My boyfriend and I began having a rocky relationship (currently we have been dating for a year and one month) ever since he started doing things behind my back, he always knew I was against vaping and I understand it's his body and his choice but I expressed I wasn't a fan of it and he decided to quit for a long time and suddenly he felt temptations and started again and kept being caught by me. We began arguing about it one day in his bedroom which resulted in me going into a very heavy dissociated in fear state because he yelled at me. I have unknown psychological issues where when triggered I go into states where I don't know what I am doing and I feel like I'm out of control of my body so I felt stuck in this drowning numb feeling and began acting kind of childlike. Even though we had just had a heated argument I clearly showed I was not in my normal state and he knew about my states and that I didn't know what was I doing during in them and he decided to have sex with me whilst he kept saying "I don't know if this is okay, this feels wrong." And he would ask me if I wanted to be having sex with him during it and I kept saying "I don't know." And he just continued anyways and afterwards I began crying because I had felt violated and from this moment on it started months of misery.
Due to this, I felt it was reasonable to "break up" with him even though I knew I really in reality wouldn't be so I only "broke up" with him for like a day but he decided to go behind my back and go back to his old friends which are these bad people including this girl that had at (18f) was having sex with a (13f) and that whole group he was with were just reckless and horrible influences that clearly supported pedophillia. And since I had as a kid been molested by a female the girl he knew really bothered me and I never would of thought he would go back to them but little did I know, every time he would be ignoring me for hours and being cruel to me and defending that pedophile girls actions saying "it was love, you just don't understand" and saying he would start treating me better, it was all just a lie as he would go behind my back with these weird group of girls and all these girls he was hanging out with he had made out with a bunch of times in the past in spin the bottle games and doing sexual shit with each other in the past. Which I expressed without knowing he was doing it that I would be extremely uncomfortable if he hungout with them especially if he doesn't even allow me to have guy friends and he knows that they're bad people, but of course when I'm asleep after worrying all night of when he would be rude to me next he was out with them, shit talking me and making up lies about me because he didn't like seeming like a bad person so he shifted his insecurities onto me.
On Halloween in of course 2022 my boyfriend and I had decided to do weed which I had done once in the past a few months prior but I didn't know this night would lead into a night of horror because suddenly out of nowhere when I had one cone (in the past I only had half a cone) I believed a delusion that a bunch of time went past and that I wasn't real and I was screaming like I was being murdered uncontrollably for minutes and shouting and asking if I was real and I kept experience weird ticklish sensations all over my body and the whole room didn't look the same and so the ambulance eventually was called and I was hallucinating seeing people and even believing for a short period of time that I was watching a facecam on a discord call and hallucinating people saying my name and to add to the experience the staff weren't treating me well and ignoring me and refused to get me any water or help me up when passing out on a chair.
My boyfriend vowed to never do weed again out of respect for the traumatic experience I went through where for over a month I'd live flashbacks and still believe I was in the moment again and he saw the living hell I went through. I recently yesterday just found out he of course did weed with the old friends he was hanging out with even though he promised he never would. I am so sorry to dump all this I just feel so lost and alone and I'm sick of not having advice from anyone. My boyfriend tends to get angry and take it out on me and take advantage of my attachment to him by saying he will ignore me or go out somewhere in a way to insinuate he could be going behind my back and laughing saying "I do things that I know hurt you in order to get my way." So fucked up to say when I had been put through so much shit from him that's just way too much to be put on this. This is my first time ever making a post on reddit. Thank you so much for reading this and advice would be heavily appreciated on what to do and how I should feel. He doesn't hang out with them anymore and I got him to say he doesn't want to continue his friendship with them back in January this year but I'm still so hurt.

With 11 appearances and finished fourth once, South Korea cements as the most and richest records of Asian teams in the FIFA World Cup. The country also won two Asian Cups, all in the inaugural editions.
South Korea has impressed the world with the country's rapid economic development in the aftermath of the Korean War. Back in 1960s, South Korea's GDP/per capita was equal to many Sub-Saharan African countries, and only few decades later, the country has become one of the wealthiest in the world.
This can also be said the same about football, although it was far from easy at the first place. South Korea qualified for the 1954 FIFA World Cup, the first time an Asian country qualified by its merit (Dutch East Indies/Indonesia qualified in 1938 due to Japan's withdrawal). In that World Cup though, South Korea was thrashed by Hungary and Turkey at the group stage. It took the Koreans 32 years later to make its second appearance in Mexico 1986, and has never missed a single edition since. Yet not until 2002, when the World Cup was hosted at home soil, that South Korea would register its first win, a 2-0 win over Poland in their eventual (though controversial) fourth place finish.
Since that World Cup, South Korea has been consistent, though sometimes troublesome, in qualifying to the FIFA World Cup. The Asian giant is eager to be better in the next World Cups and, with the expansion to 48 teams starting with 2026 edition, South Korea's route is more open than ever. The country has also been able to export their successful domestic products that gained fames across the globe like Park Ji-sung and recently Son Heung-min. Japan's rise is even more fascinating to even neutral watchers. For most of Japan's history in relations with football, the sport was relegated mainly to an amateur status and Japanese public could not care less about football. The main sport in Japan was baseball.
However, some notable events changed the course of Japanese football. First, the introduction of renowned Japanese manga Captain Tsubasa inspired numerous Japanese and even foreign legends to take up the ball. Second, the establishment of the Japan Professional Football League, also known as J.League in 1991, reshaped Japan's relations with football forever. Their impacts are relevant to even today. If in the 1980s, football was still a strange sport for Japanese, then in just only a short span of time since 1991, Japan quickly became the dominant Asian power. The country won four Asian Cup titles, the most, and has never failed to qualify for a World Cup since 1998, Japan's debut.
The rapid rise of Japan as an Asian powerhouse and a consistent World Cup performer stunned everyone about how quick the country could be. Moreover, ever since their hard-fought qualification for the World Cup in 1998, Japan always managed to qualify automatically by finishing in top two. Yet Japan's rise in football was overshadowed by a string of bad luck in the round of sixteen; since Japan's debut in 1998, Japan reached the last sixteen four times, but were all eliminated in agonising fashion to Turkey, Paraguay, Belgium and Croatia.
Nonetheless, the increasing quality of Japanese football has been able to attract European clubs and numerous Japanese players since Hidetoshi Nakata have been able to establish their foothold in Europe. Names like Keisuke Honda, Shinji Kagawa to even now Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kaoru Mitoma are the evidences of Japan's rapid rise and how a good strategy can impact positively in long term. The 2022 FIFA World Cup, a tournament where Japan ran riots with two shock wins over Germany and Spain, embodied this. Unfortunately, with the round of sixteen curse continues to haunt Japanese players, they need to find the way to overcome them if Japan ever wishes to be in the quarter-finals for the first time ever.

Australia's status has long been a matter of debate. The country is geographically Oceanian, but culturally European. For quite a long time, Australia's football development had been hampered by their geography and OFC membership, a key reason why football isn't Australia's most popular sport for a long time.
Australia made only two entrance to the FIFA World Cup as a member of the OFC, first in 1974 and last in 2006. It was 2006 that Australia finally got acceptance as an AFC member, a wish fulfilled for many Australians, including from their late legend John Warren. Since joining Asia, Australia has become one of the rare Asian sides that can compete in the FIFA World Cup and, also, a new powerhouse of the continent. Australia had also won one Asian Cup in 2015 as the host nation, the only country to win in two separate confederates.
Yet unlike Japan, Australia's rise isn't rapid and quite troubling. As Australia's top league doesn't include promotion and relegation (though debates about it have risen for years), Australia's way of football development has not been maximised. Moreover, despite its status as an Asian powerhouse, many Asians still question if Australia can ever contribute something to Asia. In fact, two recent World Cups saw Australia qualify only by the playoff merits. However, Australia has proven stubborn as a force in the FIFA World Cup. Under Guus Hiddink in 2006, Australia reached the last sixteen for the first time, before being ended by eventual winner Italy. It took 16 years before Graham Arnold, who presided in one of Australia's poorest qualification performances, to repeat it again in Qatar 2022 as the best ever with six points at the group stage, before ended by another eventual winner, Argentina.
Australia is facing a new prospect that could be the game changer to football across the nation. As football is experiencing a resurgence following the World Cup in Qatar, and with the country about to host the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, the first major senior FIFA event in the nation, Australia will need to capitalise on it as soon as possible. Australians want to see more from their Socceroos, instead of just struggling to qualify by playoffs, as happened with two near death experiences, if they ever want to be in North America and subsequent World Cup.

The oil-rich monarchy in West Asia has been able to establish itself a superpower in Asia and three consecutive Asian Cup titles proved it was no joke. Massive oil money has also financed Saudi Arabia's development of infrastructures and this greatly benefited the Kingdom on its path to become a consistent World Cup performer. Saudi Arabia qualified to their maiden appearance in the United States 1994, before doing it again for five other editions.
Yet for all instances of Saudi Arabia's massive wealth, the Kingdom only emerged from the group stage just once, in 1994. This was a phenomenal tournament of Saudi Arabia as Saeed Al-Owairan scored a beautiful goal against already-qualified Belgium to secure a historic shock 1-0 win over the European side, to sit second and reached the knockout stage in their debut. Saudi Arabia had come so close for a second knockout stage appearance in neighbouring Qatar 2022, where the Kingdom wrote one of its greatest chapters, a shock 2-1 win over eventual champions Argentina that, had the Falcons qualified, would have been remembered for decades; unfortunately, Poland and Mexico butchered that hope to condemn the Kingdom to a tragic bottom place exit in what was described as a huge missed opportunity, an exit that Salem Al-Dawsari, the hero against Argentina, bursted to tears for his country's failure, a moment captured by Arab media.
Criticism does run against Saudi Arabia though. Many commentators and even Saudi legends had condemned the government's protectionist policy, which was blamed for Saudi Arabia's failure to advance from their 1994 success. As far as 2002, the worst World Cup in Saudi history, legendary striker Sami Al-Jaber had condemned the government for trying to keep players at home rather than allowing footballers to go abroad. Moreover, there are concerns that Saudi Arabia is now chasing over profits rather than developing youth footballers after their lavish signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Whatever happens next to Saudi Arabia is for us to guess. Yet the Kingdom is now facing a daunting prospect of repeating the 1994 feat in 2026 and maybe 2030, ending their knockout drought. This is no easy mission however, as Saudi Arabia is preparing to fix the mess with the 2026 FIFA World Cup on sight with their coach Herve Renard, whose position remains in limbo due to recent attempt by FFF to get him as manager of the French women's team. As a hegemon of Asian football, if Saudi Arabia cannot do well in the next World Cups, its status will be severely damaged.

Iran is unique among the Asian powerhouses that is the only one to have never advanced past the group stage in every World Cup competition, yet also being the only Asian team in to have participated, and never, left the World Cup without a point, a fascinating difference considering Iran has played in six World Cups.
Iran is the fourth country in Asia to have played in the FIFA World Cup (fifth if counting Australia), and in their maiden appearance, Iran snatched a point from a 1-1 draw to Scotland. However, it took Iran two decades before returning to the World Cup in 1998, where they gained a historic 2-1 win over nemesis United States. Yet not until Carlos Queiroz's era that Iran finally found stability to take more World Cup participation, as they qualified for three consecutive World Cup since 2014, the first time Iran did so. Still, Iran could only win two other next matches, against Morocco (1-0) and Wales (2-0).
Iran has been unfortunate to be plagued by political turmoil at home. As for the result, Iran had underachieved at senior level, especially since 1979 when the Islamic regime took power from the Shah. The recent 2022 FIFA World Cup, where Iran's current generation reached its golden age, was tragically messed up by nationwide unrest related to the death of Mahsa Amini, is such of an example of how politics beset Iranian football. The Iranian regime is also accused of holding Iranian football potential back due to their constant interference and fear of public uprisings.
Now, Iran is led by a new coach, Ardeshir Ghalenoei, who coached Iran back in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup, and Ghalenoei faces a daunting challenge to help Iran to overcome their group stage curse. However, Iranian football, long beset by political interference and widespread corruption, may have to wait for a longer time to progress from the group stage.

In the old comic; Ruth specifically asks about if she seems manic or depressed, as well as asking if she seems like 'Jack the Ripper' (ie, psychotic). Psychosis is a bipolar symptom, and I don't know if it's common; but I at least often ask me spouse if I seem manic or psychotic.
Ruth also seems very very different on medication. Significantly less irritable, most notably. Being irritable is a manifestation of mania and hypomania for many people. Including my grandmother, my mother, and me.

The cell cycle is that amount from the time a cell is created till it completes cell division.
The G1 (first growth or gap) part represents the first growth part of the cell. throughout the S (DNA synthesis) part, growth continues, however this part conjointly involves DNA replication.
The G2 (second growth or gap) part prepares the cell for division. it includes replication of the mitochondria and alternative organelles, synthesis of microtubules and supermolecule that may structure the mitotic spindle fibers, and body condensation.
The M (mitotic) part includes events related to partitioning chromosomes between 2 girl cells and therefore the division of the protoplasm (cytokinesis).

I’m a first-time solo game developer and I recently announced my prehistoric 4X strategy game, Folk Emerging, where players lead nomadic families through the Stone Age.
With no marketing experience, I had no reason to expect much from the announcement. I just hoped to scrape by with the bare minimum number of wishlists to justify spending the next year or two polishing the game.
Chris Zukowski has a great blog post about what to expect from launching a Steam page. The key point is that games with the potential to perform well will usually gather >150 wishlists in the first 2 weeks. If you get less, something is likely wrong.
I had no reason to expect that I’d surpass the 150 wishlist threshold, let alone gather 700+ wishlists in the first 2 weeks! It’s no viral hit, but certainly more than I hoped for.
This post outlines how I went about it, what worked, and what didn’t.

Prepping for the Announcement

Folk Emerging started off as a procedural map generator in November 2021, running in a janky, slow Python notebook. It evolved into a game and I switched to Unity in February 2022, but it was still a hobby project and progress was slow.
I initially thought it would be good to delay talking about the game until I had a playable demo to share. However, I spent most of my free time in 2022 banging my head against Unity and getting core systems working (e.g. tribes, individuals, foodwebs, cultures, shaders, UI, etc). By the end of the year, a quality demo still felt far away and I still hadn’t started marketing the game.
When I was laid-off in November 2022, I used the opportunity to switch to working full-time on this project for a couple of months. I finally decoupled the marketing from the demo, and prioritized getting out a Steam page. I should have done this way earlier.

Twitter
In December 2022, I joined Twitter (@CuriousDynamics), started networking with people in the industry, and sharing the first tidbits of the game with the world.
This proved very useful because it got me making screenshots, GIFs, and videos. It helped focus my gamedev efforts on the elements that would best help marketing (e.g. finalizing the art style, showing a variety of environments, clarifying the core gameplay loops).
I made sure to connect with other gamedevs in related genres, journalists who’d written about similar games, and others across the industry. I found friendly communities like #TurnBasedThursday and got a sense of which aspects of the game attracted the most/least attention.

Reddit
I refrained from sharing anything about the game on Reddit during this period, so that when it came time to announce, I would be able to post on the big gaming-related subreddits without breaking their rules (only 10% of your site-wide posts can be self-promo).
One common marketing tip is to make random unrelated posts (e.g. cat pictures) to “save up” for self-promo. I don’t have a cat and don’t enjoy posting just for the sake of it, so I’ve tried to find topics I’m actually interested in and post questions to the AskXYZ subreddits. For example, I’m curious about history / anthropology / biology, so I’ve been posting questions in communities like AskAnthropology and have learned a lot in the process.

Steam Page Assets
The top priority was making the Steam page assets (art, trailer, GIFs, descriptions), so I focused on polishing the UI and gameplay enough to be presentable. The fine folks over at the How To Market A Game discord gave very useful feedback — it’s a community every gamedev should check out! Also be sure to check out Chris Zukowski’s excellent free class on How To Make A Steam Page.
For the art, I worked with a professional artist, and we took our time to ensure the Steam capsules captured the vibe of the game.
For the “About this Game” section of the Steam page, I narrowed down 4 core elements of the gameplay, and made a GIF, custom section header, and paragraph for each one. GIF files can’t be too large on Steam, so I had to find a balance between GIF quality and file size.
In the text, I tried to speak directly to the player, focusing on thematically-significant action verbs, e.g. “Lead our ancestors”, “Grow your tribe”, “Honor Mother Nature”.
I spent weeks on the short description of the game, asking friends, family, and internet strangers for feedback. It’s tricky to establish genre, sell the hook(s), and make it exciting all in under 300 characters. The current version is #23, and will certainly keep evolving:
Lead nomadic families through the Stone Age in this turn-based 4X strategy game with deeply simulated characters, cultures, and ecosystems. Explore the wilderness, gather and trade resources, and stand your ground in tactical combat. Discover fire, medicine, language — and survive to tell the tale.
In terms of tags, I studied those used by games next to which I want my game to appear (e.g. on Steam’s “More Like This” widget). I fiddled with the order of the tags until I could see the desired reference games in my own “More Like This” section.

Trailer
For the trailer, I consumed most of Derek Lieu’s content on making video game trailers, and got some useful feedback from Derek himself on his Video Game Trailer Academy discord (as well as from my HTMAG buddies).
I ended up making two trailers: a longer one with more in-depth gameplay for the Steam page, and a shorter one optimized for social media with a mini-teaser montage at the start, as recommended by Derek.

Choosing an announce day
By February 2023, all the pieces were in place to launch the Steam page. I had gathered ~200 followers on Twitter, and I’d tried to make genuine personal connections wherever possible. In the week before the announcement, I reached out to many of them individually, asking if they would be open to retweeting the announcement. Most said yes!
I was keen to get going and planned to make the announcement on Friday Feb 24th, so a few days prior I posted a teaser, which quickly became my most engaged-with tweet up until then.
However, people more experienced than me strongly advised me to wait till the following Monday because 3 massive games were coming out that weekend. I felt silly because I’d already said it would be Friday, but I chose to take the advice and wait a couple more days.

Steam Page Launch Day

Twitter
I quietly put up the Steam page a day early just to make sure everything ran smoothly, and on Monday Feb 27th ~6AM EST, I made the announcement on Twitter and shared the page.
Announcement Tweet analytics: Impressions 13,956, Engagements 706, Detail expands 132, New followers 6, Profile visits 71, Link clicks 135.
Again, not viral but more than I hoped for. 135 link clicks seems decent for Twitter!
I made sure to follow up with everyone who retweeted my announcement, and I thanked them via DM, also offering to return the favor if they need support down the line.

Reddit
I made two Reddit posts, one on civ and one on gaming, which combined got ~150k views and led to ~81 visits to the Steam page.
I chose gaming (36M members) rather than pcmasterrace (7M) or pcgaming (3M) because of their larger community size and also because I got the (totally subjective) sense they tend to be a bit friendlier towards indies. I poked light-hearted fun at the “quit my job to make this game” trope to avoid some of the negative responses such posts can get, and it seemed to pay off :) That post got 213 upvotes, 77.7k views, and 88% upvote rate.
On civ, my post got 1.2k upvotes, 88.8k views, and 92% upvote rate. There are some important differences between the games but I do think certain Civilization players would enjoy Folk Emerging.
I messaged the Reddit mods before self-promoting in their communities, which seemed to help things go over well. Another thing that seemed to help (on both Reddit and Twitter) was responding to every comment I got, and trying to get a discussion going wherever possible. It bumped up my posts when their views would start to drop.

Press
I also posted a press release at Games Press. If you plan to do the same, just make sure you create your account in advance as it took almost a day to get processed, which I hadn't planned for! I got some help from people on the HTMAG discord (e.g. Jasmine) with the wording, as I’d never written a press release before.

Several other sites have also written about it since then, largely based on the press release it seems.
I emailed / messaged about a dozen journalists who’d written about similar games, as well as various streamers who play them, sharing the news about the announcement. I first made a general email template with a short GIF at the top, and I wrote a personalized intro for each person. I made sure to give some context about why I was reaching out to them (e.g. they’d reviewed a specific game similar to mine, or they were involved in a project I’m a fan of, etc). It didn’t lead to anything, but still, I’m happy to potentially be on some of their radars.

Misc
I also posted in self-promo channels on various discords, but with little to no effect.
The final thing I did was to add a Steam news event about the launch, just to make the page look more fleshed out. It caught me off-guard that Steam events require their own separate images (with different resolutions than the regular capsules) for events, so keep that in mind if doing it for the first time.

Indie Sunday (Games)
I think my Indie Sunday reddit post accounts for ~270 visits to the Steam page (more visits than from the earlier 2 reddit posts, but less wishlists).
I went down the rabbit-hole of investigating the best time of day to post on Indie Sunday. I wanted to go beyond just the info found via tools like social-rise.com, because their recommendations are based on the timing of the top 1000 posts in a subreddit, without taking into account the distribution or total number of posts in each hour. If most posts in general happen at 1PM, then it might not be so meaningful to say that most top posts are at 1PM.
I was curious to dig deeper, so I did my own analysis using Reddit’s API. Here’s the data filtered for Indie Sunday Games posts (times are in UTC):

Next Steps

An exciting moment was when a legit publisher reached out to me, having seen the game on Steam, and expressed interest in exploring the possibility of working together!
Seeing a positive response from players and getting some attention from publishers has been a big confidence boost and suggests that the game has some potential. Which is a relief, because this is the game I want to make :)

The blockchain is generally associated with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but these are just the tip of the iceberg. This technology, which has its origins in 1991 when Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta described the first work on a cryptographically secured blockchain, did not become noticeable until 2008, when it became popular with the advent of Bitcoin. But currently its use is being demanded in other commercial applications and an annual growth of 51% is projected for 2022 in various markets, such as financial institutions or the Internet of Things (IoT), according to MarketWatch.
Why is the blockchain so secure?
Being a distributed technology, where each network node stores an exact copy of the chain, the availability of information is guaranteed at all times. In the event that an attacker wanted to cause a denial of service, they would have to take down all the nodes on the network, since it is enough for at least one to be operational for the information to be available.
On the other hand, as it is a consensual registry where all the nodes contain the same information, it is almost impossible to alter it, ensuring its integrity. If an attacker wanted to modify the information in the blockchain, they would have to modify the entire chain in at least 51% of the nodes.
Blockchain technology allows us to store information that can never be lost, modified or deleted. Finally, since each block is mathematically linked to the next block, once a new one is added to the chain, it becomes unchangeable. If a block changes its relationship with the chain, it breaks. That is to say, that all the information registered in the blocks is immutable and perpetual. In addition, each network node uses certificates and digital signatures to verify the information and validate the transactions and data stored in the blockchain, which makes it possible to ensure the authenticity of said information.
In this way, we can think of blockchain as a scribe. A means to certify and validate any type of information. A reliable, decentralized registry, resistant to data manipulation, and where everything is registered.
Today, we are used to centralized models. We give all our information to companies like Google or Facebook to manage it, we send all our messages through the Telegram or WhatsApp servers so that they take care of sending them or we spend fortunes on notaries and institutions to certify and save our deeds or important documents. In blockchain the data is distributed in all the nodes of the network. As there is no central node, everyone participates equally, storing and validating all the information. It is a very powerful tool to communicate and store information in a reliable way; a decentralized model where the information is ours, since we do not depend on a company that provides the service.
What does blockchain technology offer?
The greatest advantage offered by blockchain technology is the reduction of costs, but to this are added some more: trust, security, efficiency, veracity and transparency. With all of them, the blockchain forms a technology to be used by companies to advance together with the new innovations offered by the market.

1. Misuse of blockchain technology.

2. Assume that the technology is ready for use in production.
The blockchain platform market is huge and largely made up of fragmented offerings trying to differentiate themselves in various ways. Some focus on confidentiality, others on tokenization, others on universal computing. Most are too immature for the large-scale production work that comes with accompanying systems and requirements, security, and network management services. However, this will change in the coming years. CIOs should monitor the evolution of blockchain platform capabilities and align blockchain project duration accordingly.
3. Confusing a protocol with a business solution.
Blockchain is a basic technology that can be used in a variety of industries and scenarios, from supply chain to management and medical information systems. It is not a complete application, as it must also include features such as the user interface, business logic, data persistence, and interoperability mechanisms. “When it comes to blockchain, there is an implicit assumption that base-level technology is not far off from a full application solution. This is not the case. Blockchain is understood more as a protocol to perform a certain task within a complete application. No one will assume that one protocol can be the sole foundation for an entire e-commerce system or social network.”
4. View Blockchain simply as a database or storage mechanism.
Blockchain technology was designed to provide a trusted and immutable record of events arising from a dynamic collection of untrusted parties. In its current form, blockchain technology does not implement the full “create, read, update, delete” model found in conventional database management technology. Instead, only “create” and “read” are supported. “CIOs should assess the data management requirements of their blockchain project. A conventional data management solution might be the best option in some cases.”
5. Assume that interoperability standards exist.
While some blockchain technology platform providers talk about interoperability with other blockchains, it is hard to imagine interoperability when most platforms and their underlying protocols are still being designed or developed. Organizations should view vendor discussions regarding interoperability as a marketing ploy. It is supposed to benefit the competitive position of the provider, but will not necessarily provide benefits to the end-user organization. “Never select a blockchain platform with the expectation that it will interface with next year’s technology from a different vendor.”
6. Assume that smart contract technology is a solved problem.
Smart contracts are perhaps the most powerful aspect of blockchain enabling technologies. They add dynamic behavior to transactions. Conceptually, smart contracts can be understood as stored procedures that are associated with specific transaction records. But unlike a stored procedure in a centralized system, smart contracts are executed by all nodes in the peer-to-peer network, creating scalability and manageability challenges that have yet to be fully addressed. Smart contract technology will still undergo significant changes. CIOs shouldn’t plan for full adoption yet, but run small experiments first.
7. Ignore governance issues.
While governance issues on private or permissioned blockchains will generally be handled by the blockchain owner, the situation is different with public blockchains. “Governance on public blockchains like Ethereum and Bitcoin is primarily aimed at technical issues. Human behaviors or motivation are rarely addressed. CIOs need to be aware of the risk that blockchain governance issues can pose to the success of their project. Especially large organizations should consider joining or forming consortia to help define governance models for public blockchain.”
According to a survey by the consulting firm Deloitte, 74% of the companies consulted see blockchain as an improvement for the business and plan to invest in this technology, while almost half of these already have some implementation of blockchain in their business.
Undoubtedly, blockchain makes the immutable and decentralized layer that the Internet has always dreamed of a reality. A technology that allows you to remove trust from the equation and replace it with mathematical truth.
Everything is hackable online as no system can be called perfect. Decentralized networks have their loopholes, too and some blockchain risks can’t be easily eliminated. Nevertheless, cyber security professionals can make a whale of a difference by minimizing them.

Greetings, Wondering if anyone else have seen our scenario last two weeks? We have had 7 situations were the client (Windows server 2019/2022 fully patched, static assigned IP) have deleted it owns A record, much similar with this one (except the windows versions..) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/dns-host-record-of-a-computer-is-deleted-after-you-change-the-dns-server-assignment-f132a1fe-4867-df2b-a5fc-37557990d518
The 7 situations have happened in 7 different ADs/VLAN with no connection to each other. DNS Scavaging is configured. The one oddly thing is that all these 7 servers are RD/GW/CB in a RDS farm (not the same farm, we have a farm in each AD/VLAN).
Extremely weird and frustrating - any ideas? We have enabled DNS Client Events logging on two servers in a VLAN were it has not occurred yet.
The solution so far has been to simple run "ipconfig /registerdns".
