As someone who grew up in the MP3 age, owning physical copies of music was never really a big thing for me (though I've bought some ones that are especially favorites on vinyl/CD). When I want to listen to a recording/album that I like, I navigate to it's digital location, whether it was a folder of MP3s on the computer, or scrolling down my Spotify alphabetical list of albums. This seems pretty transitory though, and over time I've either deleted or lost tracks/albums. The other day, I was going down a Scriabin rabbit hole and put on his third piano sonata, and immediately recalled that this had been one of my favorites back in high school 7 years ago. It felt like I had reopened some old memory archives.
I've been thinking, lately, that I'd like to leave a more permanent "record" of things I listen to, maybe like a catalogue of pieces, with small bits of info on them (key, date composed, date published), a recording of the piece I like, a couple notes/thoughts about what I like about the music, maybe have the score printed out for it as well if its a piece I really like. I've envisioned maybe just a notebook to write it down or maybe a binder to include printouts? Am I the only one with this urge to catalogue?

I'm just upset and need to vent, but I am so tired of mens' first thoughts when they see a female being sexual. It makes my stomach turn when they do it to a child.
I saw a video on a different subreddit; A middle school/high school girl, obviously a child, was aggressing another student. She was bullying and hitting him. Eventually, he defended himself. She definitely deserved it. Then, another girl jumps into view and attacks him as well. He holds his own against these two girls until the entire football team decided to "white knight" and intervene.
Way to many of the comments were sexualizing the girl. Things like she must be doing sexual favors for the football team or calling her a "young-whore." There was absolutely nothing sexual in the video! Why do men automatically sexualize women and why is it acceptable for them to do it to children?

Okay so
I (16M) have a crush (16F) and she's in my class. I told her that I like her May 17 by messages, and she said that she likes me too but she doesn't know if she's ready to be in a relationship or not
Then May 23 she sent a message: "Do you still think we have a chance together? I wanted to talk to you irl but I was too afraid of bothering you, so, I wanted to tell you that I think I'm ready to be with you and we could spend our hour together tomorrow?"
(It was an hour when we had no class between 2 classes, so we are in high school but not in class) (idk how you call that in English, in French we say "heure de trou" cause it's like a hole in the schedule)
Anyway
We spent that hour together 24 May and it was great, we got to know each other, etc but we didn't talk about love and we're still not in a relationship
So May 26 I sent a message telling her that I really enjoyed her company (I told her I loved her smile, her eyes, her voice... and she said "ohh it's sooo nice thank you I'm touched!") and I asked her if we could spend more time together as we have only 2 weeks left before summer holidays (that last 2 months, so I really wanna take advantage of the time we have left and tell her face to face that I like her and I want us to have a chance together)
She said ok and yesterday we talked quickly between 2 lessons, nothing special
Then today we spent a hour together again, we talked about a lot of things, I gave her 2 or 3 compliments (like she was talking about a presentation she's done last week and I told her "nah don't worry you were awesome!", she liked it :) ) and it was a really nice moment
So I was planning to tell her but I didn't dare, I'm shy... and I did it anyway.
"I wanted to tell you if... you think we still have a chance together.. trembling voice well, sorry, I mean do you think we still have a chance together?" in a more assured voice
She said: "well... yes? And you?"
"Uhhh yes.. I hope...? Aah I'm sorry I'm not comfortable!"
She said it's ok and we kept talking, she was even more cute after that, but I'm a bit disappointed it didn't go like I wanted
So I think tomorrow I'll have to tell her irl:
"Yesterday I didn't dare, but I wanted to tell you, if you think we can be together (which is also my case) I prefer not to waste time (without wanting to rush things) I think we can take a leap. The 7 days we have left, I want to spend them with you. I want to tell you, face to face this time, that I find you awesome and really cute, and I'd like it to work between us. I love you."
(Even better if I manage to give her a hug or kiss her but I know myself, I don't think I would dare... I almost hugged her today tho)
That's it :) I see it as a success, even though I didn't manage to tell her exactly what I wanted to tell her, but that's for tomorrow

Hi, I want to start by saying I don’t want to sound whiny. I know I am fortunate to be living in a good country and to be generally healthy. I just feel left out.
Since I was 15 I’ve been working since my parents don’t really give me enough money to comfortably live (ex: I could buy food from school now and then but not new clothes, so I ended up wearing things from middle school in high school a lot). I would work Saturdays when all my friends were out, until 11 or 12 at night,but managed to save money so I guess it was good.
At school I always had jealousy because of this. My friends would ask me to come outside but I had to work - they didn’t understand since they were all wealthy. What hurt most however was when they commented on how I dress and my hair for example. I’m naturally pretty I would say, but from the way I dressed I guess I looked meh. They would always make condescending remarks like I look “cute” or one time I was even told it looks like I’m going to a funeral. I just sucked it up and continued to work.
I recently graduated, top of my class and accepted into a top 5 law school world wide. I can’t afford it. My friends are all going to Europe for holiday, I just have to work. I’ve been feeling so lonely and sad lately and feel resentment towards my friends. They all have cars, live in nice houses and get trips without even doing anything. I know it’s not their fault, but I feel so alone… we have our “prom” soon and I bought a dress and none of them liked it. I have no money for a new one whilst their parents buy them theirs. It feels like a slap on the face.
I think the worst part is that they think I’m rich. So I can’t really complain about money without them thinking I’m spoiled. I guess this is kind of a rant. I just don’t know what to do. Is it unsustainable to be friends with them?

This is something that I've allways wanted to point out but I don't know where to start. Take worldnews as an example, many of them are essentially or equally to bots although it is quite clear that they support thiefs and liars and thus support their own demize.
So it appears to me that there is (i.e. must be) in every forum some sort of "enthusiasts" like enablers, perception shifters and opinion enhancers and this goes so far that:
1) there are so many of them that I doubt they are on a pay roll and
2) that they push the narrative to hard to be just someone causally involved and
3) that this is not only limited to politics but also to religion and other aspects of life.
Some of this is obvious and other not. It depends from which standpoint You're watching this but it helps to question the motives on every subject or topic in order to dissect a personal opinion vs. an eerie opinion forging.

• just an example: You have this "ukraine is holy and has no scelletons in their closet" people but it get's murky when Elons Rocket got launched a few weeks ago and everyone was.. too enthusiastic in the commandments. Don't get me wrong, it was just.. I don't know, it was too much and hyped in the sense of.. being hyped up by a promotor on some cheap holyday resort.

Look, nowadays You don't get shut down by a regime but by the people!! This is some progress, however they have managed it.
On a side note: I suppose that You are aware that every uprising movement get's undermined within a whimp of the eye and it may, just imo, make more sense to e wary of the movements that made it instead to the one (for no big reason) un-popular.

Being under Edmund's wing for so long with such an amiable personality; i thought that Fanny will follow him blindly ,but ,she remained solemn on her decisions.
