2023.03.22 13:43 gmoneyloans Kidney stone removal surgery in Bangalore: What you need to know
Introduction Kidney stones are a prevalent urological problem affecting millions of people throughout the world. These are tiny, hard deposits that form in the kidneys and cause severe discomfort when passing through the urinary tract. Kidney stones range in size from a grain of sand to a golf ball, and their pain can range from minor discomfort to excruciating anguish. Dehydration, food, family history, and certain medical conditions can all contribute to kidney stone formation.
Treatment for kidney stones depends on how big the stone is, where it is, and what it is made of. It may involve painkillers, surgery, or both. In this essay, we will look at the causes, symptoms, and treatments of kidney stones, as well as techniques for avoiding them in the first place.
Cost of kidney removal surgery Kidney stone treatment in Bengaluru might cost anywhere between Rs. 95,000 and Rs. 1,45,000. The final cost will be determined by a number of factors, including your location, the type of surgery, your health at the time of surgery, the surgeon's experience, and the severity of your disease. If you want to get the greatest possible value for your money, keep these considerations in mind when making your decision.
Cost of kidney stone surgery tests Aside from
kidney stone removal surgery cost there are also a bunch of tests carried out before the surgery. Here is a list of a few common tests and how much they cost
- Abdominal ultrasound costs around Rs. 1500–2500.
- X-ray approximately costs Rs. 200-600.
- MRI scans cost between Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 8,000.
- CT scanning costs around Rs. 3000–4500.
- Urinalysis approximately costs Rs. 100-300.
- Blood Test costs between Rs. 300 and 700.
Signs that you may have kidney stones Kidney stones can cause a variety of symptoms, which vary based on the stone's size, location, and shape. Here are some of the most common symptoms of a kidney stone:
Sharp back or side pain: The most common symptom of kidney stones is a sudden, acute pain in the back or side that might spread to the groyne area. The discomfort may be irregular, and it may be accompanied by nausea and vomiting.
Painful urination: Kidney stones can irritate the urinary tract and cause pain or a burning feeling when you urinate. You may also feel the desire to urinate more frequently than normal.
Blood in the urine: Kidney stones can cause small amounts of blood to show up in your urine. The urine may also appear hazy or odorous.
Trouble passing urine: Larger kidney stones can impede urine flow, causing difficulties or pain when urinating.
Factors to consider before selecting a kidney stone hospital in Bangalore These are some crucial considerations to bear in mind before selecting for
treatment for kidney stone:
●
Hospital reputation and experience: Seek out a hospital with a solid reputation for treating kidney stones as well as skilled doctors and staff who specialise in urology.
●
Diagnostic and treatment facilities: Choose a hospital that offers sophisticated diagnostic and treatment options, such as ultrasound, CT scanning, lithotripsy, and minimally invasive surgery.
●
Quality of patient care: Assess the quality of patient care, such as the availability of round-the-clock nurse care, private rooms, and other amenities.
●
Cost of treatment: Check the cost of the surgery and compare it with those at other hospitals to ensure you get the best treatment without breaking your budget.
●
Insurance coverage: Check to see whether the hospital accepts your insurance and if they have a relationship with your insurance provider.

2023.03.22 13:42 fightaroundtheworld California: man fight off alleged attacker who was holding him at knifepoint inside Corona gym
A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday after he allegedly stabbed another man and held him at knifepoint inside a Corona gym in front of shocked bystanders.
A part of the violent encounter was captured on video and showed the victim try to disarm his alleged attacker, allowing multiple people to wrestle the suspect to the ground.
That video is now part of a police investigation.
Officers responded to a report of an assault around 9:20 a.m. at a Planet Fitness gym located at 3685 Grand Oaks, according to Corona police.
Investigators say the incident began in the gym parking lot when the suspect, 30-year-old Ronald Chand of Santa Ana, assaulted the victim with a knife and a hatchet.
The attacker and victim ended up in the gym lobby.
Video showed the victim holding onto the attacker's hatchet, but Chand also had a knife in his other hand as they stood side by side.
As bystanders looked on, the victim suddenly tried to disarm Chand and took him to the ground. Several other people jumped in and pinned the suspect to the ground.
Police say the victim was stabbed several times. He was seen covered in blood after he was freed.
Chand was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and then booked for attempted murder at Robert Presley Detention Center, police said. His bail was set at $1 million.
Paramedics took the 41-year-old stabbing victim to the hospital for injuries not life-threatening. He has since been released.

2023.03.22 13:39 SPACEJEBUSS DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON A CMA/RMA/CNA PROGRAM.... (I am a very upset pre-med student and must vent, thank you)
Hi, I'm 26M. I am a "certified and registered" medical assistant (CRMA) since 2019 [pro tip, there is no difference between CMA and RMA, its literally the same]. I am certified and registered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT). I have always been fascinated by medicine. I was a very young child when I first got hooked, I have been seen every corner of medicine ever since. As it turns out, I'm pretty damn good in the field. I worked on this useless certification since before I was 18. In 2016, I graduated high-school and was a duel enrollment student my senior year. I went to my local community college during duel enrollment and was convinced by my superiors at the time that becoming a CMA was a great way to go.
I was told that by becoming a CRMA I would have bettehigher annual pay rates and higher probability of being hired for jobs. I was told that the credits I would obtain at my community college for this certification would be a great addition to many health related bachelor majors like Pre-Med and RN programs. Even contribute to a faster graduation much "like an associates". Only that I wouldn't have an associates which wouldn't be very "applicable" to the real world after graduation unless I continue to a bachelors. But a certification to get a "large head start".
Jesus fucking Christ, head start this, head start that, benefits here, benefits there. God, I want to vomit just listening to myself regurgitate all these words of affirmation said to me. Over the coarse of nearly 5 YEARS I am here to tell you that NOTHING of what I was assured or told was true.
Now here is the reality of what you will discover, post-covid, what being a CRMA really does for you.
- A CRMA certification grants you NO competitive benefits and NO reasonably competitive annual pay compared to anyone who gets hired with out a CRMA certification.
Literally no Benefits, none. I have been the lowest annually paid Technician, Medical Technician, Mental Health Technician, for EVERY JOB I EVER OBTAINED and WITH my CRMA certification. I worked at many extremely well known medical institutions from Childrens psychiatric residential care hospitals to where I am now working at one of the greatest health care institutions IN THE FUCKING COUNTRY of the USA and I am STILL one of the lowest paid compared to the majority of my fellow technicians. I currently get paid $18.20 an hour in one of the most expensive areas on the east coast. My co-workers laughed at me and then showed me their pay stubs at $24-26 per hour pay FOR THE SAME JOB. Then new hires that came after me getting $22 FOR THE SAME JOB, NO CRMA CERTIFICATION, NO BACHELORS, NOTHING. Yeah. Oh and good luck making that case to your manager. Getting any kind of raise is next to impossible no matter how long you work or how hard you work or how well you work at your position.
- A CRMA certification today will LESSEN your chances of being hired.
Yup, you heard it here first folks. Obtaining your CRMA certification means that you are of a higher education standard and can handle higher responsibilities, conduct more hands on care with patients, and even more universal in the world of medicine assistants for all kinds of levels of care. Yeaaahhh well after covid, that means that any and all health care networks are going to essentially hire anyone else to do those jobs. Qualified or not. According to my past managers, Nursing managers, and most business sides of health care networks, medical assistants have low level qualifications, little education, or education needs to even just become a CRMA. Furthermore, less urgent responsibilities, I guess? I was just doing CPR on a man in a 30 min code sweating my dick off but sure, I guess not. This means that from the business end perspective they don't need someone with higher qualifications to do the same job. It's simple economics. Why pay someone with proper qualifications $35-40,000 when you can choose the less qualified, less trained, and less educated person for $20-25,000 annually and still obtain the same results within a certain field of practice. It's the quantity over quality kind of mentality. Over my many years I have seen so many unqualified, uneducated, and relentlessly lazy individuals work beside me completely unaware of their responsibilities on the floors of the hospital. You WILL experience these people as your co-workers, guaranteed, now days more than ever.
- CRMA CERTIFICATION CLASSES DO NOT CONTRIBUTE JACK SHIT TO A BACHELORS
After all was said and done and I "graduated" (I guess..) from my community college I went on to my bachelors only to find out that 90% OF MY CREDITS I TOOK AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE WERE NOT APPLICIBLE. Literally 90%, I essentially was 21 starting at my 4 year university and at ground zero with barely anything to show for my efforts to get this CRMA certification. Then covid hit, everyone had to go home, and that really messed everything up. I couldn't focus at home and my grades started to tank due to my really awful home situation but I'm not here to talk about that. So I decided to take a gap year to get a night shift Technician job back at home as a float technician. Never the less, in academia I was majorly behind. Yes Yes Yes, I know. Life is not a race, it's a journey. Some of us struggle more than others. However, here I am at 26, I need to work to pay for an apartment (which I can barely pay for because I'm just a tech in a really expensive area), I need to stand on my own 2 feet, I need to pay for my car and car insurance, I need my own health insurance as per required by the state, and I'm LITERALLY JUST A JUNIOR AFTER ALL THIS TIME. I'm part time in school now so I don't burn myself out working and going to school (tried that, nearly 2 years of my life 7 days a week, no sleeping in, no breaks, fall-winter-spring-summer, just to try and catch up and I will never do that again.). So, at the part time pace I'm going I will graduate 3 years or more from now if I don't go full time literally NOW. I WILL BE BASICALLY 30.... If I do go full time in school I'll be able to graduate in about 3 semesters, I have no idea how I'll be able to financially do that even with loans.
- YOU WILL BE EXPOSED TO INTENSE, HARSH, HAZERDOUS, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND MENTAL EXTREMES INVOLVING YOUR PATIENTS ALONG SIDE YOUR NURSES AND DOCTORS.
I have worked before, during, and after the worst of what covid-19 had to throw at us on Emergency department (ER), Intensive care, Progressive care, Medical-surgical care, Post Anesthesia care, Observation, hospice, and psychiatric care units/floors/facilities. I have seen families and children watch me as I do CPR on their Father before being shooed away so they aren't scarred for the rest of their life. I was forced to be sat on 1:1's with fully grown men with biceps the size of my face with the body build of a line backer having explosive and uncontrollable manic episodes, convincing themself that us health care workers were human traffickers, and somehow after hours of screaming what I can only describe as absolute madness, have the strength to bend the metal his restraints were tied too. I am 6'2", 220 lbs, consistently go to the gym and play lacrosse the majority of my life and for a moment I wondered if that was going to be my day. Furthermore, later in the day meeting said manic patients wife, I couldn't help but notice the bruises all over her face, her arms, legs, chest... everywhere.
I have witnessed patients with HSV-1 (facial/oral herpes), HSV-2 (Genital herpes) and HIV/AIDS fling various bodily fluids such as blood, spit, urine, excrement, and even ejaculate attempting infect someone with malicious intent. I had one patient admit that they tried to infect another purposefully because they didn't want to feel so alone. Patients will try to get to know you, you're going to be the one they probably see first or most through out the day when they use their call bell. Mostly, they'll want to have normal chit chat in normal ways but there is always that 1 or 2 with other intentions. I have my last name covered on my hospital ID because I WAS FOLLOWED. I am 26M, and all it took was some good and casual conversation talking about ourselves and our lives. I like to talk to my patients and get to know them so they know that I do care about their well being. Obviously, I'm not about to talk about crazy personal details of my life, separation of church and state n all that but that's all it took. Sad to say but even some of the insane have somewhat decent communication skills. A 12 hour shift and some conversation through out one shift, that's really all it takes. That was just one instance, my co-workers (the majority are female) have to many to keep tally.
You will encounter patients who are uncontrollably releasing their bowels and YOU are the one that needs to clean that up. House keeping isn't around the corner all the time and bleach wipes are there for a reason. You will encounter ALL bodily fluids on walls, floors, sinks, tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, and even on the ceiling (rare but yeah). You will be most likely responsible for your patients daily hygiene, dental, denture care, and shaving. If a patient is incapable of wiping after they released their bowls, and yes sometimes a little to early, got poop on themselves, their gown, socks, and down their leg... yup you guessed it, YOU gotta clean it up and in some cases re-wash the patient entirely. Most cases, your nurse or any help from fellow techs will be somewhere else probably dealing with another mess. Personal hygiene is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT for a patients health care while they are in your care. It's been proven that daily hygiene being done accelerates patient discharge rates. It matters. Which is why our position matters. If we don't wash our patients on a daily basis they will be more susceptible to infections and diseases. Especially if the patient is already immunocompromised. Depending on what unit you will be working on. You will also likely be responsible for checking equipment, making sure equipment is up to date, doing quality checks on defibrillators, refrigerators, and various other equipment that your unit uses every single day and for multiple times a day. I once witnessed two nurses go feral over a bladder scanner, I already bladder scanned both their patients by that time, both patients were fine. I could rant for an unfathomable amount of time about this position and all the essential things that we must do and provide with quality care and consistent accuracy. Don't get me started on Vaccinations at urgent cares, phlebotomy, obtaining samples for lab to do their mad scientist stuff, and the differences of technician/medical assistant responsibilities between different networks.
Conclusion...
This is a small section of what it means to be a dedicated Medical Assistant/Technician. Do yourself a favor. If everything I said doesn't worry you much, go for it. If you want the experience or the desire for the experience and you are in a state where you can value the experiences more than the pay, go for it. I was like that once too, now I have no choice but to think more about how I will pay for myself and my future. Regardless, The Lord knows we need the help and I'll be happy to meet you and train you. However, you must know that you will always be appreciated. You'll hear the phrase "we appreciate you" or "Thank you for all your help today", from your nurses, fellow techs, managers, nursing managers, and doctors alike right before you leave to clock out. You'll just never be properly valued the way you should for the immense efforts you provide. You'll be just a tech. The health care field worker bee....

2023.03.22 13:26 hsnayvidd Need BUSINESS Advice.
So, we all know Derek owns an HRT clinic.
Hypothetically, if you had a clinic sized area IN THE FRONT(basically if a patient comes out of the compound, the first thing they'll see).
The situation for me is: The best GOVERNMENT hospital(doctor wise, not facilities) in this corner of my entire state IN India(fuck load of traffic-population) is in front of my family's property. Currently we have some spare space, and rest is constructed and given to a pharmacy, a small medicine storehouse and 3 floors to a Diagonostic center(MRI ultrasound stuff, that sorta)
How and what would you utilize utilize the remaining area for? The remaining area is front facing but on 1 and 2nd floor, not ground.
I was thinking about dispensing semaglutide and some sort of HRT. The issue is, most people go to the hospital(won't name it sorry), get prescription and buy meds from outside because more generic brands are available (most people are poor, because India).
The area isn't big enough to make a hospital with beds.
I was thinking that for type 2 diabetics, start giving semaglutide. Another thing, viagara and cialis are otc here. So, I'll start giving a cut to pharmacies when they hand over the card to the HRT.
The HRT we have here is horrendous. For test, 100mg, 250mg (enanthate) No test cyp. 1000mg test U( 4ml vile). We all know how good clomid and AIs are for "HRT"
Also, the pharmacy who's renting the area right now owns a factory and several other pharmacies. So, it may be possible to get different strength viles compounded if required.
Any idea from you guys?

Hi all, I originally got referred to St. Davids hospital GIC in November 2022, but moved to a GP in England 2 months later.
My English GP re-referred me to NCTH a month ago.
Do NCTH accept transfers referrals from other GICs, especially one in Wales? I called today and they said that they are starting to contact people who were referred in Nov 2022, they do not have me on any lists :(

2023.03.22 13:23 KobeKare are those anxiety attacks?
throwaway acc. a little bit about myself i’m a 23 F, bi in a very religious country, i have 9-5 job, shit family but i’m really used to it.
after several suicidal attempts my last one was 9 months ago, not gonna go into details of how i did it but i had a very bad inflammation and stomach ache! did go to the hospital for “being sick for no reason”, docs told me that my test all came back fine and i should just rest (not really sure how but i was glad).
in the next days i had the worst chest pain i’ve ever experienced and i definitely thought i was gonna have a heart attack and die, one day it got really bad and my heart raced like crazy and i was shaking but no one was around and after a couple of minutes i was ok. i guess it was a panic attack (never had one before) so i brushed it off like nothing happened.
in the next months i have been having these weird chest pain i thought i had a problem with my heart, but as days went by i noticed that the pain gets so much worst when i think about certain things. i’ve done so much to get rid of the pain yet it seems like it only gets worst.
i was watching a video on youtube the other day about a medical case and when they started to describe the symptoms that the patient had I HAD THE WORST CHEST PAIN SO FAR!! my heart was racing and my chest tightened i couldn’t breathe!
googled it and got an “anxiety test”, idk what to do. it really fucked me up i thought i was crazy.
p.s: every time i get the chest pain i would google my symptoms and only get “HEART ATTACK” and “IMMEDIATELY CALL 911”, it makes the pain way worst….
i need tips on how to control my anxiety please!

2023.03.22 13:16 lady-biker VA/VMSTEP Question
Good morning fellow feds!
I'm a non-supervisory GS-13 at a center within HHS. I've been with the Fed since 2019. My husband is medically retired out of the Army with a compensable 50% service-connected disability that is also Schedule A eligible. He recently graduated with an Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology from an ABET-certified program (this is important later). He received almost every honor out there- he's a member of honors societies, was named "Outstanding Graduate," is a published author, graduated summa cum laude, you name it. He's done extremely well for himself in spite of everything he was up against.
He's been trying to get on with the Fed since graduation, but has been having an extraordinarily hard time getting interviews. Every time he finds a position he's qualified for, he cross-references the duties/responsibilities to his resume to make sure his resume includes everything. He's probably applied to 15 jobs, that he meets all qualifications for, but has only received one interview. He applied with the USPTO, requested a SPPC due to his Schedule A disability, and never heard anything of value back, and the HR person said that someone with OHR would contact him in the future at some point, but it wouldn't be a SPPC.
I know that he's obviously not guaranteed a Fed job just because he's a disabled vet. But my understanding is that because of his background, if he meets the minimum qualifications, he's supposed to receive at least an interview. He's been trying to contact various folks with questions but no one ever gets back to him. After five months we did hear back from an HR rep at the VA who left an extremely unprofessional voicemail essentially telling him to re-write his resume. We had attended a VMSTEP seminar at my agency in November, and the person putting on the seminar said that anyone who had issues could reach out to her with questions. We finally heard from someone yesterday, and it was extremely unhelpful.
Does anyone have any pointers on what to do for this? He is not applying to positions that he's unqualified for. He did get one job offer with a Power Administration place, but we would have had to move 1900 miles to a place that is extremely expensive, and there were no moving expenses authorized. It is so frustrating- I was able to apply once, got my interview, and got hired immediately. When he's applying he includes his disability paperwork from the VA that documents the 50% service-connected disability with the diagnosis, DD214, transcripts, resume, cover letter, everything. I'm just at a loss as to what to do.

2023.03.22 13:14 divahospital What Are The Good Practices For Pre Pregnancy?
| https://preview.redd.it/b61wy9lc8apa1.png?width=849&format=png&auto=webp&s=63bfe74fbfc07c85bea3e325a2860085ecd77717 Preparing for pregnancy is a crucial step for anyone trying to conceive, and it’s never too early to start. Preconception health care focuses on actions you can take before and between pregnancies to improve your chances of having a healthy baby. While it may take a few months for some individuals to get their bodies ready for pregnancy, for others it may take longer. Regardless of the number of pregnancies you’ve had before, there are certain essential steps you can take to ensure you have the healthiest pregnancy possible. If you also are looking for the best counseling session before pregnancy, care during pregnancy, management of infertility, performing laparoscopic surgery, and surgical procedures such as total laparoscopic hysterectomy, abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, and fibroid removal, then must visit Diva Women’s Hospital. Make a plan and see your doctor: It is very essential for women to see a doctor before planning to get pregnant even when they feel healthy enough. Making a proper plan and seeing a doctor before attempting to conceive is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, a doctor can help evaluate your overall health and identify any potential health issues that may impact your ability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term. They can provide guidance on lifestyle changes, such as improving your diet and exercise habits, quitting smoking, and reducing alcohol consumption, which can improve your overall health and increase your chances of a successful pregnancy. If you are looking for the best women’s hospital in Ahmedabad, then you must get in touch with Diva Women’s Hospital. Stop Smoking, Alcohol, and Drugs. Limit Caffeine: Quitting smoking, limiting alcohol consumption, and reducing caffeine intake are essential when planning to conceive because they can significantly impact fertility and the health of a developing foetus. Smoking is a known risk factor for infertility in both men and women. It can damage reproductive organs, reduce sperm count, and affect hormone levels, making it harder to conceive. Smoking during pregnancy can also increase the risk of complications, such as premature birth, low birth weight, and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Alcohol consumption can also negatively impact fertility and increase the risk of complications during pregnancy. Drinking during pregnancy can cause fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs), which can lead to physical, behavioural, and intellectual disabilities. Eating a balanced diet: Eating a balanced and nutritious diet is crucial when planning for pregnancy because it can help optimize fertility and support a healthy pregnancy. A well-balanced diet provides the body with essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are necessary for reproductive health. For example, a deficiency in folate, a B-vitamin found in leafy greens, can increase the risk of birth defects, such as spina bifida. Eating a balanced diet can also help manage weight, which is crucial for fertility and pregnancy. Being overweight or underweight can affect hormone levels and ovulation, making it harder to conceive. Obesity during pregnancy can also increase the risk of complications such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and pre-eclampsia. Take folic acid and multivitamins regularly: Taking folic acid before pregnancy is essential to reduce the risk of birth defects, especially those affecting the baby’s spine. It is recommended to start taking a vitamin containing folic acid before trying to conceive to ensure adequate levels of this nutrient. Additionally, it is important to avoid high doses of any vitamin, particularly vitamins A, D, E, and K, as taking excessive amounts of these vitamins can cause birth defects. Pregnancy-specific multivitamins usually contain safe levels of all necessary vitamins and minerals required for a healthy pregnancy. Choose Diva Women’s Hospital for comprehensive women’s healthcare services and expert medical guidance throughout your journey toward motherhood. Proper exercise: Exercising before and during pregnancy can benefit women in various ways, including preparing their bodies for the changes they will undergo during pregnancy and childbirth. Women who are already active can continue their exercise routine safely throughout most of their pregnancy. For those who are not currently exercising, it is recommended to begin a regimen of 30 minutes of brisk exercise for five days per week before conceiving and throughout pregnancy. The amount of exercise during pregnancy should be determined based on individual health and activity levels before pregnancy. Visit Diva Women’s Hospital and consult with the best gynec/OB in Ahmedabad. Take proper rest and sleep: When trying to conceive, it is important to minimize stress and practice relaxation techniques. High levels of stress can affect hormone levels and disrupt ovulation, making it more challenging to become pregnant. To reduce stress, it is recommended to speak to a healthcare provider, such as a doctor or midwife, who can suggest techniques to alleviate stress. Getting enough high-quality sleep and making time to relax can also be beneficial. Lack of sleep can affect hormone levels and disrupt ovulation, making it harder to conceive. Relaxation techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, and yoga may help reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. If you are searching for a top-tier women’s hospital in Ahmedabad, look no further than Diva Women’s Hospital. 2023.03.22 13:12 Fit_Thanks_8442 Bloody/diarrhea in kitten
Looking for other possibilities/stories here. I got a Ragdoll kitten from a breeder almost 2 weeks ago. 24 hours after I got her I took her to the emergency hospital, she did not eat or drink in those hours and was sneezing/sounded like she couldn’t breathe. After 6 hours they said her blood sugar was so low if I would’ve waited 12 more hours she would’ve needed to be hospitalized. She was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and a bacterial infection. They have me 3 medication- metronidazole, azithromycin and an anti diarrhea. After using all 3 she was incredibly lethargic, worse than before. I called the vet to see if I could get in much earlier than my originally scheduled appointment and I did.
The vet said use only the metronidazole - her butt was constantly leaking and she was leaving poop everywhere. This worked and she was eating/drinking but still leaking/have bloody diarrhea. After a week of meds and stool tests all clear, the vet now has her on Albon to rule out any parasites. We’re on day 3 of Albon and I feel like she is more active / alert, but she still have diarrhea /bloody stool. She is on IAMs kitten dry food and Fancy Feast kitten wet. I suggested changing her food but the vet said not yet. Her butt is so raw, I’ve been putting hydrocortisone cream on it (vet approved) but it obviously hurts her and she keeps trying to lick it off.
She is also apparently 13-14 weeks and is only 2.9lbs (got her at “12 weeks” and she was 2.4lbs) I just feel so bad for my baby and I will do anything to make her feel better.

2023.03.22 13:12 distaff_limeade What to do with Medical Debt of Deceased
My uncle recently passed away and amassed a large amount of medical debt and some even went to collections. My mom says that we do not need to repay anything out of the small estate if we don’t receive the bill. It’s been three months, and we have received only one bill. She would like keep the 20k she inherited, and I am a little worried they might come after her one day to collect what is owed. I know my mom isn’t personally responsible for any of the medical debt, as she did not cosign, etc. But I have read that any debts need to be repaid out of whatever money is left over.
(I know there is a lot of medical debt as I was the one cleaning out her home, and running across a lot of different hospital medical bills as well as collections notices - some as recent as a month prior to his death)
Does she have to repay that debt, or can she ignore it and claim she didn’t know, or even that the estate was insolvent?

2023.03.22 13:06 bigbear0083 (3/22) Wednesday's Pre-Market Stock Movers & News
Good morning traders and investors of the StockMarket sub! Welcome to FOMC Rate Decision Day and a new trading day and a fresh start! Here are your pre-market stock movers & news on this Wednesday, March the 22nd, 2023-
Stock futures were slightly lower Wednesday as investors braced for the Federal Reserve’s next move in its inflation-fighting rate hiking plan.
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14 points, or 0.04%. S&P 500 futures were down 0.02%, while Nasdaq-100 futures dipped 0.14%.
The major averages posted strong gains in the previous session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 316 points, or nearly 1%. The S&P 500 jumped 1.3%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.58%.
The moves came as fears over the ongoing banking crisis showed signs of easing, with investors “heartened by the increasing likelihood that the end of Fed policy tightening is near,” said Brian Levitt, global market strategist for Invesco.
“Fed tightening cycles typically end with a crisis, and those crises tend to end with policy responses. That may help to explain today’s market moves,” he added.
Investors are looking forward to the latest update from the Fed, at the conclusion of its two-day policy meeting on Wednesday. Most investors expect the central bank to stay committed to its tightening and raise rates by 25 basis points.
As of Wednesday morning, there is about an 85% chance of a quarter-point increase by the Fed, according to CME Group’s FedWatch tool. Meanwhile, there’s a roughly 15% probability of there being no hike.
“We think the Fed will take that next step, that 25 basis point increase, but probably wrap that in some pretty dovish language to indicate they’re close to the end, if not at the end,” said Neuberger Berman’s Erik Knutzen said on CNBC’s “Closing Bell.” “In a way, it almost doesn’t matter, it’s priced in. What’s most important is the broad liquidity being provided through the Fed’s balance sheet and some of the programs they put in place, the liquidity they provided last week.”
He added that that could lead to “considerable tightening, as banks change their posture in this more challenging environment — and that’s the part that we think is going to have the biggest negative impact on the economy.”
Elsewhere, investors are expecting an update on the latest MBA mortgage purchase applications reading. There are also a handful of companies slated to post results Wednesday, including Tencent and Winnebago.

2023.03.22 12:59 zostepatrikia He's Gone
I should never have complained last week. It was far worse than I thought. He didn't tell me how sick he was feeling, he was either hiding it from me, or didn't know himself.
It happened fast. On Wednesday he was brought in via ambulance to our local VA hospital as they won't take you to the cancer center ER. He was immediately deemed too sick for a transfer and I got phone calls immediately. After speaking with doctors in the ER, ICU, and PCU, it was clear it was time for me to make necessary arrangements to get family down ASAP. That evening I went home, and he was yelling at me to finish school and meet my deadlines, no matter what happened. I had a friend fly in overnight, and she was able to take my phone to allow me some rest. He was moved into the ICU around 2am because his oxygen needs were too high, and then they found the bugs in his blood.
The cancer had spread under the radar in a matter of 2 weeks. TWO. WEEKS. It infiltrated his bones, and I was called about his ribs being cracked and asked if he had had CPR before. He had not. It was literally turning him into dust. He asked that a DNDNI was put into place.
His family was able to get in Thursday afternoon, he was in the ICU and he was able to vocalize that he wanted to move into hospice as the invasive nature to clear the blood infection was going to be too much. (He said this to a room full of residents and interns, the looks on their faces were devastating.) The hospice doctor was right there, and explained what was next. Once his family came in, and visitors were able to get their last conversations in, he was moved into hospice care on Friday afternoon. The nurses were incredible. He did come out of it a bit when his fever spiked and before the lorazepam kicked in. He said he was in a lot of pain, but that he loved me. We held a virtual Irish Wake, I even put a bottle of Guinness and a bottle of Jameson in the bed with him, hoping for the usual miracles we knew weren't coming. His family came to say their goodbyes, and then I sat vigil with two of my best friends, one being a death doula, to ease his passing on Saturday. He was gone by 4:55pm.
A week ago, I still had him.
This is the worst feeling. And I know it's not on me. I know it's not my fault, I am not a doctor, I am not an all-seeing divine being, but the guilt is so, so very real. The Navy has already had me finish paperwork to get me benefits, and I have more today. Both friends have left and I purged "sick" husband from my house already because seeing the mobility aids made me worse. My sister and best friend are coming in this weekend, but, I did make a promise, so I'm taking the time I need to work on schoolwork.
I'm just...lost. I'll be okay, but not right now.
