2023.03.22 10:10 The_Professor3_14159 Get a job you lazy bums!
Yea, am I tired of hearing this crap.. I've been going through a midlife crisis for the last 2-3 years. I've endured harsh trauma as a child, an abusive mother, group homes, bad friends, and even a couple of good friends that only came around after I was too broken to be good enough for them.
To summarize, I often feel as I have never really been loved in my entire life. it's some soul-breaking shit.. But all anyone can say is "Get a Job!", "Get Therapy", "go to a doctor", "get exorcise","smoke weed", "get laid", "get drunk", "get over it" .etc.
All this mainstream bullshit. Like, a lifetime of trauma, depression, and now, just feeling lost, numb(figuratively, but also partially literally..), and broken, but obviously just changing my outlook will solve everything..
I also have monotone speech, so I have the wonderful gift of no one taking me seriously, or wanting to listen to me for extended periods (since my voice basically turns into white noise after so long..).
Right now, I'm really against a wall. I'm stuck living with my mother again after a botched attempt to move back to the big city. But I was unprepared for just how bad the rent situation had gotten.. So I sit in my room, numb.. broken.. part catatonic, staring at/through my tv for entire days, unable to sleep more hours due to overthinking, and anxiety.
I can't even get my (anti-depression)meds cuz it's impossible to get a DR anymore, and the hospital refuses to refill them now, and all the walk-in clinics cept one has closed, and I can't get to that one from the town I live in before the clinic is booked up for the day, since it's the only walk in clinic for that city, and the surrounding towns..
I'm currently on disability, I'm not rich, nor do I have the mental, or physical strength in me to get anywhere near there. I'm honestly at a point where, I can either do something drastic, or say screw it all, and take a long walk off a short dock with a big fat cinder block.
Blah blah, whine whine. so-on..
Point being, What I really want is to travel. I have a few grand saved. I was thinking of going to the Philippines due to lower costs, and friendly people (actual friendly people, not these vanity driven robots we have in Canada, that lie to people, just to seem friendly). I'm not currently looking into moving anywhere. I just want to live, love, explore. Find anything in life that would make life actually worth living. I need a spark to reignite my will to live.
I'm mostly just wondering if any of you have decided to make similar ventures. Or would have any suggestions. Hence the topic name, tbh. I figured the best way to attract the type of people that wouldn't give me bullshit replies, would be to name the topic something that'd piss off the type of people that are less likely to give bullshit replies. Lol (people on the internet do love to rage-post).

2023.03.22 10:01 sw_faulty Why You Should Go Vegan
According to The Vegan Society:
"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."
1. Ethics
1.1 Sentience of Animals
I care about other human beings because I know that they are having a subjective experience. I know that, like me, they can be happy, anxious, angry or upset. I generally don't want them to die (outside of euthanasia), both because of the pain involved and because their subjective experience will end, precluding further happiness. Their subjective experience is also why I treat them with respect them as individuals, such as seeking their consent for sex and leaving them free from arbitrary physical pain and mental abuse. Our society has enshrined these concepts into legal rights, but like me, I doubt your appreciation for these rights stems from their legality, but rather because of their effect (their benefit) on us as people.
Many non-human animals also seem to be having subjective experiences, and care for one another just like humans do. It's easy to find videos of
vertebrates playing with one another,
showing concern, or
grieving loss. Humans have understood that animals are sentient
for centuries. We've come to the point that
laws are being passed acknowledging that fact. Even invertebrates can feel pain.
In one experiment, fruit flies learned to avoid odours associated with electric shocks. In another, they were given an analgesic which let them pass through a heated tube, which they had previously avoided. Some invertebrates show hallmarks of emotional states, such as honeybees, which can
develop a pessimistic cognitive bias. If you've had pets, you know that they have a personality. My old cat was lazy but friendly. My current cat is inquisitive and playful. In the sense that they have a personality, they are persons. Animals are people. Most of us learn not to arbitrarily hurt other people for our own whims, and when we find out we have hurt someone, we feel shame and guilt. We should be vegan for the same reason we shouldn't kill and eat human beings: all sentient animals, including humans, are having a subjective experience and can feel pain, enjoy happiness and fear death. Ending that subjective experience is wrong. Intentionally hurting that sentient being is wrong. Paying someone else to do it for you doesn't make it better.
1.2 The Brutalisation of Society
There are about 8 billion human beings on the planet. Every year,
our society breeds, exploits and kills about 70 billion land animals. The number of marine animals isn't tracked (it's measured by weight - 100 billion tons per year), but it's likely in the trillions. Those are animals that are sexually assaulted to cause them to reproduce, kept in horrendous conditions, and then
gased to death or stabbed in the throat or thrown on a conveyor belt and blended with a macerator. It's hard to quantify what this system does to humans. We know
abusing animals is a predictor of anti-social personality disorder. Dehumanising opponents and subaltern peoples by comparing them to animals has a long history in racist propaganda, and especially in war propaganda. The hierarchies of nation, race and gender are complemented by the hierarchy of species. If humans were more compassionate to all kinds of sentient life, I'd hope that murder, racism and war would be more difficult for a normal person to conceive of doing. I think that treating species as a hierarchy, with life at the bottom of that hierarchy treated as a commodity, makes our society more brutal. I want a compassionate society.
To justify the abuse of sentient beings by appealing to the pleasure we get from eating them seems to me like a kind of socially acceptable psychopathy. We can and should do better.
2. Environment
2.1 Greenhouse Gas Emissions
A
2013 study found that animal agriculture is responsible for the emission 7.1 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, or 14.5% of human emissions.
A
2021 study increased that estimate to 9.8 gigatonnes, or 21% of human emissions.
This is why
the individual emissions figures for animal vs plant foods are so stark, ranging from 60kg of CO2 equivalent for a kilo of beef, down to 300g for a kilo of nuts.
To limit global warming to 1.5 degrees by 2100, humanity needs to
reduce its emissions by 45% by 2030, and become net zero by 2050. Imagine if we achieve this goal by lowering emissions from everything else, but continue to kill and eat animals for our pleasure. That means we will have to find some way to suck carbon and methane out of the air to the tune of 14.5-21% of our current annual emissions (which is projected to increase as China and India increase their wealth and pick up the Standard American Diet). We will need to do this while still dedicating vast quantities of our land to growing crops and pastures for animals to feed on. Currently,
77% of the world's agricultural land is used for animal agriculture. So instead of freeing up that land to grow trees, sucking carbon out of the air, and making our task easier, we would instead choose to make our already hard task even harder.
2.2 Pollution
Runoff from farms (some for animals, others using animal manure as fertiliser) is
destroying the ecosystems of many rivers, lakes and coastlines. I'm sure you've seen aerial and satellite photographs of horrific pigshit lagoons, coloured green and pink from the bacteria growing in them. When the farms flood, such as during hurricanes, that pig slurry
spills over and infects whole regions with salmonella and listeria. Of course, even without hurricanes,
animal manure is the main source of such bacteria in plant foods. 2.3 Water and Land Use
No food system can overcome the laws of thermodynamics. Feeding plants to an animal will produce fewer calories for humans than eating plants directly (this is called 'trophic levels'). The ratio varies from
3% efficiency for cattle, to 9% for pigs, to 13% for chickens, to 17% for dairy and eggs. This inefficiency makes the previously mentioned 77% of arable land used for animal agriculture very troubling.
10% of the world was food insecure in 2020, up from 8.4% in 2019. Humanity is still experiencing population growth, so food insecurity will get worse in the future. We need to replace animal food with plant food just to stop people in the global periphery starving to death. Remember that food is a global commodity, so increased demand for soya-fed beef cattle in Brazil means increased costs around the world for beef, soya, and things that could have been grown in place of the soya.
Water resources are already becoming strained, even in developed countries like
America, Britain and
Germany. Like in the Soviet Union with the Aral Sea, America is actually causing some lakes, like the Great Salt Lake in Utah,
to dry up due to agricultural irrigation. Rather than for cotton as with the Aral Sea, this is mostly for the sake of animal feed.
86.6% of irrigated water in Utah goes to alfalfa, pasture land and grass hay. A cloud of toxic dust kicked up from the dry lake bed
will eventually envelop Salt Lake City, for the sake of
an industry only worth 3% of the state's GDP. Comparisons of water footprints for animal vs plant foods are gobsmacking, because pastures and feed crops take up so much space. As water resources become more scarce in the future thanks to the depletion of acquifers and changing weather patterns, human civilisation will have to choose either to use its water to produce more efficient plant foods, or eat a luxury that causes needless suffering for all involved.
3. Health
3.1 Carcinogens, Cholesterol and Saturated Fat in Animal Products
In 2015, the World Health Organisation reviewed 800 studies, and
concluded that red meat is a Group 2A carcinogen, while processed meat is a Group 1 carcinogen. The cause is things like salts and other preservatives in processed meat, and the
heme iron present in all meat, which causes oxidative stress. Cholesterol and saturated fat from animal foods have been known to cause heart disease for half a century, dating back to studies like the
LA Veterans Trial in 1969, and
the North Karelia Project in 1972. Heart disease
killed 700,000 Americans in 2020, almost twice as many as died from Covid-19.
3.2 Antimicrobial Resistance
A majority of antimicrobials sold globally are fed to livestock, with
America using about 80% for this purpose. The
UN has declared antimicrobial resistance to be one of the 10 top global public health threats facing humanity, and a major cause of AMR is overuse.
3.3 Zoonotic Spillover
Intensive animal farming
has been called a "petri dish for pathogens" with potential to "spark the next pandemic". Pathogens that have recently spilled over from animals to humans include:
1996 and 2013 avian flu 2003 SARS 2009 swine flu 2019 Covid-19, 3.4 Worker Health
Killing a neverending stream of terrified, screaming sentient beings is the stuff of nightmares. After their first kill, slaugherhouse workers
report suffering from increased levels of: trauma, intense shock, paranoia, fear, anxiety, guilt, and shame.
Besides wrecking their mental health, it can also wreck their physical health.
In 2007, 24 slaugherhouse workers in Minnesota began suffering from an autoimmune disease caused by inhaling aerosolised pig brains. Pig brains were lodged in the workers' lungs. Because pig and human brains are so similar, the workers' immune systems began attacking their own nervous systems.
The psychopathic animal agriculture industry is not beyond
exploiting children and
even slaves. submitted by

2023.03.22 09:41 cute-asduck I think cohort is wearing down my mental health.
TW: Passive suicidal ideation
I realized today that no one in my cohort really cares if I were to up and disappear. I’ve been struggling with depression, anxiety, and passive suicidal ideation since age 13 and my cohort has become so clique-y. I feel like the fat dumb classmate who makes it easy to ignore them. I try so hard to talk, be involved, and be available but I only have 24 hours a day for everything.
If you’ve read my last post, you’ll see that I’ve felt excluded all year and tonight was no exception. There’s a professional conference in a big city that thousands are attending, including many in my class. I went to an alumni meet and stayed for almost the entire time (3 hours) and left 15 minutes before the official end time as others had left earlier. I got a notification later of the group photos they took and I’m the only one missing. Even someone who showed up half an hour before it ended and has a pattern of being flakey and not caring about the program was in it.
Before anybody suggests it, yes I’ve had a therapist since 17 and am on psychiatric meds. My therapist and I have discussed how much of a clique it’s become and I was hopeful it’d get better second semester, but here I am in March feeling extremely defeated. I’m in one of the busiest, liveliest cities feeling like I want to vanish.

2023.03.22 07:35 PeppyMoss Potential Additional Features that would make Transformers: Tactical Arena a Lot Better.
In this post, we are going to discuss any cosmetic, functional, or gameplay-related features that could be added to Transformers: Tactical Arena to improve the players’ experience while playing the game. Red Games Co. nailed the gameplay itself and have already proven their ability to deliver great new cards, arenas, emotes, and music tracks in almost every update, but this list will include features that will improve this game in general, either improving the feel of the gameplay or adding more things to do in the main menu screen. These are going to be the types of additions the game needs to have before it can grow any further and expand to a wider audience. The list will be numbered in order of most wanted to not as most wanted, but still wanted (based on my personal preferences). Brace yourselves, here it goes:
- Add a selectable Landscape mode for mobile users:
There are two perspectives available to play the game in: Portrait mode and Landscape mode. Unfortunately, these perspectives are locked in to the system a player uses, with Portrait mode being limited to iPad and iPhone devices while Landscape mode is limited to Macs and Apple TVs. It would be impossible to implement Portrait mode to Macs and Apple TVs as that would limit the player’s perspective, but players on iPhones and iPads should be given a new option in the Settings that would allow them to choose whether to play the game in Portrait Mode, Landscape mode, or Both, depending on the device’s orientation. I would love to have the option to try playing this game in Landscape mode as it would totally change the perspective and the way I play along with it. You have no idea how frequently I miss while using Graviton Nexus because of the current portrait perspective I am limited to.
- Add a Match History feature with a controllable camera for Photo Mode:
This game needs a Match History of some sorts. Perhaps have the option positioned in the main menu between the Crates and Practice options. Not to crowd a respective device’s memory, the Battle Log should have 10 slots, which would fill in every time a Battle is played, sorted from latest at the top to recent at the bottom (preferably with times and dates indicated). If all 10 slots are filled, the recent game (10th in the list) would be automatically permanently deleted and the slot filled in with the next recorded game in queue, and so on. However, users would be given the option to Favorite or Save match replays of their choosing, which would go into a menu next to the Battle Log, have this option called Saved. The number of slots could be either infinite or a maximum of 30 saved replays. This is where the fun begins: the match replays would work in real time similarly to how the tutorial videos for the cards work. This would allow players to do the following: 1) Change perspective, viewing the match play out from their side or from the opponent’s side; and 2) Have a free cinematic camera mode that would give the players two cursors that would allow them to fly the camera around the arena and position it in ways like we have seen only in the trailers for TTA, almost like in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. This would allow players to create cinematic shots, get clips of cool moments from various perspectives, follow Megatron or Scorponok around as they ravage through the arena. Imagine the amount of advertising it would allow for if players started posting videos of Bumblebee Super Punching a turret from a close up shot, or Starscream swooping in in jet mode.
- Add more game modes:
A lot of people ask for a story mode to be added to the game. Though a story mode would be incredible, it’s a lot to ask for, considering how much work it would take to make. However, we as players have been stuck battling each other or the A.I. solo for more than a year now. I love this game for what it is, it has incredible gameplay that keeps holding it up despite its cons, but it can get boring and repetitive fast, and sometimes I have trouble pushing myself to play through five games every day. Giving players the option to play more modes would highly increase the replayability of this game. For example, when pressing on the Battle button from the Main Menu, instead of a wait queue immediately starting, players would be greeted by another menu, asking them which mode they want to Battle in. The options would be 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and perhaps Story Mode as the lower option (which would be an entire menu in of itself). Yes, you read that right, Red could go so far as to add a 3v3 mode. A while ago, I used to play a game called Mini Guns – Omega Wars. It’s dead now (servers shut down), but it was a unique Clash Royale-inspired mobile game with impressive visuals and fun original gameplay, similar to Transformers: Tactical Arena. It was later added to Steam as well, something I would love to see happen to TTA. There were 4 ways to play the game: it had a story mode, 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. 3v3 was chaotic and at the same time the best way to play the game, because if your cards were underleveled, you had two teammates who could carry you if they were maxed out, and you were thus more likely to win in 3v3 than in 2v2 and 1v1 modes. I want Transformers: Tactical Arena to have such similar features from Mini Guns – Omega Wars because it’s going to make the game so much more replayable.
- Add more profile customization:
Giving us the option to purchase and choose from a variety of Banners and Avatars was one of the most brilliant things the developers added to this game. However, being able to customize only three things (our names, portraits, and banners) is not enough. How about adding customizable Frames to our tags, such as Bumblebee or Sunstreaker sitting on top, or a boombox around our profile tag, or Scorponok’s claw, Starscream’s Seeker armada, or Soundwave’s minions in every corner of our profile tag? How about adding unique Effects to highlight our tags, such as flames, pink plasma, dripping blue Energon, etc.? How about allowing us to customize our names with unique Fonts? This will monetize the game further and allow us to buy more things with our hard-earned ORE-13.
- Add skin selection for unique characters:
Shortly after being first released, Trailbreaker had his eyes changed from the color red to the color blue. Megatron recently had his entire appearance changed as well, from a more G1-inspired one to a more IDW-inspired one. This got me thinking about how more different skins like that could be added to the game for players to purchase with ORE-13 and use to slightly customize the appearance of their favorite characters. For example, Trailbreaker could be given a blue skin with red eyes, while Megatron could be given his G1-inspired skin back, with the players choosing which they want their Megatron to wear, the older one or the newer one.
NOTE: Do not turn unique characters from Transformers lore into simple reskins of cards already in the game. I.E. Do not make Cliffjumper a red reskin of Bumblebee. Cliffjumper and Bumblebee are two totally unique characters with different fighting styles in Transformers lore. Doing so will also confuse the players. Not everyone will be able to tell that a Bumblebee is coming for their turret if he is painted blue, red, or white instead of bright yellow that will immediately jump into the players’ eyes and warn them. Do not turn Skywarp and Thundercracker into Starscream reskins when they are extremely different characters with unique abilities. Not even Nemesis Prime should be an Optimus Prime reskin. The reskins should be limited only to the unique, named characters in question.
Instead, what you could do is make skins of the characters based on their Shattered Glass versions, which would make sense since it’s something the recent update hinted at. Or have the skins be the Generation 2 (G2) repaints of the characters, or their original Marvel comic book appearances, like the red-eyed, blue-painted Trailbreaker, or remodels of the characters based on the IDW comics, like the recent Megatron reskin we got. Keep the skin selection limited to the named characters selected by the players while customizing their looks.
- Add skin selection for Main and Secondary Turrets.
Similarly to the unit skins presented previously and the tower skins from Clash Royale, Transformers: Tactical Arena can have something similar by allowing players to customize the way their main and secondary turrets look. It would be nice if the main turret could be customized separately from the secondary turrets, or, better yet, *have all three turrets be independently customizable*. The turrets could be labeled Left Turret, Main Turret, and Right Turret during the customization process. Such customization could include festive themes, holiday themes, or, my most wanted proposition, have unique characters become the turrets. Have the main turret be Sky Lynx, who sleeps before being activated, or Tarn sitting on a throne, or Fortress Maximus (with the Secondary Turrets being his extra city mode limbs), or a cloning vat with a Predacon in stasis inside (a reference to Transformers: Prime). Add whatever your imagination tells you to! We as players will love these additions.
- Add skin selection for structures:
Similarly to the unit card skin selection and turret skin selection, there should also be skin customization available for the various structures in the game, including the Decoy (players can choose the character model being projected by the Decoy as well as the Decoy base itself), spawners, Teleporters, smaller turrets, and other deployable building cards. If skins are added for units such as Sharkticons, Minions, and Autobot Troopers and Infantry, their skins should be customizable separately from their respective spawners/Teleporters when customizing the appearance of the structure cards themselves, but also included into the customization.
- Add in-game death animations:
There is nothing more lame than struggling to destroy Scorponok in-game just to see him pop into some Energon bits on death. It would have been so much better if Scorponok would fall back on death, fall apart, or explode into Energon bits. This could add more elements to the game such as Scorponok dealing damage after exploding on death, similarly to how the NOD Avatar explodes on death in Command and Conquer: Rivals. However, this does not apply to Scorponok only. Other characters should have death animations, such as Jazz getting ripped in half (a reference to his death in the 2007 Transformers movie), Megatron falling to his knees and landing on his chest due to how big and bulky he is, Crosshairs and Spinister spinning out of control and crashing into the ground, Optimus Prime falling back (a reference to his death in the 1986 Transformers movie), Windblade getting blasted back and her sword sticking into the ground (similarly to how Clash Royale’s Knight’s sword sticks into the ground when his is killed), Starscream transforming into his jet and flying away, not actually dying because he is a coward, etc. Minions and Drones would still have their current death animations, while Autobot Infantry and Troopers could have something more unique like breaking apart into parts on death. And keep these death animations relatively short and simple, no longer than 2 or 3 seconds, similarly to the way Metal Slug soldiers die when you shoot them.
- Add units emoting at the end of the game:
This may sound confusing but bear with me. Do you know how there is a 1 or 2 second delay between a winning turret being destroyed and the victory screen coming up? Ever played Metal Slug? Ever seen how the enemy troops cheered and celebrated when you died, taunting your death? Ever played Red Alert 2 or 3? Ever seen how the units on the map would start cheering if you achieved victory? Seeing something similar to that in this game would be downright INCREDIBLE. Not only would it taunt your opponent, but it would look fun and good from an entertainment perspective. Autobot Troopers could start throwing their pistols in the air. Autobot Infrantry could dance and jump around. Megatron could strike a victorious pose, hands on hips and straightened out. Optimus Prime could lower his Energon Axe similarly to how does it in the squad selection screen. Grimlock could stomp the ground and release a burst of fire into the air to celebrate. Sunstreaker could start firing rockets into the sky as fireworks. Trailbreaker could start firing at the sky as an act of celebration. Moonracer could holster her sniper rifle similarly to her squad selection idle animation. Bumblebee could start clapping. Brawn could crack his knuckles and fold his arms. Starscream could transform into a jet and fly off. Soundwave could transmit a radio signal. Shockwave could return to plotting his schemes the way he does during his idle animation in the Squad selection screen. Windblade could slowly holster her blade. On the contrary, if the game is lost, the units would have unique scared animations, either shivering in the same spot or panicking and running away. The possibilities are endless.
- Add new daily and weekly objectives with higher rewards.
Right now, the game cycles between about 10 different daily challenges that are fairly easy to complete, but the lack of uniqueness is very boring. Add more daily and weekly objectives that involve using newer cards such as Chromia instead of Bonecrusher, for example. Such objectivates would help out newer players and add more spice to more experienced players.
- Add more Squad slots:
3 Squads is not enough. Simple as. In comparison, Clash Royale allows players to create 10 different decks at once. Giving us the option to make 5 would be way better than limiting us to 3, even though a similar system to CR could be implemented and we could be given the full 10 Squad slots in TTA as well. I had to overwrite many fun and unique Squads with more practical ones in the past since I had only 3 slots to work with, and I can’t really experiment with making new Squads since I’m trying to stick with the 3 I already have.
- Add Squad randomization:
On the topic of Squad creation, it can be difficult for new players to create Squads that work, so creating a button that, once pressed, would auto-generate a random Squad would be great. Every randomly generated Squad would have at least 1 random tactical support card, at least 1 random tank car, at least 1 random win condition car, at least 1 random structure card, at least 1 random ranged unit card, at least 1 random melee unit card, and so on.
- Add more Crate types (a greater Crate variety for players to unlock):
The current four types of Crates we have are very good (Common, Rare, Epic, and Arena), but wouldn’t it be better if we had more options to unlock and upgrade cards and get ORE-13? Adding a greater variety of Crates would give players more reason to grind and would make leveling up slightly easier and more fun. You could add a Legendary crate that contained only Legendaries, a Giant crate which would contain the most cards of any other Crate, etc. Anything you could come up with would be better than us being stuck with the same old four (mostly three) types of Crates.
- Add more A.I. decks and fix the A.I. itself:
It’s nice to have the current A.I. decks memorized to allow for easy victories, but at the same time this should not be the case. Rather than having the A.I. use randomized decks, simply create more decks for it cycle through than
u/Picopede already listed in the following post: (
https://www.reddit.com/TransformersTactical/wiki/ai-squads/). Add decks with the new cards, have the A.I. use decks with cards like Starscream, Scorponok, both Chaser cards in one deck, Trailbreaker, Sharlticon Portal, Shockwave, Railgun, and other unused cards that never show up while fighting the A.I. at upper levels. Fix the old decks so that the A.I. knows how to use actual strategies and strong card combinations instead of spamming units like crazy, hoping to overwhelm the human opponents. The A.I. should be more interesting and rewarding to fight.
- Add a camera mode in the Squad screen that would allow us to look at the 3D models of the characters closer:
Sometimes, instead of playing the game, it feels good to sit back and take in its beautiful art style, which includes looking at the characters, reading through their bios, and watching their tutorial videos. It would be nice if there was more, if there was an option once you entered the Squad screen and clicked on a card, to press on a button for some sort of Camera Mode and look at the cards in greater detail, from different perspectives. Maybe we could even be given the option to play specific animations for the card we chose, such as first deployment, regular attack, idle animation, and any other animations that card has. This feature would also allow players to look at unique character, structure, and turret skins (proposed to be added in points 5, 6, and 7) from different perspectives before or after purchase in the Supply Shop.
- Add a controllable camera to the Crates selection screen:
When it comes to unlocking Crates, it can get a bit boring and repetitive to do so. Despite us getting the Open All button, I am the type of player who unlocks the Crates one by one to visually see the things I get and any milestones I reach with my card levels. This feature is definitely not a must, but it would improve the immersion of the game so much more if we could look at the different types of Crates from different perspectives, especially the unique Arena ones, or any other Crate types the developers might add.
- Add sound effects to emotes:
This has the danger of making the game more toxic, but it’s pretty lame to see an emote without actually hearing it. I love the emotes as they are, the way they look and the way they play. However, this addition might take a lot of work to implement, so it should not be a priority.
- Make the gameplay feel more smooth:
Now this point is a bit more techy than the previous ones, but this is a complaint about the gameplay itself. There is a certain edge to it, like there is always a delay to the things you do, or the gameplay itself feels choppy, like you are playing at 30 fps instead of 60 fps. I would say this may have been done to conserve battery power, but changing the graphics quality of the game does not improve its flow, in fact it makes the gameplay even more choppy and laggy. If there was an option added to the Settings that would allow to increase the smoothness of the game at the cost of battery usage, that would be great, because the game does not run on mobile the same way it does on the Apple TV, based on watching
u/Picopede ’s videos.
- Add a wait time for unit deployment.
In Clash Royale, when you want to deploy a card but do not have enough Elixir to do so, being 1 cost point short or so, the game deploys the card wherever you placed it on a certain wait queue that lasts a second or a millisecond before you accumulate enough Elixir, finally deploying the card later than you initially “planted” it. This can be both harmful, if you don’t plan ahead or misplace a card, and powerful, allowing for well-timed clutches and close calls. Transformers: Tactical Arena currently does not have this. You can either deploy a card if you have enough Energon, or you cannot. As a result, you have to hover your finger over the spot where you want to deploy a card while keeping your eyes on the Energon meter, which hinders your vision and allows you to make serious mistakes. Though depleting your Energon is a bad game strategy, this game should still have the same option of deploying your cards on millisecond-long queues, because I missed a lot of close calls and clutch moments due to either not being able to see the screen under my finger or the card I wanted to deploy not being deployed at all.
- Allow the deselection of cards in-game.
There is nothing more frustrating than misclicking on the arena after selecting a card but after changing your mind, and deploying a card you did not want to deploy at a random spot on the arena, for example at the bottom of the arena, right above the card selection bar. The only way of deselecting the card you currently have selected is to click on a different card, and you better not accidentally click somewhere randomly on the arena, or else the game will be lost. Players should have the option of deselecting the card they currently have selected. This can be done by either swiping down on the same card (since the card you have selected is raised up), or pressing a new x button added to the selected card, anything would be better then just hovering over what we have selected without being able to click anywhere else on the screen. It would also clear the screen up of the checkered pattern that appears every time you select a card, which would allow for better control of players’ vision.
- Fix ranged units not firing at enemy units within melee range.
There is a very annoying bug that happens whenever units approach ranged units really closely - the ranged units just simply stop firing at them. For example, if Optimus Prime enters Charge in his truck mode and Shockwave is standing right in front of him as he passes, Shockwave won’t fire at Optimus and will just allow him to pass without stunning him. This is true for all ranged units, including Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Arcee, Jazz, Starscream, Rotorstorm (he won’t fire at units directly under him), etc. The only exception is Megatron who uses Backhand in melee range. Either add melee attacks similar to Megatron’s Backhand to all ranged units or just simply allow them to fire at targets right in front of them.
- Add a new leaderboard.
This is an idea proposed by the other people on this Subreddit, such as
u/Boosetro. Though I agree with the idea of having more than two leaderboards for a general ranking and the number of turrets destroyed, I don’t know if I agree with this idea in particular. Diving out PvP from PvE would force players to wait to play the game in PvP mode, which is rarely fun, competitive, and thus rather frustrating. People are free to disagree though, and I will leave it up to the developers to think about this point. Perhaps add a new Ranked leaderboard that would be limited to PvP matches.
- Add a new Spectator Mode that will allow players to attend and observe other real-time matches.
This feature follows the feature proposed in Part 2. Once a Battle Log feature is successfully added to the game, a Spectator mode should also be added, which would allow players to join and view a random or selected game happening in real time between two other players or between a player and a bot. This addition would be similar to what Clash Royale has. Players playing the game would be able to view how many people are spectating them, and the spectators would be able to use minimized emotes and cheer for the players they are spectating (or the opponents) without distracting either player. The reason I placed this feature so far down in the list is because I don’t consider its addition that important, though other people here may disagree. I never liked the spectator feature in Clash Royale and thus don’t think Transformers: Tactical Arena needs one. However, it’s up to the developers to decide whether they want to implement this or not.
Thus, that amounts to a total of 23 items (and counting) to improve the feel of the game. It is up to the developers to decide whether they want to add these features or not, but I can guarantee they would make the game feel so much better. Please consider some of these. If you have any extra ideas, make sure to comment them down below! Thank you for reading through this list!

2023.03.22 06:02 MathieuLouisVic It would be nice to have Custom Resolutions
Being able to run Netflix or the XMB on 4K despise having a PS4 Fat and then having the possibility to change the resolution of the game. Like you press some keys and it opens a menu that allow you to choose any resolution between 540P to 1080P in any APP changing the FPS accordingly.

2023.03.22 05:16 THROWRAlostagain231 Follow up and update: difficult conversation
Hi again friends,
Thank you to everyone who reached out in the comments or with a message after my first post, which is here if you read this and want to catch up:
https://www.reddit.com/AsOneAfterInfidelity/comments/11rmv9u/difficult_conversation_with_betrayed_friend/ It has been a long and very busy week, and this is the first opportunity I've had to come back and engage with Reddit, but I've seen and appreciate all the support. I intend to respond to all of them in turn, but since my wife's affair is at the heart of the issues, and I was pretty vague about the details in my first post, I thought sharing more of our story might help. Beside, just being able to share here is extremely therapeutic. The supportive community and the anonymity allowed me to be more honest here than I've *ever* been able to be in person. So thank you all again.
My wife's affair never got sexual in person, but there were plans to. A few months before D-Day, I noticed my wife being more protective of her phone: angling away from me when using it, putting it away when I walked into the room, taking it to the bathtub or shower with her. I thought it was strange, but not a huge deal. No real suspicions at that point. There was one incident that really raised my eyebrow though. We've always had free use of each other's phone. If one of us ever said "hey, let me see your phone" we handed it over no question. One day, I wanted to look up a new restaurant that I wanted us to try, and my phone was charging, so I asked to see it. She asked why, and I told her, so she looked up the menu and showed me, but she never handed me her phone, just looked at it with me while she was holding it. Combined with the other behavior, I started to get suspicious. After sitting on my concerns for a few days, I brought it up, and asked her if there was something going on with someone else. She told me of course there wasn't, but one of her friends was going through something very personal and sensitive, and that she was trying to protect her friend's privacy. She assured me that she loved me and would never do anything to jeopardize us or our family.
It was understandable that she would want to be a good friend, so I dropped it, but that sinking feeling in my gut kept telling me that something wasn't right. The sketchy behavior stopped (well, I thought it did, but evidently I just made her aware enough to not be so obvious). There was another big incident that really convinced me that something was going on. I'll try to be tasteful here, but I think the details are significant. My apologies if any of the details are upsetting, and feel free to skip to the next paragraph if you aren't interested in the specifics. One afternoon, we were being intimate, and she grabbed her phone and wanted to record. This was unusual, as she's really reserved and has always been slightly uncomfortable with cameras, even out of the bedroom, so this was weird, but I though maybe she wanted to add some excitement. I asked her what the deal with the camera was. She kind of sheepishly answered that she wanted to watch herself. I was glad to see a more adventurous urge, so I went with it. She began to perform oral and recording herself with her selfie camera, and she's *really* into it. She normally only performed this act when I asked, but she volunteered this time, and was really enthusiastic, staring into the camera and and making sensual noises. When it was over, she made a big display for the camera to show that she'd...um, disposed, of the results, which was something that she never did, as well (I know, I'm sorry, but this video is pretty important to the fallout). So this whole thing, the camera, the enthusiasm, the other thing, were all way out of character, but I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. It was obviously an enjoyable experience for me, and I didn't want to shame her or make her feel bad for being adventurous. So I just carried on like normal, and kind of hoped that we might continue down that road together. But I've been with my wife since we were 20, and this was very out of character for her, and it just stoked that gut feeling I had that something was amiss.
On one occasion a few weeks after the video incident, I was able to get her phone and looked through her messages and camera roll, but I didn't see anything that shouldn't be there. Some time later, I remembered that we both use the feature on our phones that automatically backs up camera pictures to Google Photos. She had a user profile on my laptop, so I logged in, and used her saved credentials to access her Google account. Nothing unusual in her email, but my heart dropped when I opened her Photos. There were a lot, and I mean a lot, of nude photos and sexual videos backed up there, going back about four months. I'd never seen any of them, so they weren't taken for or sent to me. She'd deleted them from her phone, but not from her back up, I guess. I booted up the video camera on my phone, and scrolled the screen over what I found, in case she somehow remembered and deleted it before I confronted her about it
I sat on the info for a few days, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and think of any reason that those would be there. This was before OF really took off, but I thought maybe she was posting sexy stuff online somewhere, but this would have been wildly out of character for her. Like I said, she's always been very private and reserved. I honestly couldn't conceive of any situation other than her being involved with someone else that would account for these. So, I again told her that something was off with her, and that I suspected that she was involved with someone else. I didn't tell her what I found, as I really hoped that she would have some explanation that would clear things up and make me look silly. She got a little indignant, telling me that we'd been through this already and that of course there wasn't anything going on. I asked her again if there was anything she wanted to get off her chest, and she again said no. I'd accessed her Google account again in anticipation of this conversation, so I showed her everything that I'd found, and told her that she needed to explain all the sexual content in her Google account.
She looked a little shocked, but composed herself quickly and said that I'd ruined a sexy anniversary gift that she was intending to give me. That since we both have to leave town from time to time, she wanted me to have some spicy content for when we're apart. I didn't buy it, I bluffed and told her that her Google account wasn't the only thing I had access to, and if she didn't tell me the truth immediately, I was leaving. She broke down crying, saying that it wasn't what it looked like, she was sorry, and that she didn't "do" anything, but was just being stupid.
I asked her who he was, and she said he was a colleague. They met at a regional function for work late in 2016 (about seven months before D-Day). He works in the same position as that she does at a different branch of the same company (it was in another major city in our state, about 200 miles away). They initially corresponded via email about work related stuff, then exchanged numbers. She swears that her intention was just to share professional advice and tips, since he'd been in that job for several years while she just got promoted to that position, and that initially, that was the nature of their correspondence. The texts slowly got more personal, with him eventually initiating flirting, which he reciprocated. He recommended that they move their conversation to an encrypted messaging app (my impression is that this slimeball made a habit of of pursuing married women). So they did. She deleted these initial exchanges (which is why I never found it) but the remainder of their exchange was still in the messaging app they used.
I told her that I wanted to see it. She fought and cried and tried to get me to not look at it, but I reminded her that I was prepared to pack a bag and leave if she wasn't full forthcoming, so she opened the app, handed it over, and curled up in a ball with her head between her knees.
The thread was disgusting. Very, very graphic sexual messages, picture, and videos. They both expressed excitement for an upcoming work event in the summer that would require a two night hotel stay, with graphic messages about what they intended to do to each other.
As I'm reading all this, my mind jumps to the video I described earlier, and I ask her if she sent it to him. She just started crying harder. So I scroll up the the thread until I find the video. They sent several messages back and forth about it, including him tell her how much he enjoyed pleasuring himself to it, and how hot she thought that was, and so on.
Man, that really hit me hard. I felt so unbelievably violated by her sharing this video. Not only did she share a very private, intimate video of me in a very vulnerable act (for context, I've never even taken a P-pic, much less sent one, sharing this with anybody would have been a big deal for me, much less someone she was involved with), but they also made me an unwilling participant in their sexual relationship. Maybe not really, but it certainly felt like it. Looking back, it also really hurt to think that I was just a proxy for her AP in the video, and all the adventurousness that I was excited to see was for *him*, not for me. So, I left, and told her I wanted to divorce, which is where my first post started out.
Some of you asked about the lack of connection that I feel with my wife even after being back together for several years. And I wonder if maybe that part of me that feel connection and intimacy was just broken by the affair. During our separation, sex just felt so empty. I remember laying in bed after one weekend, thinking that I *should* be feeling something. I was with a beautiful woman, sharing a vulnerable and beautiful moment, but I just didn't feel anything. The whole time, I just wanted the connection and intimacy that sex used to provide for my wife and I, but I just never did, which made me feel guilty and pretty bad about myself. I hoped that when my wife and I got back together, that I would finally feel that sense of satisfaction and connection again, but I didn't with her either. All the physical stuff is good...sex is pleasurable, but not satisfying. It still fells like I'm sleeping around with my wife, if that makes any sense.
Things have gotten a little better with my wife since I posted. We've talked a little bit. She's perceptive and smart, so she knew what was bothering me. I asked her, in particular, why she felt like she could judge my friends wife for doing the same thing that she did. She said that she didn't do the same thing. Mike's wife slept with someone else multiple times, and she never did. She's evidently convinced herself that she never had any intention of having sex with her AP. I reminded her about the exchanges, and she said something like "I f*cked up and got carried away, but I wasn't really going to do anything."
She doesn't get it...or maybe I don't. I don't know. On the one hand, I know our story could be much worse. On the other, it feels really bad, even now. But at least we're talking.
Some asked about therapy as well. We never resumed MC after that first meeting, though my wife continued IC throughout our separation. There is considerable baggage in my family regarding mental health treatment (my grandmother was treated very badly by mental health professionals in a much less compassionate time), so that has been a big obstacle for me in seeing anybody for myself. Not really sure how to get past that...
As for Mike, I'm giving him space like you all suggested. I texted him that I loved him, that I was sorry for what was happening to him, and that I was here if he needed me. He responded with a thumbs up. Poor guy, I wish I could help him.
Thanks again to you all for being a sounding board. I can't tell stuff like this to anyone in my life. Either they'll judge me, or judge my wife, and that doesn't help anybody. Advice and encouragement are appreciated again.

2023.03.22 04:58 ashabash88 Trip Report - 3/8 to 3/19 - Osaka, Tokyo, Nagano with 8 people and some people with mobility issues
I lurked a bunch in this group before my trip so am hoping that a trip report will help others. We had a larger group and a couple people in the group are mobility challenged so some of my tidbits are unique to those aspects.
Some general notes:
-I got a pocket wifi from Ninja Wifi and it was great. I picked it up from Kansai and dropped off at Narita and it was so easy. I rushed through customs and had it before the others were all through. Others in the group were using their travel plans (T mobile and Verizon) and by the end of the trip most were just connecting to my wifi because it was much faster. It wasn't completely perfect and had a couple glitches here and there, but nothing that restarting the unit didn't fix. I did bring my own power bank and 100% needed it.
-We flew into Kansai and landed around 7pm. The entry at Kansai was a breeze. Everyone had done the Visit Japan ahead of time. We took screenshots but there is airport wifi in the customs area so we could have used that as well. We were through and had our bags within 30 minutes.
-It did take us a couple of days to get the hang of the various train lines, reading google maps, etc. A lot of the train station are huge as well so we learned to allow ALOT more time than google suggested for walking, especially since our group moved on the slower side. I tried to prep everyone to add Suica/Pasmo on their phones but myself and my mom were the only ones who actually did. Two people had physical IC cards from a previous trip but the other 4 kept putting it off and ended up not ever getting an IC card. It was a huge pain to stop and get tickets every time and they regretted it by the end of the trip.
-I had saved everything using Google's MyMap before we left but I ended up not using it very much. I chose it so I could color code locations but it didn't integrate very well into the app. I had to click on the saved maps every time I wanted to see what was around us, and you also can't add anything on the app. This could be user error as this was my first time using the MyMaps instead of a list but I'll probably go back to just creating a list within the app next time.
-We brought little goodies with us to hand out in lieu of tips and everyone loved them. Little things like mac nuts (we are from Hawaii) were received with much exclamation and appreciation.
-We were celebrating 3 different birthdays while we were there so we did reserve those dinners, since we had a larger party. We mostly split up for the rest of the meals. I can't speak to how easily we would have gotten in without reservations as we didn't try.
-Like everyone else, I HIGHLY recommend the luggage transfer services. It was so nice to take the train from city to city with just a backpack. We stayed in hotels in each place and the front desk handled it for us each time. I had a larger suitcase and it was about 2000 yen for each of the transfers (Osaka to Tokyo and Tokyo to Nagano). The only time we took our luggage was on the last train ride back to the airport and that's only because we forgot to ask how far in advance we would need to drop off and I was nervous about getting it in time for the flight. It probably would have been fine though. I also left my computer charger in Osaka and the hotel shipped it to me overnight. You usually pay when you drop off your bags but they let me pay that one upon pickup.
-Day 0 - Arrived in Osaka. We stayed at the Swissotel Nankai Osaka and it is located on top of Namba station. This hotel was recommended to us by a flight attendant who travels to Japan frequently and it was great for convenience being right at the train and metro station. It was a 10 minute walk to the Dotonbori area, which was about the maximum that my aunt could walk with her walker.
- Day 1 - day trip to Nara. I signed us up for a free tour with the YMCA EGG Club and it was fantastic. We did get a wheelchair from the Kintetsu station info office. They have exactly one available and it's first come, first serve but our guide said she has never seen anyone use it before. It was perfect for us as there was a lot of walking that day. A few things were not accessible but we could leave the wheelchair outside and my aunt could use her cane.
We split up after the tour to get lunch. Me and an auntie ended up at Maguro Koya for oo toro and it was the perfect first lunch in Japan. A true mom and pop but they did have an English menu and spoke great English. It was only a few blocks from the Kintetsu station as well. Auntie and I had a few cups of sake as well and after a lingering and delicious lunch we went back to the train station and back to Osaka.
After a nap, we took a couple of cabs to the Dotonbori area since we were running late for dinner. In hindsight, it was silly for all of us to cab since the able bodied could have walked in the same amount of time. We didn't know our way around yet, though, so we all just cabbed. Dinner was at the Kanidoraku crab restaurant on the Dotonbori. It was just OK, probably wouldn't go back as there are so many fantastic places in Osaka. After dinner we went to Donki for a little chaos. Uncle nearly had a panic attack at the crowds and needed to wait outside.
-Day 2 - day trip to Kyoto - Only half of us did this as the other half had been before. We wanted to see as much as possible in the day so we reserved a guided taxi tour with Doi Taxi. It was 40,000 yen for our group of 4 and up to 7 hours but there was no way we were going to get to see much if we had to walk and take busses. I had asked him to take us to one temple and requested few stairs and little walking. He started by driving us to Gion and we did get out and walk around a bit. I had requested lunch at Yudofu Sagano in Arashiyama and if you like tofu you must go there! We walked around the Tenryu-Ji temple and gardens after lunch, which was beautiful. The Arashiyama area was packed with people. I thought Gion would be the crowded area but it had nothing on Arashiyama. After the temple we headed back to the train station to go back to Osaka. We probably didn't get quite the bang for our buck that we could have but we were getting very tired.
-Day 3 - free day. We all did our own thing. Some went to Osaka Castle, some did the Aquarium, and some just wandered.
Day 4 - Osaka to Tokyo. The teenagers were not impressed that we woke them up to get to the train station early to get bentos. They would have preferred to sleep and grab Family Mart but the rest of us wanted to browse and pick out the perfect ekiben. The selection was not as large as I was expecting at Shin-Osaka but we did still get some goodies. The teenagers were not impressed by the Nozomi and slept but the rest of us enjoyed our bentos and scenery. We got some beers and highballs from the snack cart and noted that they only took cash or IC cards, not credit cards.
Our hotel in Tokyo was the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu. It wasn't quite as nice as the Swissotel but had a prime location right on the Scramble and the rooms were decently sized for Japan. My uncle almost had a panic attack when we got out of the Shibuya Station and he saw all of the people but he got used to it. We booked this hotel pretty far in advance and got a great deal. When I checked closer to the trip (just for giggles) it was a lot more expensive.
Day 5 - Tsukiji Market in the morning for breakfast/lunch/shopping then TeamLab Planets. Nothing new to report about those activities but this day is when we started to have issues finding escalators and elevators in the train station. Several stations in Tokyo were under construction and there were a couple of times we couldn't find any accessible options. Luckily, our mobility challenged people aren't totally immobile and could take the stairs but it was very tiring for them. I did appreciate that most of the subways and trains (and busses) have screens that show the stops and the location of escalators and elevators but they weren't always accurate if there was construction.
I really wanted to go to the Shibuya Yokocho for dinner and everyone in the group liked that idea, even the teens. I didn't think there was any chance we would all be able to eat together but we went early just in case. To my surprise we did find one place that could seat exactly 8 (if we crammed, which we did) and it was wonderful. I have no idea what it is called since most of the signs outside are in Japanese but the ownechef/bartender is named Hiro. We had some of my favorite bites of the whole trip there including a uni miso omelet and blue cheese baked mochi. The "menu" was just slips of paper on the wall, all in Japanese, but it was fun to try and use Google Translate and pick random things based on the translation. The mochi, for example, translated as "blue rice". A few of the adults bar hopped after dinner and we had a great time at each place, but Hiro's was my favorite.
Day 6 + 7 - Random Tokyo wandering and nothing interesting or crazy to report. Uncle went to Golden Gai by himself and reported that he liked the Shibuya Yokocho better. He thought Golden Gai seemed like a larger, more touristy version.
We did go to Tokyo Skytree one of these days and for the love, make a reservation if you want to go there. They do let you buy tickets same day but the line was horrendous and we were regretting our lack of planning as we watched the people with reservations walk right up.
Day 8 - Tokyo to Nagano - Our group split at this point. Half started in Shibu Onsen for some relaxation and half went to Lotte Arai resort for some skiing. I was part of the Shibu group so I'll report mainly on that. We chose Shibu because it was close to the snow monkey park and for the onsen experience. Shibu has 9 "public" onsen that only locals and people staying in a ryokan in Shibu get a key for. Getting there was very easy. The shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano took 1.5 hours and then the Dentetsu line to Yudanaka was about an hour. Our hotel picked us up at the train station.
Shibu was one of the highlights of the trip and it was especially relaxing after Tokyo. We stayed at the Shibu Hotel, which is a ryokan and family run for over 100 years. It was a bit of a splurge but we chose to include the kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The service was incredible. There are two brothers that are basically shuttling people around all day, to and from the train station and to and from the snow monkey park, and running the hotel. One of the wives and the mother run the front desk. The ryokan also has several public and private onsen for guests. It seemed like a lot of the ryokan in town were similar but as I've only stayed at Shibu Hotel I can only speak for them. Also important to note, they have a few rooms with Western style beds and an elevator, which is the main reason we stayed there. Most of the ryokan only offer Japanese style rooms, which I would have been fine with by myself but did not work for the group.
Shibu was very accessible, which I was not expecting. The town is tiny and the whole thing can be walked easily. Some of the little alleys weren't walker friendly but the main streets were tiled (I think), very smooth and wide enough for the walker. Not all of the onsen were accessible but most had a little step/s or railing so we could all participate. It was some family bonding for sure LOL
Day 9 - Snow Monkeys! We took the hotel shuttle to the park entrance and they even had snow boots for us, as the trail gets icy or muddy depending on the season. It was cold but not icy for us but we still appreciated the boots as it was a bit muddy in spots. It took us about 20 minutes to walk each way but I can see it taking much longer if there's snow or ice. There were so many monkeys and they were very unconcerned with people. No shit throwing or bag stealing was seen, unlike my previous monkey experience in Thailand. You could do this as a day trip from Nagano or even Tokyo very easily. This was not accessible as there are stairs at the beginning and end of the trip and auntie didn't want to try and walk a mile so she stayed at the hotel and enjoyed coffee in the lobby and browsing some of their homemade goodies (green onion miso, yum!).
We then took the local train back to Nagano and checked in to the Metropolitan Hotel, again right at the train station (have you sensed our preference yet). Lunch was at Misoya for my favorite ramen of the trip. I love me some miso. We saw the main temple in Nagano and visited the sake brewery close by.
Day 10 - Last full day and it was raining and cold. We didn't do a whole lot this day because of the rain but did some last minute shopping. At the Tokyu department store we found the best basement grocery with a bunch of food stalls so we grabbed a bunch of different foods and a bottle of local sake for lunch in the room.
Day 11 - Lunch at Misoya again before catching the Shinkansen back to Tokyo Station and then the Narita Express to the airport. We were pretty disappointed in the food and shopping options at Terminal 2, unfortunately. We left Nagano after lunch at 1:30 so had allowed extra time at the airport for dinner and some duty free shopping but nothing was open by the time we got through security at 6pm. We should have had dinner outside of security but we didn't realize nothing would be open. There was one little conbini that has some tuna musubi and egg salad sandwiches so that was dinner. We were more sad that the duty free was closed as we had been planning on buying some of our whisky and sake allotment there. We didn't come home empty handed but just less than we had planned.
Whew, that took awhile to write. I hope someone, somewhere finds any part of this helpful!
