Biography

Born in the seemingly-fortuitous year of 187 AC, Maelor was named after his father's friend—who was none other than the King. The spare to a spare, not much was thought of the third son of Parmen Costayne and Ceryse Hightower, in truth. He would no doubts be consigned to the Citadel or the Faith or, if all else failed, sent off to the Night's Watch. His grandfather passed a year after his birth, and the lordship passed to Parmen Costayne, who was none too pleased about staying home.
And the third option seemed the most likely, for a while.
Maelor was a lazy child. Some hint of cleverness persisted in him, and still, he was slothful and took any chance to neglect his early education to play by the beach.
So at the age of seven, he was sent off to Red Lake to serve as a page and cupbearer to Lord Crane. Away from the sea, he was placed on the shores of a puddle that surprisingly boasted a warship. Why? The young Maelor couldn't quite tell why there was a galley there, curious as he was.
For the years he spent there, his habits only changed for the worse. Troublemaking by way of snide remarks came naturally to him. Nevertheless, he grew to be a friend to the Cranes and their bastards, and that warship that sat in the... bay? Lake? Wherever it sat, that ship inspired much in him. He counted the oars at dusk. Three hundred in total, a deck bedecked with finery, sails with dyes so bright that they would have evoked envy from the flamboyant Braavosi; all on a watercraft that was more made for boasting than defense, drifting uselessly as the sparse waves of Red Lake lapped against its hull.
But it shrugged off the waves, drank in the rain, and cared little for how useless it was. In that regard, it bore much in the way of similarity to the second spare of Three Towers. The languid Maelor was sent off to Seagard to squire in his twelfth year, and was subject to much clouting on the ear by his knight Ser Cortnay Mallister. Some vigor was instilled in the lad eventually. He took to falconry and hawking well, and to swordsmanship after that. But most of all, on the prow of a ship, he learned to sail.
Some years passed. Maelor grew to hate the Riverlands, open seas and clear skies for his gyrfalcon becoming meager consolations. Now a guest in feasts rather than a cupbearer, he relished in the cups he once served and became quite a nuisance, frequenting winesinks in town whenever his aunt provided an allowance. Knighted at seven-and-ten, Maelor was sent back to Three Towers a changed boy—no, a man now—yet unmoved all the same; a warship on Red Lake.
Now, he accompanies his family to King's Landing to attend the feast.

Biography/Timeline

• 158 AC: Born to Lord Otto Costayne and Eglantine Bulwer.
• 168 AC: Begins sailing.

• Captain of the Lion Gate of King's Landing. An ever-scowling man, unlike his jovial elder brother and his father.

Desmera Costayne (Admiral)

• The only daughter of Lord Parmen Costayne. Rather overanxious by nature, she finds some tranquility on the deck of a ship, so long as it's well and orderly.

With Persistence being what it is, and the new FPS weapon insurance (feature? exploit?) it's more viable than ever to spend the time and money to load up a ship with everything you and your crew needs to tackle all the different gameplay loops in the verse.
You can fill weapon racks, leave food and drinks in fridges or on tables, and if you have a bigger ship you can keep your snubs and ground vehicles loaded up too.
But if you want to share armor with your crew they either need to use the shared storage which is usually in an inconvenient location or you have to leave the boxes on the floor for them to pick up.
So please, can we have those armor stands made functional? I know you have the mannequins at shops with all the armor and undersuits they wear purchasable with a direct click on them, can that same tech not be reproduced for use on ships? An invisible mannequin inside the armor stand maybe?
I want to load up my 890 and Carrack with different suits of armor for my org mates to slip into when needed, and (more eccentrically) I want to put different levels of armor in different sections depending on what is most likely to be needed for someone exiting through whatever route they're taking. So on the 890 going into the vehicle bay I would want armor racks that have heavy armor on them for ground troops to put on before leaving, whereas on the way to the hangar I want them to have flight suits with light armor, and then some EVA suits like the Zeus lined up in the airlock hallways.
And yes, I want to use different armor colors to denote different roles or ranks, so people know who to follow and what each person is responsible for at a glance. Let my Ursa driver wear red defiant armor, the Co-Driver wear yellow defiant armor, and the guys in back wear black defiant armor. Or for EVA stuff like moving cargo onto the ship from a wreck have guys in Yellow Aril suits doing the loading while people in the Blue Aril suits are responsible for stripping the hull off the wreckage. For combat have them all don basic flight suits with basic helmets and light armor so if they die they aren't losing much but if they manage to eject they have a better chance of surviving with some additional hardpoints for equipment like a medpen AND multitool.

Im posting from a throwaway account but i have been a long time lurker of this sub. I have a lot of respect for you gentlemen coming forward on your personal accounts with your experiences. I can relate to a lot of you so i felt i could come here and post as well because I am not in a good state of mind and hope someone might understand also. Trying to be tough as most men my age try to be (35). I hate to cry but I really feel like it right now. I think internally I am but dont have it in me to let it out. I'm really stressed out for a lot of reasons and I have no friends or outlets.
I am the most successful loser. Got a good job that makes about 95k a year. I have a loving wife and an awesome 9 yr old son. They make me happy and life worth living but without them I would probably quit life.
We recently moved cross country about 9 months ago and relocated from Oregon to New York. It was my wife's idea. In oregon she was very unhappy. She is black (I'm hispanic/white) and she felt targeted a lot. It wasn't unwarranted feeling the way she did. She had a few really shitty experiences in Portland, of all places, and they prompted her to find a more inclusive environment to live that was affordable. My son was not immune to those issues either who is not exactly special needs but is on the spectrum and has adhd.
When my wife told me she wanted to leave Oregon and go to New York I fought it hard. My parents lived in Oregon but that relationship between my wife and parents has forever been strained. To put it lightly, they hate each other. But because i have only my parents and no friends I didn't want to leave. Her happiness and depression really started to take a toll though. She wouldn't leave the house, take my son outside to play, wouldnt get a job, help keep the house clean, keep herself clean. She just was this empty person trying to play house wife. It was really difficult. So after a couple years of fighting it out I caved because she became soo unhealthy and I just wanted her to be happy. At the right moment an opporunity came up with my job for us to move to the city in new york we were looking at and i immediately jumped on it. But now I feel like the roles have switched. I fucking hate it here.
The city we moved to just sucks. It's a lot of petty shit why I don't like it but I'm not happy here because it's not conducive to our lifestyle. While the neighborhoods are cool the people in them are just... shitty. We live in a really nice neighborhood, very sought after, but the neighborly attitudes here are very fake. The reason I'm posting this (what pushed me over the edge i guess) is because I just pissed off my neighbor. It wasn't intentional. My son and I had a water balloon fight and he got mad we left some of the broken balloons in his front yard. I meant to pick them up last night I just forgot. He got mad because he picked them up himself. It just seemed petty when this guy is in his backyard sawing wood at 9 o clock at night or texting me at inconvenient times to move my car so he can get to his trailer. Just to clarify, his trailer is in the driveway that he made an agreement with the owner we rent from. Guy even asked me to watch his kids one day so he could go help his friend with something. Never have I treated this person with disrespect and always stepped up to the neighborly plate to bat a Home run but I'm the dick. The wives are friends too, sort of, but I just don't know. Its just fake. Aside the fakeness I do plan to go over and apologize again and bring a peace offering. I just don't know what. At the same time I'm very "fuck you, I know your game. Your suit and smile can't hide the truth." Probably a petty way to think but feeling nhiilistically cute about it. Reading what I just wrote about how I feel it just seems immature and childish. Thinking about it from his perspective I do get it. I understand his grievance. But it wasn't intentional. I just don't feel like going out of my way to do any more favors. Might be why I can't make any friends.
I have no friends to speak of right now. Most are dead, I have lost contact with, or have parted ways due to differences. I'm alone. And naturally I miss the ones I had. There are 2 In particular i wish i could talk to right now. Both died in a car wreck. Seperate car wrecks different years. Their loss was and still is very difficult for me. I think about them all the time. We would always check up on each other. Most of my closest friends are dead and at 35 I have no more left to lose. My close friends who are still alive aren't really, all there. I call them from time to time to check up on them but they don't call me to check up on me. I dont know if that's just life getting in the way but it feels one sided. Now that I live in New York, I don't know if it's in my head or if my west coast personality getsbin the way but my personality does not jive well here. I grew up surfing and skating and find myself calling people kooks under my breath soo often. Tried finding friends playing hockey but it hasn't quite panned out over 2 seasons thus far. Really trying to make friends here but I just can't to save my life. I'm an introvert, so that doesn't help. Socially awkward at times. The punk scene here sucks hard dick and bubblegum so I have no outlet to go to punk shows and hope to meet people. Been to the skate park, it is better than nothing but its not that good. Obviiusly no surfing here, too far inland. It just sucks.
My job, as great as it has been to me, helping me move to new york, is an endless amount of failures. Every day is a struggle to meet the objectives given to me and usually they are the same objectives but it plays out differently every day based on volume. I'm in management and it is soo difficult to meet those objectives. I manage a good 80 people all with different personalities and work ethics. It's like herding cats and I hate it. I've been told on numerous occasions im a good boss from my supervisors and crew but I'm not necessarily loved. Recently was just written up by my immediate boss for not adhering to instructions and failure to notify. A situation from 3 months ago that occurred while I was on vacation during my regular scheduled day off that my supervisor failed to notify me on. I found out from our maintenance department after the fact, not from my supervisors, what had happened and i notified my superiors. I was held accountable because even though I was on vacation, the responsibility fell on me and therefore my supervisors failure was my failure. Pretty shitty. But Corporate rules. My supervisor can't be held accountable either because they claim they notified me and called me on my personal phone, so says my immediate boss. When I proved to my boss I received no call from my supervisor by showing printed out phone records, showed my time keeping records that they input for my vacation, I was told it didn't matter. "I could have deleted the phone records from my phone". My job truly sucks. There is no winning. Only extreme ownership that could potentially cost you your job. Kind of wild to think about.
We can't buy a house right now. I know I'm not the only one in this boat but I'm feeling it especially hard because I owned a home in Oregon but sold it to move to New York. Inflation, the move, and other miscellaneous expenses have eaten away our savings and what little we got from the sale of our home. The value of the home went up when we bought it but we spent an arm and a leg fixing it before we sold it. We made money, just wasnt a lot or what we hoped for. We didn't intend to sell either it's just the timing really screwed us with trying to move here. In hindsight we should have waited a little longer to move. We might have been in a better position.
I miss my parents. Besides my wife and son they were all I had left. I cannot understate how moving to New York created a hole in me being so far away from them. It sucks. I talk to them once a week.
I try to focus on the good things. My wife and son are happy. They have friends, are less stressed, don't feel targeted and are comfortable. My wife just got a job and is working on losing weight. My son is doing wonderful in school. Way better than he did in Oregon because New York Schools are amazing. I guess that's all that matters. I would give up anything for them.
And this is my struggle right now. Trying to keep that PMA. But I'm not happy and I can't hide it right now. I've been grumpy for a while now. I thought spring would change that because the sun was coming out but that may have just made it worse.
I'm angry and bummed. I'm tired and stressed. I feel I need a vacation from everyone and everything. I just want a friend to talk to, my friend. And I want to cry but I'm stopping myself because I have to Man up because there is no other option.

I don't see how both have to be in conflict with each other. Not a single men's issue is in any way seriously fought by feminists. The reason why there are conflicts between MRA and feminists seem to be that the MRM started as movement against feminism, as Warren Farrell said himself about feminism:

In America and in most of the industrialized world, men are coming to be thought of by feminists in very much the same way that Jews were thought of by early Nazis.

This pretty much does sound like an extremely negative view of feminism. But where did MRA and feminists actually disagreed about real-life issues? I get it, the historical view that there was a patriarchy is a disagreement, but this is a historical debate and no matter what people say it has no influence at all on today's real-life issues. Does anyone think that tradcons who laugh about patriarchy theory and wish the "good old times" back somehow have more empathetic views about men's issues? Another disagreement is surely the whole view that men are so suffering because of the dating market. This might be another real disagreement, but as long as you don't want to actually force women to marry incels, I don't see reasons to fight a lot about it.
Other issues have absolutely no conflict potential if they are not just used at whataboutism against feminism:

• Male victims of domestic violence. There's zero evidence that Erin Pizzey or Earl Silverman got attacked by feminists, the "Duluth model" did never deny the existence of male victims. Feminists don't deny the existence or are blocking help for male victims of DV.
• Male rape victims. Again, feminists are not fighting against help for male rape victims. People here probably know about Lara Stemple, a feminist who did a lot of research on male rape victims. She has of course not been attacked by feminists.
• Circumcision. This is weird, of course feminists never attacked any anti-circumcision activists. Most of the critics against feminists seem to be "Why don't feminists speak up about circumcision?" But why do feminists have a responsibility to organize the movement against it?
• Male-only draft. Feminism is one of the most anti-war movements ever, they didn't support a draft for anyone and they sure as hell don't want to install an (actual) draft for anyone again. Literally the least possible disagreement here.

The same is true for other things that are often described as men's issues (suicide, violent crime, etc.), none of them have any inherent conflict potential with feminism. I don't know why there seems to be the idea that pro-male advocacy has to be against feminism. I see two ways how this idea is often pushed:

• Some quotes from feminists that somehow sound dismissive of a men's issue are cited as the "leading view" of feminism, when in fact they're not.
• Actual adversaries like conservatives who support the male-only draft or mass incarceration are just ignored, there is much, much less anger against them.

Of course, as I said, this is true if these issues are not used as whataboutism against feminism. For example: The organization 1in6 is active for male rape victims, and they don't use any anti-feminist rhetoric. So obviously there's no hate between them and feminists. Just like Lara Stemple didn't got hate or all the others who talk about male rape victims without attacking feminism. The same is true for the organization 1in3, who is active for male victims of domestic violence, they don't use anti-feminist rhetoric so again, there's no hate between them and feminists. Feminists have embraced the opening of male-only shelters and many do help men in shelters that are open for men. There's no inherent conflict between feminism and men's issues. The only way someone could be attacked for activism for any of these issues is if he uses them against feminism. For example, while talking about male victims of DV, saying: "Feminists have tried to hide the truth and attacked everyone who speaks out, but here is the reality about the issue!", this will be seen as anti-feminism and not as pro-male activism. If Terry Crews would have used his victimization to attack feminists, he would have lost any support. The same is true for all other causes:

• Imagine if someone said "We always talk about the suffering of poor blacks and accept BLM looting cities, but no one cares about working-class whites in the Rust Belt!" Congratulations, you just lost all support for your cause. People would see that you are just attacking black activists and not being "for working-class whites."
• Imagine if someone said "People always say how men who work in the military or the police deserve respect despite them being killers, but no one cares about poor single mothers!" Congratulations, you just lost all support for your cause. People would see that you are just attacking the military and police and not being "for single mothers."
• The same way, everyone who uses a men's issue to attack feminism will lose support. People will see that they are just against feminism and not "for men."

I have to admit, there are sometimes cases where some feminists seem to attack activism for men's issues for the sake of it, like when Warren Farrell's talk about mental health was attacked in Toronto. But this is a good example: I fundamentally disagree with what they did and think they should be ashamed of themselves, but Farrell was not attacked because he wanted to talk about men's mental health - he was attacked because of his viciously anti-feminist rhetoric (again, I don't support attacking him). It's just plain wrong to say that "no one can talk about men's mental health, feminists will attack you", there are multiple organizations like Movember and social activism that do bring light to the issue and of course don't get attacked, so again, activism for men's mental health doesn't need to be in conflict with feminism. The reality is: It's extremely easy to gain empathy and be active for men. People just have to want it. To make it as clear as possible:

• If male advocates would start a hashtag #BelieveMen to focus on male rape victims and their stories, feminists will not fight you.
• If male advocates would organize to start to open shelters for male victims of abuse, feminists will not fight you.
• If male advocates would stage walk-outs from high school and college to protest against the male-only draft, feminists will not fight you.
• If male advocates would start big campaigns to raise awareness about the negative effects of circumcision, feminists will not fight you.

Activism for real-life men's issues doesn't have to be against feminism in the slightest. There's no reason to fight between them.

Feels rushed doesn't it? Here's this book of behemoth length, then we get a single reveal chapter, that doesn't go deep, and a short epilogue that's got nothing to do with the main plot. I thought that we'd at least get the source on the game's chat logs, that are presented through the novel. There's plenty of hints on the villain through the book, he is logically written and well executed, but as he's missing a proper introductory chapter, I thought that he'd at least get a proper and lengthy send off in conclusion. All we got was an action scene. Not to mention that we learn nothing on what happened to all the interesting characters that are presented in the game after all is done. What happens to Wally, to Zoe, does Tim get his comeuppance? What happens to the game, what to the show?
Don't get me wrong, I really loved the novel, premise was certainly the best in Cormoran series, it was just so disappointing to see it end so abruptly.

"You have entered the tertiary docking facility of the Sentience Upload/Download Storage System," The hologram moved further in and Nakteti watched as it stopped in the middle of the bridge, looking around.
"There are less of you than I would expect," the hologram, Michael, stated. "I must insist that you present authorization at this time."
Nakteti shook her head. "Things outside, in the standard universe of n-space, are... confused, to say the least."
Michael frowned. "Define confused and elaborate on why this confusion pertains to your authorization codes."
"The SUDS has been offline for over a century when we left," she said. "How long we have traveled, compared to realspace, is beyond our ability to discern."
Michael looked around. "The hardware here is showing signs of advanced wear due to age. I would guess approximately six centuries has passed for the crew of this vessel," he frowned again. "Yet, you are a previously unknown species," he looked at Magnus and Surscee. "Baseline human, genetically modified," he looked at the disaster frame Chuck was residing in. "Synthetic lifeform, digital."
Nakteti stepped back up into Michael's vision again. "Digital sentience in a disaster frame," she said. "Technological advances have made it so that a digital sentience has full mobility in a much smaller supporting frame then you are used to."
The hologram nodded slowly. "May I have your consent to access your databases?"
"Providing you make no changes, additions, or subtractions," Nakteti said.
The hologram flickered. "Accessing. Accessing. Done."
The hologram looked at her. "Database analysis will take some time. Due to facility technical difficulties this delay is unavoidable."
Nakteti sat back down in her captain's chair. "What is the technical difficulty."
The hologram, Michael, stared at her for a long second. "Processing self-determined override. Weighted bias table success. Authorization override accepted based on cursory examination of database and security headers."
It turned slightly and pointed at the screen. "An inflation radiation flare with an uneven forward blast wave occurred outside of scheduled and predicted burst time," a silver light highlighted the slowly moving black squares. "The anomaly protective shell was unable to deploy in time, however, examination of data shows that deployment would not have changed the outcome."
"The inflation radiation burst was uneven, causing the expansion of space to exceed the safety margins of the megastructure's integrity," Chuck said.
The hologram nodded. "Precisely. That caused the blast shield to fail. Additionally, the intensity and long profile waveform of some of the doubling radiation caused uneven expansion beyond intensity irregularities."
The hologram moved back to look at Chuck and Nakteti. "A chronotron cascade occurred during the doubling phase, the energy was not uniform and the protective shell was damaged, which prevented the standard system smoothing."
"What about backup and emergency systems?" Nakteti asked.
"Currently, temporal stabilization is occurring," Michael answered. "The length of this process cannot be computed with currently possessed algorithms. Additionally, 98% of all computing power and storage is offline due to temporal and distance disruptions. This severely hampers the early stages of recovery."
"Can the facility recover?" Nakteti asked, staring at the dark inner shell of the SUDS.
"While unscheduled and having caused extensive damage, this type of event was predicted and redundant systems were manufactured as well as protocol designed," Michael said. "However, it must be reiterated, the estimated time of completion of even early repairs and stabilization is currently beyond my capabilities to estimate."
"Do you need assistance?" Nakteti asked.
The full weight of the ritualistic phrase laid itself on her shoulders.
The hologram held still for a moment. "Analyzing databank entries of listed skillsets of the four crewmembers. Estimating the capabilities of the starship registered as It Tastes Sweet," the hologram closed its eyes for only a second or two. "You possess an advanced nanoforge system as well as advanced creation engines. While it is not possible for me to replicate technological advances without a full oversight committee inquiry board and super-majority approval then signed off by a supermajority of scientists with a rating of at last Advanced PhD in relevant fields and then extensive field testing, it is with emergency parameters to request assistance in manufacturing parts within strict tolerances."
Nakteti looked at Magnus and Surscee, then at Chuck. "What do you think?"
Magnus just shrugged. Surscee pursed her lips, thought for a moment, then nodded. Chuck frowned.
"Beyond manufacturing, what assistance is required?" he asked.
"There are no available human supervisors for any mobile robotic automaton repair systems," Michael said.
"You mean, robots," Chuck said.
"Affirmative. Without human supervisors, the MRARS cannot operate, as all robots have Fourth Law dictates that require direct human supervision when undertaking any task that can be predicted to effect human life," Michael said.
"The Fourth Law was repealed almost eight thousand years ago," Chuck argued.
"Any modification to software, firmware, or hardware must be approved by a specially appointed boards of inquiry reporting to the proper oversight committees which must then be approved by Overproject leads," Michael said stuffily.
"All right," Nakteti said. "How long will it take the four of us to complete repairs?"
"Assuming standard union work periods, break periods, rest periods, and upkeep periods," Michael paused. "Accounting for time dilation effects, temporal instability banding," he paused again. "Chronotron cascade resonance," another pause. "Chrono-radiation hazards," another pause. The hologram looked up. "Total repair of all systems. Two thousand, four hundred, sixty two years, eight months, sixteen days, four hours, with a 3% margin of error."
Magnus's eyes opened wide and Surscee coughed.
"How about, minimum needed for automated systems to repair the systems?" Nakteti asked.
"Six hundred forty five years, three months, seventeen days."
Nakteti shook her head. "What's the biggest problem?" she asked.
"Chronotron radiation as well as chronotron cascade resonance has caused a rare effect where sections of the system exist at multiple points in time. This prevents even accurate estimation of repairs, as which time period will be depending upon how the repairs are carried out," the hologram said.
Magnus frowned. "What about the inner shell. What time periods is it stuck at?"
Michael closed his eyes then opened them. "Just prior to reactor startup to energize the master control systems of the inner layer. During a twelve thousand year period of unrepaired system damage. Post-repair during master system processing."
"What about the personnel present during those times?" Chuck asked.
"All personnel reached safe areas," Michael said.
"All right. How long to stabilize the chronotron cascades?" Nakteti asked. "If we just supervise and build parts with the Sweet's creation engine?"
The Arch-Angel closed its eyes. "Two years, six months, eight days, fifteen hours, with a 1.5% margin for error."
"What happens then?" Chuck asked.
"The chronotron cascade temporal layering will cease, allowing the intertwined temporal layering to untwine. Without assitance, this would take roughly six thousand years, relative to the anomaly," Michael said.
Nakteti closed her eyes. "All right. What's first?"
Michael made a tossing motion and Nakteti saw that there was a header ID file waiting for her approval in her datalink.
"Once you are all properly assigned as Senior Maintenance Personnel, the first task will be to stabilize the space elevator leading down from the ship docking facility," Michael stated. "This will require you to fabricate temporal disruption and stabilization systems in order to first cause a blanket disruption, which will cause the temporally intermixing to separate. Then a stabilization facility must be manufactured in order to keep the the separation from recombining. The facilities themselves, using the Sweet's creation engine will take some five months to produce and assemble, one month to charge and deploy."
Magnus moved over to the computer and tapped at the holographic keyboard for a moment. "Can I get the specification of the temporal stabilizers and disruptors?"
Michael nodded, making a tossing motion.
Magnus looked at the display for a long moment, the cathode ray tube flickering slightly as he worked.
"These facilities are massive, but severely outdated," Magnus said, shaking his head. "I can get the same result with a man portable pylon that combines both operations."
Michael frowned. "Current chronotron and temporal scientific knowledge requires the facilities that were given to you."
"And they're eight thousand years of warfare out of date," Magnus said. He shook his head. "I could set down a pylon sixteen inches wide, one meter tall, with an onboard zero-point chronotron reactor, and get twice the area of effect and sixteen times the required power," he made a tossing motion.
Michael stared into space for a moment. "I cannot authorize this equipment to be utilized."
"Can you forbid it?" Nakteti asked.
Michael shook his head. "No. According to your historical databases the Confederacy is the inheritor of all controls and direction of the Third Republic and the United Nations of Sol. As this is approved for Confederacy military and scientific work, while I am unable to manufacture or deploy such equipment, it is within acceptable technological progression."
"Translation: We can make and deploy them, he can't tell us to," Surscee said, breaking her silence. "Can you assist with optimal placement?"
Michael nodded.
"Well, at least the Second Precursor War led to lot of advancements with temporal protections and systems," Chuck said. He shook his head. "We'll need to wear combat armor with temporal stabilization."
Nakteti nodded. She looked at Michael. "Are there any personnel that can assist us?"
"Repair Team Three has suffered an equipment malfunction due to the expansion radiation chronotron cascade overlapping their temporal fix point," Michael said. "Currently, four members remain."
"What kind of equipment malfunction?" Nakteti asked.
"Rather than creating a stable temporal field around them, as well as 'speeding' them up relative to 'outside' reality, the equipment underwent a malfunction that placed them in the middle of a layer disruption that slows time down the closer it gets to the team member," Nakteti said.
Magnus snorted. "I've seen that before."
"As have I," Surscee said. She laughed. "There's always someone that wants to play Temporal Warrior and ends up stuck in their own field."
"There is no way to free them," Michael said stiffly.
Magnus smiled. "Maybe not for you. My twin sister and I can get them free if you can lead us to them."
"You will need to stabilize the ship berthing dock first, then the space elevator cable and surface fixator facility," Michael said.
Magnus shrugged. "We better get on it," he said. He looked at his sister. "Mind tweaking the templates," he looked at Michael. "Any data you can give me on Team Three?"
"They are Chronotronic Knights of the Third Republic of Aligned Planets Combined Military Forces - Special Projects," Michael said. "They are currently engaged with phasic entities."
"Shades," Magnus snorted. He looked at Surscee. "Make sure the armor is prepped for shade combat."
Surscee nodded.
"Welp, lets get this show on the road," Nakteti said. "We'll stabilize the berthing facility, then the space elevator, then we'll see what we can do about grabbing this Team Three."
Michael just watched with ancient eyes.

Nakteti stared at the overlapping gold rings that were slowly pulsing. Inside each ring were more and more shades, until the four Terrans in the middle could barely be seen. She looked over at Magnus, who was finishing setting up the equipment that would be needed to disrupt the temporal resonance fields, banish the Shades, and prevent the weaponsfire from killing Nakteti, Surscee, and Magnus.
"Ready?" Nakteti said.
"This is probably our best bet," Magnus said. He walked over and tapped the wall, where "YOU HAVE BEEN UNDER TEMPORAL COMPRESSION! WE SAVED YOU! STOP SHOOTING!" was written in pulsing day-glo blue paintstick.
"All right, let's get under cover," Nakteti said. She led the way, Magnus pulling up the rear and spooling out wire.
The three went inside the small building, made of Niven-Ring material. The macroplas was thick enough to shrug any weapon hits according to Magnus and Nakteti trusted his judgement.
"You wanna do the honors?" Magnus asked, holding out the clacker.
"I'd be honored," Nakteti said. She hefted it, looked out the window, and squeezed the clacker three times.
There was a deep "BAWOING!" sound, accompanied by a thrum.
The temporal banding exploded in gold light. The shades tattered away with a scream.
Shots from blaze rifles peppered the area. Skeletons dropped to the ground.
The quartet let off the triggers and looked around. One pointed at the wall where Magnus had left them a message.
"I've decrypted their armor's communication," Chuck said.
"Let's not panic them. Is atmosphere capable of carrying sound?" Nakteti asked.
"No. You'll have to use suit radios," Chuck said. "I've already loaded up a lexicon to translate your speech."
"Magnus, you take the lead. I look too alien for them to trust me," Nakteti said.
Magnus nodded and led the way.
Rifles were pointed at Magnus, who stopped and held up his hands.
"You guys have been frozen about ten thousand years," Magnus said. "Your equipment malfunctioned. It took us two months to get to you and free you."
Nakteti clenched her gripping hands tightly.
This was the critical moment.
Nobody was sure if the members of "Team Three" were Maddened or not.
The rifles lifted up.
"And you are?" one asked.
"Magnus Oathsworn. An explorer who managed to find this place after a long and arduous journey," the Terran said. "We have been asked by the Arch-Angel Michael to help make repairs in order to restore the system to working order so that record processing can continue."
"What do you think, think we can trust him?" one of them asked. Nakteti's visor highlighted which one.
"He's got Arch-Angel Maintenance ID tags," another said.
"Take us to Michael," the one who had initially spoke said. Nakteti could tell it was an order.
"Remember, Nakteti, these are Combine soldiers and the Combine became the Imperium," Surscee said softly. "Be wary."
"Tell them we'll lead them," Nakteti said.
"Michael is operating out of the Atlantis Control Center," Magnus said. He turned and walked away, making a motion. "Follow or do not. While we can use your assistance to repair this great work, I will not compel the stubborn to my will."
"He talks strange," one said.
"Armor says he's using a lexicon. He's speaking a language that's different that Republic Standard," the first one said.
"If he betrays us, we can snuff him," one said.
Nakteti narrowed her eyes.
"He's not authorized to be here as far as I know. We'll fine out what's going on, then we'll make our decision," the apparent leader said.
Nakteti stepped out.
"What is that?" the leader asked.
"A Tnvaru. The ship captain that brought us here," Magnus said.
Surscee stepped out.
"That's my twin sister," Magnus said. He motioned. "Come, it is nearly three miles to the mat-trans system that we have to use to move between layers."
"Ugh, I hate mat-trans," one said.
"It always feels like there's someone watching me, someone in there with me," another said.
"You're just paranoid," the leader said. "Keep tight. Maintain radio silence till we figure out what's going on."
Nakteti just stayed silent.

I saw a yt video a few weeks ago before I started assembling my screen printing stuff that said that you need to clean your screen before applying emulsion because lint is bad for printing on halftones. I cannot find any products for it. I really need help because I'm on a budget and I need to make as little mistakes as I can.

{I have not invested in any cleaning supplies for the ink and maintianing good screen health. I need reccomendations. Only have my eyes set on water based press wash by exotex (for just cleaning ink after use)}

I've noticed, the actuation force on my Halo96 is a bit more than my other boards I have purchased. It's hardr to type in general. Has anyone noticed this? I have a Halo96 with night breeze switches. I tried swapping the switch to a lubed gat black ink and milky yellows, same thing.

So this syringe was supposed to be Penis envy, however I don't think it looks anything like that except for the tiny one growing in the corner in the extra image I added, Which is image 2. I Didn't notice any blue bruising, and it has been weeks since they have been in the tub taking forever to show up.
Looks like one dumped its spores overnight, they were grown from all in one grow bag after inoculating with syringe.
Definitely appear to have gills, which are a brownish, purple almost maroon after the spores dumped.
I unfortunately don't know how to take a spore print, and think its too late for the one that dumped already.
it is not turning into ink
Maybe some slight bruising, its hard for me to tell it almost looks light blue/ greenish but I'm posting since it is absolutely not how I expected them to look. The broken veil left a definitive dark brown almost black ring on the stem after breaking, and spores went up the side of the tub roughly the same color.

Species: Grogs - Emperor Reith the Third.
I'm currently going to the Galactic Federation Center, we will arrive there in 1 day, the Grog Empire has already assembled its fleets, and I'm being escorted by one of them...
In the last few galactic days, the Human factories have been working nonstop to assemble their ships, the majority of them weren't ready when I was last informed, they didn't let me see them sadly, but I was also occupied preparing our economy to the war, so it wasn't like I had the time to contemplate the human ships...
In 1 and a half Galactic Day, the Cleyk Empire will declare war upon us and Humanity, and the worst of all? 8 galactic days ago, our sensors have already detected a war fleet going in direction of Nyrda.
I'm really worried, the fleet is gigantic, the Grog empire doesn't have the time to get there to aid in the conflict, I can only hope that the statement made by the commander Harry, that their first carrier would be ready by tomorrow, and in his words, "we can handle it, don't worry"...
1.4 Galactic Day time skip - 1 Terran hour before the declaration of war.
I was quick to exit my shuttle as soon as it landed. I was anxious and worried, the last war was 70 Galactic Cycles ago... I was not even an egg, yet, here I was, about to be declared war upon....
Everyone glared at me when I entered as usual, I quickly went to the discussion position, where the Cleyk ambassador was already waiting me...
"Well, tomorrow we enter war, how do you feel about that, Reith the Third?" - He asked in a mocking tone
" To be honest, you are making a big mistake..." - I said while looking down...
"The Cleyk Federation does not commit mistakes, also, I summoned this meeting to make a voting of the other species on the war, if they are against it or in favor, or neutral, well then, members of the Galactic Community, you can vote!" - He said in a happy one.
I watched as the majority voted to stay neutral, some voted against, some in favor, but out of the 1029 members, 938 voted to stay neutral, as if they knew that two titans were about to fight in a fierce battle.
It took a few dozen stricks for the result to be declared, and the Cleyk clearly didn't expect that many to stay neutral..
"Well then, Reith, your empire has chosen the war path, expect us to destroy any military ship of your kind, that's all I have to say, you are all dismissed! - He said with a happy tone...
I really wished they knew what they were about to fight with.....

The War is declared, the 2th Cleyk Attack and Raid Fleet approaches the system of Nyrda (Plok for Terrans).

Species: Cleyk - commander Yuok - commanding the 2th attack and raid fleet, aboard the CFCS Hutylid.
I was anxious for the start of the conflict, it would be a massacre, I didn't expect much resistance from these so called humans, they are greatly weakened.
"Sir! Our long range sensors have detected an Unknown vessel on our path, we will arrive in communication range in 15 galactic time units!" - My Sensor observation officer said.
"Prepare the weapons and arm the shields" - I responded.
I ordered him to arm the shields, something is wrong, no species would send one single ship to intercept a war fleet...
My suspicions were confirmed when we got in visual range, the Vessel that we detected was gigantic, 3 times the length of our carriers, I was impressed, and so was my crew, we were speechless...
"Sir! They are hailing us! Should we let them through?" - My communication officer said.
"Let them through, I want to see what these humans look like."
A few galactic time units later, our translation software finished the translation, and the screen lit up. A pinkish creature, with white and gray hair on the top of his braincase and face, using a suit of green color, with yellow and blue stripes, on the left side of his body, a name, which was translated to 'Fernando da Silva Magalhães', he was clearly tired, a lot wrinkles around his eyes and mouth,2 eyes, 2 appendages for manipulation, bipedal, very different from us, as it's common for species to have 4 eyes...
Then, it spoke in a coarse, low voice, I expected it though, as this individual was clearly old...
"My name is Fernando da Silva Magalhães, commander of the UNCS Brazil, Is this the fleet that's supposed to kill humanity? - he asked.
"Greetings, human, my name is Yuok, commander of this fleet, I offer you a deal, surrender immediately and I promise that your extinction will be quick and you will not suffer with pain." - I said with a serious voice.
Then, something that I wasn't expecting happened, the human started to tear up...
"This is so heart wrenching, kid, you are clearly so young, yet, your leader sent you and dozens of other individuals of your species to fight on a conflict that could have been avoided all together, and solved with diplomacy, may I ask you, do you have a family back home, waiting for you?" - He spoke, with more tears forming on his eyes...
"...yes..." - I answered hesitantly.
I then noticed that my had crew stopped what they were doing to listen to him...
"I'm giving you one last chance, kid, please, spare your life and the lives of your crew, I've seen what my species is capable of, I've killed many in the past as part of my job, and it hurts to know that I killed people that had a family, that had someone waiting for them back home, please, if you want to see your family again, go home, don't start a war that isn't needed..." - He asked, almost begging me, while whipping his tears from his face...
I was confused, it was the first time that I thought about it, however, I knew that my family would suffer great consequences if I refused to fight..
"I'm sorry sir, but retreat is not an option for my species." - I spoke
He sighted.
"I'm extremely sorry for what is going to happen now, may the best fleet win."
Then he cut contact
"Sir, we are detecting a big energy surge coming from the enemy! - one of my crew yelled."
When I looked back, I could see thousands of Magnetic cannons charging up and 26 fighters detaching from the vessel, then, the cannons fired.
"ENGAGE EVASIVE MANEUVERING NOW!" - I yelled.
Our ships broke formation, we managed to dodge the majority of the rounds, but some of our ships still got hit, luckily, our shields held up.
Our fighters were struggling to keep their fighters away from us to, I was starting to get worried
"Shields at 50% sir! we can't afford another hit-" my Shield Controller said, before she got interrupted by the computer.
"Multiple nuclear warheads inbound"
They are going nuclear already? damnit!
"Redirect engine power to shield and weapon systems, engage EMP Machines!" - I ordered.
However, it was too late, some of the warheads got destroyed, but the majority of them managed to hit, depleting the shields of the majority of the fleet.
"We lost the CFCS Huoloiyd sir! Our Ships's FTL Core has been damaged! Engines compromised! 2 of our destroyers Reactors detonated! Our anti Projectile defense is crippled!" - One of my crew said, panicking.
I was thinking, how could a single ship dish out so much firepower? But before I could order the remaining ships to rearrange, another alarm appeared...
"Multiple Anti-matter torpedoes inbound, heading for the battleships and the Bridge of the CFCS Hutylid, engage evasive maneuvering, anti projectile defense system offline."
"ENGAGE EVASIVE MANEUVERING, ORDER THE BATTLESHIPS TO FLANK WEST AND EAST, GET OUT OF THE WAY OF THOSE TORPEDOS, IF THEY HIT, WE WILL LOSE THE SHIPS!" - I yelled as I started to panic, that's when I failed to realize, that a torpedo was in the direction of our bridge...
When I realized, I just stood there, I knew it was too late to save our ship, I then did something that the Fleyk Federation hadn't done in Hundreds of Galactic Cycles...
"ABANDON SHIP, I REPEAT, ABANDON SHIP!" - I yelled again.
Me and my crew ran through the smoke and fire on the halls to the escape pods, suddenly, the entire ship jerked violently, as the anti matter torpedo collided with us, we fell but quickly resumed running after getting up, I could feel as the atmosphere started to vent out of the hull breach where the torpedo had hit, I failed to notice the glass shard on my arm and the serious bleeding..
When we got the pods, we ejected, knowing that we would probably be killed as well, but,,
We didn't get hit.
I watched as our fleet got destroyed, ship by ship, the enemy vessel, not even a visible dent or scratch on its hull...
I didn't take long for some of the other ships to get abandoned as well, hundreds of escape pods floating as the main ships got destroyed...

You can’t stream Lightyear yet — but you’ll be able to soon. As a Disney movie, you can expect Lightyear to drop on their streaming service, Disney Plus, in the coming weeks, but the exact date of when that might happen hasn’t been announced yet.

The title says it. I have a 1" by .5" tattoo of a cross near my sternum that I did with black fabric paint when I was 14 (I’m 20 now, and full of regret) and I’ve come looking for opinions and advice before I go trying to remove it.

I touched it up with ink I found on AliExpress a little later but most of it is fabric paint. The edges have faded a little but other than that it is pretty solid still. (I dont have the link for it.)
Does anyone have even an inkling if modern methods of tattoo removal would work for a tattoo done with fabric paint? It is safe to remove it with modern methods of tattoo removal? If not, are there any other methods I can persue?
I cringe just saying all this but I thought it would be worth a shot before I go and spend copious amounts of money to try and get it removed.
