Zermatt Premium Canvas for outside in summer?
2023.05.31 12:11 OperAmp Zermatt Premium Canvas for outside in summer?
Hello everyone. I have been wearing birkenstock arizonas for the last three summers. However, I am not really a sandal guy, so I tend to wear them only at home or if I am traveling to a beach destination. I use my EVA arizonas to go specifically to the beach but use the cork ones to walk around during the day, visit places and so on. I guess there are a lot of people like me, after all. When I want to visit a city that is not near the sea, I don't wear my birkenstocks but I miss how comfortable they are after a whole day walking. I visited Mexico a couple months ago and I worn my arizonas every single day when visiting Riviera Maya but I kept them at the hotel when visiting Mexico City, even though it was hot anyway.
I bought recently a pair of Birkenstock Zermatt Premium Canvas in blue. They are just as comfortable as I expected (they are yet to be broken in, but I know how this works) and they are not sandals, so I might be more comfortable wearing them on those occasions when I miss the footbed but I don't want to wear sandals. But I don't know if they may be too "warm" for summer. Even though they are canvas on the outside, the inside is covered in suede. I guess it is the same for Bostons, so maybe if you own a pair of these you can help me too.
I still can return them, but I have to make a decision. If I am not going to wear them outside, I find them too expensive to be used only at home (I could replace them with regular zermatts, for instance, or find another pair of slippers).
Styling is another thing. My gf finds them weird, but they have kind of grown on me. They look like a casual shoe even when worn with jeans, a lot less "sandal-y" than a pair of Bostons, for instance. That's why I am thinking about them for those trips I would like to wear my birkenstocks but, at the same time, I don't want or feel appropriate to wear sandals.
Thank you very much!

2023.05.31 11:06 Daemi Considering DIY Latex
I'm considering building my own latex mattress through Arizona Premium Mattress or a similar company. I would probably make it a hybrid - using springs for the base layer rather than all foam, most likely the L&P combi-zone coils. I'm wondering what combination of spring & latex layers other DIY'ers may recommend.
I am 5'9" and about 220lbs. Primarily a back sleeper and occasionally side. I have chronic neck and lower back pain. I'd be moving from an old posturepedic pillowtop that, though labeled as plush, used to provide decent support. I have no idea what the actual firmness rating is though. Over time the comfort layers have broken down and although there's not much visible sag, I now sink rather significantly - though not enough to actually feel the support layer, so I'm basically lying on a super squished hammocking cushion. I certainly need something more supportive than that, but I still like a mildly soft feeling on top - I don't want to sink in too far like with memory foam, but don't want to feel like I'm being lifted or arched upward either...like it's forcing me to conform to the bed rather than the bed conforming to me.
I've seen posts in the past from people who used two or three layers of latex with different firmness ratings. Sometimes a mix of talalay and dunlop or different thicknesses. It looks like right now, APM only has dunlop available in 6", while talalay comes in 6", 3", or 2". With all the possible combinations, I'd like to ask what has actually worked for other people and may work for me. Also, is anything required below the coils to protect the outer cover? Thanks for the help!

2023.05.31 10:17 Sure_Orange5020 Cyclist allegedly discovers dead woman in suitcase in the Arizona desert
| Hello Reddit Fam! Here's a new true crime case I stumbled up that hasn't received as much attention as it should have. While taking her morning ride, a biker stumbled across a grizzly site. In a safe and wealthy neighborhood in Cave Creek, Arizona on a popular hiking trail, rested a suitcase with hair sticking out. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was a bloody body. Police investigated but other than identifying the body as 39-year-old Jennifer Beede, no additional progress has been made. No news articles have been posted since September of 2022. Unfortunately, Jennifer doesn’t have any family so no one is advocating for her and the reward money for tips is only at $2000. Some claim that Jennifer was using drugs and somewhat off the grid in terms of technology, so the police don’t have much to work with. What happened to Jennifer Beede? Who killed her and why dump her body on a popular hiking trail? And why are the people of cave creek not batting an eye? I'd love to hear your thoughts! submitted by Sure_Orange5020 to UnsolvedMysteries [link] [comments] |

2023.05.31 09:36 Sure_Orange5020 The Lost Dutchman's Goldmine - A Hidden Treasure or Legendary Myth?
Hey fellow adventurers!
I recently stumbled upon a fascinating story that has captivated treasure hunters and explorers for decades. It's the legend of the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine, a hidden treasure said to be hidden deep within the Superstition Mountains of Arizona. Intrigued, I did some research and wanted to share this incredible tale with all of you.
Legend has it that in the 19th century, a German immigrant named Jacob Waltz, also known as the "Dutchman," discovered a rich gold vein in the rugged mountains of Arizona. He kept the location of this treasure a closely guarded secret until his death in 1891. Ever since then, countless individuals have embarked on perilous expeditions in pursuit of the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine.
What makes this story so captivating is the aura of mystery surrounding it. The treasure's exact location has remained elusive, with only vague clues and legends passed down through generations. Many who ventured into the Superstition Mountains have encountered tragic fates, disappearing without a trace. Some attribute these misfortunes to a supposed curse protecting the goldmine.
Over the years, numerous treasure hunters, explorers, and even amateur enthusiasts have tried to unravel the mystery and claim the fabled wealth. They have meticulously studied maps, deciphered cryptic clues, and scoured the treacherous terrain, hoping to uncover the lost treasure trove. However, the majority of these adventurers have returned empty-handed, leaving the existence of the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine shrouded in even more intrigue.
While some skeptics argue that the entire story is nothing more than a legendary myth, others firmly believe that the goldmine exists, awaiting its rightful discoverer. The allure of unimaginable riches continues to draw seekers from all walks of life, driven by the thrill of the hunt and the romanticism of a treasure awaiting discovery.
So, dear Redditors, what are your thoughts on the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine? Do you think it's a genuine hidden treasure, or just an elaborate tale passed down through generations? Have any of you embarked on a personal quest to find it, or do you know someone who has? Share your stories, theories, and experiences in the comments below!
Let's dive into this enigmatic legend together and see if we can uncover any new leads or perspectives on the lost Dutchman's Goldmine. Who knows? Maybe one of us will be the lucky one to solve this century-old mystery and reveal the secrets hidden within those rugged Arizona mountains.
Happy treasure hunting, fellow adventurers!

2023.05.31 09:22 True-Advantage3251 Choosing Between ASU (Major in CS) and UofT (Double Major in CS and Biochem) for Pre-Med Route - Need Advice!
Hi everyone (TL;DR is at the bottom, but I would appreciate it if you read this post)
For context, I'm Canadian. I’m also an incoming undergraduate and planning on taking a pre-med track in college. I've been fortunate enough to have been accepted into Arizona State University (ASU) for Computer Science (CS), and University of Toronto (UofT) for CS and I can double major in Biochemistry.
There's a bit of a dilemma here:
At ASU, I could take my pre-med prerequisites as electives or pursue a second major. The school is reputed to have a relatively easy-going academic environment which may help in maintaining a high GPA - crucial for med school applications. Also, it seems there might be an advantage when applying to US med schools as a US undergrad. I've received a substantial scholarship compared to the other U.S schools I got in to, which eases the cost burden.
On the other hand, UofT offers more prestige and the advantage of being in my home country. The tuition fees are considerably lower since I'm Canadian and I have family there - I might even have a house available. The problem is, UofT is known as a 'GPA killer', and I worry that might harm my chances when applying to med school.
As far as I'm aware, med school applications in Canada consider degrees from both the US and Canada equally, so that's not a deciding factor.
I'm torn between these two options and would appreciate any advice, insights, or experiences that you all can share. Do the benefits of a prestigious school outweigh the potential GPA drop? Would attending a US school provide significant advantages when applying to US med schools?
Thanks in advance for your help!
TL;DR: Accepted at ASU for CS and UofT for CS where I could double major in Biochem for a pre-med track. ASU is easier for high GPA, has a substantial scholarship, and possibly gives an edge for US med schools. UofT is prestigious, cheaper, but known as a GPA killer. I’m Canadian. Need advice on which option would be the best.

2023.05.31 09:15 Not_James_Delrio Tbe Tic-Tac & the SR71
Let me preface my next statement by saying I do absolutely believe aliens exist.
That said, On 24 July 1964, the President announced the existence of the SR-71. The first one entered service in 1966. Members of the general public didnt catch their first glimpse of the D-21B until December 1976 on a tour of the storage area at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona. Information about the vehicles was not released until 1982.
This is why I believe everything we see so far is human made. I believe if aliens show up, it will be a much bigger and obvious event.
The military is 20-ish years away from current public tech. Thats huge. Think 20 or even 10 years ago.

2023.05.31 08:20 RanchoReddit Which game/s next for fan of Fallout/RDR2 and LOU/GOW…advice sought?!?!
Sorry for the long post here
TL:DR - I’m trying to decide which games to play through next and maybe also in what order you’d recommend. Scroll👇 to skip the backstory.
After a decade away from gaming I dove back in deep in 2017 on PS4 with 400+ hours of Fallout 4 (absolutely loved this), followed by long play throughs of The Last of Us (amazing), then RDR2 (just epic, loved it, again over 400hrs), then GOW (wow). My then girlfriend was surprisingly and genuinely into watching me play through those and always got invested in the stories and characters (she was definitely a keeper). The games above took me appx 4 years and up to a switch onto PS5 in Dec 2021 (the now wifey Xmas gift 🤩).
Once on PS5, I started with GT7 (300+ hrs, then LOU2, then A Plague Tale: Innocence, then finally an absolutely epic GMGOW play through of GOWR.
I have loved every minute experiencing all of the games above and have enjoyed switching back and forth between big open worlds like Fallout/RDR2 and more linear story driven games like LOU/GOW.
I like to play through these on either max or 2nd to max difficulty to balance a really tough test with earning my way though the story.
Ok, that was a lot of background! Would love some thoughts on where to go next and in which order from the following games I have purchased over the past year and essentially “queued”
👇 ?? Which ones to play next ??👇
1 - Days Gone : I loved LOU and am excited by the prospect of a more expansive version of the post apocalyptic / zombie genre.
2 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt : This looks awesome, I have the PS5 version with all DLC content so it looks like a big RDR2 type epic
3 - Assassins Creed Valhalla : This also looks great and a very large open world similar to Witcher and my previous OWs like Fallout/RDR2
4 - Skyrim AE : I’m seeing 500-1000 hours of my life flashing by getting completely immersed in this! I am anticipating this potentially being the G.O.A.T from my collection.
5 - Horizon Zero Dawn : Picked this up real cheap after seeing positive reviews. I see it has Forbidden West as a follow up in the series. Not 100% convinced on this one just yet.
Potential (not yet purchased).
6 - Ghost of Tsushima : A colleague of mine today was raving about this game and described it a Japanese samurai version of RDR2
Ok, if you made it this far,THANK YOU!
Any and all recommendations welcome on which to play through and in what order. Wifey will be watching so she also appreciates the recommendations.
Cheers 🙌

2023.05.31 07:27 mike12-37 Contractors license and business license question in AZ
Please direct me if this has been posted before. For the past six months, I’ve gone into business for myself. I mainly do small furniture and built-ins and lately Accent Walls. Lately business has been pretty good and I want to expand on accent walls, so I’m looking to form a proper business and get my business license just so everything is good to go with the IRS. I live in Arizona and based on my research, I found that any home improvement under $1000 doesn’t require a contractors license. My average price is around there so I’m wondering if I will need a contractors license in order to form my business?
