2023.05.31 13:19 SylvieSerene Why does this hatred exist towards people who speak hindi?

Today my uncle was driving and a family of bengalis were driving by too so it so happened that they blocked the road by driving in an awkward position in an already busy road so my uncle tried to drive past him since his daughter needs to buy her wedding accessories and the shop closes by 6 PM but this for some reason infuriated the car of the other family and they started yelling curses and swears that they were in a hurry and we were wasting their time. My uncle decided to be calm about it and tried to drive back but in hindi said "It will take a few minutes since the passage is narrow as it is, please wait" And the other car retaliated for no reason in broken hindi saying "Go back to your bihari village from where you came from cuz clearly you don't have a single idea on how the road works here"
And this pissed my uncle off enough that they both fell in argument which ended up in a screaming match and almost ended in a fist fight and lasted for over half an hour and jammed the whole place. Though police didn't get involved, it does make me think....why does hatred towards hindi speaking ppl is so rampant in West bengal? Ppl effectively start looking you as a downcast or backward once you say hindi is your first language? Even in school, ppl start treating you like some alien once you reveal you are non bengali. You get good grades in hindi, they are like "We didn't get that cuz we aren't non bengali like you" are bengali aren't you? I don't see you scoring top notch marks in bengali, your native tongue... Ethnicity doesn't define your academics. A lot of my new friends directly say "I hate non bengalis. They are so backward and filthy. I would never wanna be friends with one" in front of me (they don't know about me being one and now that ik about their thinking, obv I won't reveal)
Why do bengali ppl do look down upon who aren't? If we all live in the same state why discriminate and differentiate others? Why can't we exactly live in peace together? It's literally a difference of language and maybe in ancestral point of origin but now that we aren't in a same state....why can't we accept our differences? I have never seen many ppl from my ethnicity shit upon bengalis...why do bengalis treat themselves as a superior race?
Why do we have to constantly lie about being a bengali just to avoid being hated for who we are ??

2023.05.31 13:18 Capable_Log_3683 [24F] [24M] Is this relationship going to last?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 1.5 years and we’ve both met our families on a number of occasions.
I want to get married and settle down by my late 20s and have kids one day, so I think about marriage a lot and if my boyfriend and I will ever get married. If he were to propose right now, I would say yes. The thing is though, my boyfriend has never legitimately thought about marriage. He has said in the past that he’s scared to commit and that’s why we put off moving in together. I heard somewhere that men usually know if they want to marry their partner by 2 years. I’m sure it differs for everyone but my boyfriend has never thought about marrying me and I don’t know if he ever will. He says he thinks its too soon right now and he has thoughts about how I would be a good wife, but not his wife apparently.
I feel like his parents divorce when he was a kid had some affect on his decision of not considering marriage. I could be wrong of course. I just feel like if he thinks 1.5 yrs is too soon to think about marriage, will he ever think it’s a good time to consider marriage? I don’t know and I don’t think so. I don’t know if I should keep dating someone who doesn’t know if they want to marry me or not because marriage is a dream of mine. Is it worth waiting for?
tl;dr: boyfriend has never considered marriage and never thought about marrying me in our 1.5yrs of dating. He thinks it’s too soon but he does think I would make a good wife. Will he ever think about marrying me or is this relationship over?

2023.05.31 13:18 Rentashelfhelp Rent a shelf dispute - small claims

Whilst I’m not technically involved in the matter, I am from a distance and the situation is making me worry.
If someone is renting a shelf at a gift shop, and was told to buy in stock as their other products weren’t selling, how likely would a small claims court judge in their favour if they seek to be paid for the stock they bought in? The shop recently “fired” them as their products weren’t selling, and they had an issue with a craft market that was organised for the shop. They (the fired person) is threatening to take the shop to small claims court, claiming that they had to by the stuff in and demanded to be reimbursed by the shop. There are no contracts and from what I gather most of these conversations were done in person, so there’s little on paper. They have also taken to social media to try and ruin the reputation of said shop.

2023.05.31 13:17 kalani_ming Rafaela Revamp Ideas

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about ideas on how to make Rafaela a more popular pick, with a greater niche and more unique skills. She’s currently alright, but with a largely useless passive and I hope that eventually changes! In the meantime, I’ve just put down some ideas on how I think her skills may be changed to make her a mass debuffer, rather than healer. Of course, I’m not a professional so I’m not experienced with balancing skills and it’s my first time doing a post like this as well so do excuse me if certain things don’t make sense :,)
Passive: The Goddess’ wrath Upon death, Rafaela has two passives. (1) Where Rafaela has fallen teammates, she may choose to resurrect one of them immediately. In exchange for doing so, she incurs an additional amount of time on her death timer, scaling with the amount of time the fallen hero has on their own death timer (up to an additional 40 seconds). This is to prevent “suicidal” Rafaela’s who continuously enter turrets to activate their passive and resurrect the team carry. (2) Where Rafaela has NO fallen teammates, she blesses her teammates and curses the enemy team. A bright light envelops her teammates, increasing their movement speed and magic/physical attack (whichever is higher) by 10%. A dark miasma envelops all heroes on the enemy team, slightly obscuring their vision and decreasing their movement speed and magic AND physical defence by 10%. This lasts 4 seconds.
Skill 1: Light of Retribution Rafaela strikes the 3 nearest enemies with Light of Retribution, dealing them 150% (+100% total magic power) magic damage and slowing them by 50% for 1 sec. Doing so creates a mark on the enemy. If said enemy is hit by 2 different skills by an allied champion within 6 seconds, the mark detonates, and the enemy champion is dealt damage equal to 10% of their health and stunned for 0.7 sec.
Skill 2: Light of Redemption Rafaela may choose to bathe either herself or one allied hero in holy light. Doing so creates a veil that allows the hero to avoid all enemy basic attacks for 3 sec, while recovering 15% of their max health.
Skill 3 (Ultimate): Zone of repentance Rafaela creates a rapidly expanding, circular zone around herself, which lasts for a total of 6 seconds. All enemies caught within the zone are stunned for 1 second and suffer a 10% decrease in magic attack, physical attack, physical defence and magic defence for 5 sec. All allies gain a proportionate increase in their stats and are healed for 20% of their max health. Rafaela will not be a sitting duck either. For the duration of her ultimate, Rafaela gains a shield equivalent to 30% of her max health and an 70% reduction in all damage done to her.

2023.05.31 13:17 brokenwings_1726 Just failed an important exam...

Well, the exam closed about 40 minutes ago, and with it, any hope I had of graduating this year. I need to pass all my modules to graduate, and with this result, there's no way it happens. Despite revising and trying to familiarise myself with exam-style questions as best as I could, I blanked out and panicked in the real thing. Again. I didn't finish the paper, which means at most, I can get 72%, and that's not taking into account me getting stuff wrong (even questions I thought were easier).
The worst part is the hope, I think. It's the human instinct to just believe things will get better. That's what does it for me. I keep deluding myself into thinking if I try hard enough, I can do it. I don't know how many times I need to be proven wrong to finally rid myself of the last vestige of irrational hope I have for my life chances. This has already happened to me so many times, and still, I allow people to goad me into thinking I can do it.
"Oh don't worry, you know more than you think!"
"Everything will be okay"
"Grades don't make the person"
It's all bullshit.
I could write more but I am fucking exhausted.

2023.05.31 13:17 Academic_Frosting942 Problem with therapy

It would have helped if therapists opened my eyes to the abusive dynamics in my life, but this rarely happened. I grew up in a toxic family system, and despite my frustrations I expressed in therapy, they did not hear my story and advocate for me. I was treated like why am I still bothered by this, while not knowing why I still felt so depressed/anxious/stressed.
CBT asked me if it was really abuse or was I choosing to see it that way. I tried on many different pairs of rose-colored lenses, and while that may have temporarily lifted my rage at being mistreated, it was replaced with GUILT. I still felt bad, but now I questioned if it was my fault for making an abusive persons life more difficult. This is victim blaming 101. I did not deserve to be treated as such, it was wrong. I had every right to feel rageful anger at being mistreated.
Trauma-informed therapy told me to experience the emotions of being traumatized. Um, okay. I did that and by feeling my emotions somatically, it just reminded me of how I originally felt, that the abuse was wrong, and there was nothing wrong with me. That’s ironically the exact validation I was seeking from therapy. I shared my issues to therapists because my entire family system invalidated and gaslit me, so I sought this form of external help. I got reinforcement over the truth of what I experienced in the past, but telling myself that “life is safe now” did not work because it’s simply not true. Abusive people are out there, that’s reality. I asked for help with what should I do if I encounter people like that all over again, and I was halted because “that’s not happening right now.” But it was and it did. I needed more than to just process the injustices of the past. I wanted to defend myself and stop being abused in the future. And to not feel bad about that.
Turns out that’s called BOUNDARIES and stuff like that. But my trauma-informed therapist only had me treat my emotions. Anytime I felt anything strongly, like being really irritated or angry at some unfairness, I was told I was being “reactivated” and going into a cptsd response, and I was supposed to try and re-regulate to avoid 4F acting out. Well, I sorta believe differently now: My emotions did not cause my trauma, my emotions only alerted me to it. Part of CPTSD is the lack of adequate protection going forward, that’s why you still don’t feel safe. That’s why you try to protect yourself with anxiety and hypervigilance. Thank you!!
So if I was gonna stop living in so much constant fear, what was the next step I needed? Just telling myself the lie that “I am safe here in the present” felt wrong and make me feel like my natural anxiety was a sign that I had failed to heal? “Grounding” myself is not the same as building practical skills to make myself safe. I got this knowledge from other adult survivors who had similar family experiences as me, and I am so grateful that they saw me and heard me. I enforced my boundaries and watched as people amped up their reactions and abuse attempts, but I held fast. I showed myself that no matter how people react around me, I’m not gonna fawn to them, I’m not giving in, I’m not compromising my boundaries all over again. If I have to run then I will, if I have to fight then I’m not going down, and I won’t guilt trip myself when it all blows over. The first time I did this successfully my anxiety reduced nearly completely because I proved to myself that id fight to keep myself safe. To this day I do not do that silly “I’m safe” affirmation, it just does not honor me or my experiences.
I started therapy because I was seeking many answers and I don’t think the therapists felt it was their job to provide that. I mean, I think they could, and so like, WHY DIDNT THEY, it would help a lot of people, I found it so confusing that many TRAINED psychologists just did not tell me that bad stuff that happened to me was wrong. Ive been told instead its not about being right or wrong 🙃. Of all the times I recounted abusive, unfair situations, the few that got resolved were the ones where they admitted “yeah they had absolutely no right to say that to you,” or “that should not have happened.” Instead of the blank stare and then asking me about MY part in that, which I think we get how that becomes damaging.
My issue with therapy was: they are trained to deal with YOU, alone, and your emotions, only. So by that very process, it gets you thinking about how you’re choosing to have a problem with stuff. It doesn’t seem like a very great setup to help someone get educated on and get free of abusive situations. Oh sure I left therapy well aware of how SAD and angry my life made me feel. But what did I have to work with?
Therapy inherently tells you to work on your emotions to fix your problems. I really thought that by feeling less distressed, I’d somehow become less traumatized. But my emotions were there for a reason, abuse was happening all around me. My problem WASN’T how distressed I felt about being abused. I did not need to medicate that away. I didnt need to process away my current reactions to active situations.
I needed education on abuse to make sense of what I had experienced, and therapy did not provide that. I found that on the internet and from other survivors. Then I instantaneously stopped hating myself for the way that someone else was treating me. THIS was why “It wasn’t my fault.” Because it wasn’t. I didn’t need to treat depression, I was depressed because of the people around me treating me like shit.
No one in my life told me that the abuse was wrong. Even when I explained. I was told I misinterpreted things. Or I was told to just leave, I wasn’t affirmed that yeah that is fucked up.
The times in my life I HAVE received affirmation, mostly from friends or peers btw, those times have passed in my psyche. They did not become trauma responses. Because my issue was resolved. I did not have to bring these up in therapy because there was no lasting issue. I experienced a life stressor and I adapted to believe in myself more and I felt defended by my friend group. I think that is resilience. And a therapist could provide that if no one else has, but in my case they often miss this and wonder why you’re still upset over it.

2023.05.31 13:17 nyawwr Catching Feelings at Work

I’ve been having a crush with someone from work. I am an intern (F20) and I’m leaving soon. He’s from the same team (M27), but we don’t work much together because we have different roles.
I think he doesn’t like me because he’s never flirted with me or be direct with me like that. We talk a lot, we chat outside work almost every day, sharing reels together, talking about our days. But that’s probably normal for friends. We used to wait for each other and go home from work together, which was how we got close. Sometimes after work, we would call and “work” until like 6-7 (our work is hybrid). But I think that’s because he doesn’t have anything much to do. We also went out couple times when we were in the area at the same time. So I guess spending time with him made my feelings grow, and I kept on letting it grow. And it doesn’t really help that he’s so attentive of me, like he remembers things I’ve mentioned back back, he also notices small things about me, worries about me. But I think that’s just because how he is as a person, nice and attentive. All of this have been going on for the past 4 months.
On the other side, he also does things that makes me think that he doesn’t like me that way. He’s been responding dryly these days and we’re not chatting as often. He’s also mentioned to our friend office group that he’s ready for marriage and stuff.
Honestly, it’s my fault for catching feelings, for letting my feelings grow, for hoping for something that probably is not going to work out. I’m quite sure he doesn’t like me because why won’t he make a move on me then? He probably thinks of me just as a close friend, and so his actions are justifiable. Moreover, we are from different cultures, different religions, huge age gap, so it’s going to be hard anyways.
I want to tell him that I like him… It’s just we’ve gotten really close and I don’t want to lose him as a friend and I’m scared of rejection. What should I do?

Vin Diesel is back for The Flash, the tenth installment in the beloved Fast and the Furious franchise. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new action flick!

The Flash, the 10th chapter of the Fast and Furious franchise, has finally arrived – so, here’s how to watch it, and if and when it’ll be available on streaming. In our review, we wrote: “The Flash won’t welcome any new apostles to the familia’s way of cinema; this is a hysterical, NOS-fuelled ode to big-screen ridiculousness that’s beyond parody.”

The Flash is out now, and fans of the Fast and Furious franchise are keen to see how things are going to play out for the story. The tenth chapter in the Fast and Furious film series continues the story of Dominic Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) as his family are – once again! – under threat. This time, though, a brand new villain is fighting against Toretto: Aquaman star Jason Momoa. The American star plays Dante Reyes, a scorned gang member who blames Toretto for his history of pain.

More than two decades after we were introduced to Dom (Vin Diesel) and his street-racing family, we’ve arrived at The Flash. The fallout of the crew’s carnage across the globe is finally catching up to them, and Dante (Jason Momoa), the son of the drug lord killed in Fast Five, wants to tear them apart and make them all suffer.

Having overcome numerous missions, Dominic (Diesel) must protect his family from Cipher (Charlize Theron) and Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), who’s seeking revenge for his drug lord father’s death. So where can you watch The Flash? Is it on HBO Max? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

When Does The Flash Release?
The Flash, which hits theaters on June 16, 2023, will bring that feeling back once again for the tenth time. The film zooms into theaters—which is the only place you can see the film for the foreseeable future—on Friday June 16, 2023.

The Flash will finally zoom to the big screen on Friday, May 19. The release comes after a series of delays, which first began after the movie was slated to release over two years ago in April 2021. Its next release was scheduled for April 7 of this year. It was shifted once more to its current release, likely to capitalize on the approaching Memorial Day weekend. The Flash will join a theatrical lineup that includes Book Club: The Next Chapter, Fool’s Paradise, and the forthcoming live-action The Little Mermaid.

How to Watch The Flash in Movie Theaters
The only way to watch The Flash immediately when it premieres on June 16 (with some early Thursday screenings on June 16) is to head to a movie theater. The action movie is playing exclusively on the big screen around the world.

To find out where and when The Flash is playing near you, check out the website of your favorite local theater, the movie’s website(opens in new tab) or Fandango(opens in new tab), which provides all of the places and times that The Flash (and other movies) are playing in your entire area. The Flash 2023 Streaming Date
There’s been no official announcement regarding The Flash’s streaming release. However, given it’s a Universal Pictures film, The Flash will eventually be released on Starz, the Roku Channel, and Peacock rather than Netflix, HBO Max, or Disney+.

Universal Pictures has signed multiple streaming deals over the past couple of years that see the company’s movies stream first on Starz, then the Roku Channel, Peacock, then HBO Max. Given this multi-tiered approach, we can’t provide a solid estimate on when you can expect The Flash to hit streaming services. We’ll update this article with the latest information as it becomes available.

The long-running “The Flash” franchise comes to an end with the first part of the finale “The Flash” releasing June 16th. Beginning all the way back in 2001 the series follows the high-octane antics of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew, and has since become a staple of action cinema lovers everywhere.

With the latest installment “The Flash” quickly racing onto the big screen this summer we’ve rounded up where you catch up on the crew’s past exploits on streaming (they’re also available to own outright from most digital retailers).

2023.05.31 13:16 nokman25 i asked AI to write about a story about a minimum wage breadwinner who availed the assisted suicide program

kakabayad ko lang ng bills kanina, ubos na agad yung sahod ko. sa sobrang kakaisip ko may pumasok sa isip ko na ganitong scenario
sorry for the bad english in the prompt. gumagaling na writer si chatGPT
AI prompt: create a very sad tearjerking story with 5 chapters about a 35 year old male, a minimum wage earner who chose to avail the assisted suicide pod program he was burden of all financial responsibilities in life and supports his old retired parents and their needs. in the final chapter he was bawling in tears as he enters the pod, contemplating that this was his only chance to have a bit of rest for his mind and body. on the final scene, as the suicide pod takes the life out of his body, he hallucinates about his life with a slightly better living conditions. abot how his life could have been if he had better life
Chapter 1: The Struggle John works as a cashier at a convenience store. He barely makes enough money to pay for his rent, food, and utilities. He also has to support his elderly parents who are retired and have no savings or pension. His father suffers from diabetes and needs regular medication and check-ups. His mother has arthritis and can barely walk. John has no siblings or relatives who can help him. He has no friends or hobbies either. He spends all his time working, sleeping, or taking care of his parents. He feels trapped in a cycle of misery and despair.
Chapter 2: The Decision One day, John sees an advertisement for a new service called the assisted suicide pod program. It is a voluntary euthanasia service that allows people to end their lives peacefully and painlessly in a comfortable pod. The program offers a free consultation, a farewell video message, and a cremation service. The program also promises to donate the organs of the deceased to people who need them. John is intrigued by the idea of ending his suffering and helping others at the same time. He decides to call the number on the ad and make an appointment.
Chapter 3: The Consultation John meets with a counselor from the assisted suicide pod program. The counselor asks him about his reasons for wanting to die, his medical history, and his mental state. John tells him everything about his life and how he feels hopeless and exhausted. The counselor listens sympathetically and explains the process of the program. He tells John that he has to sign a consent form, undergo a psychological evaluation, and wait for 48 hours before he can enter the pod. He also tells John that he can change his mind at any time before entering the pod. John agrees to everything and signs the form.
Chapter 4: The Farewell John spends his last two days with his parents. He tries to act normal and cheerful, but he can’t hide his sadness and guilt. He knows that his parents will be devastated by his death, but he also knows that they will be better off without him. He hopes that they will receive some financial assistance from the government or a charity after he is gone. He also hopes that his organs will save someone’s life or improve their quality of life. He records a video message for his parents, telling them that he loves them and that he is sorry for everything. He also writes a note for the pod program, thanking them for their service and asking them to donate his body.
Chapter 5: The End John arrives at the pod facility. He is greeted by a friendly staff member who guides him to his pod. The pod is a sleek white capsule with a glass window and a control panel. John enters the pod and lies down on a soft bed. He sees a camera and a speaker above him. He hears the voice of the counselor who tells him that he can start the process whenever he is ready. John looks at the window and sees a beautiful view of a lake and a forest. He feels a pang of regret and wonder. He thinks about his life and what it could have been if he had more opportunities, more choices, more happiness. He imagines himself living in a nice house, having a loving wife and children, enjoying his work and hobbies, traveling the world, and growing old with his parents. He cries as he realizes that he will never experience any of that. He reaches for the control panel and presses the button. He hears a soothing voice say “Goodbye, John. Thank you for your donation. You are not alone.” He feels a warm sensation in his veins as a lethal injection flows into his body. He closes his eyes and drifts into unconsciousness. His last thought is “Maybe in another life…”

William Partners With YouTube, Leaving Harry in the Dust
Here’s an article by Daniela Elser that brilliantly sums up how Haz likes to talk about things but Prince William actually gets things done! PW has partnered EarthShot with YouTube.
As an American, I would just like to say that we don’t all make tea in the microwave.
I know we find Daniela annoying at times, but when she’s good, she’s very good.

2023.05.31 13:16 shlowkey It feels like my ex boyfriend 21M ruined my 21F life. How do I become happy again after years of trauma and no more friends?

So pretty much me (F21) and my ex boyfriend (M21) dated for 6 years. I was really popular during high school and we were a well known couple. Because of this relationship I got really depressed, gained weight, started drinking a lot and I lost a lot of friends because of this. He ended up leaving me for my friend (F21) and told everyone I cheated on him which is a lie because he wants to make me look bad because he was really the one who cheated. I’ve never felt this lonely or hated because people think I’m a cheater and I lost so many friends because of this guy. Feeling lost and confused any advice would be appreciated… How do I become happy again

2023.05.31 13:16 forestlov3 Private practice - difficulties entering the therapy room

Hello all! I am a fairly fresh SLP working in a school environment. Recently, I have also started working in private practice as a second part-time job in the late afternoon hours.
In the school work most of the therapy is done in groups. In my own private practice, I work only individually with the kids. I have recently started working with a child of age 4, who has a severe phonological disorder. He also has a lot of difficulties with concentration. I have advised the parents to also seek therapy from a psychologist, but they have not yet took any action. The child has a hard time coming inside the room. The first couple of sessions I was hugging him and letting him in, which seemed to be doing the trick. However, the last time he felt it like he was getting torn off from his mother (who is the one bringing him to therapy) and it resulted in him crying for quite a while before I was able to calm him down. I have always been able to handle the sitution and get his attention with some kind of game or toys. I feel that this way of accepting the child into the room is not optimal and will make things worse in the long term. As of today, the child has come to a total of 7 session and this behavior started occuring from the last couple of them.
Does anyone have any advice/tips on how to better separate the child from the mother in such a case like his, where we have already had a bit of a bad experience? I am thinking whether having the mother come inside the room would make things better, or worse.

2023.05.31 13:16 Exact_Wrangler_2073 tips on how to make my aroma chemicals last longer

I recently bought a bunch of aroma chemicals, both f-tecs and traditional aldehydes etc. I've been doing some research an I have discovered that these things don't necessarily last forever. That some of them are very volatile and prone to oxidization and going rancid.
What can I do to make them last longer? Does anyone have any tips? I have some BHT here. Do I need to add the crystals to every bottle of aroma chemical that I have? Should I dissolve it in something first? It seems to dissolve in oil and alcohol. Should I mix it with an unscented oil and put a couple drops in every bottle? Or do you think alcohol would be best? I hear that you're supposed to dilute aldehydes in alcohol as soon as possible, otherwise they'll go bad quickly. Apparently you're supposed to dilute them to 10%. I have 10 milliliters of every aroma chemical that I have. I can't start putting them into 100 milliliter bottles. Unless it's absolutely necessary. Do you think it's absolutely necessary? The bottles are 15 milliliters. Can I top off the extra 5 milliliters of space with alcohol? Will that help at all?
Any tips whatsoever about oxidization and how to keep my aroma chemicals lasting as long as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2023.05.31 13:16 megaphone369 Stainless steel options for a long-time Moka pot user? Is the Venus the same?

I've lovingly used my Moka pot for over 15 years, but I want to move away from aluminum.
Bialetti doesn't seem to make the Moka pot in stainless steel, which makes me super sad -- I've grown so attached to the feel of its angular design (even if it's harder to clean lol)
I see that Bialetti's Venus seems like the closest thing to a stainless steel Moka pot, so I wanted to ask how people feel about it who may have also made a similar switch.

what should I add to my skincare routine? cleanser and other product recommendations please
hi everyone, new here! i’m f19 and the picture on the right is my skin now, vs my skin in december 2021. i was so depressed and insecure then and i would pack my face with makeup to try and conceal my acne but it only helped so much. i’ve come very far and after a round of accutane my skin has cleared up and i haven’t had literally any problems from july 2022 until the start of this year. it started off with some texture on my forehead which kind of irked me but no actual breakouts. i started getting actual breakouts around february despite my very consistent skincare routine (i used the superfood face wash from youth to the people, aha + bha toner, highest concentration azelaic acid cream on the market and a water based moisturiser) but nothing helped. i made small product changes and still nothing, i kept using the azelaic acid but it didn’t help at all. besides the texture i mostly get painful blind pimples on my forehead which leave marks for a while. there’s something new everyday, without exaggeration. i know it’s not awful but it still stresses me and makes me feel insecure. i just started using zineryt (erythromycin + zinc acetate dehydrate) and epiduo (basically differin but with benzoyl peroxide). for my cleanser i use the cerave SA smoothing cleanser but i feel like i’m using too many actives which might worsen my skin. i’d love some advice on how i could improve my skin care routine and perhaps a gentle acne safe cleanser recommendation. i don’t know what caused my acne and i’m not sure if it’s hormonal or not. i sometimes get blind pimples on my cheeks too but never chin.

2023.05.31 13:15 sillycuzwhynot1998 I think I talked about this before but on a different subreddit I don’t remember but since it’s been traumatizing me for 6 years now and probably for life idk I wanna say it again.

I dropped out of school at 16 never graduated, not only does that bother me but when my graduation happened that hit me like a bomb.
People tell me move on u need to move on and I did move on, what’s moving on? It’s when u stop thinking about it and don’t bring it up anymore and I never think about it nor do I bring it up unless ppl ask me then yes I bring it up but it’s always going to hurt me inside. I also don’t like going to other people’s graduations I mean think about it how can you go to someone’s graduation like a friend or relative if you yourself didn’t get to graduate? When I say this to ppl all they say is it’s ok you’ll do fine you’ll be ok but honestly am I ok yes I’m not depressed or anything but does it bother me of course whenever someone brings up graduation or talks about a graduation I have to automatically leave the room or ignore them cuz I instantly feel this disgusting feeling all over my body makes me want to pass out or throw up. Idk what it is, what really kills me inside is how all my hs bullies got to graduate and go on being happy with their lives but I didn’t. It’s been traumatizing me for 6 years now and probably forever. Some ppl have told me go and get ur ged, I don’t want ged what’s a ged even going to do for me I got better things to worry about.
If your a high school graduate they say congratulations you did it and they be happy for you.
If you’re a high school dropout they say it’s ok don’t worry about it you’ll do good just so they won’t hurt your feelings.
You’ll either get 1 or the other
