đ·
Introduction
As the world becomes more environmentally conscious, the demand for renewable energy sources has increased. Solar generators are a popular choice for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint and save money on energy bills. However, with so many options available, it can be overwhelming to choose the right one. As an expert in the energy storage industry, I have compiled a list of 10 things to consider before buying solar generators for sale.
1. Power Output
The power output of a solar generator is measured in watts and determines how much energy it can produce. Consider your energy needs and choose a generator with a power output that meets those needs. Keep in mind that the higher the power output, the more expensive the generator will be.
2. Battery Capacity
The battery capacity of a solar generator determines how long it can provide power. Consider how long you will need the generator to run and choose one with a battery capacity that meets those needs. Keep in mind that the higher the battery capacity, the more expensive the generator will be.
3. Portability
If you plan on using your solar generator for outdoor activities or emergencies, portability is important. Consider the weight and size of the generator and choose one that is easy to transport.
4. Charging Time
The charging time of a solar generator determines how long it takes to fully charge the battery. Consider how often you will need to charge the generator and choose one with a charging time that meets those needs.
5. Solar Panel Compatibility
Some solar generators come with built-in solar panels, while others require external panels. Consider whether you want a generator with built-in panels or if you already have external panels that you want to use.
6. Durability
If you plan on using your solar generator for outdoor activities or emergencies, durability is important. Consider the materials used to make the generator and choose one that is built to last.
7. Warranty
Like any electronic device, solar generators can malfunction. Consider the warranty offered by the manufacturer and choose one with a warranty that meets your needs.
8. Price
Solar generators can range in price from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Consider your budget and choose a generator that meets your needs without breaking the bank.
9. Customer Reviews
Before making a purchase, read customer reviews to get an idea of the generator's performance and reliability. Look for reviews from customers who have used the generator in similar situations to yours.
10. Brand Reputation
Consider the reputation of the brand before making a purchase. Look for brands with a history of producing high-quality, reliable products.
Conclusion
Choosing the right solar generator can be overwhelming, but by considering these 10 factors, you can make an informed decision. Remember to consider your energy needs, budget, and intended use before making a purchase. For more information on
solar generators for sale, visit None.

2023.05.31 03:04 Jumpy_Inflation_7648 Miscellaneous ideas for a new saga set thirty years after the Skywalker Saga (my ST rewrite in a nutshell).
- The First Order fills a role similar to that of the Separatists from the PT: a villain faction that becomes irrelevant once a deadlier faction appears.
- The third film ends with the Undead Empire showing up from the Unknown Regions and laying waste to the defeated First Order and wage war with the New Republic.
- The second trilogy centers around the heroes trying to end the war and free Coruscant from Abeloth and the Undead in Episode IX.
- Thrawnâs goal is to take over the galaxy and prepare it for war with Abeloth, but would not anticipate her arriving sooner than he anticipated. He would be trying to build a fleet using the Star Forge, an ancient, automated shipyard in the Unknown Regions. It draws energy and matter from a nearby star and uses dark side power from Exegol to create ships. The Star Forge would be the First Orderâs main base of operations instead of Starkiller Base or the Supremacy.
- 25 years after ROTJ, Thrawn unites the scattered remnants of the Galactic Empire into the First Order, a smaller military junta interested in galactic domination. His backstory would be covered in several Disney Plus shows prior to the saga. Several other tidbits would be covered like the formation of Jedi Praxeum, the New Republic, and the fate of the Mandalorians.
- Kylo Renâs fall to the dark side would also be covered in a Disney Plus show called Jedi Reborn.
- Lukeâs Jedi Academy, Jedi Praxeum, differs from the Jedi Order in the PT. Instead of being a militarized, monastic order, Jedi Praxeum is a smaller, independent institute spread across the galaxy, with its members patrolling galactic frontiers like vigilantes or Texas Rangers. It is also an open-door organization, allowing anyone of any age to become Jedi. Now, Jedi Praxeum wasnât always this way. It was initially assembled as a unified Jedi Academy like the old Jedi Order. But after Ben Solo, Luke Skywalkerâs first pupil, turned to the dark side, destroyed the Temple on Ossus, and killed one-third of the students, Luke realized that his small Jedi Academy was vulnerable. He and the other Jedi decided it was best for them to settle in different star systems across the galaxy to make it harder for future enemies to find and destroy them. They wanted to avoid repeating the mistake of the old Jedi Order. They became so complacent that they couldnât stop Palpatine from becoming Emperor and wiping them out during Order 66. After Ben turned on the academy, Jedi Praxeum scattered across the galaxy. Instead of directly involving themselves with the New Republic and local planetary forces, the Jedi mostly keep watch of people from a distance, only stepping in to help when necessary. Otherwise, they mostly spend time helping themselves and each other connect with the Force. Because of this, the Jedi are a rarity in the galaxy. Although the Jedi will provide humanitarian aid to the New Republic, they donât serve them like the Jedi of Old did with the Old Republic. This is to avoid complacency during times of peace. However, when vital matters must be addressed, the Jedi are called to Ahch-To for group meetings with Luke Skywalker. They will only unify when it is absolutely necessary.
- Thrawn is imprisoned with other remaining First Order officers by the New Republic at the end of the saga.
- Kylo Ren remains a villain throughout the whole saga. The moment he crosses the point of no return is when he kills Abeloth and siphons her powers for himself, much like Doctor Doom stealing the Beyonderâs powers in Marvelâs Secret Wars.
- Kylo Ren acts as an opportunist in the second trilogy. After killing Han Solo at the end of the third film, he goes into hiding when the Undead Empire invades the galaxy. Kylo would become a fugitive and continue to sink further into the dark side while in exile. He seeks out ancient knowledge in Darth Vaderâs castle and on other planets strong in the Force. One of the things he discovers is how to defeat Abeloth.
- At one point during the second trilogy, Anakin Skywalker visits Kylo Ren and tries to bring him back to the light.
- Rey trains Finn in the ways of the Force during the second trilogy. The first trilogy is about Finn breaking away from the First Orderâs indoctrination, and the second is about him becoming a Jedi.
- In Jedi Reborn, Ben Solo comes to believe that Darth Vader would have made a better leader than Palpatine. But that he ruined his career by redeeming himself in ROTJ. Ben feels that Vader was weak for giving into sentiment, and decides that he must carry on his legacy by destroying the Jedi and becoming as powerful as him. Maybe while heâs under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker, Ben wishes that the Jedi involved themselves in the affairs of the Republic like the old Jedi Order did. He wants them to be active peacekeepers instead of negotiators (this is before they scatter).
- Abeloth is very different than how she was in the old EU. Instead, she is a 7,000 year old alien who lived during the Old Republic Era. At one point during her youth, she got corrupted by the dark side, and attempted to harness the power of the Sith Temple on Coruscant or Mortis. She formed an army of followers and traversed the galaxy murdering anyone who stood in her path. But she was stopped and banished from the galaxy by the Jedi Order. Out in the Unknown Regions, Abeloth continued to grow in the dark side, becoming a demigod and using Dark Side Alchemy to create an army of undead foot soldiers. Her powers include telepathy/mind control, Force drain, and resurrecting the dead. Think less of the EU Abeloth and more of Tor Valum from DOTF. Her undead army is sensed by Palpatine during the Imperial Era, which motivates him to launch an exploration campaign into the Unknown Regions to find the source of the presence. Thrawn would lead this campaign and form the First Order out of the remnants of the Galactic Empire to bring down the Undead Empire.
- Thrawn and the Chiss have a dark history with Abeloth and the Undead Empire. Before Abeloth was exiled by the Jedi Order, she invaded the Chiss homeworld and massacred with the help of her followers. When Palpatine senses them in the Unknown Regions and has Thrawn go out and investigate the presence, Thrawn discovers what it is and forms the First Order. Holding a personal vendetta against Abeloth for murdering his ancestors, the Chiss seeks to dominate the New Republic so that he can prepare the galaxy for war.
- Finn leads a Stormtrooper rebellion at the end of the third film, and the defected Stormtroopers side with the New Republic in their battle against the Undead Empire during the second trilogy.
- Luke Skywalker gets blinded by Ben Solo during a duel after he turns to the dark side.
- When Abeloth returns to the galaxy, she seeks out the power of Mortis or the Sith Temple hidden underneath the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

2023.05.31 03:02 c0pp3rhead 2016 Toyota Prius - A/C Issues
Since the switch from cool to hot weather, my air conditioner has been having issues. I do not know if the issue with my a/c started before it got hot. I wouldn't have noticed because it was too cold to use the a/c. However, I started to notice a possibly related issue towards the end of winteearly spring. When I started my car, I could not turn on or change the settings of my heating/air conditioning when I first started the car. The display would show only the little icon of the seated person, but no arrows indicating airflow or bars showing how hard the fans were blowing. I could not turn the a/c setting, recirculating air setting, fan speed, temperature, defrost setting, etc. on or off. The car's hvac was just off - like it was tripped out. When it was cold, turning the car off then on again fixed the issue, the heat would start, hot air would blow like normal, and all the settings could be changed and adjusted (as best I could tell when the hvac was running only in heat). If I had to hop in the car and go, the system would remain tripped out until between around 15s to 1m of the car running/driving. Sometimes it would switch on automatically, and sometimes I would have to press the Off and Auto (there is no plain 'On' button) a few times to get it going.
Now that it is hot, the a/c is having issues. The problem is that the a/c only works when the car is idling. When I first start the car, the system is still tripped out at first, just like when I was only running the heater. After restarting the car or driving for just a short time, the HVAC system will start. When the car is in motion, it blasts HOT air. Not warm air, not ambient-temperature air, hot air almost like it's venting air straight from the motor. And it's not just when the system is On. Even when I hit the 'Off' button, the system still vents HOT air into the cabin. I cannot tell if the fans are running or not. The system will vent HOT air into the cabin regardless of what settings I change. Lowering the fan speed all the way down still blasts hot air into the cabin. If I lower the fan speed all the way down then turn the system off, I get the same thing. Recirculate air on/off doesn't make a difference. Turning the temperature all the way down or all the way up, system on or system off makes no difference. When the car does come to a stop, it will finally switch back over to a/c, but it seems weaker than it used to. It may be that some components are still hot from the furnace-temperature air, or it may be that the a/c isn't working efficiently - I cannot tell which.
The refrigerant levels in the system are good, and I have changed the cabin air filters. I work in the HVAC industry, but not as a field technician. My two guesses (please be kind - I barely know what I'm talking about here. I'm just spitballing) are either an airflow issue or a power issue. Perhaps there is some sort of vent or actuator that is not working properly, which is either being forced open and allowing hot air from the motor to vent into the system -or- being forced closed when the car is in motion and preventing airflow. If it's not an airflow issue, my fear is that there is an electrical issue. Is it possible that when the engine is running, there is not enough power for the compressor or a control board? My car has enough mileage on it that it's possible that the big hybrid car battery is dying, which might cause power issues.
I plan on taking it into the shop next week if there's nothing I can do myself.

2023.05.31 03:02 jryad I found a copy on my phone...
So I edited it and published it on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Ellen-White-Cult-Extremist-Altered-ebook/dp/B0BVJDDLM4/ Synopsis:
This book is not for the faint of heart. If you are easily triggered by religious trauma please hit back now and do not purchase this book. If you are ready for a journey into the depths of religious guilt, deception, legalism, and trauma, please continue reading.
This is a true story that is all too common (just not written about enough).
The Seventh-Day Adventist church has a problem with extremist offshoots. This book looks closely at one of them. Countryside Sabbath Fellowship looked like any other church. But on the inside, it was a den of intrigue and conspiracy. The deification of their prophetess, Ellen White, an insistence on complete perfection, fear of a Jesuit infiltration, and claiming that they were a select remnant, handpicked by God Himself were just a few of the teachings of a power-hungry pastor. Sermons that left a worse aftertaste than the weekly vegan potluck were part and parcel of this fringe movement. The words of God were twisted. Members were groomed to believe that they could prepare for the imminent persecution and government population control through country living, healthy diets, and anti-Catholic books written by Bill Hughes. Even Walter Vieth made an appearance. Talk about a star-studded cast of first-class fringes!
I spent 10 years as a missionary in the church, exposed to a spectrum of beliefs. My journey took me to Eastern Europe and the Nile Union Academy high school in the middle east, and finally training with a well-known missionary organization before I started to open my eyes to the dark reality that was in front of me.
The Ellen White Cult explores my familyâs time as insiders of this megalomaniacal church and how I coped with an incredibly unloving and legalistic form of religion. Extremism is a massive problem surrounding and even consuming the Seventh-day Adventist church, and few places highlighted that extremism is better than Countryside. After five years of attendance and research, I realized that it was time to tell my story. This book is that story. It will take you on a behind-the-scenes tour of what life in a fringe cult is like. There are many of these such churches. Buckle up, dear reader, because youâre in for one eye-opening ride

2023.05.31 03:01 AutoModerator What are the benefits and side effects of Ashwagandha?
What is ashwagandha?
The ashwagandha plant is one of
the most powerful herbs. Various parts of the ashwagandha plant are used for medicinal purposes, with ashwagandha extract mainly being used in supplements. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, a natural agent that reportedly helps the body cope with stress. As a result, itâs believed to be effective at helping reduce levels of the stress hormone, cortisol. It may also therefore potentially help with anxiety and depression too.
What does ashwagandha do?
Reduces Stress and Anxiety Ashwagandha is known to help reduce stress and anxiety. One way it does this is by reducing levels of cortisol, a hormone that is released in response to stress. Additionally, ashwagandha has been shown to improve mood and cognitive function, both of which can be negatively affected by stress.
Enhances Cognitive Function Ashwagandha has also been shown to improve cognitive function. One study showed that it improved memory and reaction time in healthy adults. Another study found that it improved task performance in people with ADHD. Additionally, ashwagandha may help prevent age-related cognitive decline.
Boosts Energy Levels Ashwagandha has been shown to boost energy levels. One study showed that it increased stamina and reduced fatigue in people with chronic fatigue syndrome. Additionally, ashwagandha may help improve exercise performance.
Additionally, ashwagandha may also help improve sleep quality and reduce inflammation. These effects can all contribute to enhanced energy levels.
Regulates Blood Sugar Levels Ashwagandha has been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels. One study showed that it improved insulin sensitivity in people with type II diabetes. Additionally, ashwagandha may help reduce fasting blood sugar levels and improve symptoms of diabetes.
Additionally, ashwagandha may also help lower cholesterol levels and protect against heart disease. These effects can also contribute to improved blood sugar control.
Lowers Blood Pressure Ashwagandha has been shown to help lower blood pressure. One study showed that it improved blood pressure in people with hypertension. Additionally, ashwagandha may help reduce stress and anxiety, both of which can contribute to high blood pressure.
Is ashwagandha safe? Ashwagandha is generally considered safe for most people. However, it can cause side effects such as stomach upset, diarrhea, and vomiting in some people. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, it's best to avoid ashwagandha.
What happens when you take ashwagandha daily? As a sleep aid, ashwagandha may help people get to sleep faster and stay asleep for longer. It is also used to promote male potency. Ashwagandha has a variety of health benefits, including reduced blood sugar levels, inflammation, mood, memory, stress and anxiety relief, as well as an increase in muscle strength and fertility. Depending on your requirements, dosages vary from 250 to 500 mg per day for at least one month.
When it comes to stress relief, ashwagandha may be as effective as some prescription medications. A 2010 study found that the herb was just as effective as lorazepam (Ativan) in reducing stress and anxiety. click the link below to learn more about abhwagandha, and its real health benefits.

2023.05.31 03:00 Eddtheartist16 Sachiko "Sonic" Hakuta Character Bio (This is an OC inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog)
Name: Sachiko âSonicâ Hakuta
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Birthday: June 23
Quirk: Sonic Speed
Appearance: Sonic is of average height and has an athletic build. She has an olive skin tone, spiky blue hair, piercing green eyes, and a smile that can range from friendly to cocky. For her regular outfit, she wears a beige shirt that has the word âSpeedâ on it in big bold blue letters, over her beige shirt she wears a cobalt blue bomber jacket that fits perfectly on her and plain white fingerless gloves. For the bottom half of her outfit, she wears soft cobalt blue sweatpants, white socks, and red high-top Nike shoes with white laces and yellow-colored soles.
Personality: Sachiko is a complex and multifaceted individual, with both strengths and weaknesses that make her unique. On one hand, she can come off as a loudmouth, cocky, rebellious, impulsive, petty, and impatient. She's a thrill seeker who enjoys pushing herself to the limits, and she's always up for a challenge.
However, beneath her tough exterior, Sachiko is also a loyal, brave, and heroic individual who will stop at nothing to protect her friends and loved ones. She's quick thinking, introspective, and always willing to learn from her mistakes. She has a kind and compassionate heart, and she genuinely cares about the people around her.
Sachiko is a charismatic individual who can easily win people over with her bold and confident personality. However, her recklessness and impulsive nature can sometimes lead her into dangerous or unpredictable situations. Despite this, she's resourceful and able to come up with innovative solutions to problems, even in high-pressure situations.
Sachiko's carefree and easygoing nature makes her enjoy games, jokes, and other forms of lighthearted fun. At the same time, her perceptiveness and a keen eye for detail allow her to pick up on subtle cues and clues that others might miss. All in all, Sachiko is a dynamic and interesting individual with a lot of potential for growth and development throughout her journey at UA.
Hero outfit: Sachiko's hero outfit is a combination of practicality and flashiness, designed to help her channel her Sonic-inspired powers to the fullest. Her outfit is primarily composed of sleek blue and white armor, with red accents that match her high-top Nike shoes.
To help her move at superspeed, Sachiko's shoes are customized with special materials that can withstand the intense friction and heat generated by her powers. They are fitted with white, silver, and red accents that give them a futuristic look, and they have a specialized sole that helps her maintain her grip on any surface.
Her hi-tech glasses are designed to protect her eyes from debris and wind resistance, which can be hazardous at high speeds. The lenses are made of durable and scratch-resistant materials, and they have a sleek silver frame that complements her armor.
Sachiko's energy supplements are compact and easy to carry, providing her with the boost she needs to run longer and faster. They are contained in a small pouch attached to her waistband, with the pouch designed to blend seamlessly with her armor.
Overall, Sachiko's hero outfit is designed to be both functional and eye-catching, with a nod to her Sonic-inspired powers. It's a perfect representation of her personality and abilities, allowing her to tackle any challenge that comes her way with style and confidence.
Quirk: Sachiko's quirk is called Sonic Speed, and it allows her to move at superhuman velocities that far exceed those of any other person. She can run, jump, and move at a speed that makes her seem like a blur to the naked eye, with agility and reflexes that match her speed.
At her maximum speed, Sachiko can move at an incredible Mach 3, which is roughly 2,300 miles per hour. This allows her to run across vast distances in seconds, dodge attacks with ease, and deliver incredibly powerful blows to her enemies.
However, such incredible speed comes with its drawbacks. Sachiko's body generates an immense amount of heat when she moves at high speeds, which can cause her to overheat and become exhausted if she exerts herself too much.
Additionally, her powers make her less effective in close combat, as her high speed can make it difficult for her to maintain her balance and land blows accurately.
Despite these drawbacks, Sachiko's Sonic Speed has many creative applications. She can use her speed to create sonic booms that disorient and damage her enemies, run up walls and across ceilings, and even create cyclones with her movements. Also, she can run on walls and across water, and can even use her momentum to generate powerful kicks and punches.
Sachiko is aware of the untapped potential of her quirk, and she holds back on purpose during battles to make them more challenging and interesting. She enjoys pushing herself to the limit and exploring new ways to use her powers creatively. She is always looking for new ways to improve her abilities and become an even better hero.
In short, Sachiko's Sonic Speed quirk is a powerful and versatile ability that allows her to move at incredible speeds and perform amazing feats of agility and strength. With practice and training, she has the potential to unlock even more untapped potential, and she is always striving to become a stronger, more effective hero.
Background: Sachiko was born into a family of superheroes. Her parents were both well-known heroes, with her mother possessing the power of flight and her father possessing super strength. Growing up, Sachiko was constantly surrounded by talk of heroism and the responsibilities that came with having a quirk. Despite their high expectations for her, Sachiko struggled to find her place in the world of heroism. Her parents' shadow loomed over her, and she felt that she would never be able to measure up to their legacy.
However, everything changed for Sachiko when she discovered her love for speed. She realized that her quirk, Sonic Speed, was not just a tool for transportation but could also be used to save lives and fight crime. She started practicing with her speed, pushing herself to see just how fast she could go. Her parents were initially hesitant about her new passion, fearing for her safety, but they eventually came around when they saw the determination in her eyes.
Sachiko enrolled at UA High School to hone her skills and become the hero she always knew she could be. She quickly became known as the fastest student in Class 1-A, impressing her peers and teachers alike with her speed and quick thinking. However, Sachiko held back in battles, preferring to make her fights last longer and be more challenging. She knew that if she went all-out, her fights would be over too quickly, and she didn't want to disappoint anyone. She was always looking for ways to improve and to find new ways to use her quirk.
Despite the pressure of her parents' legacy and the expectations placed on her as a hero, Sachiko remained true to herself. She was independent, creative, and always willing to help those in need. She knew that being a hero wasn't just about having a powerful quirk but also about having a strong moral compass and a desire to make the world a better place. Sachiko was determined to use her quirk to do just that.
Strengths:
- Superspeed: Sachiko's quirk, Sonic Speed, is incredibly powerful and allows her to move at lightning-fast speeds. This makes her an excellent asset in battles and allows her to quickly come to the aid of those in need.
- Quick thinking: Sachiko's superspeed requires her to be quick on her feet both physically and mentally. She is able to think and react quickly, making her a formidable opponent in battles.
- Courageous: Sachiko has a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect those around her. She is not afraid to put herself in harm's way if it means saving others.
- Loyal: Sachiko values her friendships and relationships deeply. She is fiercely loyal to those she cares about and will go to great lengths to protect them.
- Creativity: Sachiko is always looking for new ways to use her quirk and find solutions to problems. She is a creative thinker and is not afraid to try out new approaches.
- Independent: Sachiko is confident in her abilities and does not rely on others to get things done. She is self-sufficient and can handle challenges on her own.
- Adaptable: Sachiko is able to adjust quickly to changing circumstances and can think on her feet. She is not thrown off by unexpected challenges and can adapt to new situations easily.
Weaknesses:
- Overconfidence: Sachiko's cocky and impulsive nature can sometimes make her overestimate her abilities. This can lead her to make careless mistakes or underestimate her opponents.
- Impatience: Sachiko's desire to be constantly moving can sometimes lead to impatience and a lack of focus. This can be a weakness in battles where strategy and patience are necessary.
- Stamina: Sachiko's quirk, Sonic Speed, requires a lot of physical energy and can quickly tire her out. If she uses her quirk too much, she can become fatigued and less effective in battles.
- Vulnerability: Sachiko's superspeed makes her vulnerable to attacks that can catch her off guard. If her opponents can slow her down or find ways to trap her, she can be at a disadvantage.
- Dependence on her quirk: Sachiko's reliance on her quirk can sometimes lead her to neglect other aspects of her training. This can make her less effective in battles where she can't rely solely on her speed.
- Emotional impulsiveness: Sachiko's emotions can sometimes get the best of her, leading her to act impulsively or recklessly. This can make her unpredictable in battles and lead her to make risky decisions.
- Stubbornness: Sachiko's determination and independence can sometimes make her stubborn. She can be resistant to new ideas or approaches, which can limit her potential for growth and development.
Hobbies:
Running: As someone with superhuman speed, Sachiko loves to run and challenge herself to go faster and farther. Whether it's for exercise or just for fun, Sachiko enjoys pushing her limits and seeing just how fast she can go.
Music: Sachiko has a love for music, and can often be found listening to her favorite bands or playing her guitar. Music is a way for her to relax and unwind after a long day, or to get pumped up and ready for battles.
Gaming: Sachiko is a big fan of video games and enjoys exploring virtual worlds, especially those that are fast-paced and action-packed. She also enjoys playing games with her friends and family.
Exploring: Sachiko's adventurous spirit leads her to enjoy exploring new places, both in her local neighborhood and on school trips. She loves to discover new sights, sounds, and experiences.

2023.05.31 02:59 ChiefsHat PC Cast is a genuinely terrible writer.
I'm not singling out one of her books so much as her entire body of work because there's no way in hell she managed to produce a single good book in her life. Or one that didn't make me want to vomit.
Now, the writer GK Chesterton once said the following in his book, Heretics;
A good novel tells us the truth about its hero; but a bad novel tells us the truth about its author.
This is extremely true of PC Cast, who's clearly into new age Wiccanism, 'mother goddess' BS, and a ton of other stuff that includes lovely things like rape apologia.
Let me repeat that; rape. Apologia.
In her House of Night book series, which is gonna be a big focus of this review, the main charactehow-adults-write-teens Zoey Redbird - one of the most unpleasant 'fonts of empathy and compassion' ever created - goes through numerous boyfriends, often at the same time. One of them is her older teacher, Loren Blake, who she has steamy intimate moments with and eventually loses her virginity with. The scenes between her and Loren are... like... well... you know how people describe grooming? It's like that, it's grooming, actual, straight-up grooming. Zoey's into Loren because he makes her, a sixteen-year-old, feel like a woman. And he's hot.
There's also when she stumbles upon Aphrodite - who cannot be described for a page without being called a slut or a hag from hell or just an awful person because of reasons - tries to force a blowjob on her ex-boyfriend... and it's gross, not because it's attempted rape, but because...
I'll quote Zoey herself;
Yes, I was aware of the whole oral sex thing. I doubt if there's a teenager alive in America today who isn't aware that most of the adult public think we're giving guys blow jobs like they used to give guys gum (or maybe more appropriately suckers). Okay, that's just bullshit, and it's always made me mad. Of course there are girls who think it's "cool" to give guys head. Uh, they're wrong. Those of us with functioning brains know that it is not cool to be used like that.
Never mind that the guy is clearly saying no to Aphrodite's advances, throughout the entire ordeal, no, that never factors into why Aphrodite's a bad person. No, it's because she's a slut. And yes, she is the typical alpha bitch character we see in all teen dramas, to the point of having her own pair of followers. And guess what?
She ends up redeemed but still a bitch. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The main villain is Kalona - I'll get into some other unfortunate aspects of his character later on - who was the consort of the goddess Nyx (who's also Dawn, Spider-Woman, Kuan Yin, every powerful mother goddess figure, fantastic) but got jealous over her playmate Erebus so attacked them and was cast out ala Satan.
And everyone treats him tragically an sympathetically for this, going on about how he just wants the world he used to have back - even though he rapes an entire race, the Raven Mockers, into existence.
And I do mean rapes an entire race into existence. He used mind control powers to seduce countless women and rape them until they had his bastard spawn known as Raven Mockers. He was stopped when some Cherokee wise-women made him a special doll to love called Aya and trapped him. And guess what? Zoey is Aya's reincarnation. The only one in the series. So yes, Kalona is her love interest to the point of groping her tits at one point - again, teenage girl here - going "I know what you like, Aya" and then Zoey jumps off a cliff to escape him, but don't worry, this is all his seductive powers. The narrative never treats him as anything other than a tragic, flawed villain rather than a creepy-ass monster.
Zoey's final love interest is a guy called Stark, who also used mind control crap to rape women, but once Zoey sees he's good-looking, decides he can be redeemed... and then derides one of his victims, Becca, as a slut. For wanting to still hook up with him despite being attracted to him only because of his mind control powers. His past as a rapist is never, ever brought up again beyond calling it a "not-so-nice past."
And oh yeah, Raven Mockers, or KĂą'lanĂ» Ahkyeli'skĂŻ, are actual creatures in Cherokee mythology. Remember how I said Cherokee wise-women? Well... it's also set in Oklahoma, where Kalona was sealed. Note his name as well, and the first one for the Cherokee words for Raven Mockers. I'd also like to bring up now that Zoey Redbird is part Cherokee but this is just used to make her extra special and cool. Here's what her grandmother had to say when she becomes a vampire.
"That's not what I mean, baby. I'm not surprised you were Tracked and Marked. The Redbird blood has always held strong magic; it was only a matter of time before one of us was Chosen. What I mean is that it makes no sense that you were just Marked. The crescent isn't an outline. It's completely filled in.â
"That's impossible!â
"Look for yourself, U-we-tsi a-ge-hu-tsa." She used the Cherokee word for daughter, suddenly reminding me very much of a mysterious, ancient goddess.
I am so sorry to all Native Americans who had to read that. Its representation of Cherokee beliefs and mythology is so bastardized Disney's take on Natives in the original Peter Pan comes across as downright golden. It's the exact kind of 'oh, so mysterious and mystical' crap Natives have been trying to escape for years. Also, they're all neo-pagans because of course they are.
You're probably wondering how this book series tackles other issues, like homosexuality! I'll let the resident token character Damien introduce himself.
âActually, since I'm gay I think I should count for two guys instead of just one. I mean, in me you get the male point of view and you don't have to worry about me wanting to touch your boobies.â
He reminds you of his sexuality every. Fucking. Sentence. I'm not even kidding, it's hammered into your head like Patrick Bateman murdering Paul Allen. That's not an exaggeration, I swear, it's that forceful.
How does it tackle race? You know when POC characters are described as being food-colored for their skin? It's that. All the time.
I will note that Kristen Cast, P.C. Cast's daughter, is credited as a co-author... but I can tell this was mainly the mother's handiwork. I'd go on about the House of Night series, but I have better things to do than waste my life on something which outlived the far superior Twilight. (Yes, I can say that with a straight face.)
This bad writing ain't just limited to House of Night. From her Goddess Summoning series where modern-day women travel back in time to seduce greek gods and heroes!
Hades was the personification of dark and dangerous--a living, breathing Batman.
That's from Goddess of Spring.
Isabel's heart dropped right to her vagina and started throbbing there.
That's from Goddess of Legend, when our heroine meets King Arthur.
The British legendary hero King Arthur. In a series about Greek myths.
Then in Warrior Rising, where a woman gets sent to seduce Achilles, she uses hypnosis on him, jacks him off, yes it's called rape at one point, and the person who does it, her black best friend in a white slave woman's body (so much wrong with that) just goes "okay, whatever floats your diabolical boat!" and is fine with her best friend being a rapist.
This is what P.C. Cast decided made for good literature.
And somehow... she's a New York Times Bestseller. I am never trusting that description ever again.

2023.05.31 02:59 YouWantSumFuck99 Yâall I do NOT understand electrical. How do I make this work?
Ok ok ok say I have two 200W solar panels on top of the van. I want to run these solar panels to a portable power station pretty much permanently. The power station would be a 1500W - 2500W size. I would then want to power a fridge, microwave, a few lights and a laptop, so I would get a switch panel from Amazon, hook everything up and connect the switch panel to the portable power station. Assuming wires, the power station and everything is perfect and sized correctly, is this theoretically possible? Do I need a fuse panel? Why?
Iâve been watching videos all afternoon and it seems like everyone has a fuse panel but in a situation like the above, I wouldnât need one? Right?
Any help appreciated, my brain cannot process basic electrical and Iâm tired of being confused.

2023.05.31 02:57 jenniikinz Respect for partner needing time to be upset but not wanting them to go into a downward spiral.
Vulnerability ventpost ft. ADHD ramblings ahead.
Pertinent info to add: partner (M35) has ADHD and more than likely undiagnosed ASD, unmedicated, no therapy. I (F29) have ADHD and BPD, medicated for ADHD, attending therapy.
My partner just got let go of his job after almost two months; they said he "wasn't a right fit." Prior to this, he lost his job of 8 years. Understandably, he is quite upset over this. He struggles a lot with feeling like a failure, like the "disappointment of the family" and not having a stable career and financials at his age. The first job loss triggered a depressive episode that lasted a few weeks. This one has only been a couple of days (so far).
For some back story: I had a late diagnosis of ADHD and BPD at 27. I have been attending therapy consistently for almost a year now. I have made a lot of progress with certain struggles...emotional regulation and distress tolerance are still my biggest hurdles. However, I have recently realized (thanks to some self-improvement books and a few support subs) that I am actually still quite toxic...I have realized that I have/still have: abandonment issues, entitlement issues, control issues, victimized mentality, and frequently display selfishness via emotional manipulation in order to get my needs met...And even then most of the time it still doesn't work (obviously đ« ).
So last night when I came to these realizations, I took a moment to be vulnerable and accountable to my partner. I apologized to my partner for these things and stated my remorse for my actions. My partner is very understanding and loves me to death and I feel the same for him. But his response was I'm not toxic and he's "been with real toxic" and pretty much disagreeing with everything I was owning up to...Then said no one is perfect and he is also a pain in the ass to me (which he most definitely is but that's a whole other story lol). I let him know that he didn't need to dismiss these and counter with positive things because they are true and I wanted to own up to them. My goal is to work on these things. I know they won't get better overnight and it's going to be a long road but at least I'm in a place where I have the self-awareness and maturity to recognize that I am toxic and want to change.
ANYWAY. So he is obviously very upset over this happening to him yet again...and he is feeling very shitty over it. I want to give him the space and time for him to be upset over this because it's validating to process and grieve...and everyone processes things differently. But I don't want him to head into a negative spiral for weeks. We are already struggling financially and if he stays in this funk and doesn't hustle to find another job ASAP, we'll be even more screwed.
I don't want to be selfish and to push him when he's not ready yet but at the same time, I have learned with therapy, that you cannot give all your energy and power to depression and need to push through it or else it'll consume you. I just don't know what a "reasonable" amount of time would be. I want to show that I'm trying my hardest to work on my faults but also don't want to enable him. The struggle to find the balance is too real. đ
If anyone has read it through and made it this far, I appreciate you greatly. đ

2023.05.31 02:52 kaolin-angel Grave Security Breach and Unacceptable Negligence of Government Bodies
| News Submission: To whom it may concern, I bring to your immediate attention a scandalous situation of astonishing negligence by our government bodies, namely the Australian Passport Office (APO) and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). As a former Datacom employee, a contractor for the APO, I am raising the alarm about a gross mishandling of sensitive and classified information that puts the Australian public at a serious risk. In early April, I alerted the OAIC about a critical data breach that compromised both Datacom and the APO. The misuse of OpenAI's ChatGPT, a US-based AI technology, in processing highly sensitive APO correspondence resulted in unauthorized disclosure of personal and potentially classified information. This breach might be the Achilles heel of our national security, and its magnitude cannot be overstated. Despite my prompt and comprehensive report to the OAIC, this urgent matter was met with a disgraceful level of negligence. More than a month later, my report was still stuck in their system with no assigned case officer. This bureaucratic apathy is absolutely unacceptable and disturbing given the severity of the breach. Adding fuel to the fire, OpenAI has also experienced a data breach, escalating the risk levels exponentially. OpenAI users could access data from other user's dashboards, including ChatGPT interaction history, userâs full name, email address, and partial credit card details. This development, paired with the previous misuse of ChatGPT by Datacom management to process classified APO correspondence, raises the hair-raising likelihood that official secrets and policies may have been leaked. With the APO already handling the fallout of data breaches from other companies like Optus and Medibank, this added scandal is an outright blow to our trust and security. The government bodies have failed us tremendously and they must be held accountable. The Australian public deserves to be aware of the outrageous situation unfolding. We must insist on transparency, urgency, and accountability. I implore you to handle this information with the utmost seriousness it demands and aid in the pursuit of change and responsibility. For my safety and to maintain my professional and personal relationships, I request anonymity in any publications related to this information. I have taken significant personal risks to bring this critical matter to light. Moreover, in the spirit of transparency and to prevent this matter from being unjustly covered up, I have already shared this alarming situation with the wider online community. This step, while taken with extreme caution to preserve my anonymity and safety in the case of the government's unlawful attempts to suppress myself. This is driven by the belief that the gravity of this situation justifies such a move. The Australian public has a right to know about this shocking breach of trust and negligence by entities trusted with safeguarding their sensitive data. It is a truth that must be faced, and a story that demands to be told. Your understanding and cooperation in protecting my identity are deeply appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this grave matter. I trust in your dedication to public service and the pursuit of truth. Please find attached all relevant - unredacted - evidence and documents in confidence.Best Regards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OAIC Submission: Urgent Matter Regarding: Reckless Use of AI Technology at Datacom Posing Serious Security Risks To whom it may concern, I am writing to you as an ex-employee of Datacom, having left the company on the 6th of April 2023. I wish to remain anonymous due to the potential implications this matter could have on Datacom's relationship with the Australian Passport Office (APO). However, I am compelled by both legal and moral obligations under the Australian Public Interest Disclosure Act to bring an issue of great concern to your attention. This issue involves the misuse of artificial intelligence technology, specifically OpenAI's ChatGPT, by Datacom employees in handling sensitive APO data. Before delving into the specifics of the matter at hand, allow me to provide a brief background about myself. I studied IT and Engineering Sciences at Flinders University, with a focus on AI and robotics at the Tonsley Campus. Due to health complications, I was unable to complete my studies. Nevertheless, my background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of AI technology, which I believe sheds light on the gravity of this situation. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, is a powerful AI language model that generates human-like text based on user input. Its applications range from writing coherent and high-quality emails to spell-checking and contextualizing entire reports when fed the appropriate data. To comprehend the potential risks associated with ChatGPT, one must grasp how user input and generated output function in tandem with AI, as well as the process of training new models from predecessor models and internet data. Understanding the intricacies of AI training and its implications is essential. AI language models, like ChatGPT, are typically trained through a process called "fine-tuning," which involves feeding the AI model large datasets containing text from various sources, including user inputs and outputs, web pages, and other text-based media. This process allows the AI model to learn patterns, grammar, and context, thereby enabling it to generate coherent and contextually appropriate responses to user inputs. The potential risks associated with ChatGPT stem from the fact that sensitive and confidential information can inadvertently become part of the AI's training data. When users input sensitive data into the system, it may be incorporated into the AI model's knowledge base, leading to potential exposure or misuse of that information. Additionally, since the AI model learns from user inputs and outputs, it may inadvertently adopt biases, inaccuracies, or inappropriate content present in the training data. In the case of Datacom's use of ChatGPT for handling APO information, the risks become even more significant. The sensitive nature of the data being processed by the AI could lead to unintended breaches of privacy and confidentiality, as well as potential legal violations. The interconnectedness of user inputs, generated outputs, and the AI training process underscores the importance of a thorough understanding of these risks and the need for stringent security measures to protect sensitive data. Upon registering an account with OpenAI, users are required to provide a phone number and email address, which are likely personal. Consequently, identifying who is using an account becomes straightforward if tied to both a number and email. In theory, if OpenAI, a US-based company, wanted to isolate data exclusively from Australian Government employees, they could do so through a curated list of phone numbers and email addresses. Furthermore, OpenAI trains its new models using input data from previous models. Thus, user inputs could be harnessed for model training, as outlined in OpenAI's ChatGPT Terms of Service. Now, imagine training an AI model exclusively on sensitive government data, systematically mining inputs and outputs for confidential foreign government information. Such a scenario may infringe upon multiple Australian legislations and pose significant security risks. The issue extends beyond mere speculation, as I have personally witnessed Datacom employees, including Team Leaders and the Ops Manager, utilizing ChatGPT on work laptops connected to the work network. On the 5th of April 2023, between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm, I observed the Operations Manager using ChatGPT on his Datacom laptop. Moreover, I have noticed that certain emails pertaining to Datacom and APO correspondence have begun to resemble text generated by a GPT model rather than human-authored content. It is crucial to acknowledge that computers on the operating floor are equipped with appropriate restrictions to prevent the use of AI technology in handling sensitive data, such as the blocking of the Bing search assistant in Microsoft Edge. However, my access to these computers as a CSR is limited. Conversely, management personnel appear to have fewer restrictions on their work-provided laptops, which are supplied by Datacom. Despite being intended for work purposes, any discussion of APO data on the Datacom network using these laptops would necessitate that Datacom ensures proper handling of potential breaches. Furthermore, Datacom would bear the responsibility to vigilantly address and mitigate potential misuse of AI within the company, particularly given that even simple spell-checking of emails between Datacom and APO could be considered a breach, let alone generating entire emails with context. This situation is particularly concerning, considering that all Datacom contracted employees via APO are required to sign a confidentiality agreement as part of their security clearance process to ensure that APO secrets are kept secure. Specifically, employees must adhere to the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), which outlines the security requirements that must be followed by Australian Government agencies, including the Australian Passport Office. The PSPF includes guidelines on the handling of sensitive and classified information, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to these policies to ensure the protection of sensitive data. The use of ChatGPT by Datacom employees, particularly when handling sensitive information, may constitute a violation of the PSPF, potentially exposing the company and its clients to significant risks. These observations suggest that the problem may not be confined to a few individuals or roles within Datacom. The breach could potentially extend to higher levels of management and other areas of the organization, such as People & Culture. The extent of this issue demands thorough investigation and intervention, lest it continues to undermine the security of sensitive information entrusted to Datacom by its clients, including the APO. It is crucial to consider the broader implications of this issue in light of recent data breaches involving other companies that handle APO data. Although Datacom has managed the fallout of these incidents commendably, the potential of an even more severe internal breach is deeply disconcerting. The previous APO data breaches were orchestrated attacks and planned hacks; however, the prospect of Datacom employees inadvertently sharing sensitive government data with foreign government tools by utilizing ChatGPT is alarming and simply unacceptable. Such negligent actions could have far-reaching consequences not only for Datacom but also for the Australian Passport Office and the Australian Government as a whole. Even if ChatGPT was being used as a spell-check tool, copying and pasting entire correspondences with context into the AI essentially shares sensitive information with foreign entities. OpenAI's sophisticated technology could potentially enable real-time control of specific responses, leading to foreign influence over the Australian Passport Office. In addition, the unauthorized disclosure of personal information could lead to serious physical, psychological, emotional, financial, or reputational harm for the affected individuals. I have friends and family who have been personally affected by data breaches, such as those involving Optus and Medibank. The ramifications of dealing with these breaches have been profoundly challenging for affected individuals and APO customers. Lives have been disrupted, with some individuals facing unemployment and being unable to use their passports for online data verification forms when applying for unemployment benefits and other essential services due to data breaches. The consequences of these breaches have reverberated through their lives, causing undue stress and hardship. Thankfully, I have not been directly affected by any of these breaches. However, witnessing the struggles of those close to me has reinforced the importance of prioritizing the integrity of our data and proactively taking measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring within Datacom. It is our responsibility to ensure that the sensitive information entrusted to us is handled with the utmost care, diligence, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. In light of this situation, it is crucial to examine the potential legal implications of this breach. According to the Australian Privacy Act of 1988, specifically the Australian Privacy Principle (APP) 11, organizations must implement reasonable security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Furthermore, under the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act of 1979, it is illegal to access stored communications without proper authorization, which may encompass data processed by ChatGPT. Additionally, the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) Act of 1979 and the Intelligence Services Act of 2001 govern the activities of Australian intelligence agencies and their access to information. Unauthorized dissemination of sensitive data to foreign governments or entities could potentially contravene these legislations, exposing Datacom and its employees to legal repercussions. It is also important to consider OpenAI's Terms of Service in this context. Section 2.2 explicitly states that users are responsible for their actions and the consequences thereof while using the platform, including compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights. Section 3.1 outlines user conduct restrictions, such as not using the platform to "violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights" or to "enable or assist others to do any of the foregoing." The use of ChatGPT to process sensitive APO data could be considered a violation of these requirements, as well as potentially infringing upon Australian legislation. This intersection of OpenAI's Terms of Service and Australian privacy laws underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for a thorough investigation into Datacom's handling of sensitive information. The combination of legal and ethical concerns demands immediate action to mitigate potential risks and protect the privacy of APO customers. In light of the potential ramifications of this issue, I urge you to treat this matter with the utmost urgency and diligence. It is vital to initiate a thorough investigation into the reckless use of AI technology within Datacom and ascertain the extent of any breach, identify those involved, and implement appropriate remedial measures and safeguards. If left unaddressed, the consequences could be far-reaching, impacting not only Datacom's reputation and business relationships but also the security of sensitive government data. As an ex-employee who values the company's commitment to its clients and the safety of their data, I trust that you will take the appropriate steps to address this urgent matter and involve the relevant authorities responsible for protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. Should you require any further information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am willing to cooperate fully with any investigation, albeit anonymously, to ensure my own safety and security, as well as the protection of sensitive data and the interests of APO customers. Yours in confidence, Concerned Former Datacom Employee. Acknowledgement of Data Breach form received. 2023.05.31 02:52 rebelmissalex Estranged Father Dying and Drama at the Bedside PART THREE
PART THREE
Today my dad is still on life-support while the organ donation stuff is all settled. My mother then calls me [her and my father have been divorced for 30 years. She left him for the same reasons I stopped talking to my father) and said, âyour brother and sister-in-law have decided on cremation and itâs going to cost money of course and they are asking how much you will contribute.â
I was so angry and upset about being pushed out of the decision making process, and now I am even angrier that they only want my involvement when it comes to monetary contributions .
So I replied to my mother,
Tell him Iâm only a nurse and donât make as much as (sister in law) and her doctor friends so they can all pay the bill. There is also a death benefit he can apply for. Itâs amazing that now that he (my brother) wants money from me heâs willing to include me in everything. Imagine that. Well he canât have it both ways. Too little too late. Itâs insulting actually. He pushed me out of any decisions the last two days and now he is coming around because there are dollar signs attached to it.
They made it clear they didnât want me involved in any way and that they would take it from there. They belittled me personally, and insulted my profession, looking down on me, meanwhile, they were believing in some sort of miraculous recovery instead of looking at the Medical facts. What kind of âDoctorsâ are they?
I could have argued with them, demanded to have things my way and to have a say in the final decisions, and I didnât. My contribution, my gift to them, was walking away. Relinquishing all involvement. Because thatâs what they wanted. So to then turn around and ask me for money? How dare they. Now all of a sudden my input is valued. They shouldâve thought about that two days ago when they shut me out and told me my input was not wanted.
Obviously, the big lesson here is to have a will and a designated power of attorney because this is textbook as to what happens when families do not agree on care of a person who is in a position where they cannot decide for themselves .
My husband said I should contribute to my fatherâs cremation, and then just walk away.
I know that my response to my mother was petty and beneath me, but honestly, these last two days have been tough enough with the shocking news of my fatherâs death, and then having to deal with insults from my brother and sister-in-law. I feel like they wanted to control over everything so they can handle it. I was finally at peace when I walked away yesterday and I was finally feeling the stress leave my body and I was focused on remaining calm for our baby. And now, just like the famous saying in the movie, just when I thought I was done, they pull me back in. (I am paraphrasing but you know what I mean).
Iâm looking for opinions on this. If this was my mother, who we are all very close to, and who is an amazing loving person this would be a different story, and I would be fighting every step of the way. But my mother also has a will, and power of attorney (me) and everything is set in stone , so this would never happen. Because it is my dad, and I never had a good relationship with him, this complicates things a lot. So honestly, I donât feel bad about not contributing to the cost of the cremation. Most of this I guess itâs just me venting because I know my mother also thinks I should just contribute.
Both my mom and my aunt told me that my brother and sister-in-law are âgrievingâ and âsometimes people say things they donât mean when they are upset.â Meanwhile, I see it a different way. I believe that when peopleâs backs are against the wall and they are in stressful situations they show you who they really are.
I will never forgive or forget their treatment of me.
I too am grieving in my own way, but I would never lash out and call people names and belittle them and insult them and shut them out this way. And then turn around and ask for money. I cannot justify their actions and I do not want anything to do with them after how poorly this was all handled.
What do you all think?

2023.05.31 02:51 StupidIkarus How does Beta-777 ("Spear of Hecate") work?
I heard many things about this MTF but my curiosity is: is it really what they say it is? Involving everything related to magic exactly like an RPG. Using Blood Thaumaturgy, Magic Teleport, Elemental Control, Summoning Mystical Creatures?
This is an MTF that I particularly still have my doubts. How powerful are they and is it really all that magical potential they use?

2023.05.31 02:51 z0nefive How the hell did Lila know how to use all of their powers?
Yes, I know the Handler probably trained her in some way or another, but there is absolutely no way she was able to gain control of her powers like that. Viktor couldn't control his powers for majority of the show, how would the Handler teach Lila how to control them?
In S1E2 it's implied Five had to train how to teleport as well. ("I've been working on my spacial jumps, just like you said.") So we're just supposed to believe Lila can do it just like that, AND beat them all in a fight? Minus Five, but she gave him a run for his money.

2023.05.31 02:50 CommitteeChance4921 Help needed both ps4 and ps5 controllers broken.
My PS4 and PS5 controllers both stopped charging, and even though I have reset both and purchased new chargers, I still can not play on my PS5.When I connect in my PS5 controller, the light flashes orange as if it is charging, but if I click the power button, nothing occurs. I have tried several plugs and outlets and plugged them into the console, but nothing seems to work. The ps4 controller's lights do not light up at all no matter what I do.
How can I get my controllers to function once more?

2023.05.31 02:48 Medoagamer Devil may cry's story, Characters, and Writing is better than you think.
Devil may cry's story, Characters, and writing is better than you think.
When people praise the series, it's always about the gameplay and combat. While that is indeed where the fun of the franchise comes from, there's much more to that. Be warned that this post will have spoilers for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the animated series, and the reboot.
When you take away the Demons, pizza, silliness, devil triggers getting pulled, and filling dark souls with light, the franchise is about a dysfunctional family and the how even the worst of us can be redeemed. There's a phrase that's repeated all though out the series. "Devils never cry". But why? What does it mean? Demons all come in different shapes, sizes, skin and hair color, appearances and so forth but... Here's the thing... There's several good demons though out the series. Yes there's evil demons like Mundus and Argosax but there's also Sparada (Dante's and Vergil's father who literally saved humanity) Dante (literally the main character of the series) Trish, (a Demon who was created by Mundas who started evil but became good) Lucia (Once she discovered she was a demon made by Auris, she begs Dante to kill her so she won't turn on people), Nero (Who went through hell and back to save Kyrie in 4 and to stop Dante and Vergil from killing each other and takes up Dante's role as a protector in 5) and more. Lady's lesson in 3 was that not all demons were evil and she learned to trust Demons like Dante, and Dante tales care of a orphan in the animated series. And that's not getting into the evil humans like Arius and Sanctus.
This is the core theme of the series, and why the writing in the reboot is atrocious. It made Dante and Vergil into half angles half demons and portrays all demons as evil, betraying the main theme of the series.
But I want to spend this time going over Dante and Vergil. The 2 most important characters in the series.
Dante is a very misunderstood character. So many people completely miss his character and dismiss him as "Wahoo wacky pizza man!" But he's not. The death of his mother, his disappearance of Vergil, Trish's death in 1 and 2's prequel novel, and Nelo Anglo (actually a Mundus controlled Vergil)'s death all get him, as shown in 2 and TAS, only when he hears of Nero and learn that he's Vergil's son, does he start to recover. That shows what kind of person he is.
And Vergil may not have as much screentime, is still just as important. He's the opposite of Dante in many ways, (He never uses guns, He doesn't care about humanity, he wears blue) and he shows that despite his power, despite his efforts, his refusal to accept his humanity is what causes his downfall. That is what makes him such a great foil to Dante.
And I could go on about Trish, Lucia, Lady, Nero, Kyrie, Nico, V, and so forth. But I don't want to spoil everything.
This is why DMC's story is better than people realize. It's surprisingly deep, the characters are all written well, it's still very straightforward but still complex in the write ways, and you don't need to own 5 different consoles and play 100 different canonical spinoffs to understand why Donald duck is capable of using the most powerful spell in square enix history.
That is why...
Play Devil may cry.
