But Honestly, Ruby more than anyone has earned the goddamn right to snap. She's been forced as early as Volume Three to constantly bottle everything up. While Jaune and everyone else get to deal with their issues.
I might be too protective of her, despite how I will more than openly acknowledge her legit criticisms, namely she isn't even really a character at this point. Anything that could've been good to make her shine is just gone at this point. Okay my rant over, but just to reiterate, I truly don't hate any characters in this show, I don't even hate this show. It's pretty funny to me in a tragic way. But I am still not a fan of the abysmal quality of writing. SO LET'S A GO.

There was a resounding cracking, as Jaune's aura shattered, and Ruby stared at him hatefully, despite the feedback of her aura breaking the bones in her hand, his aura having rebounded some of her own, like when Cardin had punched him. But Ruby, through sheer will and anger, had thrown the hardest punch she had ever done in her life.
"ME?!" Ruby yelled louder this time, ignoring the blood dripping down her hand. "I NEVER ASKED TO BE A FUCKING LEADER!" She hollered. "Ozpin decided that. And I tried my fucking best. But it was never fucking good enough!" She laughed, tears streaming down her face. "I told you Jaune... it's not about me, it's about them... but then... No one except ...her... was there for me. AND SHE'S GONE NOW! AND SHE'S NOT COMING BACK LIKE YOUR MAKE-BELIEVE FRIENDS!" She shouted.
"RUBY!" Yang shouted at her sister, wanting to calm her down, but Ruby moved past her, circling them like a pissed-off wolf.
"YOU! YOU LET ME GO OFF ON MY OWN! IF JNR AND QROW HADN'T BEEN WITH ME, I COULD'VE FUCKING DIED!" Yang choked, as Ruby lifted her in the air with one hand, strangling her.
Yand had always known Ruby was strong, strong enough to lift Crescent Rose, a weapon in the same weight class as Nora's hammer, which Yang couldn't lift.
Blake moved to try and rescue Yang, but instead Ruby was there in an instant, as she slammed Yang into Blake with a mighty thud, cracking the ground beneath them. But Ruby didn't let go, she kept slamming Yang into Blake over and over and over and over until BOTH their auras shattered!
"BUT WHAT DO YOU CARE HUH?! YOU ALL BUT SHOVED ME OUT ON THE FIRST DAY OF BEACON! RIGHT INTO HER!" Weiss was shaking, with fear and anxiety unable to even pull out her rapier. "MISS WILL BE PERFECT!" Ruby let go of her battered sister letting her fall into her so-called girlfriend. "You told me once, didn't you? That I wasn't cut out to be the leader." Ruby slowly approached Weiss, who backed up getting closer to the river. "How does it feel to be right?" She said with tears that just wouldn't stop coming.
"I...I..." Weiss was shaking.
"YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME NO! ALL OF YOU!!! I ... Made a mistake in lying to Ironwood. I panicked, good fucking gods above, I fucking panicked, I thought he couldn't handle it. I doubted myself so fucking much and you doubted me too. BUT YOU STILL LET ME GET AWAY WITH IT! WHY?! WHY WOULD YOU EVER TRUST ME TO BE A LEADER?! I'M YOUNGER THAN ALL OF YOU!" She sobbed openly, Little gently touching her cheek.
"But Ruby..." Weiss tried to speak up. "It will be fine..." Faster than Weiss ever thought, Ruby took her rapier, and slammed the handle into Weiss' face, knocking her into the river, and Ruby held her boot to Weiss' chest, shattering any glyphs and summons at an insane speed that Weiss could barely follow. Until her aura broke.
"It won't though. Atlas is gone, and so is Penny. Along with the people Cinder killed. The person I forgot about!" Ruby stepped away from Weiss, as the bubbles slowed down, and Weiss pulled herself up gasping for air. "Atlas was your home, Weiss... I wish you’d stopped me, more than anyone. YOU WERE MY PARTNER!!!" Ruby screamed, and then Weiss screamed back.
"WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?! KILL YOU?!" Weiss shouted.
"YES!" Everyone's eyes widened, even Ruby's own.
"Ruby... you didn't do anything wrong... You did the best you could and-."
Ruby narrowed in on Blake, kicking her sister aside viciously as she picked Blake up by her ears, pulling hard.
"What would you know about it?" Ruby said snarling. "You ran away just like Weiss." Ruby gestured to her, Weiss looked down at the ground in sorrow. "You abandoned everyone, and then you just come crawling back like it never happened!" Ruby punched Blake in the face hard.
"STOP IT!" Yang tried to reach out, but Ruby viciously kicked her again and slammed Blake into her yet again, she could hear the pop of several bones.
"But that wasn't enough for you two. No... You went behind my back, oh you could allow me to lie. But sure, GO RAT OUT IRONWOOD'S PLANS TO A COMPLETE FUCKING STRANGER! And then even though you still said my plan wasn't working out... You still expected me to lead? Did you ever stop to think about how fucked up that was? How fair that was?" Ruby said with a shaky breath.
She struggled to wipe away her tears. "It's like you all want me to fail! Like I am just a puppet! Because none of you want to step up, no it has to be Ruby. Ruby this, Ruby that!" She said fighting back her tears. She then began laughing whilst the tears still flowed. "Hail Ruby, the Puppet Queen. Wanna go behind everyone’s backs? Want to get things done without being the face of the plan? Well, Puppet Queen Ruby is the product for you." Ruby laughed somberly. And then walked away from her scared sister and teammates as she walked over to Jaune who was bleeding, his nose broken from her punch. "Doesn't quite have the same ring though as Rusted Knight does it?" She asked darkly. "No one is ever going to remember Puppet Queen Ruby, no one will care when she dies," Ruby said.
"Ruby, if you should kill anyone it should be me!" Jaune said, loudly and hoarsely breaking down. "I... I KILLED PENNY!"
Ruby was quiet, too quiet...
And then she backed up... the light had completely left her eyes... the wind was gone from her sails. She could hear a faint ringing in her ears, as she looked at Weiss, and Weiss knew at that moment... she had failed Ruby in a way that could never truly be forgiven. And Ruby stared back at Jaune, as Jaune was trembling.
He didn't want this. He wanted her rage, he wanted her to shout at him, to hate him, something... ANYTHING! But she just stared at him, as though she was a walking corpse.
“You know when you said that it was all about me, Jaune? Were you looking into my eyes when you said that? Because, if anyone here makes everything about them, it’s you. You even made Penny’s death about you too. I’m… I’m so tired." Yang felt ice water flow through her veins. This was beginning to feel like General Ironwood, another person they had failed, all over again.
Ruby walked away from them all, slowly approaching Crescent Rose, the old weapon she had once made with so much love and pride. Her reflection stared back at her, before shifting into that of her mother. And she scoffed, reaching up to her own eyes.
"Ozpin said I had Silver Eyes." She said almost quietly. "Who cares if Ruby Rose is a weapons genius? What does that matter when she has Silver Eyes? Who cares if Ruby Rose is two years younger That she’s still a kid? She has Silver Eyes, just like Summer Rose, who also led her own team." Ruby smiled sadly. "I'm only special because I was born right."
Weiss sweated as she felt that comment more than most.
“I don’t hate my mom. I never could, But, after all of this, it’s like the world wants me to. Like it's angry that I'm here and she's not.” She felt like she was falling apart.
"Ruby..." Little said quietly, and Ruby smiled gently, putting the little mouse down on the ground. And as she looked back up, her eyes locked on that infamous tree, and she remembered what was said. That you would die, and become someone else.
Ruby stared at the tree for several long seconds, and then with an exhale, she took off her cape. She stared at it for a precious few seconds, being reminded of her mother and her uncle and she let out a long sigh as she let it fall slowly to the ground. But then strangely, as rose petals swirled around her, she saw the faintest thing, fireflies, and she wiped away the last tear and then she vanished, Weiss' screaming of her name being drowned out by the wind.
She may not have been able to fly, but her aura was erratic, like a wounded animal as she made one jump after another. Why did she still have to be Ruby Rose?

Hello Runeterrans, I hope you're having a lovely day.
I have been playing on and off since the Arcade event and Yuumi's release but I've never really considered myself good at card games. All of my decks I've used since starting have been gotten from other sites or finding fun looking suggestions in this subreddit. My favorite decks have been Yuumi/Fiora, Norra/Bard, & Gwen/Kindred was my absolute favorite of my top 3 with how well it can trade with its own mechanics. With the introduction of Rotation and the new Standard format all of my decks became unusable, so I finally decided to try my hand building a unique deck from the ground up. I was hoping to get some opinions on my deck since I'm honestly still not very familiar with every possible option available (especially after such a big shake up of Rotation) and I'd like to believe maybe there's other lurkers out there just like I was who enjoy trying these random deck posts and I'd like to give one back.

• My initial thoughts are that I wanted to try Gwen with Noxus to make use of the new Skulking String-Puller from the first Variety Set release and of the Champs remaining in Noxus it seemed like Riven could be the most fun (although I know Samira would likely be better with the Rally, I feel like I never see a Riven). The primary mechanic I wanted to carry over from my favorite Gwen/Kindred deck was putting a heavy focus on Hallowed units to feel like every unit is able to progress one of my win conditions by either playing or slaying them, with Mask Mother able to become an additional Hallowed unit by prolonging a Ghastly Band or scaling up to terrifying heights by absorbing the stats off an ally buffed from a Hallowed attack. I keep a backup Crumble in case I run into a pesky landmark (looking at you, Mr. Sun Disc) and a Ruination in case my opponent's board is able to build up faster than mine. Over on the Noxus side of things Blade Squire and Rune Squire both fulfill their jobs the same way that the Hallowed units do by either playing or slaying them, with the added benefit of having Challenger. Weapon Hilt seemed like a must-have to progress Riven's level up quest and the extra power is much appreciated, lastly Pirouette seemed like it was such a powerful card every time I saw it come out against Samira decks and its actually very comfortable for a touch of control to buy yourself a round or two.
  
• The synergy I've been finding with this deck is actually super fun. I really like the Hallowed mechanic and with such a big focus on Hallowed units you can usually build the stack pretty quickly, but even if you end up playing the Rune lads you still end up getting a power boost with their Reforged spells so every unit feels beneficial. Reforged Quick Attack can do wonders for helping to keep Redeemed Prodigy alive for another Ghastly Band on the next attack token, Reforged Overwhelm is really valuable here when your Hallowed stacks start getting to fairly dangerous levels especially on Skulking String-Puller or Gwen. Skulking String-Puller can also share the Hallowed buff plus all of the Reforged Weapon Hilt buffs across your entire board, so with a Prodigy and a Foyer on your side you can immediately swing 4 units up to and over fatal damage by that point. Riven herself is really interesting, when she levels up she can gain twice the amount of power from a Hallowed buff or even double the power from Skulking String-Puller which is a really easy candidate for Reforged Overwhelm or even Blade of the Exile (just make sure you play Blade of the Exile on a turn where you can no longer attack to preserve the double power). Finally Gwen nicely rounds out the team by providing Lifesteal on attacks to patch up the damage that comes through for having a thin board most of the time and providing the best voice lines.
  
• My questions are if I'm overlooking some obvious core cards or other support or maybe even entire strategies, I still feel like I have a lot to learn about LoR in general. I'd also like to hear your thoughts and opinions about the deck or about my decision process for some of these cards in case I'm coming at deck building the wrong way.

3. Check the moon, does it look different? Use your moon-crater map and see if any major craters aren't there, etc.

How to identify Danger Class Ⅰ Realities:

1. The surface of the earth is white/grey? do you see smoke or fire as well? This earth has likely been through a nuclear war.
   
2. Infrastructure relatively intact, but everyone's dead? An extremely deadly virus
   
3. Massive crater + same description as nuclear war? A meteor similar to the one that wiped out the dinosaurs has strikes
   
4. Speaking of dinos, if you still see them, this Earth is still going through one of the "dino" periods (Jurrasic, Triassic, etc)
   

How to identify Danger Class Ⅱ Realities:

1. Are un-worldly spacecraft hovering around the Earth? Destroyed cities with these same ships firing lasers at them? An alien invasion.
   
2. Earth itself destroyed? You can figure it out.
   
3. Sun has expanded and swallowed Earth? You wouldn't know because you'd be dead. May God make sure you don't end up in this one...
   

How to identify Danger Class Ⅲ Realities:

1. Reality either hasn't formed in this universe yet, is currently forming, or collapsing, not much we can do...
2. Eldritch beings the size of galaxies roam, pray one doesn't spot you.

This is a slight rant but I have to get this off my chest the best way I know how lately I have been feeling like something isn’t right in our world so many people are attacking people that shouldn’t be attacked and our own ideology of how things should be is getting in the way of me trying to heal things that are really important to heal but honestly, I had not done this when I was younger and I should have but that’s beside the point, realizing that I am a certain way and keeping that hidden for so long I understand what these people who are transgender are feeling like right now because I’ve gone through this before people have not been kind to me and I’m not okay with it. Regardless of actually not going through with suicide but dealing with anxiety instead is really inducing me to want to speak out about what it is that we are all dealing with but we should face and counteract with kindness. Like I’ve been saying on TikTok, and been hearing lately, enough is enough don’t go after someone if you can’t feel it yourself and hurt that you deal with on a daily basis as well. As assistant or lesbian I’m ashamed we have to come to this but it needs to be said. One of my closest friends was set to move across the country in two weeks with his gf of 6 years. They got everything set she went first and ultimately broke it off keeping their dog all his stuff. He'd stated he wanted to smoke before he left and had no plans on backing out. I was honestly concerned about set but we did our best to smile and keep things light. We turned on an instrumental, Hypnotiq by Jay Z
I set up a dab rig for him and began a cold start.
When he came back he wasn't fully back of course. Talked about dancing in a club with pink lights flashing everywhere and him turning into a 70s character with bellbottoms on sitting in a room with "all of us" passing deems. But no he was alone. Then suddenly he scrambled to my computer and played the remix to a song "God did" with a motivational start by Louis Farrakhan at the beginning. Then he just burst into tears and everything about that moment gave me this indescribable feeling like I'd blasted off with him and it was this huge huge moment of sobbing him saying he knows what to do, me trying to encourage him. Him coming to more realizations, laughing, you name it. He ultimately didn't even remember doing much of that or why but felt God reassured him.
And while I explained that life will still require action and certain patterns would come back etc it was just indescribably one of the best things I could have witnessed. I felt just as euphoric as if I'd broken through with him and could literally feel my body vibrating with energy. We sat outside in the sun and felt the breeze for about 20 min after talking. It changed me in many ways than I'd have thought and im honored to have been his trip sitter.

It felt like D-Day.
The silence in the War Room was deafening. They all had known this day would come, the blow that would begin the end of Kelly's War, as future historians would call it. Cyclops looked at the X-Men, the family he had forged through his years of fighting, the people who he knew better than anyone in the world. This plan, it was audacious, it was insane, and it was workable. The others were clued in, but as he tended to, Cyclops felt the need to explain the details of the mission. A heist unlike any other. He knew that it was a dangerous call, but it had to be made. The entire plan for survival hinged on this mission and the next going off without a hitch. He cleared his voice, having assembled everyone who was involved in the mission together in front of him.
"Alright, X-Men and associates, let's get down to business. Fort Knox is our target and our goal is simple enough: Steal as much gold from it as mutantly possible to serve as capital for our new homeland that, thanks to the actions of the Twins, we've had prepared for us by Namor. According to the Sub-Mariner, we've got a window of roughly five days before the island emerges into the sea, so we'll have to scoop the gold, hide it and prepare for Institute evac. Our Brotherhood eyes and ears haven't managed to spill anything about Magneto being out of his coma, so we can't rely on Brotherhood assistance when we face reprisals. However, in a case of good news, our mole in the MRD has made it clear that they aren't expecting us."
He activated the holographic display, bringing up an overlay of the teams being deployed at Fort Knox.
"The operation is going to be separated into two teams. The distraction team, consisting of myself, Vergil, Decay, Deadeye, the Citizen, Sunfire, Armor and Shutter, and the infiltration team, consisting of Slim, Lockdown, the Twins, Shadowcat, Agent-209, Colossus and Nocturne. We'll have reserves waiting in the wings, Magik is focused on being our emergency evac. After the Nighthawk takedown, Magik's on the MRD blacklist so we'll have to work around that."
He pulled out a pointer and tapped the vault.
"Infiltration's job is to enter the vault through a sling-ring portal created by Mickey, remove gold from the vault and get out of there before they're detected. Nomad has donated a camera jammer to the cause, and it'll be given to the Twins to operate. Agent-209 has been put on infiltration due to her knowledge of espionage tactics, though we may have a 209 clone deployed in distraction to keep the MRD guessing. The job is simple: load up Colossus with gold, drop it through the portals created by Mickey and the Deacon, leave intact."
He tapped the outside of Fort Knox
"Distraction's job is simple too: give them a good fight, enough to make it seem like we're trying to rob Fort Knox through force of arms. Big show, do as much damage as possible, and for the love of God, make it look like you're serious about it. We need to convince the MRD that the plan failed, so we can have a much easier and quieter move from the Institute to the Island. This is also a chance to take down MRD resources, since they're going to be operating at a high guard here. We have substantial intel that Hyperion's patrolling radius includes Fort Knox, along with the contingent of USAgents and Giant-Men who have been posted to guard the area. There are decent odds that the new Skymaster will be there, along with Power Princess, so we have to run distraction as effectively as possible. We clear?"
Fort Knox. Sunday, 0600 hours.
The base was quiet. The wee hours of the morning often were, just before the guard changed and when everyone was a bit tired, a bit cold and a bit annoyed. The silence was nice, however. No muties here, thank God, just a quiet, ordinary Sunday morning. The birds were beginning to chirp and the sky was still red with the dawn.
And then the heavens split asunder with a jet screaming overhead, colourful costumed figures airdropping into Fort Knox, bullets starting to fly as they descended from the heavens like avenging angels. Cyclops fired his optic beam, shattering a man's head and the battle-cry went out
"X-Men! Attack!"
And the hell started to break loose. The signal went out, and the Squadron Supreme was on their way. All according to plan.
Hyperion arrived, flanked by the Green Goblin, Dynamic Man, Captain Marvel and the Skrullian Skymaster. Giant-Men emerged from silos, and the USAgents started to flood into battle.
Meanwhile, in the Vault
The portal opened on the wall, and the infiltration team made it through, ready to steal more gold than anyone could even imagine. Bye bye US economy! However, it was strangely abandoned in the lower level. There were very few guards in the area, and there should really be more. The vault shoot with the force of whatever was happening above, and the window started to close.
Time to get to fuckin' work.
Alright! Here we go! Fort Knox Attacks! Get ready to throw down, blow up and violence everyone in a ten mile radius! There will be tiwsts! There wll be Turns! And there will be a guy with a grenade launcher who survives everything!

By "6th weapon," I of course mean the last weapon you get after getting 5 collabs. I already know about EN Curse being a great weapon on its own, but I usually end up collabing it for Bone Bros, or Eldritch Horror when doing runs with Gura.
So I'm curious about what other weapons are best to get once your collabs take up all your weapon spaces.

They, the Deep State, finally managed to indict Donald Trump for something. Best I can tell, it was for stealing his own money.
It should be abundantly clear by now that nobody in the Deep-State DNC, the DOJ, the criminal media or even the Republican Congress gives a flying fartcicle about facts. They’ve finally managed to indict Donald Trump and you can bet yer grandma’s underwear, they will find a way to make it stick.
If they get Trump in a court room, he will be convicted of something worthy of jail time. This is the Deep State playing the long game. He may end up under house arrest — because he’s still got to have Secret Service protection — but they will hobble his presidential campaign.
This has been going on since 2015: When Trump won in 2016, it blew the hell out of their plans and they had to start over in 2020. They (the deep state, DNC, DOJ, Criminal Media) learned their lesson in 2016. They got better at cheating the election counts and made it work for them in 2020. Now that cat’s out of the bag and they’ve played that card (mixing metaphors), then they need a new plan. Well, this is the new plan.
It’s been the plan since 2020, when it was clear to most of us that Trump would run again. While in the White House, Trump got hold of something, records, recordings, documents, that are sure to create turmoil for the Deep State if made public. He has something the Deep State wants. Or wants back.

The FBI raided his home in Florida, ostensibly looking for “classified documents.” They’re still “investigating” him for having classified documents. Pence had classified documents. Is anybody investigating him? Biden had a dozen caches of classified material…is anybody investigating him?
This whole “charge Trump for stealing his own money” fiasco in New York is yet another attempt to get at something Trump has. They want a legal reason to dig into his personal records. The completely unconstitutional push to get Trump’s lawyer-client-priveledged tape recordings put before the grand jury in New York is another example of how far these criminals are willing to go to shut Trump up.
In movie parlance, it’s called the “MacGuffin.” An object everyone in the movie wants to get their hands on, but nobody in the audience knows what it is. Trump has the MacGuffin.
I’m going to speculate a little.
First, I think Trump had whatever information he has before he lost the election. He lost (was cheated out of) the election, in my opinion, primarily because he planned to release the MacGuffin. Once the deep state understood he intended to release it after re-election; they didn’t care how much cheating it took to put Biden in office. And cheat they did; and they’re (Democrats/Deep State) still up to their asses in damage control because the corruption was so blatant. So Trump “lost” the election. But he kept the MacGuffin for 2024.
Next, we see Trump being censored in every conceivable way. Social media, print media, radio, television: The hate the deep-state controlled media harbors for this one man tells us a lot. The deep state owners, financiers, advertisers, and on-screen puppets are doing everything they can to prevent Trump from telling everyone exactly what he knows. Fox won’t even cover him anymore. Yet, not one criminal media network has a problem covering Ron DeSantis, or Nikki Haley. It appears the criminal, Deep State media is paid to hate Trump and paid to convince the rest of us to hate him, too. It’s obvious we’re supposed to hate him as much as they do. Unfortunately, a lot of shallow, gullible people hate him because they’ve been told to.
Anybody who’s done any research into conspiracy culture figures out pretty quick what happens to people when they make too much noise or get too close to the truth. They get “Arkancided.” Or they get disappeared. Or they suddenly lose all credibility through some stupid and senseless social debacle. Or, the government suddenly finds child pornography on their personal computer. The point is, they don’t stay a problem for long.

As an associate of V. Bush, John Trump was the guy sent to New York City in 1943 to go through Tesla’s papers when the inventor died. V. Bush is the guy who basically invented (and then warned us about) the military industrial complex and who was most likely to be called when something UFO happened. John Trump, trusted associate and coworker at MIT, was V. Bush’s go-to guy. And John Trump and Donald Trump spent time together as family for years.
It doesn’t take a huge stretch of the conspiratorial imagination to think that Donald Trump knew a whole lot about what’s in the UFO file before he ever got into office. He had an inside track on what to look for. I think he got confirmation of a lot of what he was told by his uncle and now he has the documents to prove it. This information has been covered up for at least 75 years, and the Deep State wants it back.

The Epstein Client List: Epstein was killed in prison to keep his mouth shut. It was so sloppily, blatantly obvious that when it came time for Ghislaine Maxwell to be shut up, maybe they didn’t think they could get away with it twice. Or, someone needed a hole card. She’s currently being held in what can only be called protective custody in a minimum security facility for her own safety and the peace of mind of those she could burn. She’s being used as an extortion lever to keep the rest of the guilty in line. She was found guilty of sex trafficking minors. But nobody seems to the have the list of clients. Somebody is protecting a long list of child molesters and rapists and they’re using Maxwell as the backstop to keep a lid on an explosive release. Maybe Trump took that list with him.

Whatever Trump has that the Deep State wants, it must be explosive enough to warrant numerous investigations and millions of dollars spent to try to pry open the former president’s private data. They can’t get rid of him as easily as they have countless others, like Epstein, because he’s got a release trigger set in case something like that happens. Plus, if they finally make a martyr of him, there will be a violent backlash.

The 1st of April in this sub marks a very special day indeed. While delayed due to irl stuff, April first marks the day of the absolute best arc this sub ever had. The Jestie arc, the arc of the funni gods. Planned by Weerrpp, the arc followed the mentally unstable crackhead clown known as Jestie, who previously just wrote incredible shitposts. Jestie and Dylan 'the vessel' awakened the three false gods, the funni gods (fusions of golett and the genies). While awakening the gods, Jestie and vessel Dylan had a few interactions with the guardians, including a battle where Dylan nearly killed Shade, Nova murdering Chii, and numerous deceitions. In one final battle between the funni cult (Jestie, vessel Dylan, Chii (may he rest in peace), Sprinkles, Jamie, Blossom, Financial and Grably) and the guardians, the cult was defeated and the gods were killed. Upon the gods leaving Dylan's body, his godlike power enhancement faded and he regained consciousness. Seeing what he'd done he fled, leaving nothing but a riddle for his friends to find him. After long weeks in isolation with just his Pokemon, someone solved the riddle and found him at the altar of the sunne, bringing him home and convincing him to rejoin team shadow.
The Jestie arc has a special place in the hearts of many. While a controversial character, Jestie brought smiles to the faces of many and this was the final time he was utilised. The first shade vs Dylan fight lives on to be one of the best fights in the subs history and the writing behind this arc is pure genius. Those who sided with Jestie became their own friend group oorp, and we are incredibly thankful for that. Chii, Weerrpp, Sprinkles, I love you guys.

Hi, this is a really long post, I hope this is an appropriate place to share this. I got recommended to this subreddit by JRPG. I haven’t posted here previously so unfamiliar to how this one works, so I apologize if I break any rules.
So anyways, a brief summary of what I am posting is that I have seen YouTubers keep track of and discuss games they had played during the year and it sort of inspired me.
I decided to keep better track of what I have played this year, and then make a big post about it at the end and see if I can have others discuss the games and my experiences with me. Then I decided it was impractical to do it at the end of the year, so I want to try every 3 months, this would be the first one. So here we go.
I started my year with Shadow of Mordor, well, to be more accurate I started my year by finishing Shadow of Mordor, I tried to finish it on New Year’s Eve, but wound up not making it, I beat it a day or two later. I thought it was fairly fun, though I hated the beast mounting system.
After that I played through Portal, which I think holds up pretty well, heck considering that I normally don’t do FPS style games, the fact that I liked it as much as I did is a testament to its design.
Then, due to some “encouragement” from my brother, I started to play Ghost of Tsushima. I wound up loving it enough to keep it. (For the past 5 years or so, my backlog has exploded, so my policy with games is, if I like it but don’t love it, trade it in, the stuff I keep in case I want to replay it is the games I LOVED. Breath of the Wild was the first game I made that decision with).
I closed January with that game. After a false start with Captain Toad (decided I didn’t want it after around a half dozen levels) I spent the first half of February playing Trails from Zero, another banger, but what else do you expect from Nihon Falcom?
But after that… came a long period of dissatisfaction. I picked DQ 9 back up after pausing my play through around NovembeDecember. I started from the Whale boss and got to the Emperor in the penultimate dungeon. However by then it was March, I had already done a bunch of grinding, and it clearly required much more, and I was ready to move on… so I dropped it.
I wound up picking up Luminous Arc, and at first I was having fun, then suddenly, about a quarter of the way through they stopped giving me new shops and the grinding was giving me diminishing returns incredibly quickly. Around the halfway point, I beat a boss, had two enemies left… and they killed me, meaning I’d have to replay like, the last half an hour. At this point, I said screw this, it stopped being fun.
I wound up having maybe, half a dozen false starts around this time, I did wind up playing Ys 6 during my birthday weekend (which I almost rage quit because when I got to the underground lake, I accidentally missed the armor upgrade, the breath charm and the armor piercing item, which made me declare the game had turned unfair. I calmed down the next day and finished it).
Now, I am trying to beat Cross Code. I like it, but don’t love it, so I am going to beat it but, I won’t do the DLC or replay it. Right now I am near the end of Chapter 8 (at the end of the side quest that gives me access to its ultimate dungeon).
As for what is next for me? I have to choose between 5 games I have at the top of my priorities list
1: God of War (PS4) Since I have hear a ton of good things about Ragnorok, I want to know if I want it.
2: Vesteria Saga I (Steam) I want to consolidate the systems I am playing on, I prefer consoles so I am trying to empty my Steam library. I am a big Fire Emblem fan and this is by its creator. It has a sequel so I want to know if I need to get it, or if YS 7 will be my last steam game (for now).
3: DQ 8 (3DS) the oldest thing in my backlog (as in it has been sitting there the longest) had a false start during the pandemic with the cartridge which kept giving me issues, so I bought the digital version but didn’t restart at the time.
4: Star Ocean FD (Switch) my memory card is full and it is the oldest download I have yet to touch.
5: Trails from Azure (Switch) started the series around when these 4 translations were announced, CS 3 and 4 have been in my backlog for around 2 years, I want to finally get around to them (have played 1 and 2).
Anyways, that is how my year has gone so far, what to do you guys think? Please leave your comments, even if it is just to tell me how to do this kind of post better.
