loans: $9,800 Best Egg - $520 monthly payment - 11.15 % APR (Feb 2025 pay off)
Car loan $6200 left - $150 monthly payment - will be paid off in 2026 - pay $100 month for insurance. Selling is not an option
~$70k in federal student loans (avg 4%) $12k private student loans (8%)
Other relevant info: Wedding is paid for Currently in school working on MBA reimbursed by company
Paying $130/month in medical debt, $600 left
Rent is $1575 total we split 50/50 + utilities/etc totals $2200 a month
I contribute $2k annual to Roth IRA currently sitting at $30k
Save $70/week to rainy day but I pull my Roth money from her each year I currently have $3k saved. Fiancé has $10k rainy day.
Iâve cancelled all frivolous expenses. We have the opportunity to move in with parents next year (summer) and with all bills and rent that should save us $2200 monthly minimum. With all my payments and expenses I use nearly $3500 of my $3600 monthly income not including second job income (starting this week)
Getting $5900 net bonus next week planned on paying off medical debt then throwing at capital one.
Thoughts? I will likely get a $8-10k raise by mid 2024 and fiancé will be getting $5-10 k raise this summer.
Edit to add I would love to have a child in 2025 but Iâm worried about how to handle it all. Spouses parents are significantly older and we want to have kids before theyâre too old. We would like to wait to buy a house until we have most of this under control and understand that means upwards of 5+ years

2023.05.30 19:15 Skafflock Soldier Boy doesn't explode like any sort of nuke (The Boys)
Like, he produces radiation, but comparing the actual blast to any real nuclear device is a
very big stretch.
Firstly let's look at what sort of destruction SB is actually putting out. We get plenty of shots throughout the show that we can use, but the generally-held peak of his destructive output is in the finale of season 3. Unfortunately for me the voices won't stop until I've addressed all of them so that's what I'm going to do.
In episode four Soldier Boy is woken up from containment and does a little bit of trolling,
immediately releasing a blast that launches Kimiko through a brick wall and dents another one. So far so meh.
His next blast is a PTSD-triggered one that
eradicates the guy right in front of it and subjects the building behind him to a
microscopic degree of trolling.
Next comes an
atomic-scale instance of trolling that levells but doesn't completely destroy a cottage and produces a noticeable but not dangerous shockwave from hundreds of metres away (going by the time taken to reach Hughie and Annie).
At Herogasm Soldier Boy does a
sub-atomic amount of trolling and absolutely flattens any section of a large building that is actually struck by his blast.
And finally we have The Big One in the show's finale,
Soldier Boy does an amount of trolling so small and insubstantial that merely observing it causes a change in how it behaves.
This, for contrast, is the W54. It is the single smallest nuclear weapon I was able to find via my limited research on the internet. Its yield varied quite a bit, but on the absolute lowest end was estimated as equivalent to roughly ten metric tons of TNT. This lower-end yield would be produced by at most
1.1 critical masses of plutonium-239, for reference.
Now to give you some actual scale for that,
this is the MOAB- colloquially known as "The Mother of All Bombs". It's aptly named, as one of the highest-yield conventional explosive devices ever made, with an explosive power roughly comparable to
11 metric tons of TNT. For a sense of scale in the linked video detailing its test explosion, the bomb itself is thirty feet long.
Now according to
this extremely convenient calculator, a nuclear device with a yield of 11 tons of TNT would generate an explosion powerful enough to, at a radius of 48.4 metres, destroy or severely damage heavily built concrete structures- producing 20psi of overpressure in doing so. Obviously fatalities are almost 100% within this radius, not including radiation.
So on the lowest reasonable end, this is what Soldier Boy is competing with for the power of his blasts. The lowest yield of the weakest nuke, which is fucking 100 times weaker than the highest yield mind, is generating enough force to flatten concrete walls within almost 1.6 blue whale body lenghts.
How does he measure up?
Like, not very well.
Here's the blast again, watch carefully as you see it expand. You can probably notice that even at its widest, just after its expansion stops and before it starts to recede, the explosion is more or less comparable in width to Vought Tower. Slightly wider, you could say, but certainly not by any stretch. Now we're never given a precise width for Vought Tower in the show as far as I'm aware...
...But we don't need one. Being the good little researcher I am, I was able to find out that like many things in fiction, Vought Tower is based on reality. Or rather
its base is. Using the Roy Thompson Hall as the bottom of the building, the show makes it into a skyscraper by digitally editing the rest of it on top. And skyscrapers, because of the ever-oppressive tyrant that is mathematics and gravity, are generally never thicker than at their base.
Which means we have figures for the exact width of the tower's ass-end. 24.3 metres at the thickest.
Allowing for an extra 25% for the blast, this gives us a diameter of 30.4 metres and a
radius of 15.2. Which is less than 1/3 the 48.4 metre radius of the W54.
Returning to nukemap, a 0.00034 kiloton yield would be sufficient to generate a blast of this intensity (either destroying concrete structures completely or severely damaging them) at a radius of 15.2 metres. This is
0.34 tons of TNT, or just over 3% the destructive yield of the W54's lowest end estimate.
For those of you who hate maths too much to read all that even for my winning personality, I'll surmise;
- An 11-ton nuke = one of if not the weakest in history
- Soldier Boy's blast = a 0.34-ton nuke in terms of actual destructive power
- We don't call anything ever "X level" if it's 30x weaker than the weakest example of X, so saying Soldier Boy is nuking people as anything but hyperbole is inaccurate
tl;dr- New fear of imminent nuclear armageddon unlocked

2023.05.30 19:14 Xethernety Kraken Robotics Reports Q1 2023 Financial Results with 38% Year-over-Year Revenue Growth
PNG.VN (ASK @ 0.55)
Management Reiterates F2023 Guidance of $66-78 Million in Revenue - and $12-17 Million in Adjusted EBITDA
Kraken Robotics Inc., announced it has filed financial results for the quarter
- ended March 31, 2023 (âQ1 2023â).
"With more than $120 million of large contract wins since the beginning of 2022, we are seeing an acceleration in end market demand driven mainly by a heightened geopolitical focus on maritime security and growth in offshore renewable energy,"
- said President and CEO Greg Reid.
âWe have started 2023 on solid footing.
Q1 is seasonally our slowest quarter, and we expect to see accelerating results throughout the year driven by
defense contracts in hand and normal ramping of activity in our services business focused on offshore wind.â
Q1 2023 Financial Highlights - Total revenue was $7.6 million versus $5.5 million for the quarter ending March 31, 2022 (âQ1 2022â), a 38% increase.
- Products revenue was $5.3 million compared to $3.7 million in Q1 2022, a 43% increase, which was driven by a record number of synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) being delivered, work on our large subsea battery order received in Q4 2022 as well as production of a KATFISHâą high-speed towed synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) system.
- Services revenue increased 26% to $2.3 million over Q1 2022, driven by completion of a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) contract utilizing our KATFISH system.
- Gross margins in Q1 2023 were 59.4% as compared to 32.9% in Q1 2022 and increased due to a change in product and project mix.
- Adjusted EBITDA1 for the quarter was $0.9 million compared to an Adjusted EBITDA loss of $0.4 million in the comparable quarter. The impact was due to higher revenue and improved gross margins.
- Net loss in the quarter was $1.3 million, compared to net loss of $2.6 million in Q1 2022.
- Cash balance at March 31, 2023 was $4.0 million. Subsequent to the quarter, payments on large projects totalling over $8.0 million were received.
- Total assets were $65.2 million at March 31, 2023, compared to $63.9 million at March 31, 2022.
- At March 31, 2023, Kraken had $13.8 million in previously awarded non-repayable funding to draw upon from government agencies and project partners for research and development. Of this, $2.2 million of cash has been received for contracts to be completed.
Q1 2023 Operational Highlights Product Business - During the quarter, Kraken announced $2.8 million in SAS purchase orders from defence customers. These systems will be integrated to Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for use in minehunting and security applications.
- January 10, 2023: Appointed David Shea to Chief Technology Officer.
Service Business - Q1 is seasonally the slowest quarter for our Services business given offshore weather conditions in our main operating geographies.
- During Q1, Kraken completed a 200-kilometer KATFISH seabed survey in coastal waters of a large Asia Pacific country.
- During Q1, Kraken completed several smaller sub-seabed services jobs (cable depth of burial and boulder detection) for offshore wind projects.
Operational Highlights Subsequent to End of Q1 2023 Outlook for 2023 Kraken Robotics reiterates its financial guidance provided on May 1, 2023.
For fiscal 2023, we expect revenue to be in the $66 - $78 million range and adjusted EBITDA in the $12 - $17 million range.
The mid-point of our guidance range ($72 million in revenue and $14.5 million in EBITDA) implies revenue growth of 76% over 2022 and adjusted EBITDA growth of 275%.
Capex in 2023 is expected to be $5-$6 million.
Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted EBITDA Margin The Company believes that, in addition to conventional measures prepared in accordance with IFRS, Adjusted EBITDA is useful to securities analysts, investors and other interested parties in evaluating operating performance by presenting the results of the Company on a basis which excludes the impact of certain non-operational items which enables the primary readers of the MD&A to evaluate the results of the Company such that it was operating without certain non-cash and non-recurring items.
Adjusted EBITDA is calculated as earnings before interest expense, interest income, income taxes, depreciation and amortization, stock-based compensation expense and non-recurring impact transactions, if any. Adjusted EBITDA Margin is defined at Adjusted EBITDA divided by Total Revenue.

âThe Listâ encourages the election of a Democratic Supermajority in the US Senate in 2022. This is the best chance we will have to create a Democratic Supermajority in both Chambers of Congress for the remainder of this decade. This midterm could be a devastating loss for the democrats if good patriots ignore this election. If Americans of good conscience band together instead, we could could begin the exile of the Republican party from power, not for years, but for decades to come.
âThe Listâ is a set of suggestions about where to focus collective activism today.
The election of Democratic Supermajorities to both chambers of the US Congress is the best outcome we can strive towards in the 2022 Midterm Election for many reasons. Among them: breaking the decade of gridlock in Congress, supporting President Bidenâs agenda, and his re-election in 2024. My personal favorite is that this could commence the decades-long political banishment of the GOP from power, which the Republican Party so richly deserves.
The Republican party has proved itself treasonous on many levels. They are traitors to Humanity by supporting Trump. Traitors to the Nation for supporting Putin. Traitors to the government and betrayers of the constitution through their apologies for the 1/6/21 insurrection. To safeguard our country and the world, we must block the Republicans from power at the ballot box, at all levels of government, for at least a generation.
Political game playing may be inevitable among humans. Change the numbers, and then change the rules, if not the game. Cynical refusal to play at this time in history cedes power to NAZIs manipulated by Active Measures. That is a surrender to crypto fascism, not radical thinking, mere cynicism, or hipsterism.
In 2022, Patriots must unify to crush the Republican Party at the ballot box. We can defeat them in every State, at every level. We need the biggest turnout at the voting booth of any Midterm ever. We need to raise more money for candidates and organizations than we did during the entire 2020 campaign season if we are to accomplish this. We need to do this in the next six months.
This is what a âBlue Tsunamiâ REALLY looks like.
Electing a Democratic Supermajority in Congress is our hope for the future and retribution for Americaâs enemies. â22 Blue in 2022â is a roadmap to the beginning of that journey. â22 Blue in 2022â is our war plan. â22 Blue in 2022â is our electoral battle cry. â22 Blue in 2022â is a way forward out of gridlock, a way to non-violently thwart those who would poison the body politic with their hate.
If we donât try this hard in 2022, Trump will go unpunished and metastasize by 2024.
Resist In Power, my sisters, my brothers, and my others.
Resist Together, and elect a Congressional Supermajority in 2022!

2023.05.30 18:56 Nufftali Whatâs the Endgame?
I am obsessed with this brilliant piece of telly. But this season is a weekly frustration that knows no end đ. I am not seeing the big picture, because 6 episodes in and weâve covered - what, 4 or 5 days from s01 finale? Moreover, every episodeâs credits have me screeching at the screen for more and am getting exhausted đ©, a brutha can be toyed with only so much.

2023.05.30 18:56 PassportSituation spinoff about Mike Barnes running his furniture store?
I've always thouyht this was a bit unexplored in Cobra Kai seasons 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
How cool would it be to have a flashback episode in season 6? I predict somethibg like yhis:
Mike Barnes is passed out drunk on the floor. He's in a bar in a really nice part of town. He wakes up for a moment and what does he see? A piece of bespoke furniture. The screen does a kind of water wipe as we drift into Mike Barnes'memory. I'm thinking we only need to dedicate one episode to this.
The year is 2005. Mike Barnes is selling a customer some furniture. They are really happy with their purchase. Everything in his life is really great including a wife.
Every night he keeps hearing this noise when he tries to sleep 'AITS, AITS, AITS'
Mike: NO PLEASE STOP! MIKES WJFE: WhatsApp wrong baby? Again? Mike: yeah Mike's wife: you just have to....where are you going? Mike puts some.clothes o Mike: to getsome air
The episode would mostly be constructed like this, with Mike working jThe furniture store by day and having nightmares abojt karate bynight. One time he sleepwalks and in his head he is riding a horse wearing a cobra kai gi.
What do you guys think? I know it needs some work but it's just a little idea for now. I'm thinking the flashback episode could ultimately leads to a spinoff series about Mike and his store

2023.05.30 18:50 obeliskposture Have any of the resident radfems read Engels' "Origins of the Family, Private Property, and the State"?
It's well worth
a read, though I'm not sure exactly how well the late nineteenth-century anthropology holds up today. (Maybe somebody more knowledgeable than me can weigh in.)
The long and short of it: Engels examines how the structure of the family in a given society is contingent upon it economic and technological conditions, considered in terms of linear stages of development from "savagery" to "civilization." Group marriage, elective pair bonds, and matrilineality are typical of "primitive" societies, while ones that develop large-scale agriculture and specialized crafts tend towards patrilineality, driven by concerns over property rights:
We now leave America, the classic soil of the pairing family. No sign allows us to conclude that a higher form of family developed here, or that there was ever permanent monogamy anywhere in America prior to its discovery and conquest. But not so in the Old World.
Here the domestication of animals and the breeding of herds had developed a hitherto unsuspected source of wealth and created entirely new social relations. Up to the lower stage of barbarism, permanent wealth had consisted almost solely of house, clothing, crude ornaments and the tools for obtaining and preparing food â boat, weapons, and domestic utensils of the simplest kind. Food had to be won afresh day by day. Now, with their herds of horses, camels, asses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, the advancing pastoral peoplesâthe Semites on the Euphrates and the Tigris, and the Aryans in the Indian country of the Five Streams (Punjab), in the Ganges region, and in the steppes then much more abundantly watered of the Oxus and the Jaxartesâhad acquired property which only needed supervision and the rudest care to reproduce itself in steadily increasing quantities and to supply the most abundant food in the form of milk and meat. All former means of procuring food now receded into the background; hunting, formerly a necessity, now became a luxury.
But to whom did this new wealth belong? Originally to the gens, without a doubt. Private property in herds must have already started at an early period, however. It is difficult to say whether the author of the so-called first book of Moses regarded the patriarch Abraham as the owner of his herds in his own right as head of a family community or by right of his position as actual hereditary head of a gens. What is certain is that we must not think of him as a property owner in the modern sense of the word. And it is also certain that at the threshold of authentic history we already find the herds everywhere separately owned by heads of families, as are the artistic products of barbarismâmetal implements, luxury articles and, finally, the human cattleâthe slaves.
For now slavery had also been invented. To the barbarian of the lower stage, a slave was valueless. Hence the treatment of defeated enemies by the American Indians was quite different from that at a higher stage. The men were killed or adopted as brothers into the tribe of the victors; the women were taken as wives or otherwise adopted with their surviving children. At this stage human labor-power still does not produce any considerable surplus over and above its maintenance costs. That was no longer the case after the introduction of cattle-breeding, metalworking, weaving and, lastly, agriculture. just as the wives whom it had formerly been so easy to obtain had now acquired an exchange value and were bought, so also with the forces of labor, particularly since the herds had definitely become family possessions. The family did not multiply so rapidly as the cattle. More people were needed to look after them; for this purpose use could be made of the enemies captured in war, who could also be bred just as easily as the cattle themselves.
Once it had passed into the private possession of families and there rapidly begun to augment, this wealth dealt a severe blow to the society founded on pairing marriage and the matriarchal gens. Pairing marriage had brought a new element into the family. By the side of the natural mother of the child it placed its natural and attested father, with a better warrant of paternity, probably, than that of many a âfatherâ today. According to the division of labor within the family at that time, it was the manâs part to obtain food and the instruments of labor necessary for the purpose. He therefore also owned the instruments of labor, and in the event of husband and wife separating, he took them with him, just as she retained her household goods. Therefore, according to the social custom of the time, the man was also the owner of the new source of subsistence, the cattle, and later of the new instruments of labor, the slaves. But according to the custom of the same society, his children could not inherit from him. For as regards inheritance, the position was as follows:
At first, according to mother-rightâso long, therefore, as descent was reckoned only in the female lineâand according to the original custom of inheritance within the gens, the gentile relatives inherited from a deceased fellow member of their gens. His property had to remain within the gens. His effects being insignificant, they probably always passed in practice to his nearest gentile relationsâthat is, to his blood relations on the mother's side. The children of the dead man, however, did not belong to his gens, but to that of their mother; it was from her that they inherited, at first conjointly with her other blood relations, later perhaps with rights of priority; they could not inherit from their father, because they did not belong to his gens, within which his property had to remain. When the owner of the herds died, therefore, his herds would go first to his brothers and sisters and to his sisterâs children, or to the issue of his motherâs sisters. But his own children were disinherited.
Thus, on the one hand, in proportion as wealth increased, it made the manâs position in the family more important than the womanâs, and on the other hand created an impulse to exploit this strengthened position in order to overthrow, in favor of his children, the traditional order of inheritance. This, however, was impossible so long as descent was reckoned according to mother-right. Mother-right, therefore, had to be overthrown, and overthrown it was. This was by no means so difficult as it looks to us today. For this revolutionâone of the most decisive ever experienced by humanityâcould take place without disturbing a single one of the living members of a gens. All could remain as they were. A simple decree sufficed that in the future the offspring of the male members should remain within the gens, but that of the female should be excluded by being transferred to the gens of their father. The reckoning of descent in the female line and the matriarchal law of inheritance were thereby overthrown, and the male line of descent and the paternal law of inheritance were substituted for them. As to how and when this revolution took place among civilized peoples, we have no knowledge. It falls entirely within prehistoric times. But that it did take place is more than sufficiently proved by the abundant traces of mother-right which have been collected, particularly by Bachofen. How easily it is accomplished can be seen in a whole series of American Indian tribes, where it has only recently taken place and is still taking place under the influence, partly of increasing wealth and a changed mode of life (transference from forest to prairie), and partly of the moral pressure of civilization and missionaries. Of eight Missouri tribes, six observe the male line of descent and inheritance, two still observe the female. Among the Shawnees, Miamis and Delawares the custom has grown up of giving the children a gentile name of their father's gens in order to transfer them into it, thus enabling them to inherit from him. (...)
The overthrow of mother-right was the world historical defeat of the female sex. The man took command in the home also; the woman was degraded and reduced to servitude, she became the slave of his lust and a mere instrument for the production of children. This degraded position of the woman, especially conspicuous among the Greeks of the heroic and still more of the classical age, has gradually been palliated and glozed over, and sometimes clothed in a milder form; in no sense has it been abolished.
The short version of the conclusion: if the tangling up of property relations, economic brass tacks, reproduction, and romantic/sexual love has warped relations between the sexes, then the passage from capitalism into socialism and communism will allow men and women to stand on more equal footing. There's no point in smashing any patriarchy because there's no patriarchy to smash: just a period of historical development that needs to be brought to its conclusion and sublated by the next phase.
In any case, therefore, the position of men will be very much altered. But the position of women, of all women, also undergoes significant change. With the transfer of the means of production into common ownership, the single family ceases to be the economic unit of society. Private housekeeping is transformed into a social industry. The care and education of the children becomes a public affair; society looks after all children alike, whether they are legitimate or not. This removes all the anxiety about the âconsequences,â which today is the most essential socialâmoral as well as economicâfactor that prevents a girl from giving herself completely to the man she loves. Will not that suffice to bring about the gradual growth of unconstrained sexual intercourse and with it a more tolerant public opinion in regard to a maidenâs honor and a womanâs shame? And, finally, have we not seen that in the modern world monogamy and prostitution are indeed contradictions, but inseparable contradictions, poles of the same state of society? Can prostitution disappear without dragging monogamy with it into the abyss?
Again, short answer: yes. Engels maintains that the revolution won't deliver us all unto polyamory, but to happy and uncoerced monogamy:
Full freedom of marriage can therefore only be generally established when the abolition of capitalist production and of the property relations created by it has removed all the accompanying economic considerations which still exert such a powerful influence on the choice of a marriage partner. For then there is no other motive left except mutual inclination.
I wonder.
Been reading this lately. Thought I'd share some bits as conversation startersâand as a rebuff to the latest episode of "nobody duz Marxism no more."

2023.05.30 18:44 1StepBelowExcellence New England [Trip Report]
My fiancé and I took advantage of the Memorial Day weekend by going to Lake Compounce and Six Flags New England!
We started our adventure at LC on Saturday. The main reason for this trip was to ride Boulder Dash, as I've heard so many good things about it and have been really trying to get to it for a while now. We started with Zoomerang, their boomerang which I thought "wasn't bad" compared to some others. Ranked at #104. We then rode Phobia Phear Coaster. I didn't realize that the restraints were different than Tempesto (#113) so going into it, I was dreading the restraint situation and explaining to my fiancé to prepare for it. I was very happy to see that PPC didn't have the death trap restraints. The lap-bar only made the hangtime a lot cooler and more comfortable than Tempesto. Ranked it at #88.
Now it was finally time to experience Boulder Dash!
We got a ride in the very back row and it was pretty rough and had a lot of jackhammering. I thought that a few laterals were intense and the turnaround was one of the best laterals I've ever experienced actually. Unfortunately aside from a couple good moments, I felt like the airtime was extremely weak. Based on reviews I've watched/read, I was really looking forward to airtime and I'm a bigger fan of airtime than laterals as well. There was one intense ejector air moment that I remember and a few other decent pops but nothing really made me say "wow". I perused this sub after the first ride thinking maybe I needed to try a different seat. At this point, my fiancé opted out since the jackhammering gave her a bad headache. I got a ride in the second to last row so I had a non-wheel seat (had to awkwardly tell a GP guy that was trying to let me go with another single rider in the very back "I'm waiting for a non-wheel seat"). The jackhammering wasn't "as" bad but was still bad, but a little bit better of a ride than the very back. Still not much good airtime that you would expect from a back car ride. I finally gave it one more shot on the front row. I think to get the best experience, the front's definitely needed since you really get the true terrain experience. I still came away thinking the coaster was overrated. That's not to say it's bad, but with all the awards and raving I've seen about it, I was expecting it to be in my top 10 at least and my fav or at least top 3 woodie. It's at my #29 spot, so it's still a great coaster! But for woodies, I have Phoenix, Ghostrider, El Toro, Mystic Timbers, and the Beast all ahead of it.
Sunday, we went to Six Flags NE. Arriving to the park sort of reminded me of Six Flags Darien Lake where you just have a lot of farmland/residential and then BOOM, there's the Massachusetts line and the park entrance 100ft later. I am glad that the park was not much like SFDL though! We started with a ride on Batman TDK which we enjoyed as you can't go wrong with a B&M! Thought it was one of the better B&M floorless that I have ridden. We then rode Joker which was my third S&S Free Spin. I preferred this one over Tumbili and SFGAdv's Joker - not sure how since it's the same ride but I'll take it! We were going to ride Riddler but opted to wait until later to not potentially ruin the day early with an SLC. Then came the best coaster of the trip to much of my surprise - Wicked Cyclone. Guys, I seriously can't say enough good things about this coaster. On paper and watching it from the queue, I figured it would be good but I didn't realize how EPIC it would be. It truly reminded me of a mini SteVe with how good the airtime was. I checked out some other posts about this coaster and it would seem that it's running a lot faster this season because on all of my rides, it was hauling, especially at night. I got to ride it 4 total times and it became my #2 coaster overall. I expected it to be on par with TT (was my #5, now #6) but it blew TT out of the water. Not quite SteVe level but this thing is definitely underrated.
We then rode Pandemonium which we thought was a pretty fun spinning wild mouse. I did a solo ride on their boomerang Flashback and hated it, worse than Zoomerang IMO. We waited FOREVER for Thunderbolt even though the line wasn't very long. They were running one-train ops there which was a tad annoying. It was an OK ride, had a few "'oh we might get airtime here' and then didn't actually get airtime" moments. We made our way back to Superman which was a really amazing ride! I felt like this one compared to Boulder Dash actually deserved the awards that it got back when it had first come out. Have it ranked at #19. We rode the Gotham City Wild Mouse which was one of the worst rides I've ever ridden. Wild Mice are never really exciting but this one HURTS. We have a couple bruises from it. It's ranked 197/199 for me, worse than Time Warp, but better than Wilde Beast and Mind Eraser @ Six Flags America (because those two had very uniquely terrible experiences in terms of pain/etc.). We did Catwoman's Whip which I thought would go two laps like the sister coaster at SFGAdv but only went one lap. It was OK, actually less painful than the one at SFGAdv which was a plus. I finished the day with Riddler Revenge - fiancé opted out which I can't say I blame her for! It wasn't the worst SLC I've ridden (looking at you Mind Eraser SFA) but it also wasn't good, as expected. At least it had the vest restraints. #169.
Now for the ugly part of SFNE - Aside from Wicked Cyclone and Superman, the ops were pretty awful when there was a line. The one-train ops on Thunderbolt was a time sink. Riddler was the worst offender as the main line probably would have taken hours. The dispatches were something like 3-4 minutes but since my fiancé opted out, I got to use the single rider line to "only" wait about 20 minutes (Yep, Flash Pass was still waiting this long too which I would have been upset about if I were them spending money to wait that long). I didn't understand that the Gotham City wild mouse could only take up to 2 adults per ride, therefore most of the cars had 1-2 people instead of 2-4. Flashback only had a short queue, but the dispatches were like 5 minutes. We had short queues for Joker and Batman, and basically no queue for Catwoman's Whip so these didn't matter. The park was busy as preferred was into overflow and general looked packed, although it seemed to me that compared to other parks, people were doing a lot more flat rides/family rides/waterpark in comparison to the coasters. Maybe the number of coasters also helps spread people out. But in cases where the park is very busy and people are riding a lot of coasters, I have a feeling the operations would be extremely frustrating.
All in all, a trip that had somewhat of a letdown with Boulder Dash but led me to my surprise #2 favorite now, Wicked Cyclone!

2023.05.30 18:38 AyItsLeo We're open to suggestion!
Season 4 is fast approaching, and we've got lots of ideas (new and old) to share with you once we sit down and get episodes on disk.
But one of the things
monetaryabyss and I enjoy is feedback. We always want to improve the show, and sometimes when you're deep in it, you can overlook some pretty obvious things.
So with that in mind, do you have an idea for the show? Think something would be more entertaining another way? Something should be shorter, longer? We're all ears, and now's the time to make changes!

2023.05.30 18:31 dismustbetheplace What was your first experience with Season 5, episode 1?
I remember thinking, "Wow, this is a really bad show!" when Dawn first appeared. Even though I enjoyed Buffy tremendously up until that point. I remember the disappointment. Because I have seen quite a few shows before that where one of the characters simply disappears from the screen and plot without explanation never to be mentioned again. No respect for the show's audience whatsoever. So, even though introducing the idea that Buffy had a sister after 4 seasons was quite new, to me it felt the same. As in, Buffy's writers and producers think that its viewers are complete morons and that we will disregard this unfortunate mishap. "Yeah, Buffy always had a sister! We're sorry/not sorry to have never mentioned her before." It was a huge sigh of relief when they finally explained Dawn, but I will never forget that crushing disappointment.

2023.05.30 18:27 Bballopinion One bad series doesn't mean you don't offer JB the supermax
Listen, Jaylen shit the bed in the Miami Heat series. But what superstar hasn't played horribly in a series aside from maybe Michael Jordan?
Did you think that LeBron wouldn't deserve the supermax after averaging 17 points against the Mavs in the 2011 FINALS? No.
The reality is Jaylen still played well in the first and second rounds, and even with how horrible he was in the ECF, he averaged 22.7 PTS, 5.6 REB, and 3.4 AST on 49.6% shooting from the field. He just came off an All-NBA season averaging 26.6 PTS, 6.9 REB, and 3.5 AST on 49.1% shooting from the field. He's still just 26!
Stop the Trade JB talk.

2023.05.30 18:19 HokageEzio A great reminder on the various dreams of the Straw Hats, and some very solid anime filler content with an ever increasing production quality - Manga reader's first impressions on the anime - Zou Saga
| Summary/TL;DR I occasionally see the criticism pop up that since the timeskip, many of the Straw Hats dreams have gone somewhat underdeveloped unless it is one of the ones that is constantly developed every arc (Luffy becoming Pirate King, Zoro becoming the World's Strongest Swordsman, etc.). I feel like the Zou Arc really fights back against that criticism. Even while being the least controversial post time skip arc (and an arc that was always beloved since it came out), I feel like it's still a little underappreciated how many great endgame Straw Hat moments were had in this arc in reference to the development of their dreams. I also think the uptick of the anime's quality continues to show itself more and more, with great anime filler and an even better movie in Film: Gold. Zou Saga Foreword I've been reading the manga weekly since Zou, but I've been trying to watch every piece of animated One Piece content before catching up to see how the anime has developed over time. My interest in how the current anime is being used and incorporating a bunch of stuff that isn't in the manga with a much higher quality level made me want to watch weekly, but I didn't want to just jump into the current anime. So I'm watching everything; movies, filler, specials, basically anything that's on MyAnimeList and that I can find online. Been an enjoyable experience, which you can read about in the previous threads: Very quick watch for Zou, but some solid content there. Also if anybody is curious why this is only about Zou it's because I'm using the official list from Library of Ohara based on Shueisha's official breakdown. I like this breakout more because stuff like the Reverie gets included in one big Whole Cake Island arc with the countries coming together at the beginning and meeting at the end, which makes sense to me (similar to how the in between Acts in Wano are still part of the arc). As well as other various reasons. Also this post would have approximately 900 entries if Zou, Whole Cake, and Wano were together. Cool? Cool. Anime Arcs Silver Mine Bartolomeo living the dream getting a filler arc with his idol Apparently every filler villain in this series wants to be Akainu. This time it's smelting powers instead of heat, but with the same results. There was nothing incredibly bad in this arc, but I legit forgot plot points of it after a few episodes. Zoro brought up that he wanted to get revenge for something, and if they didn't throw in the flashback of the thing he was mad about from the first episode I would have been completely lost. And that's about the level of quality in this whole arc. Still not the worst arc cause Bartolomeo was really fun, but stuff with him was the only real saving grace imo. Zou Again, love the ever growing relationship between Luffy and Lil Bro Momo I've always been a big fan of Zou. It really feels like the entire story gets expanded for what will be the final stages, and there's a lot of big reveals as far as what the hell is next to come. That's not news though, I feel like Zou has always been the least controversial New World arc and everybody agrees it's pretty good. What stuck out to me going back through this is how many different Straw Hat dreams got some big moments, which I really liked. Chopper getting to save all the minks by making medicine was a nice moment for him, and I also really enjoyed him helping patch up Zunesha (more on that in a second). And Robin's excitement when presented with the Road Poneglyph and finding out what it meant, just a really happy experience. It's the happiest I can remember her when finding a Poneglyph since she found the one in Skypiea that made her realize it's not a lost dream. And Nami asking Inuarashi about what the Log Pose is pointing to and getting that affirmation that she's leading them on the right path, super cute moment. I feel like a lot of people criticize some of the Straw Hats with this idea that their dreams aren't really talked about much since the time skip, but to me this arc was really covering a bunch of those moments for them in really satisfying ways. Yeah we don't physically see Nami draw a map or anything like that, but we do get Robin giving her readings from the Poneglyph that can lead her down that path. I just really enjoyed all the little moments leading them on their individual dreams, especially for the more abstract ones like Chopper where none of us know how he's actually going to pull it off. I also really enjoyed the filler episode right near the end of this arc. I brought up getting to see Chopper healing Zunesha, that was mostly done in the filler episode I'm referring to. Just really good canon filler that plugged up a lot of gaps from the manga. Carrot bribing the monkey so she could sneak on the ship, the minks all helping to make bandages for Zunesha's leg, Nami getting the map for Totto Land. One of those filler episodes where if somebody didn't tell you it was filler you'd have no clue, it just fit in perfectly. I feel like most of the filler in this arc was really well fitting, other than them randomly fighting bees for half an episode one time. Like I've been saying since the end of Dressrosa, if they do more filler like this then I really don't have an issue with the page count. I think content matters more than the amount of pages covered, and this was for the most part really good content. As far as the story itself, the setup for Wano was great. Love seeing Momo really come into his own; he's turned into a great character in Wano and it really started around this moment here when he allies with Luffy. And the Raizo is Safe moment was really good, loved the adaptation. The music in the moment sounded very Wano/Japanese themed, which fit the moment. And frankly all of the music in this arc was great. You can always tell when one of these 200+ episode animes just got a new OST, because you start hearing new music super often. But no complaints there. Specials One Piece: Heart of Gold I swear this was integral to the plot. Don't fact check. I just did not get into this one. The villain was pretty underwhelming (although I did like Zoro and Sanji's fights). And while I get it's filler so logic is somewhat out the window, the logic of this special goes super out the window. For example there's a part where Brook is needed to play the piano with very specific notes or he'll get shot with arrows. And he keeps messing up because there's a bit of the last page missing. And despite the fact that arrows pretty much do nothing to him, we instead get Robin and Chopper protecting him. Who for some reason are totally fine to use their Devil Fruits, which made me realize they're not even in Seastone cuffs but are for some reason just going along with everything. It took me until that point of the movie to even realize that. And I bring that up to talk about the next test they had, where they needed to use keys and had to find the right keyhole out of 17 (16 electrocute you, 1 doesn't). For some reason this is Nami's job, and Brook, Chopper, and Usopp have to hold the whole thing open so they don't get crushed. But if the electrocution doesn't kill you, and you're allowed to use devil fruits, why are they not using the person who can literally sprout clones and body parts? Obviously she'd still get hurt because she feels pain from the clones, but it makes way more sense than having almost half the crew crushed to death. Again, it's a filler special episode so why am I even ranting about this. But stuff like that made me realize that the plot makes no sense and that it took me that long into the movie to realize it makes no sense. The CP0 stuff was kinda interesting albeit they make them kinda look like scrubs, the Celestial Dragon stuff was fine too. And Chopper continues his reign as the greatest plug in One Piece, because he apparently just carries around every drug necessary with zero prep time. Also whoever animated this did it with one hand down their pants when they drew the Nami and Robin stuff. So kudos to them. Wasn't a bad special, just kinda boring. Movies One Piece Film: Gold Nice to see Nami finally get to shine in a movie. WOW. What an amazing movie. There were just so many things to love about this one. Where to start. I'm always a fan of getting some unusual Straw Hat duos/trios. The usual groups are fun, don't get me wrong. But it's always nice to mix it up since they're such a big group. So having Franky running alone with Luffy for half the movie, I was a big fan of that. That's just not a usual pairing that happens, and the resulting dynamic from that was really cool. I also enjoy when a movie villain doesn't feel unusually OP just for the sake of making the plot work, or like they're nerfing the main cast to make it a conflict. That's something that happens with a lot of shonen movies because they need the villain to be strong for an hour or so to make it work. When they revealed early into the movie that the gold confetti raining down actually makes it so Tesoro can control everything, I was in shock. It's a good plot device to neutralize the good guys that doesn't feel contrived, and it's also just really fucking smart. It immediately made Tesoro feel like a genuine threat. And speaking of Tesoro, what a great villain. His backstory was crazy. The Celestial Dragon stuff is always a good way to get under the audience's skin, but the fact that he was a slave too and basically took the Sun Pirates approach of covering it? Huge surprise, not what I was expecting at all. Also enjoyed Nami finally getting to fully participate in a movie. Her relationship with Carina was really cool, but the main thing that I liked was that she finally gets to play a big role in a movie. I wouldn't define her role in the last few movies as a damsel in distress. But it did kinda suck to see Nami taken out of the past few movies fairly early, where she doesn't get to play out a role like everybody else. Whether that's her being changed to a little kid or her getting kidnapped by Shiki in the first few minutes. This time Zoro gets to be the one separated from the crew, but you know Zoro will always get his moment eventually so it was fine. Again, just another really unique thing about this movie compared to the other ones. This was just a really fun heist style movie, even with the typical planning montage. Very fun watch. OVAs One Piece Film: Gold Episode 0 Subtle. Speaking of animating with a hand down their pants, this was animated with the pen in their mouth. I guess these OVAs are all just going to be an excuse to show Nami and Robin half naked as many times as possible. In which case I say thank you. Also I knew Nami and Robin ran an elaborate gambling ring on the ship, I called that. Fun short little video leading into the movie, like the Glorious Island one. We've upgraded from swimming to having the girls bouncing around playing volleyball. I look forward to the next one where they mud wrestle. ONAs Oishi-sa Hajikeru! One Piece MyAnimeList needs some quality control on these entries. 0/10, Franky didn't make a commercial about soda. Scratch x One Piece Film: Gold The face of the VAs when they saw how many 0's were at the end of their check. Amazing. Inspiring. The lottery tickets really spoke to my heart. One Piece Film: Gold - Cine Mike Popcorn Kokuchi Again about that quality control. Amazing. Inpsiring. The popcorn really spoke to my heart. TOHO Cinemas x One Piece Film: Gold - Tokubetsu Eizou Actually cool artwork. Actually a really well animated video for what is essentially just a company logo promo. Very cool art.
