TL; DR: looking for recommendations for specific sheets (eg brand and model) that withstand high-temperature Clorox washes while feeling luxurious. Towels, too, and throw blankets that don’t fade.
I’ve been looking through this subreddit’s advice on sheets and combining it with my experience. Here’s my situation:
My previous AirBNB was of solid quality, but not as nice as my new one will be. Both AirBNBs hosted my guests in my personal home. My new home is entirely renovated and updated.
Based on online reviews, I previously bought Target threshold sheets for my last AirBNB. I had used Target Fieldcrest in the past for myself, so I thought the Threshold would be fine. They weren’t. They came out of the dryer extremely wrinkled and there was nothing I could do. I never even knew this was a potential issue with sheets!
I don’t know if this is normal or not, but if I had any guests of African descent, I ended up spending a ridiculous amount of time picking individual leg hairs out from the Threshold sheets. I don’t know if this is a issue for other brands or not. Either way, I feel like I had a bigger issue with hair in general with the Threshold sheets than I did with the Fieldcrest.
The sheets also weren’t soft or nice at all. So I just don’t feel like I can trust online reviews for sheets anymore. And clearly, there is a lot of variation even within the same brand, so I’m looking for specific models.
Spending the whole day washing, ironing, picking hairs, lint rolling, etc - I can’t do it. I do have a job, so I can’t take the day off 2-3 times a week to deal with sheets. At the last AirBNB, I ended up doing only long-term rentals only partly for this reason. I’m happy to do some of it, but the ironing is just too much.
Here’s my set-up:

• For sanitary reasons, I do white sheets only with bleach and vinegar. I will add Borox based on this Reddit’s past advice and perhaps oxyclean.
  
• I use a duvet cover (triple sheeting just doesn’t work for me to keep the comforter from contacting a person’s skin; I have learned this from my experience with Husband-the-sheet-destroyer).
  
• I obviously have a fitted sheet and also include a flat sheet to use if guests get too warm from the duvet.
  
• I have a soft and firm pillow on each side of the bed (so 4 pillowcases per bed).
  

-All the pillows and mattresses have complete enclosures to keep them sanitary and bug-resistant (which fortunately has not been an issue for us).

• I finish it off with a throw blanket for some color that matches a small decorative pillow. I only use one. I don’t like trying to deal with 30 decorative pillows as a guest :)

I like the idea of surprising my guests with how relaxing and nice things are. The pillows I selected did this nicely!
For sheets, I would like the fitted sheet and pillow cases to be as soft and luxurious-feeling as possible. The duvet cover, on the other hand, I would like to look as nice as possible, even if it isn’t as comfortable, because they’ll never feel it anyway.

• The reviews I’ve seen for bamboo sheets online say that they are just about the best feeling sheets you can get, but aren’t very durable. They also are supposed to be washed at low temperatures/etc, which isn’t very sanitary for having different guests in and out. They are also supposed to wrinkle. Are there any specific brands that you’ve had good experience with standing up to Clorox, high temperatures, and repeated washes? Ones that are actually well-made and also don’t wrinkle so much?
  
• Or is jersey knit or flannel a better option for the non-duvet sheets? I’ve heard microfiber can get sweaty and gross, so I don’t want that.
  
• Are there any mattress toppers that feel luxurious but don’t cause the sweat that foam does?
  
• The throw blankets had a beautiful, rich color initially, but faded almost right away when I washed them in between guests. Are there beautiful throws out there that stay radiant?
  
• What would be the best looking fabric choice for the duvet?
  
• What do you think about microfiber terry towels? I’ve heard that they have the benefits of the softness of microfiber with the other nice benefits of cotton. Thoughts?
  

This is much longer than I intended! I hope I don’t come off as weirdly focused on this, I just enjoy designing a snuggly little nest and like my guests to have that a 5-star experience!

I saw a dachshund running across the street near Fieldcrest Dr off of Oltorf. He had a collar and looked confused so I tried to grab him to see if there was a number on his collar but unfortunately he ran and I lost him off of Cumberland Road. I don't know if there are any owners in that area looking for their puppy but I thought I'd make a post just to check.
