I've seen a lot of people (including myself) opt for low dose t for slower changes. I've been on just 20mg a week injections for 2 months now and can confirm I'm hitting milestones you'd see with a regular dose of t. I'm happy although it's gonna make me have to come out sooner, but I did want to maybe warn people who think it always slows the changes.
The peach fuzz on my lip is getting fuzzier and darkening, my voice has dropped a good amount (still not in the male range but more androgynous), my facial features are looking more masculine. Bottom growth is pretty surprisingly big for just 2 months on a low dose. And my hair texture got more wavy? I'm already passing more consistently with strangers. I get my blood levels checked in July so I'm not sure what they are currently, but I did start with very low t typical for afab people.
I don't wanna scare anyone - I'm actually happy with how things are going myself! But if you're going on a low dose like 20mg or 25mg a week, know you still might have changes on the usual timeline. I do injections so I don't know if gel would be more gradual, but it's good to know that all bodies are going to react differently and you can't always predict what will happen.

My husband and I are at a loss, and I will try to be as unbiased as possible. We are expecting our first, and naturally the topic of hosting a baby shower has come up. His mother (N) was very excited about hosting from the beginning, but had said that she would talk with my family as well.
My mother passed away before I met my husband, so her two sisters often fill in for me in "mom" roles, which I'm very grateful for. I told one aunt (K) that my MIL was very gung-ho about the baby shower planning to which she replied, "Great! Just make sure you talk to your other aunt (W) about it, because I think she will want to be involved". (To be clear, N and K are both in the same area as us, but W is a few states away.)
My husband and I passed on to N (MIL) that we thought W (the other aunt) wanted to be involved in planning, which she was fine with. A week or so later, we met up with both N and K at a local event. N immediately brought up the baby shower with K and asked what she wanted to do and if she had any thoughts. K was very taken aback and got defensive as she hadn't been thinking at all about the baby shower thinking it was going to be mostly N and W working together.
I realized that N might not have understood we meant my other aunt, W, and not K when we discussed my aunt wanting to be involved. So I reached out to W to let her know that N was starting to plan the baby shower and wanted to see if she wanted to be involved and I could put them in contact. She was thrilled that I asked and promised to reach out to N directly.
She did the following morning, and N told her that everything was handled and planned already, but that N would let her know if she needed anything. My aunt was pretty hurt by this. W then asked K what was going on and if she was helping since she was closer. K reached out to N to figure out what was going on. N said everything was handled and asked how they could split costs for hosting. My aunts felt hurt by this. Money isn't really an issue, but they don't agree with all the decisions that have already been made (one example, paying for a venue-- my aunt K offered her house instead). They say they feel uncomfortable being listed as "hosts" when they're just being asked for a check and feel fairly strongly about being involved as hosts some other way in addition to monetarily or not at all (which they have both assured me they will be fine with). My aunts are also wary of being seen as the "two against one" in this triumvirate.
So my husband and I tried to bring up this idea of at least letting my aunt's house be the venue to his mom (N) and she said it was too small a house and too hard to get to. (We did my husband's brother's baby shower in a smaller house and most of our guests will have GPS on their phones they can use to get to my aunt's house).
Given all this drama, I ran the idea by my husband that we should scrap everything and have a friend host (a friend has offered already). But you can’t trust the crowd at the Bemelmans Bar - even though they tend towards the mature: Upper East Side regulars or people enjoying a drink in civilised surroundings. ‘Their’ and ‘they’ are Harry and Meghan, obvs. The blonde and brunette are the Hesses. A bit of background: At this time New York was emerging cautiously from lockdown. The Bemelmans Bar limited patrons to 50% of capacity - normally they seat about 78-90 people. So the hired muscle took up tables which could‘ve been sold and re-sold. The hired muscle couldn’t have been much good though, because there are pictures of Harry and Meghan having a good time. Here’s one: Damn those sneaky photographers! Wait - isn’t this Backgrid? where arguably Meghan tips off the photographer; selects the most flattering pictures; and gets a cut of sales? They left after 3 hours through the back door. No near-catastrophic chase then. Did you know? There are a couple of hotels near the Ziegfeld Ballroom: The New York Hilton Midtown is 1 minute away by car and on foot. The Conrad New York Midtown is 4 minutes by car and 2 on foot. The New York Hilton Midtown should be very familiar to Meghan - that’s where she collected her Ripple of Hope award back in December 2022. I made a post for my brother about 2 weeks ago. His daughters mother has now taken away any unsupervised visits that were offered, because her other baby daddy took off with their kid and doesn’t want my brother to do the same. Which is whatever, he got the interim order and it states that unsupervised visits are at the mothers discretion. The problem is that he had a visit yesterday that went wrong. He’s court ordered 8:30a-11:30a every Saturday and 8:30a-10:30a every Monday. He messages the mom and asks where they’re meeting, and he suggested a local park that they’ve met at before. She messages back and states that everyone was still sleeping at 8:20am. He says it’s fine and that it happens, just let him know when she’s on her way to the park for the visit. She messages again at 8:40am and asks if he just wants to go to a horse ranch 45 minutes away, instead, because there’s a free open house. He declined because he didn’t have the gas after paying rent, child support, and whatever else was needed. She said it was fine. Then she messages at 9am and says that she won’t be able to make it to the park, and that he needs to come to one of her friends houses for the visitation. He declined because he didn’t know the friend and he had his other 2 daughters with him, and didn’t want to take them around a stranger. She didn’t like that, but they settled on meeting later in the day when her husband got back from work and would be able to take them to the agreed upon park. The visit was supposed to be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. She has an issue with the first park, so she tells him that they’re going to a different one. Finally, he is able to see his daughter. He said that everything was fine for the first half hour, other than I guess the mom kept pulling the daughter away for no reason other than to have a “photoshoot.” He let it be. I guess the mom asked if she could take pictures of his other 2 daughters and he declined. His wife didn’t feel comfortable and neither did he. I’m assuming because there’s no relation between the mom and his other 2 kids. That’s when the issues started. His wife was taking pictures of all 3 of his daughters, together. Just playing. Not a photo shoot, or anything. The mom started telling her that she can’t take pictures because of her relation to her other baby daddy’s wife (the baby daddy that ran off with her other kid). I’m not sure what their relation is? But the wife said that she will continue taking pictures for her husband (my brother) because it is his daughter as well. She then started freaking out on my brother and his wife and took the daughter away from the visit an hour early. The mom cancelled the past Saturday visit and rescheduled for tomorrow but has now cancelled it. What should they do?

I F(19) have been dating my boyfriend M(20) for a little over two years. We started dating "officially" (will address this next) our last year of high school. We originally "dated" when we were freshmen, we were pretty inseparable but being 14 things didn't really work out. I ended up ghosting him then and maybe that wasn't the best decision but at the time it seemed like the best solution would be a clean break. We didn't really have any contact throughout the two years in between with the occasional exception of him reaching out to try to be friends but I usually tried to let him down easy and claimed that it wasn't the best idea. Eventually our respective circles started to overlap again and we slowly became friends senior year. It was great, we would go out to local tourist traps and attractions and do "friend" dinner dates and it eventually lead to us dating. But of course like all things high school came to an end. He got accepted to a school and went for a while. My folks sold our house in my hometown and I ended up traveling till I found a place I fell for and got an apartment. I would visit him at school and that is when things started to take a turn for the worse. I would visit him once a month and have to drive about three hundred miles, he wasn't able to come to me because he was living on campus and didn't need/have a car. It seemed like every time I went to visit him I was never the first priority. Yes we would be all lovey dovey and talk about how much we missed each other at first but then we would stay in his dorm all weekend and he would play games on his computer while I would just be there, in the background. One time while I was visiting him he was tired and wanted to take a nap, not being interested in sitting in the dorm for three hours and waiting for him to wake up I decided that I would go have some "me" time. I made him promise me that he would be up a certain time because I would not be able to get back into the building without him and I didn't really know anyone so I would just be up a creek. I set some alarms on his phone and headed out for a few hours. I texted him about 10 minutes in advance (I couldn't park on campus because I wasn't a student) so that he could let me back up. I saw he was active on snapchat read my text but never replied. I ended up making it to his building and called him about 20 times over an hour before he came down, clearly having just had woken up. I was furious, I was silently stewing the whole trip up to the room. When we got there I packed all my things left the building and walked the about two miles up hill to my car and left without saying much, I was at my breaking point. we had a long talk about the weekend afterwards with a bit of progress. I only think I visited him once or twice after that at school because he ended up leaving and moving home but they were better than the previous visits, we made real progress. He definitely improved a lot mentally after leaving I was and still am happy for him. We don't get to see each other as often because our hometown is about a 12 hr drive from me and I work a lot and can't take a lot of time off to make the trip. we see each other on holidays mostly. Im not really bothered by it I'm ok on my own, perks of being an only child but here's where the current issues lie. We have very poor communication, he will contact me maybe twice or three times a day at most and at odd hours of the day because his sleep schedule is screws up from playing games at night with friends and sleeping late. when he contacts me I'm either asleep or he contacts me when he wakes up while I'm working. Communication is a big thing for me, I try to FaceTime him in the morning before I head to work, not super early but around 10 - 10:30 , I usually work till around 6 - 7 and don't have the energy to talk to anyone when I get off of work. He rarely picks up and when he does it's usually short and he tells me that's he's tired and what's to sleeps more. I don't fight with him its moot why would I want to engage with someone that isn't interested in talking right? He does call me but it's usually an inconvenient time for me and I can rarely get a word in. He's a very smart guy and likes to ramble on about his interests which I have always found cute but a conversation is supposed to go two ways and he doesn't always get that. so my issue right now is is it worth it anymore? I care about him deeply, I know it probably didn't come across very well in this but I do love him very very much but I don't know how much I can put up with being the one who puts in all the effort. I don't want to leave him but I can't ask him to change who he is as a person to accommodate me. I love him and his family and they love me, hell even my dad loves him and they get along. I can see a future with him and it's something that we have talked about but if it's always going to be detached like this its not a future I want. Is there anyway I can get through to him, I really want things to work.

More recently I've been reading up on Cadrenal Therapeutics (they're on NASDAQ under CVKD). They're a biopharma company that's working on a drug called tecarfarin. Put super simply, it's designed to help people with end-stage kidney disease and irregular heartbeats, a combo that doesn't have many good treatment options right now. They've got fast track and orphan drug status from the FDA, which I think is a pretty big deal for a company going after a rarer disease combo like this.
I'm not super sure about investing in them so far, but it seems like they've got potential. Their drug is in a much later stage of development (Phase 3-ready), and they've already tested it on over 1,000 people across 11 clinical trials. Plus, they recently had a successful IPO and got listed on Nasdaq.
I don't know much about the medical side of things but, from the basic info about the trials that I found on their website, the drug looks promising. With a market of around 150,000 people in the US alone, I believe there's potential for good growth if their drug gets approved.
I'm curious about what the community thinks about Cadrenal, the challenges/opportunities of the sector, and maybe even just investing in orphan drugs in general if you have thoughts.

Meaning the new strategies I’m building for people include less influencer focus. But more focus on audience targeting through paid media and better UGC content.
This will affect the influencer world a lot. Especially if Influencer earnings get impacted, they will need to be more comfortable with Ad Creatives and pricing.

In light of recent events, some of which have been the subject of rumors and speculation, the WTPU has come under new leadership. The community was originally created with the intent to bring about change, but a lack of communication and foresight amongst the original organizers led to many regrettable events taking place. Today, we're here to tackle exactly what happened, what went wrong, and the changes being made.
In the beginning, the founders never planned for things to get as big as they did. Very quickly the discord server, and by proxy the subreddit, grew in scale exponentially. Many people on the staff team were only present due to a desire for change, but with little knowledge regarding the effort on something of this magnitude would require. As a result there was a lot of conflicting information, and poor stances were taken that had not been thought through. Poor communication regarding the specifics of the boycott led to confusion about it's duration and whether it would be mandatory. In addition to this, many people who were uninterested in taking part in the boycott were seen in the Discord playing the game. This led to a now somewhat infamous hasty decision to ban people seen playing the game within the Discord server. The new leadership realizes this was a mistake, as those who do not wish to protest should not have been punished for their own decisions. We are also aware of one of the staff members being seen playing the game on the 26th, which was immediately corrected, though the damage was already done. All in all, there was a clear lack of planning and structure that led to these mistakes and we are truly sorry.
Another common concern in the beginning was a lack of player representation in the decision making processes of the union, despite those being in charge acting as "the voice of the people". Once again, this was a regrettable mistake made by our predecessors that we are currently working on amending. In the future there will be clear, direct, and equal representation of the members of the WTPU, as well as the War Thunder community at large. We have big plans in the works in regards to this, so make sure to stay tuned for when we can finally give more info.
Enough of the negativity, let's talk about some of the things we have achieved and done right, shall we? The list of suggestions sent to Gaijin, while not universally agreed upon, but widely supported, is one of the first times the community has had an opportunity to send feedback directly to the developers. In the past we were told to use the forums to give feedback and suggestions, and we all know how well that usually went. The union showed that not only the community can come together and unite under a common cause, but also that change can be brought around through decisive and coordinated action. This in of itself is something all players should be happy and proud of, and we're humbled to have been a part of it.
What does this mean for the future of the WTPU? As of now, the new moderation team is doing their absolute best to right the wrongs of the people before us. We regret that many feel angry, betrayed, or disappointed in the actions previously taken, and we do not fault you for feeling this way. The WTPU, under it's new and more experienced leadership, will continue to work as the voice of the community as we strive to better the game that we all enjoy and love. All we can do now is ask for the forgiveness of those who feel wronged, and promise that from here on out organization and clear leadership will be at the forefront of anything and everything we do. I just got a PSVR2 and tried it out for the first time yesterday afternoon. I have a history with older VR mentioned in some thread back when the PSVR2 first came out, but the short version is it (Oculus DK2) turned my stomach inside out for 2 days after just ~20 minutes.
I didn’t have high hopes for this but the 30 day free return means even if it doesn’t work out I won’t be out any cash so I’m giving it a shot.
I’ve been playing with a Logitech G29 and sitting in an OpenWheeler Gen3 so right now only the VR is new. For my first driving experience I chose a stock Eunos Roadster on Tokyo Expressway. I drove for about 8 minutes at city / highway speeds and felt a bit of stomach churn from the hill at the first turn but it was mostly okay. The feeling of sitting in the car and being able to look around the interior was phenomenal (until I got a little too far from the driver’s seat and was met with a green wire frame and black void). I felt a bit queasy for the rest of the day after stopping and I’m still feeling it a tiny bit now 24 hours later but I’m going to try again tonight.
(TLDR) Does anyone, especially people who were able to overcome their motion/simulator sickness, have any recommendations for cars and tracks to try out that won’t turn me into a vomit fountain?

I didn’t have high hopes for this but the 30 day free return means even if it doesn’t work out I won’t be out any cash so I’m giving it a shot.
I’ve been playing with a Logitech G29 and sitting in an OpenWheeler Gen3 so right now only the VR is new. For my first driving experience I chose a stock Eunos Roadster on Tokyo Expressway. I drove for about 8 minutes at city / highway speeds and felt a bit of stomach churn from the hill at the first turn but it was mostly okay. The feeling of sitting in the car and being able to look around the interior was phenomenal (until I got a little too far from the driver’s seat and was met with a green wire frame and black void). I felt a bit queasy for the rest of the day after stopping and I’m still feeling it a tiny bit now 24 hours later but I’m going to try again tonight.
(TLDR) Does anyone, especially people who were able to overcome their motion/simulator sickness, have any recommendations for cars and tracks to try out that won’t turn me into a vomit fountain?

My brother (M11) has special educational needs, and also has had multiple teachers/caregivers question if he has a "mild form" of autism, but all the test he has been given said that he is perfectly normal for his age range.He has also had a problem with going to the toilet up until the age of 9, which as far as i know luckily stopped.Besides these he is overall a really talkative, cheerful and funny little guy, who really likes to show his love by making little gifts for us, he is an absolutely amazing human being in my opinion. The problem starts with his school and his classmates.He goes to the same school (even has the same teachers) as I(F19) did, so some of his teachers keep comparing him to me.He is really different than me, i was always the top of my class, teachers loved me and I was quite popular.Altough, even with his learning disabilities he has really good grades (not from u.s, here the grades are from 1-5 with 1 being the worst and 5 the best grade), he has all 4's, most of my old teachers keep comparing him to me, an expecting the same grades,prizes and love for languages&science as I had, which is obviously not possible. Luckily he is amazing at math&sports, and he also likes literature, so there are some teachers who like him for who he is and try to improve him in every way they can. The real problem are his classmates.One of them, lets call them B (M11), has been his best friend since they were born, our families have been friends long before i was even born. B's family started distancing from us and our family's friend group about 3 years ago (we still don't know why), and their friendship started to deteriorate.My brother always says that B is his best friend, but B never really plays with him, he isn't invited anywhere.Most of the boys in his class make a big friend group, and altough he says he plays with them and likes to hang around, there has been some incidents where i really think they just keep him around to laugh on/take advantage of sometimes.There has been also multiple times we have to tell him that my parents don't buy the food/snacks for the other kids, because he kept giving them to his classmates because some of them said they will only play with him if he gives them a snack, and he complied. He is really keen on sports, especially football (really football-oriented country) , and he wanted to try and play that as an extracurricular activity.One of his classmates, F (M11) goes there to football also, and he said to my brother "If we meet on football class, don't you dare recognise me, because i won't recognise you.Don't even talk to me or say hi."It came to me as a suprise, because as far as i know they are really good friends, come home together every day and even sit together in class.I also know that none of them invite him anywhere, not even to birthday parties, even though most of the boy classmates are invites everywhere.  | Hello All, submitted by Adventurous-Yam-5132 to hvacadvice [link] [comments] We had removed our baseboard heaters and installed a brand new furnace in the attic and a bosch heatpump in the hopes that not only would we be more comfortable but also our power bills would be cheaper if not more consistent winter to summer and no more portable AC's. we installed the system mid October of 2022 After this Significate investment (27K+ for a 1100 SQFT single story home) we have not been pleased. All registers are in the ceiling and we are seeing very high power usage and the unit struggles to keep up it seems. I live in the Seattle area and in November our power usage was 2300KWH. The average temp was 38 deg F according to the power company. in comparison with baseboards last year we used 1400KWH. This is an huge jump. Things we tried:We had turned off the aux heat and a few months later turned it back on with the advise of the HVAC companyUsing a ECObee 4 pro thingyset at 68 deg all the time no setbacks or changestried running the fan all the time and having the fan on autoCalled HVAC company back out to be told all is just fineReplace filters every 3 weeksUnit would run for hours trying to achieve temp and would actually drop in temp even with it well over freezing outside.still... really high power bills and wish we would of saved the money and kept baseboards honestly. Its seattle, it is not that cold out, I moved from eastern washington where we would stay below 0 and my 10 yo Lenox heatpump would maintain 68 using significantly less power in a house 500 sqft+ larger. I feel like there is something wrong with the bosch as this is just not right. and yes I know its the heatpump using the power as we have replaced all other appliances including the HW heater with energy efficient ones AND our utility we can see hourly usage. when no one is home and the only thing that is running is the heat its easy to deduce what is pulling the power. So what am I asking?sadly in march a car drove into our home. no one was hurt but major damage to the home and happened to flatten the heatpump and give us a lovely open floorplan. So do we push for a Bosch and have the same equipment put back in... or is there something else we should be looking at? In early 2022 I bought a great hot tub and we got a lot of use out of it last year. It was a huge hit at our NYE party ~6 months ago now. Problem is... that's the last time we used it or maintained the chemicals or anything for it. The water had just been sitting there collecting build up and growth.
Please refrain from guilt tripping us. We know we should have been better and we pledge to do better going forward. Work and life got crazy and we simply just didn't go in our back yard for 6 months and honestly sort of forgot the hot tub was there.
I'm sure you could imagine there was significant build up around the filters and the covers. I emptied it and started wiping down the fixtures to remove all gunk and growths. I'm concerned that since we can see plenty of build up on the external seats and whatnot, there is probably build up in the areas we can't see as well.
What should we do to make sure the hot tub is safe to use again? My current plan from unfruitful Google searches is to scrub what I can and clean what I can physically. Then refill hot tub and use harsh/strong cleaners to try to flush the pipes and kill whatever has been growing underneath. Then empty and clean again, as many times as necessary. Specific products or steps or advice is greatly appreciated.
